Abstract

Pelaksanaan PkM dalam bentuk pelatihan GeoGebra bagi guru Matematika di SMA Negeri 2 Waingapu bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan aplikasi GeoGebra. PkM ini menggunakan metode observasi, ceramah, demonstrasi, serta diskusi. Kegiatan PkM ini memiliki hasil berupa pelaksanaan pelatihan bagi para guru serta implementasi materi pelatihan.Adapun hasil dari pelatihan ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan aplikasi GeoGebra. Selain itu, berdasarkan hasil monitoring diperoleh informasi bahwa hasil pelatihan ini telah diimplementasikan dalam proses pembelajaran Matematika di kelas.

Abstract

Kegiatan PkM berupa sosialisasi penggunaan alat peraga bagi guru serta siswa SMA/MA di Kabupaten Sumba Timur bertujuan untuk mendemonstrasikan penggunaan alat peraga, serta meningkat pemahaman guru maupun siswa terkait penggunaan alat peraga. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh siswa dan guru yang berasal dari 14 sekolah di Kabupaten Sumba Timur. Pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM ini menggunakan beberapa metode yakni: ceramah terkait alat peraga, demonstrasi cara menggunakan alat peraga, dan diskusi terkait pemaparan materi alat peraga. Hasil dari kegiatan PkM ini adalah alat-alat peraga dapat didemonstrasikan dengan baik, dan peserta kegiatan memahami penggunaan alat peraga yang terlihat dari partisipasi peserta dalam menggunakan alat peraga dengan benar.

Abstract

Penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan aljabar menjadi salah satu tuntutan kurikulum Indonesia sejak beberapa dekade belakangan. Siswa pada tingkat sekolah menengah pertama maupun sekolah menengah atas diharapkan sudah mampu menguasai bahkan lancar menggunakan konsep aljabar. Sebagai pendidik, kita harus mengetahui kemampuan berpikir aljabar siswa. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir aljabar siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah berbasis kearifan lokal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang dilakukan pada siswa usia 12-17 tahun di Kecamatan Kambera, Kabupaten Sumba Timur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) komponen berpikir aljabar yang sering digunakan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah adalah kemampuan pemecahan masalah, kemampuan representasi matematis, dan kemampuan penalaran kuantitatif dan (2) level berpikir aljabar siswa adalah level 2. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terlihat bahwa meskipun ketiga jenis komponen berpikir aljabar digunakan dalam menyelesaikan masalah, ternyata level berpikir aljabar siswa masih rendah.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Kristen Payeti dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita pada materi PLSV yang ditinjau dari gaya belajar auditorial dan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor internal yang mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu angket, tes, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, dari 30 siswa yang diteliti, 7 orang siswa memiliki gaya belajar visual, 14 siswa memiliki gaya belajar auditorial, dan kinestetik 9 siswa. Dari hasil tes, siswa gaya belajar auditorial temasuk pada kategori rendah dengan nilai rata-rata 28,88. Faktor-faktor internal yang mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kritis meliputi, minat belajar, ketelitian, kemandirian belajar siswa, dan penguasaan materi.

Abstract

This study has several objectives, obtaining a description of the characteristics of student errors, as well as factors that cause students of class VIII of State Junior High School to make mistakes in the settlement of relationships and functions. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. Class VIII students with a total of 27 people are the research subject. The technique in determining the research subjects is the purposive sampling technique. Data collection with written test techniques, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Validity of data with triangulation of techniques and sources. The results of this study showed that students made 5 types of mistakes made by students on the settlement of relationships and fungi, namely mis-understanding of the concept of 19 students, errors in the use of data of 14 students, errors in interpreting the language of 18 students, technical errors of 26 students, and errors in the conclusion of 21 students. The factors that cause students to make mistakes in solving relationships and functions come from internal and external factors.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media products in the form of an android application called Geometry Learning to help students understand the concept of three dimensions. This research is included in the Research and Development (R&D) type using the ADDIE research development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The development of this research is based on several assessments of the developed Android-based learning media. The assessment results given by material experts have an average percentage of 87% (very feasible), and the assessment given by media experts has an average percentage of 91% (very feasible). In addition, the students were also assessed with an average percentage of 96.6% (very decent), and the average percentage of the teacher's assessment was 81% (very decent). Thus, the application of learning media in the form of an android application is feasible to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

Until now, Indonesia is still in the category of worrying literacy, which is caused by the low interest in reading among Indonesian people. This is supported by a survey conducted by PISA, where Indonesia's ranking is ranked 64 out of 65 countries. In addition, a survey conducted by UNESCO also supports that the reading interest of Indonesian people is at 0.001, which means that out of 1,000 Indonesian people, only one person has a high interest in reading. This indicator should be a concern and even a warming for the Government, because it is a setback for the country in terms of human resources, especially for students. The method used in this activity is training, where students are trained to read, understand math and science problems that are contextual to life, and try to solve the problems. In addition, students are given motivation to continue to use the library as a fun place to read. Based on the results of data collection through questionnaires and interviews, we found that this activity had a positive influence on students' literacy understanding, especially among Payeti Christian High School students. The expected positive impact of this training is that it can increase students' motivation to read, especially students' understanding in understanding contextual mathematics and science problems so that it can improve students' conceptual understanding abilities well.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh model Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan numerasi dan self-confidence pada domain data dan ketidakpastian. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ekperimen semu dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini melibatkan 2 kelas yaitu kelas VIII A dan VIII D yang masing-masing berjumlah 28 siswa dan menggunakan desain nonequivalent control grup design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes tertulis untuk mengetahui kemampuan numerasi yang terdiri dari 2 soal uraian dan angket untuk self-confidence yang terdiri dari 44 pernyataan. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, kemampuan numerasi siswa pada kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan sebesar 58% dan kelas kontrol mengalami peningkatan sebesar 33%. Self-confidence siswa pada kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan sebesar 7% dan kelas kontrol mengalami peningkatan sebesar 2%. Selain itu, hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh H0 ditolak atau dapat dikatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan numerasi dan self-confidence pada domain data dan ketidakpastian. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari penggunaan model Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan numerasi dan self-confidence pada domain data dan ketidakpastian di SMP Negeri 1 Waingapu.

Abstract

To investigate students' mathematical comprehension abilities, a research was conducted in the form of a written test on 25 class VIII students at one of the Public Middle Schools in East Sumba Regency. These findings are supported by interviews and questionnaires. The ability to understand mathematics is the ability of students to interpret a concept and plan steps to solve the problems encountered. The results of the study using the Astuti indicator in the SPLDV material show that in the indicators: 1) being able to restate concepts, students get a score of 100 in the high category; (2) being able to classify objects based on whether or not the requirements that form the concept are met, students get a score of 100 in the high category; (3) being able to associate various mathematical concepts, students get a score of 58 in the moderate category; and (4) being able to apply concepts in various forms of mathematical representation, students get a score of 8 in the low category. In general, the ability to understand mathematics in solving SPLDV word problems is in the medium category, that is, not all students fulfill the third and fourth indicators.
