Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the influence of heatmap correlation-based feature selection on predictive modeling of low alloy steel mechanical properties using an artificial neural network (ANN) algorithm. Heatmap correlation was used to determine the chemical elements most correlated to the low alloy steel mechanical properties, such as Yield strength (YS) and Tensile strength (TS). There were 15 input variables of chemical elements in this study, and after feature selection, 11 input variables were obtained for YS, and 13 input variables were obtained for TS. The ANN model was validated using K-fold 10 cross-validation and evaluated using loss metric, Mean Absolute Error (MAE), and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). The results showed that modeling with feature selection was able to improve the YS prediction, with a decrease in value of 6.83% in MAE and 4.97% in RMSE, while the TS prediction decreased by 16.46% in MAE and 18.34% in RMSE after feature selection. These results indicate that the use of feature selection provides better performance compared to the model without feature selection, and heatmap correlation can be used as an alternative to improve model performance in predictive modeling of low alloy steel mechanical properties using the ANN algorithm.

Abstract

Peningkatan ilmu pengetahuan bagi masyarakat desa tentu perlu pembinaan dalam mengelola limbah menjadi bahan yang bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan taraf hidup dan pengetahuan masyarakat. Pentingnya dukungan dari semua pihak menjadi kunci kesejahteraan masyarakat desa dalam membagikan ilmu pengetahuan yang bermanfaat. Terkhusus dalam naskah ini, kami menghadirkan cara-cara pembuatan briket berbahan dasar dari limbah padat kopra dan pengujian ilmiahnya bagi masyarakat Desa Mawa, Kecamatan Wawonii Utara, Kabupaten Konawe Kepulauan. Metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan kemasyarakatan ini yaitu sosialisasi cara-cara pembuatan briket dari pencampuran sabut dan tempurung kelapa sebagai bahan baku, karbonasi, penghalusan. Kemudian hasil karbonasi dicampurkan dengan tepung tapioka, pencetakan, pengeringan, dan uji coba hasil briket yang dibuat dalam skala laboratorium. Hasil uji laboratorium dari karakteristik fisik menunjukkan nilai kalor briket yang telah dibuat dapat mencapai 5551,90 Kal/g, kadar air 6,06527%, kadar abu 5,1929% dan kadar zat mudah menguap14,7065%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa briket yang dihasilkan sangat baik dan sudah memenuhi sesuai dengan Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI No.01-6235-2000) sehingga produk ini dapat dikomersilkan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan dan pemanfaatan bagi Desa Mawa.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a quail egg incubator utilizing an Arduino Uno microcontroller to regulate temperature and control the egg-turning motor. The incubation process requires precise environmental conditions, particularly consistent temperature and egg rotation, to ensure optimal hatching success. The Arduino Uno system is integrated with temperature sensors and a motor driver to automate these essential functions. The developed incubator was tested to monitor the system's stability and its ability to maintain the required incubation parameters. The results indicate that the automated control system effectively maintains the optimal temperature and performs egg rotation, contributing to improved hatchability rates. This research provides a cost-effective and accessible solution for small-scale quail egg incubation

Abstract

This study aims to analyze 1) determine the marketing channels of melons found in Enha Lima Farm, 2) determine the amount of margin of each institution and the total of the entire marketing of melons in Enha Lima Farm. Forms of kirani melon marketing channels in Enha Lima Garden are direct channel marketing and indirect marketing. From these forms of marketing, the amount of margin obtained by channel I (indirect marketing) is Rp.10,000 consisting of a margin for collecting traders of Rp.5,000/Kg, and for retail traders of Rp. 5,000/Kg. Meanwhile, channel II (direct marketing) has no margin because it does not go through marketing institutions or intermediaries where farmers sell melons directly to end consumers. So that channel II (direct marketing) can be said to be profitable for Enha Lima garden farmers. The high value of the margin is influenced by the low value of marketing costs incurred. So that the channel is most profitable for producers or at the farm level. While the Farmer's share value of all channels is said to be efficient, the percentage of marketing channel level I is 66.66%, marketing channel II is 100%.

Abstract

Agroindustry is the process of converting primary production raw materials into secondary, raw materials into food that is ready for consumption. The cassava lanting agro-industry was carried out in Kembang Harum Village, Pasir Penyu District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, This research uses the Survey method, the analysis method is carried out descriptively qualitative and quantitative. The research objective was to analyze the lanting production process and the added value of cassava lanting products. The results showed that the production process used several stages including: procurement of raw materials, peeling, cutting, boiling, smoothing, lanting molding, drying, frying, draining oil and packaging. In addition, the value-added analysis shows that the average amount of added value for lanting cassava received by entrepreneurs is Rp. 25,000/kg of raw material or the ratio of added value to the average output value of 33.33% per production process period. This value-added ratio is included in the medium added value because it is between 15-40%.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI) membuka peluang signifikan dalam transformasi layanan perpustakaan modern. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas pemanfaatan teknologi AI dalam otomasi dan personalisasi layanan perpustakaan melalui kajian pustaka sistematis. Dengan kriteria inklusi literatur terpublikasi tahun 2021-2025 dan fokus pada implementasi AI di perpustakaan, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi lima kategori utama teknologi AI yang diterapkan: Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, dan Large Language Models. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi AI meningkatkan efisiensi dalam analisis perilaku pengguna, otomasi proses teknis, dan personalisasi layanan perpustakaan. Chatbot referensi dan sistem rekomendasi berbasis AI terbukti memperkaya pengalaman pengguna dan meningkatkan pemanfaatan koleksi perpustakaan. Transformasi peran pustakawan teridentifikasi dalam lima aspek kompetensi: teknis, pedagogis, manajerial, interpersonal, dan strategis. Meskipun menunjukkan potensi signifikan, implementasi AI di perpustakaan Indonesia masih menghadapi tantangan infrastruktur, sumber daya manusia, dan etika penggunaan data. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan kebijakan adaptif dan peningkatan kapasitas pustakawan dalam mengelola teknologi AI untuk mengoptimalkan layanan perpustakaan di era digital.

Abstract

Usaha mikro sering kali menghadapi kendala dalam mengelola keuangan, terutama pada pencatatan dan pengawasan kas. Melalui pengalaman langsung bersama pelaku UMKM Es Teler 88, kami menemukan bahwa pencatatan masih dilakukan secara manual dan tidak terstruktur. Hal ini menyebabkan kesulitan dalam memantau alur keuangan usaha. Dalam kegiatan ini, diberikan edukasi dan pendampingan sederhana mengenai pentingnya pencatatan kas harian, pemisahan antara keuangan pribadi dan usaha, serta pembuatan dana darurat. Dengan perubahan kecil namun konsisten, pemilik usaha mulai menyadari manfaat pencatatan dalam membantu pengambilan keputusan dan menjaga keberlanjutan usahanya. Harapannya, langkah ini bisa menjadi awal menuju pengelolaan keuangan yang lebih baik bagi pelaku usaha mikro.

Abstract

Cultivating cayenne pepper is a profitable agribusiness venture that is worth developing with good production management, pest and disease control, and efficient use of resources. The main profits come from high yields and the relatively good market value of cayenne pepper. The research location is in Kebon Enha Lima, Pelalawan Regency. The objectives of the study were to examine the technical aspects of cayenne pepper cultivation, cayenne pepper farming, and cayenne pepper marketing. The results of the study showed that the total income received by farmers from red pepper farming per planting season with an average land area of 540 m2 in the study area was Rp 22,400,000.00. The production cost of chili farming in Kebon Enha Lima, Pelalawan District, was IDR 13,247,740.00, resulting in a net income of IDR 9,152,260.00. Chili farming is quite profitable from an economic perspective. This can be seen from the R/C value of 1.69, which means that for every Rp 1.00 spent, a return or profit of 1.69 is obtained. The marketing channels for cayenne pepper at Kebon Enha Lima are direct and indirect marketing. The farmer's share value of all channels is said to be efficient, with the percentage of level I marketing channels at 50.00% and level II marketing channels at 100%.

Abstract

Kewirausahaan menjadi salah satu kunci dalam mencetak generasi muda yang mandiri dan inovatif, sekaligus solusi terhadap tingginya angka pengangguran terdidik di Indonesia. Data BPS tahun 2024 menunjukkan lebih dari satu juta lulusan perguruan tinggi belum memiliki pekerjaan, sehingga mahasiswa perlu dibekali keterampilan berwirausaha sejak dini. Salah satu permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mahasiswa adalah keterbatasan dalam mengidentifikasi serta memetakan peluang usaha secara sistematis. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan kompetensi kewirausahaan mahasiswa melalui pelatihan identifikasi dan pemetaan peluang usaha. Metode yang digunakan terdiri dari tiga tahapan, yaitu penyadaran melalui seminar interaktif, penguatan kapasitas melalui praktik penyusunan Business Model Canvas (BMC) dan analisis SWOT, serta pemberian daya melalui pendampingan penyusunan rencana bisnis sederhana. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 35 mahasiswa yang dibagi menjadi lima kelompok kecil agar pendampingan lebih intensif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman konsep kewirausahaan, keterampilan menyusun BMC, kemampuan analisis SWOT, serta motivasi mahasiswa untuk berwirausaha. Ide usaha yang dihasilkan beragam dan relevan dengan tren pasar, seperti kuliner sehat, jasa edukasi berbasis aplikasi, dan produk ramah lingkungan. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pelatihan berbasis praktik efektif dalam membekali mahasiswa untuk membaca peluang usaha dan menyusun strategi bisnis yang lebih terstruktur. Dengan demikian, pengabdian ini berkontribusi dalam menyiapkan mahasiswa menjadi wirausahawan muda yang berdaya saing serta mampu memberikan dampak positif bagi pembangunan ekonomi.

Abstract

A worldwide spread of coronavirus that started in the Chinese city of Wuhan is known to cause disease in humans. Several types Corona are known to cause respiratory tract infections in humans ranging from fever, cough and cold to more serious ones such as shortness of breath to death. Its transmission spreads so quickly throughout the world that it is called a pandemic. The addition of the number of Covid-19 cases is still happening and there are no visible signs of ending due to the implementation of health protocols that are not carried out by the community as a whole. In an effort to suppress the transmission of COVID-19 in the community, we provide education/counseling to sellers and visitors at the Medan Market Center who are vulnerable to transmission and the occurrence clusters of COVID-19, as well as providing free health protocol facility assistance in the form of masks, hand sanitizers and multivitamins. This is done to educate the public so that there is a change in lifestyle behavior in an effort to prevent the emergence of clusters. This activity was carried out by visiting visitors and traders at the Medan Market Center on September 14, 2021. Visitors and traders at the Medan Market Center began to understand the lifestyle according to health protocols and were willing to play a role in implementing joint health protocols in preventing the transmission of Covid-19.
