Abstract

Leadership is influencing other people to support the achievement of relevant organizational goals. Leadership is an art of ability or technique to make a group of people follow or comply with whatever is desired and make them enthusiastic about following it. Leadership is the art of influencing other people, such as the use of influence, action, or behavior, a form of persuasion, leadership as a means of achieving goals, the result of interaction, and so on. As a leader, you should also be able to speak in public and make presentations. Converting an oral message to an audience is essential in conveying ideas and messages to be widely understood. For this reason, SMAK Immanuel Batam students must be prepared as early as possible to speak well in public. This program was implemented at SMAK Immanuel Batam, where OSIS members were for class X Science and Social Sciences. This exercise uses training as a means of carrying out community service. Mentoring or lectures, conversations, and practice are part of the training, including public speaking techniques and developing presentation concepts. These exercises help participants learn how to manage nervousness and fear when giving a public speech and how to develop a practical presentation of ideas. The students enjoyed the activities, which lasted for 5 days.

Abstract

Hak Asasi Manusia (HAM) merupakan hak dasar yang melekat pada setiap individu sejak lahir, sebagai anugerah Ilahi. Indonesia telah memberikan kerangka hukum yang kuat bagi HAM melalui UUD 1945 dan UU No. 39 Tahun 1999. Meskipun terdapat upaya-upaya tersebut, penegakan HAM masih menghadapi tantangan yang signifikan. Kasus-kasus bersejarah seperti tragedi Tanjung Priok, penghilangan paksa pada tahun 1997–1998, dan pelanggaran hak asasi manusia di Timor Timur menyoroti kelemahan sistemik dalam kerangka hukum dan kelembagaan. Pembentukan Komisi Nasional Hak Asasi Manusia (Komnas HAM) dan Pengadilan Hak Asasi Manusia bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini namun terhambat oleh campur tangan politik, kurangnya independensi peradilan, dan sumber daya yang tidak memadai. Para korban seringkali mengalami trauma yang berkepanjangan, dan kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap sistem peradilan masih rendah karena tidak adanya proses hukum yang transparan dan adil. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan tinjauan pustaka kualitatif untuk menganalisis upaya hukum Indonesia dalam melindungi dan memajukan HAM. Rekomendasi-rekomendasinya termasuk meningkatkan kapasitas peradilan, memberikan perlindungan yang lebih kuat bagi korban dan saksi, dan meminimalkan pengaruh politik. Langkah-langkah ini sangat penting untuk meningkatkan mekanisme penegakan hukum dan menjamin keadilan bagi para korban pelanggaran HAM. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya reformasi hukum dan peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat untuk memperkuat perlindungan hak asasi manusia di Indonesia

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tantangan dan peluang terkait dengan hak asasi manusia dalam menghadapi kejahatan siber di era digital. Perkembangan pesat teknologi digital memberikan manfaat besar, namun juga menimbulkan ancaman serius terhadap privasi, kebebasan berekspresi, dan perlindungan data pribadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan telaah dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesenjangan regulasi, rentannya kelompok perempuan, anak-anak, dan minoritas terhadap kejahatan siber, serta perlindungan data pribadi yang masih lemah, menjadi tantangan utama dalam melindungi hak asasi manusia di dunia maya. Di sisi lain, teknologi juga menawarkan peluang untuk mitigasi kejahatan siber melalui solusi keamanan yang canggih, meskipun implementasinya terbatas oleh akses dan biaya. Penelitian ini menyarankan pembaruan regulasi, perluasan edukasi digital, pengembangan teknologi keamanan yang lebih terjangkau, dan pendekatan lintas sektor untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Kerjasama internasional dan kebijakan yang lebih responsif terhadap perkembangan teknologi digital diharapkan dapat memperkuat perlindungan hak asasi manusia di dunia maya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak globalisasi terhadap demokrasi di Indonesia, khususnya dalam konteks stabilitas dan kualitas demokrasi. Globalisasi, selain membawa kemajuan ekonomi dan integrasi global, juga menimbulkan tantangan serius bagi demokrasi di negara-negara berkembang seperti Indonesia. Salah satu dampak negatifnya adalah dominasi korporasi besar dalam politik yang dapat melemahkan peran masyarakat dalam proses demokrasi. Selain itu, krisis kepercayaan terhadap lembaga-lembaga demokrasi muncul ketika pemerintah dianggap kurang tanggap terhadap kesenjangan ekonomi yang diperburuk oleh globalisasi. Di era digital, penelitian ini juga menyoroti peran internet dalam memperluas partisipasi politik masyarakat sekaligus menekankan pentingnya literasi digital untuk mencegah manipulasi informasi. Studi ini merekomendasikan upaya untuk meningkatkan akuntabilitas dan transparansi pemerintah, serta memperkuat keterlibatan masyarakat sipil untuk memperkuat landasan demokrasi di tengah tantangan globalisasi.

Abstract

This study analyzes women's representation in politics in the Indonesian House of Representatives in 2024-2029. Although women's participation in politics has increased, their number in parliament has still not reached the target of 30% according to Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning Elections. In the most recent election, women's representation reached 21.9%, up from the previous period, but still shows a gap between the number of female candidates nominated and those elected. Personal, cultural, and structural barriers are the main factors that hinder the achievement of gender quotas. Therefore, although affirmative action has been implemented, further efforts are still needed to encourage the role of women in politics.

Abstract

This research compares e-procurement applications in Indonesia and Malaysia, which are the applications of e-procurement as a renewal of the goods/services procurement system. Malaysia and Indonesia have implemented e-procurement, and the presence of corrupt practices has made both countries focus on increasing transparency. The number of procurement transactions in Indonesia increased significantly from 2008 to 2017, with total spending reaching more than 1000 trillion Rupiah in 2020. The number of online e-procurement transactions in Malaysia has decreased from 2014-2015, with an overall decrease in transactions from 1,577,740 to 1,540,314. The results showed that Malaysia and Indonesia conducted Peer Exchange activities to exchange experiences and knowledge about Ecolabeling and GPP. Green procurement can use e-procurement as one of the methods to ensure transparency and efficiency in the procurement process. E-procurement can help control inventory, reduce costs, and improve agreement conformity with suppliers. Therefore, the author would like to compare the implementation of the system in Indonesia and Malaysia in terms of the procurement of goods/services.

Abstract

Kota Batam menawarkan konteks yang kaya dan dinamis untuk menguji teori Handoko mengenai efektivitas perencanaan, mengingat tantangan unik yang dihadapinya dan keragaman aspek yang perlu dikelola dalam proses perencanaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengevaluasi efektivitas perencanaan daerah dalam pembangunan di Kota Batam menggunakan teori Handoko (2015) tentang Efektivitas Perencanaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur, Lokasi penelitian ini berfokus pada Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Daerah Kota Batam, yang memiliki TUPOKSI berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Negara Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara dan Reformasi Birokrasi Nomor 29 Tahun 2010 tentang Pedoman Penyusunan Penetapan Kinerja dan Pelaporan Akuntabilitas Kinerja Instansi Pemerintah. Hasil penelitian menyebutkan bahwa Secara umum, perencanaan daerah di Kota Batam menunjukkan efektivitas yang tinggi dalam hal kegunaan, ketepatan, objektivitas, dan akuntabilitas. Namun, ada beberapa area yang memerlukan perhatian khusus, terutama dalam efektivitas biaya dan ketepatan waktu pelatihan serta penelitian. Untuk meningkatkan efektivitas perencanaan, disarankan agar Bapedalitbangda Kota Batam, 2024 fokus pada peningkatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia dan mendukung lebih banyak penelitian dan kajian yang relevan

Abstract

This research to examine the effect of Service Quality and Employee Performance on the Satisfaction of BPJS Patients hospitalized in Embung Fatimah Hospital. This type of research uses quantitative research. This study uses a questionnaire method which is the process of collecting data by making questions or statements, then submitted to respondents. The number of respondents was 30. Data processing and analysis techniques in this study used the classical assumption test, descriptive analysis, multiple linear analysis, and coefficient of determination analysis. This study shows that the independent variables namely Service Quality partially have a positive effect on Patient Satisfaction with the results of t-count calculation of 2.222> t-table with the acquisition of 1.703. The test results of Employee Performance variables also show a positive relationship with the results of the calculation of t-count of 1.256> t-table with the obtained value of 1.703. Service Quality and Employee Performance variables simultaneously influence Patient Satisfaction with the acquisition of f-counts of 4.289. By looking at this research, it is expected that the leaders of the Embung Fatimah Hospital will always be open and accept any complaints from patients or communities who use services and provide solutions.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe a strategy to improve quality inpatient services at the Bulang Health Center Bulang District. This study uses descriptive research method with qualitative approach. This collection process is carried out by means of observation of interview and documentation. Interviews was conducted with Doctor, nurses, and patients in Bulang District. This research analyzed method analysis of Stranght, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat (SWOT) paying attention to internal and external factors. Based results the study using the SWOT analysis the strategies used by Bulang Community Health Center improve the quality of inpatient services are: (A) StrengthOpportunity SO Strategy namely Improving the quality inpatient services Improving the quality and supply of medicines available also improving work same between employees. (B) strength-threat, Increasing collaboration between the Bulang Health Center and the community. (C) Weakness-Oppportunity WO Strategy, which is to to make quality human resources in accordance their profession also repair facilities infrastructure to repair the quality of services at the Puskesmas. (D) Weakness-Threat WT Strategy, Improving, accordance with their fields order to provide good quality services to community Bulang District. Based on these results, hoped Bulang Health Center will improve the quality of services, especially in inpatient services.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the performance of the Population and Civil Registration Agency of Batam especially in implementing the effectiveness and the efficiency of public service of Electronic ID Card (e-KTP). Data shows the obstacles in public service of e-KTP such as the number of blank e-KTP are still lack, allegations of maladministration, suspicion of prolonged delays in issuing e-KTP. It also reported on the Top Three category of public services cases in Batam in 2019. This research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. Data collected by using direct interviews, direct observation and documentation (books and journals) and uses Spradley method by determining the key informants continued by interviewing and completed by reporting. The results of this study conclude that the performance of the Population and Civil Registration Agency of Batam is good but still need improvements for better public service, especially for e-KTP. It is assessed based on Dwiyanto's performance indicator theory, such as productivity, service quality, responsiveness, responsibility, accountability and Pasolong’s theory that describe the factors that influence the performance of public organizations such as ability, willingness, energy, technology, compensation, clarity of objectives, and security.
