Abstract

The rapid growth of the palm oil industry in North Sumatra encourages companies to increase their competitiveness, one of which is through achieving customer satisfaction. This study aims to determine the effect of company reputation, customer trust, and distribution channels on customer satisfaction at PT Inti Palm Sumatra, both partially and simultaneously. The study was conducted quantitatively using a survey method through a questionnaire distributed to 46 customers of PT Inti Palm Sumatra in 2024, which were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out through validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression, and t-tests and F-tests. The results of the study showed that partially, company reputation, customer trust, and distribution channels each had a significant effect on customer satisfaction. Simultaneously, the three variables were also proven to have a significant effect on customer satisfaction. Thus, all hypotheses in this study are accepted. These findings emphasize the importance of improving the company's image, building trust, and effective distribution arrangements as strategies to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty amidst increasingly fierce business competition.

Abstract

Samosir Island is one of the leading tourist destinations in the Toba Caldera Geopark area. So many factors are related to the intention of tourists revisiting Samosir Island. So the research aims to prove: 1) the influence of tourist attraction and service quality on interest in reintention visiting Samosir Island; and 2) its influence through visitor satisfaction as an intervening. A total of 274 local tourists responded to a questionnaire distributed directly with the support of the Tourism Office of Samosir Regency and students. Collected data using a questionnaire that has been valid and reliable. The research team periodically collects information from tourists visiting Samosir Island, which takes about two months. The data analysis technique uses path analysis with the SPSS application. Research findings reveal that tourist attraction, service quality, and visitor satisfaction affect the reintention of tourists to Samosir Island. Service quality is the dominant predictor in the regression model. However, visitor satisfaction is not effective as an intervention that strengthens the intention of tourists to visit again. The implication of this paper is that visitor satisfaction needs to be improved by providing various facilities and infrastructure that support the optimization of service quality on Samosir Island. Thus providing a domino effect on increasing tourist visits to Samosir Island. Keywords: reintention,  tourist attraction, service quality, visitor satisfaction.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of financial technology (fintech) and consumer behavior on consumer purchase preferences in Medan City in the digital era. The method used is a quantitative approach with a survey of 100 respondents in Medan who routinely use digital wallet applications, as well as data analysis using Partial Least Squares (PLS) through SmartPLS software. The results showed that fintech had a positive and significant effect on purchase preferences with a path coefficient of 0.374 (p = 0.003, f² = 0.181), while consumer behavior had a stronger impact with a coefficient of 0.455 (p = 0.000, f² = 0.268). The two variables together explain the 57.4 % variability of purchasing decision preferences (R² = 0.574), with strong predictive relevance (Q² = 0.510).
