Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe a strategy to improve quality inpatient services at the Bulang Health Center Bulang District. This study uses descriptive research method with qualitative approach. This collection process is carried out by means of observation of interview and documentation. Interviews was conducted with Doctor, nurses, and patients in Bulang District. This research analyzed method analysis of Stranght, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat (SWOT) paying attention to internal and external factors. Based results the study using the SWOT analysis the strategies used by Bulang Community Health Center improve the quality of inpatient services are: (A) StrengthOpportunity SO Strategy namely Improving the quality inpatient services Improving the quality and supply of medicines available also improving work same between employees. (B) strength-threat, Increasing collaboration between the Bulang Health Center and the community. (C) Weakness-Oppportunity WO Strategy, which is to to make quality human resources in accordance their profession also repair facilities infrastructure to repair the quality of services at the Puskesmas. (D) Weakness-Threat WT Strategy, Improving, accordance with their fields order to provide good quality services to community Bulang District. Based on these results, hoped Bulang Health Center will improve the quality of services, especially in inpatient services.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the performance of the Population and Civil Registration Agency of Batam especially in implementing the effectiveness and the efficiency of public service of Electronic ID Card (e-KTP). Data shows the obstacles in public service of e-KTP such as the number of blank e-KTP are still lack, allegations of maladministration, suspicion of prolonged delays in issuing e-KTP. It also reported on the Top Three category of public services cases in Batam in 2019. This research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. Data collected by using direct interviews, direct observation and documentation (books and journals) and uses Spradley method by determining the key informants continued by interviewing and completed by reporting. The results of this study conclude that the performance of the Population and Civil Registration Agency of Batam is good but still need improvements for better public service, especially for e-KTP. It is assessed based on Dwiyanto's performance indicator theory, such as productivity, service quality, responsiveness, responsibility, accountability and Pasolong’s theory that describe the factors that influence the performance of public organizations such as ability, willingness, energy, technology, compensation, clarity of objectives, and security.

Abstract

This research was conducted for understanding how the activities carried out by the Department of Transportation in conducting roadworthiness tests for public transport. By using qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques, in accordance with the results obtained in the field. This study uses 4 indicators of public service management proposed by Robert J Mocler and D.R Gilbert Jr, namely standards, measurement, comparison, action. Problems encountered were related to roadworthy testing of public transport, Standard Operating Procedures that were not socialized, testing equipment that died but had not been repaired, and human resources who did not fully understand transportation testing. In this case, the inhibiting factors of the problems that occur are the socialization process and budget, related to good roadworthiness testing through periodic tests at the Transportation Service Office which is lacking so that public awareness to conduct periodic tests is very low. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of the roadworthiness test for public transportation has been going well but is still not fully maximized so it needs to be monitored regularly. Abstract

The presence of homeless and beggars is not only an eyesore, but also disturbs public order and their presence also violates the government's policy on areas free from homeless people and beggars as regulated in Batam City Regional Regulation Number 6 of 2002 concerning Social Order in Batam City. Social Rehabilitation carried out by the Batam City Social Service and Community Empowerment is a breakthrough made by the government in eradicating the problem of homeless people and beggars in Batam City. The research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Social Rehabilitation of the homeless and beggars in Batam City and to analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors of the Social Rehabilitation of the homeless and beggars in Batam City. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The results of this study can be concluded that the effectiveness of the social rehabilitation program for homeless beggars in the city of Batam has been running quite well but in its implementation there are several obstacles such as lack of communication, resources. It is hoped that by knowing these weak sides, it must be addressed as soon as possible so that the social rehabilitation program can run well.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the performance of the Batam City Population and Civil Registry Service in carrying out the service of making death certificates and birth certificates in Batam City. From the research carried out, there are data explaining the problems that occur in the service of making death certificates and birth certificates such as public complaints about inadequate services obtained by the community and also related to the quality of the performance of the Batam City Population and Civil Registry Office. How the implementation of the services provided must be able to achieve standards and produce effective and efficient performance in carrying out their duties. The method used in this research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. Informants who were takenby researchers from the Batam City Population and Civil Registry Office and people who used the services of making death certificates and birth certificates. Researchers collect data from direct observation down to the field of interviews and documentation as well as information obtained from journals and books. The results obtained from this study can be concluded that the Batam City Population and Civil Registry Service has provided good services but there are some things that need to be improved, especially the awareness and responsibility of the resources that provide services. This can be found in Dwiyanto and Pasolong's theory of performance indicators, such as accountability, service quality, responsiveness, responsibility, and accountability

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Motivation and Work Discipline on the Performance of employees in the Batam City District Office. The research method used is explanatory and quantitative in nature. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling technique, namely the sample in this study consisted of 40 employees who served in the Batam City District Office. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire by distributing questionnaires to respondents. Data were processed using SPSS software version 29 with the results showing that motivation has a positive but not significant effect on employee performance with t count 0.199 < t table 2,0261 ​​and a significance of 0.843 > 0.05. Work Discipline obtained t count value of 7,823 > t table 2,0261 ​​with a significance of 0.00 < 0.05 which means that Work Discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Motivation and Work Discipline simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, this is evidenced by the value of the F test results with F count 40.164 > F table 3.25 and a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. And the R-Square value is 0.685.

Abstract

A series of efforts have been implemented by the Batam City Transportation Service in providing a number of conveniences to people who use Trans Batam Bus services, one of which is creating the Trans Batam Passenger Information System (SIP TB) application. This innovation answers the demands of the Batam City Government, in improving public services, in this case applications, where local government applications are expected to become e-government media as a means of interaction between the government and the public as well as facilitating electronic services. However, there are still deficiencies in this application where the SIP TB application has not been able to fully track the whereabouts of the Trans Batam buses because a number of buses still do not have GPS installed. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of E-Government-based Trans Batam transportation service innovations by the Batam City Transportation Service and to analyze the factors that influence the effectiveness of E-Government-based Trans Batam transportation service innovations by the Batam City Transportation Service. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Abstract

Numerous system modifications were made during the transitional period that followed Ministerial Regulation Number 24 of 2018 about Electronically Integrated Business Licensing Services. Two examples of these changes are the PTSP system to OSS and guidelines for managing the shift from offline to online services. A purposive sample and a qualitative technique are employed in this study. The research instruments were observations and interviews. Data collection techniques include document analysis, field notebook use, and interviewing guidelines. Interviews and in-person field observations were conducted. Data collection was done continuously. data analysis with an approach based on themes. triangulating data to make sure the outcomes are reliable. The informed consent was given by the participants after they received all research information in writing. The results showed that the Easy PTSP online system and Online Single Submission (OSS) improved Batam City's competitiveness. Scene Digital The Easy PTSP Online system makes the licensing procedure faster and easier, higher input efficiency and output quality as compared to other services.

Abstract

Salah satu kejahatan keuangan yang secara signifikan mempengaruhi stabilitas ekonomi suatu negara adalah pencucian uang.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana pemerintah Indonesia mencegah pencucian uang.  Data dikumpulkan dari laporan PPATK, peraturan perundang-undangan, dan wawancara dengan para profesional di bidang hukum dan keuangan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dan analisis dokumen. Temuan-temuan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah Indonesia telah membuat kemajuan penting dengan menetapkan undang-undang seperti UU No. 8/2010, membentuk organisasi seperti PPATK dan OJK, dan berkolaborasi secara internasional dengan organisasi-organisasi seperti FATF dan APG.  Namun demikian, masih terdapat beberapa masalah seperti perkembangan teknologi keuangan, kurangnya koordinasi antar lembaga, kelangkaan sumber daya manusia, dan teknologi pemantauan.  Menurut temuan studi ini, kerangka kerja anti-pencucian uang di Indonesia harus diperkuat melalui peningkatan kapasitas kelembagaan, kerja sama lintas sektor, dan pendekatan yang terintegrasi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the implementation of the Electronic Population Application Service (LAKSE) at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Batam City. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, focusing on documentation studies to systematically explain the features, benefits, and challenges of the LAKSE application. The LAKSE application represents a digital innovation designed to streamline population administration processes, offering online services for obtaining essential documents such as identity cards, family cards, and birth or death certificates. Findings indicate that the LAKSE application has successfully improved service delivery by reducing queues, enhancing accessibility, and facilitating efficient data management. The application simplifies administrative procedures through its user-friendly interface and online submission system, allowing users to process requests from their homes. However, challenges persist in raising public awareness and ensuring widespread adoption, particularly among individuals less familiar with digital tools. In conclusion, the LAKSE application serves as an effective innovation for modernizing population administration services in Batam City. To maximize its potential, increased dissemination of information and technical support are crucial to fostering broader community participation. This research underscores the importance of digital transformation in public services to enhance efficiency, accessibility, and citizen satisfaction.
