Abstract

Keberadaan lembaga pendidikan menjadi hal yang tak terpisahkan dari proses pendidikan, yaitu sebagai tempat atau sarana dalam menumbuh kembangkan dan meningkatkan sumber daya manusia. Pada realitanya, masih ditemui fenomena-fenomena krisis moral yang terjadi pada masyarakat. Pendidikan Islam hadir disertai fungsi-fungsinya yang utama menjadikan peserta didik memiliki kepribadian yang utuh dan mampu mengembangkan potensi dirinya dan menghargai aspek-aspek yang ada pada lingkungan kehidupannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fungsi-fungsi pendidikan dalam mewujudkan hayatan thayyibah pada peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan penelitian pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian literatur atau library research. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik dokumen, yaitu peneliti mengumpulkan data-data bersumber dari dokumen. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis data deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan bahwa fungsi-fungsi pendidikan Islam dalam meningkatkan kehidupan yang baik atau hayatan thayyibah  yaitu; fungsi memperkenalkan wawasan dan pengetahuan tentang jati diri manusia dengan fitrahnya, fungsi pengenalan hakikat alam semesta, fungsi pemahaman kekuasaan Tuhan, fungsi pengetahuan hal-hal yang merendahkan fitrah manusia, dan fungsi pemberdayaan ilmu pengetahuan dalam memajukan kehidupan individu dan masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of scaffolding learning strategies in Fiqh material for Class 3F at the Modern Islamic Boarding School Darussalam Gontor for Girls Campus 2 which is expected to improve Student Activity and Learning Outcomes. This study is a classroom action research. Data collection instruments use interview sheets, observation sheets, field notations, and exam questions. The analysis adopts the Kemmis & Mc Taggart model, with two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation and reflection, which are carried out in two cycles to determine student activity and learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that in cycle I student activity reached 53% and in cycle II student learning activity reached 94%. The application of scaffolding learning strategies can improve female students' learning outcomes in Fiqh subjects in cycle I with learning achievements of 53%, in cycle II reaching a learning outcome percentage of 100%. Scaffolding strategies can improve students' learning activity. It can be seen from the following Activity indicators such as involvement in problem-solving, resilience in joint discussions, courage in expressing opinions, and increased use of strategies in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of the Al-Qur'an reading and writing program at Pondok Modern Al-Barokah Ngepung Patianrowo, focusing on enhancing the literacy skills of its students. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with the second grade of KMI as the sample group. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The study found that the students' pronunciation of Arabic letters is emphasized, particularly through the application of tajweed rules, direct reading practice in front of teachers, and the use of methods such as lectures, drills, assignments, and the traditional sorogan approach. The implementation of the program takes approximately six months, allowing for individual assessment of students' fluency in reading the Qur'an. This timeframe is necessary to ensure the students' proficiency in Qur'anic literacy.

Abstract

Abstract. The natural resources owned by rural communities are the potency that need to be developed in order to increase the economy. The freshwater fish farming group in the Tanjung Bidara Unit, Kampong Gajah, Malaysia, is the regional economy activator. The potential for developing freshwater fish is quite extensive, by taking advantage of river flows. The aim of this community service activity was to improve the economy of the Gajah village area through empowering fish farming groups. The methods that have been implemented are freshwater fish cultivation and marketing education. As the results, the education given increase in fish farmers' knowledge by 75%, including the knowledge of cultivating good freshwater fish and marketing of the products. The conclusion from this activity was that the community's economy can be improved through empowering freshwater fish farmers.   Abstrak. Sumber Daya alam yang dimiliki masyarakat pedesaan merupakan potensi yang ada untuk dikembangkan guna meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat desa Kelompok tani ikan air tawar di Unit Tanjung Bidara Kampong Gajah Malaysia merupakan penggerak perekonomian daerah tersebut. Potensi pengembangan ikan air tawar cukup luas, dengan memanfatakan aliran sungai. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan perekonomian daerah kampong Gajah melaui pemberdayaan kelompok tani ikan. Metode yang telah dilaksanakan adalah penyuluhan budidaya ikan air tawar dan pemasaran.  Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa peningkatan pengetahuan petani ikan sebesar 75% mengenai budidaya ikan tawar yang baik dan pemasaran hasil ikan. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah perekonomian masyarakat dapat ditingkatkan melalui pemberdayaan petani ikan air tawar.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the curriculum and develop learning methods at the Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPA) Ar-Raudhah, Beton Village, Siman District, Ponorogo Regency. TPA plays an important role in providing Islamic religious education to early childhood, but challenges in terms of implementing the curriculum and learning methods are still obstacles. Some of the problems faced include the lack of innovation in teaching methods, limited materials that are tailored to children's needs, and lack of learning motivation among students. For this reason, this study focuses on improving the existing curriculum and implementing more creative and interactive learning methods. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and literature studies. This study also involves the participation of TPA teachers and students to obtain a comprehensive picture of the ongoing learning process. The results of the study indicate that optimizing the curriculum that is tailored to the age and needs of children, as well as the use of more interactive learning methods such as play methods, audio-visual, and project-based learning, can increase motivation and effectiveness of learning at TPA Ar-Raudhah. The development of varied methods also helps improve children's understanding of the Qur'an and Islamic teachings. This study concludes that curriculum optimization and the development of more innovative learning methods are very important in improving the quality of education in TPA. The implementation of the results of this study is expected to be an effective teaching model for other TPAs, especially in facing the challenges of religious education for the younger generation in the modern era.

Abstract

The lack of understanding of Arabic among non-Arabic students at the Faculty of Divinity at Karabuk University is one of the factors that hinder them from understanding lessons, especially in courses such as qira'ah, tafsir, hadith, and others. This lack of language mastery causes difficulties in comprehending materials that requires a deep understanding of Arabic texts. Thus, this project aims to conducting several activities to improve and broaden the knowledge of students at Karabuk university. The subjects of this activity were 40 students from Karabuk University. The methods used implemented were direct methods and question and answer methods, through several stages of implementation, namely preparation, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation.  The results of the implementation of this activity show that the students managed to gain a deeper understanding of the Arabic language learning methods applied in Gontor. This insight is not only limited to theory, but also involves direct practice as shown through the active interaction between Santri and Turkish presenters during the teaching process. This interaction is an important element, as it allows santri to experience teaching approaches from different perspectives and interact with international teachers, which enriches their learning experience. Thus, this activity not only increases the santri’s knowledge of teaching methods, but also builds cross-cultural communication abilities and strengthens their Arabic language skills through hands-on practice and guidance from experienced presenters.

Abstract

This community service activity focuses on assisting Quran Education Center (TPA) teachers in Siman District, Ponorogo Regency, with an emphasis on increasing students' interest in reading the Quran according to the discipline of tajweed. The objective of this community service is to address the challenges faced in Quran learning in the area, including the need for curriculum adjustments and suitable teaching methods. The assistance was carried out by five educators from Darussalam Gontor University over a specific period and involved 16 TPAs around the campus. The implementation methods included training in Reading, Storytelling, and Singing (BCM), Tahsin Qiro'ah training, inter-TPA competitions, art performances, and TPA graduation ceremonies (Quran khataman). The results showed an increase in students' interest, talent identification, talent development monitoring, as well as academic achievements such as Quran memorization and tajweed knowledge. Another significant outcome of this community service is providing a comprehensive overview of efforts to improve the quality of Quranic education in TPAs, emphasizing the importance of combining engaging learning approaches with the application of tajweed knowledge. Activities such as inter-TPA competitions and art performances were integrated to stimulate learning enthusiasm and foster Islamic character among the younger generation.ABSTRAKKegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa kegiatan pendampingan pengajar Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran (TPA) di Kecamatan Siman, Kabupaten Ponorogo, dengan fokus pada peningkatan minat santri dalam membaca Al-Quran sesuai dengan disiplin ilmu tajwid. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah tantangan yang dihadapi dalam pembelajaran Al-Quran di daerah tersebut, termasuk kurikulum dan metode pembelajaran yang perlu disesuaikan. Pendampingan dilakukan oleh lima tenaga pendidik Universitas Darussalam Gontor selama periode tertentu dan melibatkan 16 TPA di sekitar kampus. Metode pelaksanaan pendampingan mencakup pelatihan Baca, Cerita, dan Menyanyi (BCM), pelatihan Tahsin Qiro'ah, perlombaan antar TPA, pentas seni, dan wisuda TPA (khataman Al-Quran). Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan minat santri, identifikasi bakat, pemantauan perkembangan bakat, serta pencapaian akademis seperti hafalan Al-Quran dan pengetahuan tajwid. Hasil penting lainnya dari kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu memberikan gambaran komprehensif tentang upaya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan Al-Quran di TPA, menekankan pentingnya memadukan pendekatan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dengan penerapan ilmu tajwid. Kegiatan seperti perlombaan antar TPA dan pentas seni diintegrasikan untuk merangsang semangat belajar dan membangun karakter islami pada generasi muda.

Abstract

Pendidikan Al-Qur’an di Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur'an (TPA) memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk generasi muda yang memiliki pemahaman agama yang baik. Namun, di Kecamatan Siman, Ponorogo, masih ditemukan banyak TPA yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran tradisional, sehingga kurang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengaji anak-anak. Kurangnya standar kurikulum yang konsisten menjadi salah satu faktor utama dalam permasalahan ini. Oleh karena itu, tim Pengabdian Masyarakat Universitas Darussalam Gontor melakukan pendampingan implementasi kurikulum TPA sebagai upaya peningkatan kualitas pendidikan Al-Qur’an.Metode yang digunakan dalam program pendampingan ini meliputi observasi, wawancara, penyusunan, pemutakhiran, sosialisasi, monitoring, dan evaluasi kurikulum. Tim melakukan observasi langsung terhadap proses pembelajaran di TPA dan wawancara dengan para pengajar untuk mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi. Selanjutnya, tim bekerja sama dengan kepala Pesantren Anak Sholeh Baitul Qur’an (PAS-BQ) untuk menyusun kurikulum yang lebih terstruktur dan sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman. Kurikulum yang telah disusun kemudian disosialisasikan kepada para pengajar TPA guna memastikan penerapannya secara efektif. Monitoring dilakukan untuk menilai implementasi kurikulum, sementara evaluasi dilaksanakan melalui ujian akhir, wisuda, dan pentas seni santri.Hasil dari pendampingan ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam proses pembelajaran di TPA. Sebanyak 85% pengajar merasa terbantu dengan kurikulum baru dalam menyusun materi ajar secara lebih sistematis. Selain itu, 78% pengajar melaporkan adanya peningkatan keterlibatan santri dalam proses belajar, yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya kehadiran dan partisipasi aktif mereka. Evaluasi juga menunjukkan bahwa 90% santri mengalami peningkatan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an dengan tajwid yang lebih baik. Dengan adanya pendampingan ini, diharapkan implementasi kurikulum yang lebih terstruktur dapat terus berlanjut dan menjadi model bagi TPA lainnya dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan Al-Qur'an.

Abstract

This study analyzes various leadership styles' impact on educational management at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor. The research aims to explore how transformational and transactional leadership styles influence educational outcomes in this unique Islamic boarding school setting. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews and observations of school leaders, teachers, and students. Findings indicate that transformational leadership fosters a supportive and innovative learning environment, enhancing motivation and academic performance. In contrast, transactional leadership focuses on maintaining discipline and achieving short-term goals. The study highlights the critical role of adaptive leadership in managing educational processes effectively. Overall, effective leadership styles significantly shape educational management practices and contribute to achieving institutional goals in educational settings like Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor.

Abstract

Pendampingan marching band dalam Gontor Marching Band Competition (GMBC) 100 tahun Gontor bertujuan memperkuat keterampilan musik, karakter, dan kepemimpinan peserta. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan untuk memberikan kesempatan bagi siswa untuk mengembangkan potensi mereka dalam bidang musik dan kepemimpinan, yang sejalan dengan visi pendidikan Pondok Modern Gontor yang holistik. Dalam dunia yang semakin kompetitif, penting bagi generasi muda untuk memiliki keterampilan teknis yang mumpuni, terutama dalam bidang seni dan budaya. Selain itu, dengan semakin berkembangnya kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di berbagai tingkat pendidikan, kompetisi seperti GMBC menjadi platform yang dapat memotivasi dan menginspirasi siswa untuk meningkatkan kualitas diri mereka. Melalui pendekatan terencana, pendampingan ini meningkatkan kemampuan teknis bermain alat musik marching band serta koordinasi gerakan dan formasi. Evaluasi berkala selama latihan membantu mengidentifikasi dan memperbaiki area yang perlu ditingkatkan, sehingga peserta dapat tampil percaya diri dan kompeten dalam lomba pada 19 - 21 Juni 2024. Selain keterampilan musik, pendampingan ini juga berdampak positif pada pengembangan karakter, seperti disiplin, kerja sama tim, dan rasa percaya diri. Keberhasilan tim marching band mencerminkan dedikasi latihan dan komitmen Pondok Modern Gontor dalam menyediakan pendidikan holistik yang membentuk individu berbakat dan berkualitas. Pengalaman ini tidak hanya menghasilkan pencapaian prestisius, tetapi juga memperkuat komunitas dan mendukung visi pendidikan komprehensif di Pondok Modern Gontor.
