Abstract

Wampu Watershed is defined as the restored watershed carrying capacity according to Regulation of the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia Number P.60 / Menhut-II / 2012. The land use for intensive agriculture is very dominant in Wampu watershed and increase the damage which is now often felt by the public. For that reason, that’s done a research for counting the suspended load that occured in Middle-stream of Wampu Watershed. The research was conducted on May up to September 2014 in Bahorok, Salapian, Kuala, and Selesai, by using survey method with taking sample randomly and continued by calculated of suspended load with United State Beureu Reclamation (USBR) method. Data processing used ArcView GIS 3.3. The results of this research showed that the highest suspended sediment discharged in middle-stream of Wampu watershed is 1.501.227,19 grams/second in Tanjung Lenggang, 324.625,29 grams/second in Empus, and 2.572,58 grams/second in Tanjung Keriahen. Therefore it’s necessary to control by doing an appropriate conservation measures to suppress the larger possibility of sedimentation. Abstract

Toba Samosir Forest  Management Unit has a Community Forest (HKm) managed by Farmers Group Association Sibisa Motung. This study aimed to classify land use in community Forest at Toba Samosir Forest Management Unit. The research was conducted from April to May 2015 using the Stratified Random Sampling method. The results showed that there are six land use system in HKm, that is the type of combination of forest trees and perennial plants (PlPhTh), the type of combination of forest trees, perennial plants and vegetable plants (PlPhThTs), the type of combination of forest trees, perennial plants and fruit plants (PlPhTtPb), the type of combination of forest trees, vegetable plants and fruit plants (PlPhTsPb), the type of combination of forest trees and vegetable plants (PlTtPb), type of forest trees, perennial plans, vegetable plants and fruit plants (PlPhTtTsPb) and spread in village Motung, village Pardamean Sibisa and village Sigapiton. Combination type of forest trees, perennial plans, vegetable plants and fruit plants are either applied for maximing farmland and provide economic benefits for farmers. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out the effect of leaf age toward the antioxidant activity and acceptance of avocado leaves herbal tea by panelists. This research used a Completely Randomized Design Experiment with four treatments and four repetitions. The treatment applied toward the avocado leaves herbal tea were P1 : shoots (the first leaves appeared on the top of the branches), P2 : young leaves (the 1st–3rd leaves after the shoot), P3: medium old leaves (the 4th–6th leaves after the shoot), and P4 : old leaves (the 7th–9th leaves after the shoot). Collected data were statistically analized using ANOVA and DNMRT at 5% level. The results showed that the leaves age significantly affected on water content, ash, polyphenol, antioxidant activity and sensory assesment descriptive and hedonic. The choosen treatment from the results of this research was P1 (the first leaves appeared on the top of the branches) that had 5,67% of moisture content, 3,27% of ash content, 7,33% polyphenol content, 54,69 µg/mL of antioxidant activity (IC50). The results of descriptive assesment showed that tea of avocado leaves had yellow brownish color, slightly unpleasent scent, and a little slightly bitter taste. Hedonic assesment showed avocado leaf tea had favored colors, quite fond sense, and the overall assessment of tea was quite favored. Abstract

AbstractMangrove serve as habitat for mangrove snail, including Cerithidea quadrata. Aresearch aims to understand the relationship between mangrove density and the abundance of mangrove snails (C. quadrata) has been conducted from May to July 2020 in the Sungai Asam Village, Indragiri Hilir Regency. A purposive sampling method was applied. There were 3 observation stations, and in each stations there were 3 transect lines. In  each transect line, there were 3 observation plots (10 x10 m) with 5 subplots (1x1 m) in each plot. The relationship between mangrove density and the abundance of mangrove snails was analyzed using a simple linear regression. The density of mangroves was around 844.44–1,100.00 (trees/ha), while the abundance of mangrove snails ranges from 6,222.22 to 13,333.33 (organisms/ha). Results shown that there was a very strong relationship between the mangrove density and snail abundance. The environmental condition in general is good and able to support the life of the mangrove snail. Keywords: Mangroves, gastropods, environmental parameters and Asam River

Abstract

This research purpose is for testing effects from quality of human resources,, individual performance, and utillization technology of information in simultaneous nor partial toward relevance government financial report to Yogyakarta government. Population from this research is employee/staff that do fungtion of accountancy at Yogyakarta mayor office.sample of this research determined with using purposive sampling technique with criteria that we have, with the result 50 questionnaire which is fulfill the condition as a sample. Kind of data that we use is primary data. From the questionnaire that spread 8 (eight) SKPD are social agency, coperation agency, midle micro labor,employeed teritory agency, BAPPEDA, cultural agency, tourism agency, and secretariat DPRD central, and all of them fill with complete. Analysis technique data that used is using regression double linier method. Result regression test, indicatin if the quality of human resource, individual performance, and utillization technology of information in simultaneous has influential significantly positive into the relevance government financial report. In partial, the quality of human resource, and individual performance, not influential significantly toward relevance of government financial report and utillization technology of information influent signifanctly positive toward relevance financial report. the influence of independent variable looked by coefficient determination value (R2) is 0,384, that had meaning the quality of human resource individual performance, and utillization technology of information, give positive effect toward relevance of government financial report as much 38,5% while the 61,6% influence by another variable beside this research. Abstract

Limbah merupakan salah satu penyebab masalah lingkungan yang disebabkan aktifitas penambangan, sehingga limbah perlu dikelola dengan baik dan benar agar tidak berpotensi merusak lingkungan. guna mendukung operasional, PT AMNT mengoperasikan PLTU berkapasitas 157 MW dengan produksi limbah abu terbang dan abu dasar 12.000 m3 /tahun. PT AMNT telah melakukan penerapan waste hierarchy yaitu reduce, reuse, recycle, diharapkan pemanfaatan limbah B3 abu terbang dan abu dasar dapat dioptimalkan mendekati 100% dengan cara limbah abu terbang dan abu dasar sebagai campuran tanah untuk kontruksi pengeras jalan pada proyek reklamasi.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat erosi guna mendapatkan acuan konservasi tanah pada berbagai tipe penggunaan lahan di Kecamatan Merdeka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei analisis prediksi erosi yang dilakukan dengan metode USLE. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa laju erosi tertinggi terdapat pada penggunaan lahan tegalan yaitu sebesar 2.959,018 ton/ha/tahun, sedangkan erosi terendah terdapat pada penggunaan lahan permukiman yaitu sebesar 29,810 ton/ha/tahun. Erosi terbolehkan tertinggi dan terendah terdapat pada penggunaan lahan semak belukar yaitu masing – masing sebesar 36,96 ton/ha/tahun dan 6,81 ton/ha/tahun. Indeks bahaya erosi tertinggi terdapat pada penggunaan lahan Hutan sekunder yaitu sebesar 342 ton/ha/tahun, sedangkan indeks bahaya erosi terendah terdapat pada penggunaan lahan semak belukar yaitu sebesar 1,08 ton/ha/tahun. Ada 3 (tiga) kategori tingkat bahaya erosi di Kecamatan Merdeka yaitu tingkat bahaya erosi level sedang, tinggi, dan sangat tinggi. Teknik konservasi tanah mekanik yang digunakan seperti teras bangku, guludan, saluran penampungan air, saluran pengelak, dan penanaman sejajar kontur  sedangkan teknik konservasi vegetatif yaitu seperti tumpang sari, mulsa organik, pengkayaan tanaman keras, pohon serbaguna, kebun campuran, dan tanaman penutup tanah.  Kata kunci : Erosi Tanah metode USLE, Indeks Bahaya Erosi, Konservasi Tanah Abstract The purpose of this research is to know the level of erosion to get the reference of soil conservation on various types of land use in Merdeka District. This research used erosion prediction analysis survey method with USLE method. The results showed that the highest erosion rate was found on the using of  land, of 2,959,018 tons/ha/ year, while the lowest erosion was found on the use of settlement land of 29,810 tons / ha / year. The highest and lowest permissible erosion was found in the use of scrubland, of 36.96 ton / ha / year and 6.81 tons/ha/ year respectively. The highest erosion hazard index was found in secondary forest land use of 342 tons/ha /year, while the lowest erosion index was 1,08 tons /ha/year. There are 3 (three) categories of erosion hazard in Merdeka District, they are medium, high, and very high erosion level. Mechanical soil conservation techniques are used such as bench terraces, bunds, water reservoirs, ducts, and parallel planting of contours while vegetative conservation techniques such as intercropping, organic mulch, hardwood enrichment, multipurpose trees, mixed gardens, and cover crops. Keywords :  Soil Erosion USLE method, Erosion Hazard Index, Soil Conservation

Abstract

DAS Deli merupakan salah satu DAS kritis di propinsi Sumatera Utara yang memerlukan penanganan sebagai lokasi sasaran rehabilitasi. Mata pencaharian sebagian besar penduduk pada lahan dataran tinggi di kawasan hulu DAS Deli adalah bertani. Mereka mengolah lahan pertanian sebesar 82% terutama pada desa-desa di DAS Deli bagian hulu. Keadaan ini menimbulkan kerawanan terhadap erosi dan banjir di daerah hilirnya bila pengelolaan lahan tidak disertai dengan upaya-upaya rehabilitasi lahan dan konservasi tanah dan air. Makalah ini membahas salah satu upaya pengembangan pertanian berkelanjutan berbasis agroekologi yang perlu ditekankan dalam mempertahankan dan meningkatkan produksi pertanian. Penjabarannya mencakup 4 dimensi yaitu dimensi sosial ekonomi, sumberdaya sebagai asset produksi dalam usahatani, peningkatan peranan masyarakat, dan program aksi/implementasi yang realistis. Usaha tani berbasis agroekologi dalam pengelolaan lahan dataran tinggi yang tepat guna dan tepat sasaran dapat memberikan keuntungan ekonomi dan melindungi lahan dan lingkungan secara simultan. Dengan demikian pembangunan pertanian secara berkelanjutan dapat terwujud.

Abstract

Taman Nasional Taka Bonerate merupakan salah satu kawasan konservasi berupa Taman Nasional Laut yang ada di Indonesia. Taman Nasional tersebut memiliki luas kawasan 530.765 ha dan tersusun dari gugusan pulau kecil yang terletak di Laut Flores. Salah satu pulau yang berada pada kawasan tersebut adalah Pulau Jinato yang masih memiliki kualitas terumbu karang yang baik. Hal ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai salah satu lokasi kajian riset pada dunia konservasi. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan identifikasi bentuk pertumbuhan karang keras (hard coral) di perairan tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan di dua kedalaman yaitu kedalaman 4 meter dan kedalaman 7 meter selama 2 bulan. Pelaksanaan penelitian terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu observasi lapangan, pengumpulan data, serta pengolahan dan analisis data. Kegiatan pengumpulan data mencakup identifikasi bentuk pertumbuhan karang melalui studi literatur kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan 5 lifeform karang Acropora yaitu Acropora Branching, Acropora Digitate, Acropora Submassive, Acropora Encrusting, dan Acropora Tabulate. Sedangkan pada bentuk pertumbuhan karang non-Acropora ditemukan 6 lifeform karang yaitu Coral Branching, Coral Mushroom, Coral Submassive, Coral Foliose, Coral Encrusting, dan Coral Massive.

Abstract

TNTBR merupakan Taman Nasional Laut yang terletak di daerah Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar, Sulawesi Selatan. Taman Nasional tersebut menjadi salah satu lokasi penelitian pada dunia konservasi. Salah satu lokasi strategis untuk penelitian tersebut terletak di Pulau Jinato dengan kondisi terumbu karang yang masih bagus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase tutupan karang hidup dan frekuensi kemunculan jenis karang keras (hard coral) di lokasi tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan di dua kedalaman yaitu kedalaman 4 meter dan kedalaman 7 meter selama 2 bulan. Metodologi yang digunakan untuk mengetahui persentase tutupan dan frekuensi kemunculan karang keras dengan Metode LIT (Line Intercept Transect). Pengamatan dilakukan dengan menggunakan tiga stasiun, tiap satu stasiun dipasang rol sepanjang 50 meter. Pemasangan transek dipasang sejajar dengan garis pantai dan mengikuti pesisir pantai, dilakukan 2 kali pengulangan dengan dua kedalaman yang berbeda. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kondisi terumbu karang pada perairan Pulau Jinato berada pada kategori karang baik dengan rata-rata persentase tutupan karang hidup 57.11%. Selanjutnya, total frekuensi kemunculan karang keras yang mendominasi yakni Acropora Branching (ACB) sebesar 42 kemunculan sedangkan yang paling rendah yakni Acropora Submassive (ACS) sebesar 2 kemunculan.
