Abstract

The development of the digital era has brought new challenges to the understanding of national insight, particularly among students. As access to information becomes increasingly open, the potential for bias and disorientation regarding national values also rises, especially when not accompanied by adequate knowledge. In response to this condition, this community service activity was carried out with the aim of reaffirming the spirit of nationalism among the younger generation by strengthening their understanding of national insight. The target of this activity was the students of SMK Tridharma, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo, involving 33 students and 2 speakers. The method used included participatory and educational approaches, beginning with coordination and initial observation stages, followed by the preparation of materials based on student needs, and culminating in the main activity implementation. The materials provided emphasized the introduction of national identity, the fundamental values of the state, the meaning of national symbols, the importance of unity, tolerance, and diversity. The results of this service activity showed an increase in students’ understanding of national values and the emergence of collective awareness regarding the importance of preserving national integrity. In addition, communicative and interactive delivery methods such as dialogic lectures, group discussions, and value simulations proved effective in enhancing active student participation and making the material easier to understand. This activity also offered space for critical reflection, allowing students to connect national insight with the challenges of the digital era that they face. Thus, this community service underscores the importance of an educational approach that is applicable, value-based, and dialogic in shaping a strong sense of nationalism in the younger generation. This becomes a relevant and adaptive strategy for addressing the dynamics of social change in today’s digitalization era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of elections from a supervisory perspective, focusing on the role of the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) in addressing money politics practices in Gorontalo City. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using data collection techniques such as interviews, documentation, and direct observation of monitoring and violation-handling processes. The results show that although Gorontalo City Bawaslu operates under a strong legal foundation—namely Law Number 7 of 2017 and Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perpu) Number 1 of 2022—its implementation still faces numerous challenges on the ground. Out of 11 reported cases of alleged money politics, only 7 were successfully registered, while the rest could not be pursued legally. Four of these were categorized as serious violations, involving administrative, ethical, and criminal offenses. The main obstacles faced by Bawaslu include low public participation in reporting, limited access to the reporting system, insufficient supervisory capacity at lower levels, and weak law enforcement. Nevertheless, Bawaslu has taken several improvement initiatives, such as the Anti-Money Politics Village program and the use of social media for participatory supervision. The study concludes that the performance of Gorontalo City Bawaslu in handling money politics remains suboptimal and calls for comprehensive reforms in terms of resources, transparency, and strengthened collaboration with the public and law enforcement institutions to ensure clean, fair, and democratic elections.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat demokrasi dan pemahaman pemilu bagi pemilih pemula menjelang Pemilu 2024, khususnya pada mahasiswa Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Gorontalo. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilakukan secara offline dengan pendekatan ceramah dan simulasi kepemiluan. Hasil pelaksanaan pengabdian menunjukkan dua aspek penting. Pertama, dari segi pemahaman mahasiswa terkait pemilihan umum, sebanyak 60% peserta mampu memilih sumber informasi yang kredibel, sementara 40% masih memerlukan peningkatan literasi politik. Kedua, terkait pemahaman bentuk pengawasan partisipatif menjelang Pemilu 2024, sebanyak 20% peserta masih belum mampu mengidentifikasi secara menyeluruh, sedangkan 80% yang terlibat dalam kegiatan ini telah meningkatkan pemahamannya. Secara umum, hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian mahasiswa memberikan dampak positif terhadap pemahaman mahasiswa Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Gorontalo. Meskipun sebagian peserta memerlukan perhatian lebih dalam meningkatkan literasi politik dan pemahaman pengawasan partisipatif, partisipasi mahasiswa secara signifikan memperbaiki pemahaman sebagian besar peserta. Oleh karena itu, untuk meningkatkan dampak positif dan meratakan pemahaman, disarankan kepada instansi berikutnya, melanjutkan kegiatan pengabdian serupa dengan penekanan pada aspek-aspek yang memerlukan perhatian lebih, seperti pengembangan program literasi politik dan pelatihan mengenai pengawasan partisipatif. Upaya ini diharapkan memastikan mahasiswa Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Gorontalo menjadi agen perubahan yang lebih efektif dalam mendukung proses demokrasi dan pemilihan umum di masa depan.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze procedural negligence by the election organizing groups and their resolution efforts during the 2024 General Elections. The research method used is qualitative. The study is located in Paguyaman Pantai District. Data sources include primary data obtained from election organizing groups in the research area, and secondary data from archived reports, journals, and books to support the research. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings identify several instances of procedural negligence, such as errors in distributing ballots to specific polling stations, damage or loss of crucial documents like the C-Notification (containing vote count results), errors in filling out documents like the C-Results, discrepancies between the number of ballots and the Voter List (DPT), and administrative issues related to document delivery. Resolution efforts involve diverse follow-up actions across various polling stations. For example, replacing damaged or incorrectly placed ballots, reconciliation after vote counting, assistance during the counting process, discussions to address absenteeism issues, and re-elections with redistributions of ballots. In conclusion, addressing these instances of procedural negligence requires diverse strategies to ensure the integrity and success of the electoral process. These efforts are crucial to minimize negative impacts on the validity and integrity of democratic processes at each Polling Station. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman politik dan memperkuat nation building melalui partisipasi edukatif siswa di SMAN 7 Gorontalo. Latar belakang kegiatan ini berangkat dari fenomena rendahnya kesadaran politik di kalangan pelajar yang berdampak pada lemahnya semangat kebangsaan dan partisipasi warga negara muda dalam kehidupan demokratis. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini dirancang untuk menghadirkan pembelajaran politik yang kontekstual, reflektif, dan partisipatif agar siswa mampu memahami hubungan antara pengetahuan politik dengan tanggung jawab kebangsaan. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan participatory education yang melibatkan siswa secara aktif melalui observasi, sosialisasi, diskusi kelompok, dan refleksi nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam konteks kehidupan berbangsa. Data diperoleh melalui survei menggunakan angket yang dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif, kemudian disajikan dalam bentuk grafik untuk menggambarkan persepsi dan tingkat pemahaman siswa terhadap politik dan nation building. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa berada pada kategori “Setuju” dan “Sangat Setuju” terhadap pentingnya pemahaman politik dalam membentuk kesadaran kebangsaan. Keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam kegiatan diskusi dan refleksi menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi edukatif mampu menjadi sarana efektif dalam menumbuhkan rasa tanggung jawab sosial dan kesadaran bernegara. Kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi model edukatif berkelanjutan dalam penguatan karakter kebangsaan di lingkungan sekolah

Abstract

Bullying among students is increasingly complex in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, especially in the form of digital bullying that affects students' mental health and character. This service activity aims to provide character education in response to this phenomenon, so that students are able to build awareness and resilience in facing digital social pressure. The service methods used include interactive lectures, value simulation, and case study-based mentoring. This activity involved 34 students as the main target and 3 resource persons as facilitators The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the form and impact of digital bullying, as well as the growth of concern and proactive attitude to create a safe school environment. Participants also showed improved ability to manage emotions, understand the importance of strong character, and not respond to pressure with aggressive actions. Based on these results, it is recommended that character education based on anti-bullying values continue to be strengthened through continuous habituation and training programs, in order to form a resilient and adaptive young generation in the digital era.
