Abstract

Ecoenzymes are fermented products of organic waste such as fruit and green vegetables, which are rich in nutrients so they have great potential as organic fertilizer. Making ecoenzymes can reduce waste discharge into the environment, thereby reducing pollution, thus supporting environmentally friendly sustainable agricultural practices. This research aims to produce and characterize the macro nutrient content of Nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), Potassium (K) and organic C from ecoenzymes produced from pineapple and green vegetable waste. Organic waste from pineapple skins and green vegetables is fermented with palm sugar and water in a ratio of 3: 1: 10 (organic material: sugar: water), in a container with a lid for 3 months. The process of observing changes in pH per week was carried out during the fermentation process. Determination of the macro nutrient content of organic N, P, K and C from ecoenzymes produced from pineapple and green vegetable waste using the atomic absorption spectrophotometry method. The research results showed that the organic N, P, K and C contents were 9.5%, 3.01%, 1.02% and 21.04%, respectively.

Abstract

Entikong is one of Indonesia's land border areas with Sarawak Malaysia, which is the gateway for economic and business activities. Despite being the front porch of a country, the fact is that the border areas of the State are very conditioned with lag. Limited access to public service resources and the inadequate community ability in processing natural resources including agriculture and plantations are the dominant factors influencing the lag of a border area. Bamboo is one of the abundant forest products in Entikong. The use of bamboo in the community is still limited to its use as building materials (scaffolding) and as a protective fence for plants in the gardens of the citizens. Bamboo Rope (Gigantochloa hasskarliana Kurz) species of bamboo found in the Entikong region, where elsewhere it generally makes it as a household handicraft material, but has not been used effectively in the entikong region. Community service activities aim to improve the skills of the Entikong community in processing bamboo plants as handicrafts of household goods of economic value so that it can be an additional source of income for the people on the border ===== Entikong adalah wilayah perbatasan darat Indonesia dengan Sarawak Malaysia, yang menjadi gerbang kegiatan ekonomi dan perniagaan. Meskipun menjadi beranda depan dari suatu negara, kenyataannya bahwa wilayah batas negara sangat sarat dengan ketertinggalan. Keterbatasan mengakses sumber-sumber pelayanan masyarakat dan kemampuan masyarakat yang tidak memadai dalam mengolah sumber daya alam termasuk pertanian dan perkebunan merupakan faktor yang dominan memengaruhi ketertinggalan sebuah wilayah perbatasan. Bambu adalah salah satu hasil hutan yang kelimpahannya besar di daerah Entikong. Pemanfaatan bambu dalam masyarakat masih terbatas pada penggunaannya sebagai bahan bangunan (perancah) dan sebagai pagar pelindung tanaman di kebun-kebun warga. Bambu tali (Gigantochloa hasskarliana Kurz.) adalah salah satu spesies bambu yang terdapat di wilayah Entikong. Di tempat lain umumnya menjadikannya sebagai bahan kerajinan rumah tangga, tetapi belum dimanfaatkan secara efektif di wilayah Entikong. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan warga masyarakat Entikong dalam mengolah tanaman bambu sebagai kerajinan alat-alat rumah tangga yang bernilai ekonomis sehingga dapat menjadi sumber penghasilan tambahan masyarakat di perbatasan tersebut.

Abstract

Protein is one of the important macronutrients that is needed by the body in the formation of new biomolecules, reproductive activities, transportation in the body. Protein can be obtained from animals and plants, and adequate protein intake in the body is a measure of achieving nutritional status or health indicators for both individuals and society. The aim of this community service activity (PKM) is to socialize various sources of protein that exist in the environment and can be found every day. The partners for this activity are 4th grade students of SDN No. 11 Trans Sebakul, Ledo District, Bengkayang Regency. The activity was carried out using the lecture method, followed by watching a video together regarding the importance of protein in children's growth and development. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in the knowledge of grade 4 students regarding protein sources that are often found in daily life and how important it is to consume enough protein as needed by the body.

Abstract

Desa Kelakar, yang terletak di Kecamatan Hulu Gurung, Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu, sangat memperhatikan penggunaan pupuk kimia yang berlebihan. Petani harus menanggung biaya produksi tambahan dan tanah tidak sehat dalam jangka panjang jika mereka mengandalkan pupuk kimia. Akibatnya, pelatihan pembuatan pupuk organik padat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan sumber daya lokal untuk membuat pupuk organik yang ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan. Petani dan masyarakat setempat mengikuti pelatihan ini yang berfokus pada meningkatkan pemahaman petani tentang manfaat pupuk organik dan bagaimana membuatnya secara praktis. Metode pelatihan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini yaitu sosialisasi dan edukasi, dengan beberapa tahapan yaitu, persiapan, pelaksanaan pelatihan yang terdiri dari: penyampaian materi, demonstrasi pembuatan pupuk organik padat (kompos), praktik mandiri dan tanya jawab, tahapan selanjutnya yaitu monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa peserta lebih memahami tentang pupuk organik, lebih mampu membuat pupuk secara mandiri, dan bagaimana menggunakannya di lahan pertanian, yang telah menunjukkan peningkatan kesuburan tanah dan produktivitas tanaman. Pelatihan ini juga menekankan pentingnya penggunaan sumber daya lokal dan pengurangan limbah organik, yang secara keseluruhan dapat membantu pertanian Desa Kelakar menjadi lebih berkelanjutan. Meskipun masih ada beberapa masalah dalam proses pembuatan dan distribusi bahan baku, pelatihan ini berhasil mendorong langkah awal menuju kemandirian dan keberlanjutan dalam praktik pertanian desa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan teknologi smart green house berbasis IoT untuk mengoptimalkan fungsi green house. Sistem ini mengontrol dan memantau suhu ruangan, kelembapan ruangan, kelembapan tanah, dan pH tanah di green house melalui smartphone. ESP32 digunakan sebagai mikrokontroler, dengan Blynk App sebagai platform IoT untuk memantau dan mengontrol lingkungan sesuai kondisi optimal bagi tanaman jahe. Penelitian menggunakan jahe merah dan putih berumur ± 3 bulan. Pengujian dilakukan pada dua kondisi: tanah tanpa tanaman dan tanah dengan tanaman jahe. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sensor dapat mengukur pH tanah, suhu, kelembapan udara, dan kelembapan tanah dengan nilai error: pH 2%, kelembapan tanah 11% (jahe merah) dan 7% (jahe putih). Error sensor suhu ruangan dan kelembapan ruangan untuk kedua jenis tanaman adalah 3% dan 5%. Rata-rata kenaikan tinggi jahe merah 3,8 cm dan jahe putih 2,4 cm dalam 2 minggu, serta peningkatan jumlah daun masing-masing 3 helai (jahe merah) dan 4 helai (jahe putih).

Abstract

One fishery commodity that has economic value in trade both nationally and internationally is seaweed. Euchema spinosum belongs to the class of red seaweed (Rhodophyceae) which has great health benefits, because it contains high alginate, carrageenan and fiber, which are very good for digestion and are widely used in the textile, cosmetics, and other industries. E. spinosum also has several very important biological activities such as antioxidants.Lemukutan Island is a group of islands in the West Kalimantan region with the main livelihood of the population is fishing and farming. E. spinosum naturally grows a lot in the waters of Lemukutan Island. The potential for seaweed development in the area is very large, because in addition to the waters being far from urban or industrial activities so that a well-conditioned aquatic environment is very suitable as a seaweed cultivation center, this area is also shaded and protected so that it is not so affected by high waves from high seas.This activity aims to improve fishermen's skills while increasing productivity so that it can have an effect on improving the welfare of the farmers. The training was attended by 30 participants who are fish fishermen and seaweed farmers. The cultivation method applied in community service activities at this time is the floating netting method, using bamboo and a net at the bottom of the kerambah so that it protects the seaweed from predators such as fish and turtles. E. spinosum which is cultivated by the community in various ways, such as long line, off-bottom cages, is very risky to the threat of predators and being dragged by currents so that it has the potential to reduce the productivity of seaweed
