Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manajemen kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan budaya literasi di MIN 2 Samarinda. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru, petugas perpustakaan, dan siswa sebagai sumber data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah menjalankan fungsi manajemen secara efektif, meliputi perencanaan program literasi berbasis kebutuhan siswa, pengorganisasian melalui pembagian tugas dan pelatihan, pelaksanaan kegiatan literasi terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran, serta pengendalian melalui supervisi dan evaluasi rutin. Keberhasilan program didukung oleh komitmen guru, petugas perpustakaan, serta fasilitas yang mendukung, sementara hambatan muncul dari rendahnya kesadaran literasi siswa dan orang tua, ketergantungan pada media hiburan, dan keterbatasan koleksi buku. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa budaya literasi di MIN 2 Samarinda berkembang positif, dan perlu terus diperkuat melalui sinergi antara sekolah dan orang tua serta penerapan literasi dalam kegiatan intrakurikuler dan ekstrakurikuler.

Abstract

Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools (SDIT) carry a dual strategic mission: delivering high-quality education while simultaneously cultivating students' character grounded in Islamic values. This study aims to analyze and construct a conceptual framework for the implementation of Islamic values-based educational management in SDIT through a systematic library research approach. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, utilizing content analysis of ten selected peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2021 and 2025. The findings reveal that Islamic values-based educational management in SDIT encompasses five interrelated dimensions: (1) curriculum planning grounded in the principles of syura and tawhid; (2) instructional implementation through values integration and Islamic habituation programs; (3) application of Total Quality Management synergized with the values of amanah and ihsan; (4) spiritual-professional leadership that regards institutional roles as a divine trust (amanah); and (5) student character development through structured worship routines and teacher exemplarity. These findings affirm that Islamic values and modern management principles are not contradictory entities but can be synergistically integrated to produce a holistic, adaptive, and high-quality educational system. This study contributes to the theoretical development of Islamic educational management frameworks, offering practical guidance for practitioners and policymakers within SDIT and comparable Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Islamic education management based on the Qur'an and Hadith is a necessity in realizing holistic, authentic, and character-based governance of Islamic educational institutions. This study aims to identify the principles of Islamic education management contained in the Qur'an and Hadith, analyze their relevance to modern educational management functions, and formulate an integrative conceptual model of Islamic education management. The method employed is qualitative with a library research approach through content analysis technique and maudhui thematic method. The findings reveal that the Qur'an and Hadith contain fundamental managerial principles including amanah, 'adl, shura, tauhid, itqan, falah, and moral development, which are substantially relevant to the functions of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling in modern educational management. This study also successfully formulates an integrative conceptual model that places tauhid as the central axis of all managerial activities with maqashid al-syari'ah as its evaluative framework. This model proves capable of comprehensively addressing the dichotomy between Islamic normative values and contemporary managerial approaches. This research contributes to strengthening the theoretical foundation of Islamic education management and provides normative guidance for Islamic educational institution managers in building governance that is effective, integrity-based, and spiritually dimensional.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, modern educational institutions are faced with the demand to transcend national boundaries through integrated internationalization strategies. This study aims to analyze the strategies and dynamics of international management in modern educational institutions in Indonesia in an effort to maintain global competitiveness. Using a qualitative approach with a literature study method, this study examines several primary references consisting of accredited scientific journals and educational management textbooks. The results show that effective primary strategies include strengthening cross-border strategic alliances, standardizing quality based on international accreditation, and accelerating digitalization through an integrated learning management system. The dynamics found include administrative regulatory barriers, the need to adapt Human Resources competencies that are sensitive to cultural diversity, and challenges in implementing the concept of "Glocalization" which is balancing global quality standards with local wisdom values. This study concludes that the success of international management is highly dependent on transformational leadership that is able to manage organizational change flexibly and adaptively. The implications of this study emphasize the need for continuous investment in technological infrastructure and staff capacity development to face the uncertainties of the global education market.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis secara mendalam strategi kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam pengembangan budaya organisasi pendidikan Islam. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis library research dengan teknik analisis isi (content analysis) yang bersifat deskriptif-interpretatif terhadap berbagai sumber pustaka yang relevan, kredibel, dan mutakhir. Hasil kajian mengungkapkan bahwa penerapan transformational leadership yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai islami, kepemimpinan visioner yang secara konsisten menanamkan shared values kepada seluruh komponen madrasah, serta pelaksanaan program pembiasaan keagamaan yang terstruktur dan berkesinambungan, merupakan strategi utama dalam membentuk budaya organisasi madrasah yang autentik, bermartabat, dan berdaya saing. Faktor pendukung keberhasilan meliputi kompetensi kepemimpinan yang mumpuni, keterlibatan aktif seluruh stakeholder, serta sistem manajemen yang berbasis nilai-nilai Islam secara holistik. Sementara itu, hambatan yang dihadapi mencakup resistensi terhadap perubahan, lemahnya kompetensi manajerial, dan keterbatasan sumber daya kelembagaan. Kepemimpinan yang efektif dan strategis terbukti berdampak signifikan terhadap peningkatan kinerja pendidik, peningkatan mutu pembelajaran, serta penguatan identitas dan integritas kelembagaan madrasah secara menyeluruh dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic Education Management learning in shaping the managerial competencies of students in the Islamic Education Management study program, covering planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling functions. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects were 25 fifth-semester students who had completed core courses in Islamic Education Management. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with students and lecturers, and documentation of learning devices. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, with source and method triangulation used to ensure data validity. The findings revealed three main points. First, the current design of Islamic Education Management learning is dominated by interactive lectures (30%), case discussions (30%), and field project assignments (40%). Second, the most effective methods for developing students' managerial competencies were project-based learning and real-case studies from Islamic educational institutions. Third, the main obstacles included limited access to field simulations, a lack of lecturers with practitioner backgrounds in management, and the still-normative integration of Islamic values into each management function. This study offers a new perspective on the necessity of reconstructing Islamic Education Management learning from a theoretical approach toward a contextual-collaborative one, emphasizing the development of managerial competencies grounded in Islamic ethics.
