Abstract

Model pembelajaran hybrid atau hybrid learning model hadir sebagai pilihan model pembelajaran disaat peralihan antara offline (tatap muka) dan online (dalam jaringan) muncul. Model ini diharapkan dapat menjawab solusi bagi kampus yang akan melaksanakan perkuliahan secara offline maupun online dalam waktu bersamaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan perkuliahan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran hybrid pada mahasiswa Unkriswina Sumba. Selain itu, melalui penelitian ini juga, diharapkan dapat ditemukan faktor eksternal dan faktor internal baik yang mendukung dan menghambat keberlangsungan model pembelajaran hybrid di dalam kelas saat perkuliahan berlangsung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, dimana nanti peneliti peroleh data dari hasil wawancara dan dokumentasi di lapangan kemudian peneliti deskripsikan dengan detail. Metode ini dipilih karena dapat dengan jelas menjelaskan faktor pendukung dan penghambat dari pelaksanakan model hybrid di kelas, sehingga menurut peneliti sangat cocok bila disandingkan antara metode dan model yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Dalam penelitian kali ini peneliti mencoba membuat tahapan penelitian yaitu tahap pertama tahap perencanaan, tahap kedua tahap implementasi, tahap ketiga tahap penilaian. Tahapan-tahapan ini, membantu peneliti dalam melihat proses implementasi penggunaan pembelajaran hybrid selama perkulihan berlangsung di kampus Unkriswina Sumba.

Abstract

Implementing the Flip Builder training at SMA Matawai La Pau aims to introduce technological innovation to teachers to enhance the quality of education. This activity involves preparing training materials, distribution of invitations, and venue preparation. Throughout the training, teachers are guided to understand and apply the steps of using Flip Builder, including creating flip book products. The participants' enthusiasm is evident from their dedication during the product creation simulation and active engagement in the question-and-answer and discussion sessions. The training results indicate that teachers can overcome technical challenges effectively and are motivated to continue innovating in their teaching practices. The product creation simulation using Flip Builder provides practical insights, and teachers appear confident in utilizing the application to create engaging learning materials. Evaluation and feedback from participants serve as a foundation for improving the quality of future training sessions. As a follow-up, continuous support is essential, whether through mentoring sessions or monitoring the use of Flip Builder. Collaboration among teachers should be enhanced through forums or regular meetings. The development of additional materials and advanced training can further support teachers in maximizing the potential of Flip Builder. Overall, this training represents a positive step in promoting technology-based education at SMA Matawai La Pau.

Abstract

Kaliuda Village is one of the coastal villages in East Sumba Regency, which is the largest producer of Kappaphycus alvarezii seaweed in the region. However, the coastal community’s knowledge regarding the diversification of seaweed into various food products remains limited. This is evident in the case of dried seaweed, which is primarily intended for industrial use, and rejected seaweed that companies do not utilize or process. The aim is to conduct training and mentoring activities to enhance community knowledge about utilizing seaweed as a food source through diversification. Additionally, the community will gain an understanding of business strategies related to processed seaweed products. The community engagement activities employ the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach, involving education, mentoring, and training. Education sessions cover seaweed diversification and business development. Furthermore, the process includes mentoring and training in making seaweed sticks from Kappaphycus alvarezii. A total of 34 coastal community members participated in these activities. The engagement began with presentations on the potential development of Kappaphycus alvarezii, marketing strategies for processed seaweed products (including market opportunities and competitors), pivot strategies, and the use of e-commerce digitalization. In addition to the presentations, the coastal community received training and guidance on seaweed stick production. The training covered raw material preparation, dough-making, molding, frying, and packaging. The high level of community participation significantly supported the success of this engagement. During the activities, the PKM team engaged in discussions to identify challenges and alternative solutions. The partners’ response to the presentation of educational materials, mentoring, and training falls within the satisfied to very satisfied category. The recommended suggestion is that the seaweed processed product diversification group should receive support from the village government.

Abstract

Tingkat kemampuan literasi sains yang rendah menjadi tantangan besar dalam sistem pendidikan nasional, termasuk di SMP Negeri 1 Umalulu. Hal ini terjadi karena metode pengajaran IPA masih tergantung pada ceramah dan kurang didukung oleh media pembelajaran yang inovatif, sehingga siswa hanya menghafal materi tanpa memahami maknanya secara mendalam. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa melalui pengembangan alat peraga IPA yang lebih menarik dan efektif. Cara melaksanakan kegiatan ini melalui beberapa tahap yang terorganisir, yaitu observasi dan wawancara, perencanaan, persiapan alat peraga, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi di kelas VIII. Alat peraga yang dikembangkan mencakup model struktur sel hewan dan tumbuhan, sistem peredaran darah, serta poster tentang sistem pencernaan dan pernapasan manusia. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa alat peraga inovatif ini mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam belajar. Dari hasil evaluasi melalui tanya jawab dan refleksi, siswa mampu menjelaskan konsep-konsep ilmiah yang rumit, seperti cara kerja sistem peredaran darah dan perbedaan antar organel sel, dengan menggunakan bahasa yang mereka pahami. Kesimpulannya, pengembangan alat peraga IPA yang interaktif sangat efektif dalam membantu siswa memahami materi yang abstrak, meningkatkan pemahaman yang mendalam, serta memperkuat dasar literasi sains mereka. Inovasi ini menjadi solusi yang strategis untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPA di SMP Negeri 1 Umalulu.

Abstract

This study has several objectives, obtaining a description of the characteristics of student errors, as well as factors that cause students of class VIII of State Junior High School to make mistakes in the settlement of relationships and functions. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. Class VIII students with a total of 27 people are the research subject. The technique in determining the research subjects is the purposive sampling technique. Data collection with written test techniques, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Validity of data with triangulation of techniques and sources. The results of this study showed that students made 5 types of mistakes made by students on the settlement of relationships and fungi, namely mis-understanding of the concept of 19 students, errors in the use of data of 14 students, errors in interpreting the language of 18 students, technical errors of 26 students, and errors in the conclusion of 21 students. The factors that cause students to make mistakes in solving relationships and functions come from internal and external factors.
