Abstract

South Sulawesi is one of the centers of Green Mung Beans production outside Java, with an annual production of 24,347 tons, they are able to meet their own Green Mung Beans needs. As an ingredient for making vegetables, cakes, bread, sprouts and other snacks, mung beans are one of the most sought-after agricultural products in South Sulawesi. Somba Opu Village is one of the villages located in Katangka District, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi. The area, located 30 km from Makassar city to the south, is one of the tourist areas, where there is the Balla Lompoa museum, which is the name of the Gowa kingdom. The attraction of this kingdom is so interesting that many tourists visit and at the same time visit the royal tombs in Gowa district. Community problems related to the situation described are the lack of access to education, knowledge and skills for community groups, which has an impact on the lack of creativity of the community. To overcome this problem, we intend to carry out skills training activities in processing the results of the pia cake business and its packaging. So that the marketing will be better and more developed considering that the area is one of the tourism areas in South Sulawesi. The methods used in this activity include: providing counseling, training in making durable pia cakes and good packaging, and being able to socialize the making. Abstrak Sulawesi Selatan merupakan salah satu sentra produksi Kacang Hijau di luar Jawa, dengan produksi pertahun sebesar 24.347 ton, mereka mampu memenuhi kebutuhan Kacang Hijau sendiri. Sebagai bahan pembuatan sayuran, kue, roti, kecambah serta makanan ringan lainnya Kacang Hijau adalah salah satu hasil pertanian yang sangat dicari di Sulawesi selatan. Kelurahan Somba Opu adalah salah satu kelurahan yang terletak di Kecamatan Katangka, Kabupaten Gowa, Sulawesi Selatan. Daerah yang terletak 30 km dari Kota Makassar ke arah selatan ini merupakan salah satu area wisata, di mana terdapat museum Balla Lompoa yang merupakan nama dari kerajaan Gowa. Daya tarik dari kerajaan ini sangat menarik sehingga banyak wisatawan yang berkunjung dan sekaligus mengunjungi makam-makam kerajaan yang ada di kabupaten Gowa. Permasalahan masyarakat terkait dengan situasi yang telah diuraikan adalah kurangnya akses pendidikan, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan bagi kelompok mayarakat sehingga berdampak pada minimnya kreativitas para masyarakat. Dan hal ini berdampak terhadap kurangnya peningkatan kesejahteraan hidup, khususnya dalam hal pemanfaatan peningkatan nilai jual hasil produktivitas yang dihasilkanUntuk mengatasi masalah tersebut maka kami bermaksud untuk melaksanakan kegiatan pelatihan keterampilan dalam mengolah hasil usaha kue pia beserta pengemasannya. Sehingga pemasarannya akan semakin lebih baik dan berkembang mengingat wilayah tersebut merupakan salah satu wilayah pariwisata di Sulawesi Selatan. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini yaitu meliputi: memberikan penyuluhan, pelatihan membuat kue pia yang tahan lama serta pengemasannya yang bagus, dan dapat mensosialisasikan pembuatannya.

Abstract

Community Service activities were carried out in Parepare City, Bacukiki District, South Sulawesi Province, precisely at the First High School of Negeri 3 Parepare. The objectives of this activity are to: (1) Increase teachers' knowledge in processing and analyzing research data; (2) Increase awareness and knowledge in teachers about the importance of data management in research data analysis; (3) Increase teachers' insights, abilities, and skills in utilizing data to be more informative with data analysis using excel software; and (4) Reduce the number of teachers who do data processing and analysis intuitively and manually in the computing era. The method used was counseling and teaching, discussion, and training in collaboration between the implementer and the first partner. This method was implemented for all teachers of SMP Negeri 3 Parepare, who were trained for 2 to 4 days and then gradual evaluation and monitoring were carried out periodically for 2 months. The resulting outputs are: (1) increased teacher knowledge in processing and analyzing research data; (2) increased awareness and knowledge of teachers about the importance of processing and analyzing research data; (3) increased teachers' insights, abilities, and skills in utilizing data to be more informative with proper data processing and analysis; and (4) reduced the number of teachers who carry out data processing and analysis intuitively and manually in the computing era, (5) increased competence of trainees in processing research data after training. Abstrak Kegiatan Ipteks bagi Masyarakat dilaksanakan di Kota Parepare Kecamatan Bacukiki, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan tepatnya di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 3 Parepare Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk: (1) Meningkatkan pengetahuan guru dalam pengolahan dan menganalisis data penelitian; (2) Meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan pada guru tentang pentingnya pengelolaan data dalam analisis data penelitian; (3) Meningkatkan wawasan, kemampuan, dan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan data menjadi lebih informatif dengan analisis data menggunakan perangkat lunak excel; dan (4) Mengurangi jumlah guru yang melakukan pengolahan dan analisis data secara intuisi dan manual di era komputasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dan pengajaran, diskusi, dan pelatihan secara kolaborasi antara pelaksana dengan mitra pertama. Metode ini dilaksanakan kepada semua guru SMP Negeri 3 Parepare, yang dilatih selama 2 s/d 4 hari dan selanjutnya evaluasi bertahap dan monitoring dilakukan secara berkala selama 2 bulan. Luaran yang dihasilkan adalah: (1) pengetahuan guru bertambah dalam pengolahan dan dalam menganalisis data penelitian; (2) Meningkatnya kesadaran dan pengetahuan pada guru tentang pentingnya pengolahan dan analisis data penelitian; (3) Meningkatnya wawasan, kemampuan, dan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan data menjadi lebih informatif dengan pengolahan dan analisis data yang tepat; dan (4) berkurangnya jumlah guru yang melakukan pengolahan dan analisis data secara intuisi dan manual di era komputasi, (5) Bertambahnya kompetensi peserta pelatihan dalam mengolah data penelitian setelah dilaksanakan pelatihan.

Abstract

Latar belakang pengabdian ini berasal dari evaluasi terhadap praktik pembelajaran geometri di tingkat pendidikan dasar. Evaluasi menunjukkan minimnya kepemilikan media pembelajaran geometri di sekolah-sekolah dasar serta terbatasnya kemampuan pendidik dalam mengkreasikan media pembelajaran berbasis konkret. Observasi mengungkap bahwa para pendidik di Kabupaten Pangkep cenderung mengandalkan video pembelajaran dari Youtube yang diproyeksikan melalui LCD, metode yang dinilai kurang efektif dalam menghadirkan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna. Merespons temuan ini, tim pengabdian menginisiasi program pelatihan yang bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan media pembelajaran geometri berbasis konkret, (2) mengaplikasikan media hasil pelatihan dalam konteks pembelajaran nyata, dan (3) mendiseminasikan keterampilan pembuatan media kepada komunitas pendidik. Pendekatan yang digunakan mencakup serangkaian aktivitas: paparan materi, demonstrasi praktis, workshop pembuatan, dan uji coba pemanfaatan media oleh peserta. Program ini terlaksana dengan baik dengan partisipasi 50 pendidik sesuai rencana awal. Evaluasi melalui kuesioner menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan mencapai 88,5% dari seluruh peserta.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a project-based mathematics module to enhance 21st century skills of junior high school students. The ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model was employed in this research. The results indicate that the developed module meets highly valid criteria based on expert validation: content expert (90%), media expert (89%), and language expert (97%). The practicality test involving 9 mathematics teachers shows a percentage of 93% (very practical), while the practicality test with 30 students demonstrates positive results in the very practical category. The module is designed in accordance with the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) and integrates project-based learning to develop students' critical thinking, creative thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and digital literacy skills.

Abstract

Generative artificial intelligence offers new opportunities to scaffold students’ mathematical reasoning, yet rigorous evidence of its impact on secondary students’ problem-solving remains limited. This study examined whether ChatGPT-driven adaptive learning improves eighth-grade students’ problem-solving performance on systems of linear equations in two variables (SPLDV) compared with conventional instruction. A pre–post-test control-group design was implemented with 47 eighth-grade students in Parepare, Indonesia (experimental n = 24; control n = 23) during the 2024/2025 academic year. The experimental group used ChatGPT as an adaptive tutor aligned with Polya’s stages (understand, plan, execute, look back) through guided prompts, hints, and feedback. In contrast, the control group received a lecture and practice. Students completed a six-item contextual SPLDV test scored with a Polya-based rubric. Between-group differences were tested on post-test scores and normalized gains after verifying normality and homogeneity assumptions. The experimental group achieved higher post-test performance (M = 68.33) than the control group (M = 59.57), with a significant difference (p = 0.019; η² = 0.117). Learning gains were also larger in the experimental group (mean N-gain = 0.34, medium) than in the control group (0.21, low; p = 0.001; η² = 0.372). Indicator-level patterns suggested the greatest improvements in understanding the problem and carrying out the plan, whereas devising a plan remained the most challenging stage in both groups. These findings indicate that ChatGPT-based adaptive scaffolding can enhance students’ mathematical problem-solving on SPLDV, but explicit teacher-guided routines are needed to strengthen strategic planning and the critical evaluation of AI outputs.
