Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the implementation of the SQ3R learning model in improving the ability of grade III elementary school students in solving mathematics problems. By using a qualitative approach and case study design, an in-depth picture of students' perceptions and experiences during the learning process was obtained. The results show that the SQ3R learning strategy helps students understand and analyze problems in a more structured way, thus having an impact on improving their ability to solve problems. This study contributes to the development of innovative and effective learning methods, and can be used as a reference by teachers and researchers in designing learning approaches that support improving students' academic achievement.

Abstract

This research explores how the family environment influences gadget use and its effect on the reading interest of elementary school students. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, utilizing interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques involving both parents and children. Data were gathered through questionnaires distributed to 12 elementary school students. The findings show that parental involvement in managing screen time and controlling digital content significantly contributes to the development of children's reading habits. Families that model reading behavior, provide access to both printed and digital reading resources, and restrict non-educational gadget usage tend to raise children with stronger reading interests. In contrast, unregulated gadget use often leads to screen dependency and detachment from literacy-related activities. This study highlights the need for strong cooperation between families and schools to promote family-centered digital literacy

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the deep learning approach to developing elementary school students' communication skills, especially at SD Muhammadiyah Ambarbinangun. The main focus of this research includes the form of application of deep learning in the learning process, the learning activities used, student responses to the learning model, as well as the challenges and solutions faced by teachers. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through interviews and documentation. Data was collected from purposively selected sources and analyzed qualitatively to explore the deep meaning of the observed phenomena. The research results show that the application of deep learning through group discussions, presentations and project-based learning plays an important role in improving students' communication skills. Students become more active, confident and open in expressing opinions and working together in groups. Although time constraints were a major challenge, teachers managed to overcome this through continuous evaluation which included observations and written assessments. Overall, deep learning is proven to not only improve cognitive understanding, but also strengthen students' social and emotional aspects.

Abstract

This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, where this study aims to analyze and describe the effectiveness of using picture word cards as a medium to enhance early reading skills in first-grade students at Tegalrejo III Public Elementary School. Education is a fundamental right that is crucial for the progress of human civilization, and early reading skills are a critical foundation for children's academic and social success. However, the facts show that teaching early reading in schools often still uses monotonous techniques, which results in a lack of interest and unsatisfactory learning outcomes for children. Common problems faced by children include difficulties in linking letters, syllables, simple sentences, distinguishing letters, and understanding the content of reading. One of the main factors is the lack of diversity in teaching strategies and learning media used. Therefore, this research investigates the creative use of illustrated flashcards to build a dynamic and engaging learning environment. Children's motivation, letter recognition, word spelling, and early reading skills have all been shown to improve significantly with illustrated flashcards that combine words with images. This material is also considered aesthetically pleasing and easy to understand. However, the use of this media is found to have limitations, as each card typically contains only one word. To make reading activities more challenging, it is suggested to create cards that can accommodate multiple words.

Abstract

Pendidikan dasar memegang peranan penting dalam membentuk pemahaman ilmiah peserta didik, salah satunya melalui pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA). Namun demikian, masih ditemukan berbagai miskonsepsi di kalangan siswa, khususnya pada materi wujud zat dan perubahannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap miskonsepsi yang dialami oleh siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar terkait materi tersebut dengan menggunakan tes diagnostik two-tier. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan melibatkan 41 siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Srandakan sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes diagnostik two-tier yang dirancang untuk mengungkap pemahaman dan alasan siswa secara bersamaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat miskonsepsi tertinggi terdapat pada topik perubahan wujud zat sebesar 73,13% (kategori tinggi), diikuti oleh jenis-jenis wujud zat sebesar 51,21% dan karakteristik wujud zat sebesar 60,97% (keduanya kategori sedang). Faktor penyebab miskonsepsi antara lain perbedaan pemahaman antar guru, sehingga penyampaian materi tidak seragam. Secara umum, miskonsepsi timbul akibat faktor siswa (prakonsepsi, tahap kognitif, minat, pola pikir), guru (penguasaan materi, metode mengajar, komunikasi), buku teks (informasi kurang akurat), dan metode pengajaran yang terbatas pada satu sudut pandang. Abstract

This study aims to analyze various obstacles faced by fifth grade students of Muhammadiyah Nglatihan Elementary School in understanding the concept of spatial figures. This study uses a qualitative approach combined with descriptive methods to obtain an in-depth picture of the phenomenon being studied, as a basis for describing the phenomenon being studied in depth as the main analysis framework. Data collection was carried out through direct participatory observation of 15 students during the mathematics learning process. The results of the study revealed that students experienced obstacles in visualizing three-dimensional shapes, distinguishing elements of spatial figures such as sides, edges, and vertices, and applying volume and surface area formulas correctly. These difficulties are caused by the lack of use of concrete media and learning approaches that are not in accordance with the stage of students' cognitive development.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 dan risiko bencana kekeringan menjadi dua tantangan besar yang dihadapi masyarakat Desa Karangjati, Kabupaten Blora. Dalam situasi terbatas tersebut, promosi kesehatan menjadi salah satu strategi efektif untuk mempertahankan dan meningkatkan kualitas kesehatan masyarakat. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan cakupan kualitas kesehatan masyarakat dan pengetahuan kader kesehatan dalam upaya promosi kesehatan PTM di wilayah dengan risiko bencana kekeringan selama masa pandemi. Pengabdian dilakukan melalui pendekatan partisipatif dengan tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan monitoring. Kegiatan melibatkan 10 kader kesehatan dan 42 warga dengan PTM. Intervensi dilakukan melalui penyuluhan kesehatan dan pelatihan kader, serta pemantauan langsung terhadap kondisi warga. Hasil pemantauan menunjukkan bahwa 33 warga (79%) berada dalam kondisi kesehatan yang baik, sementara 5 orang dalam kondisi sakit dan 4 orang melakukan kontrol rutin. Peningkatan pengetahuan kader kesehatan juga tercapai melalui penyegaran materi dan praktik pemantauan kesehatan warga secara langsung. Kesimpulan pengabdian bahwa promosi kesehatan yang dilakukan melalui pemberdayaan kader kesehatan terbukti efektif dalam menjaga kualitas kesehatan masyarakat, terutama pada kelompok dengan PTM.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesulitan yang dialami siswa kelas 3 sekolah dasar dalam menulis dan membaca permulaan pada pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Kemampuan membaca dan menulis merupakan keterampilan dasar yang sangat penting dalam mendukung keberhasilan belajar siswa di jenjang selanjutnya. Namun, pada kenyataannya masih banyak siswa yang menghadapi kendala dalam kedua aspek tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Diperoleh data yang menunjukkan bahwa 1) Proses menulis memakan waktu yang lambat. 2) Peserta didik menunjukkan kurangnya kelenturan serta terlihat tegang Ketika mencatat. 3) Peserta didik kesulitan dalam memperhatikan abjad seharusnya dituliskan. 4) Variasi dalam metode pengajaran guru. 5) Pemanfaatan media dalam pembelajaran. 6) Tingkat motivasi dan minat siswa. Direkomendasikan perlunya pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih variatif, penggunaan. Kata Kunci: kesulitan membaca,kesulitan menulis, kelas 3.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan dan menyoroti faktor-faktor yang relevan. terhadap keberhasilan model pendidikan inklusif SD Sonosewu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif, dengan melakukan wawancara terhadap narasumber kelas IV dan V. Wawancara dan observasi merupakan pendekatan yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan tantangan dan strategi yang dapat dihadapi pendidik ketika mengajar siswa inklusif.

Abstract

This research analyzes the limitations the use of learning media and its impact on the learning interest of second-grade students at SD Negeri Krebet. Finding the causes of these restrictions and how they affect student motivation is the aim of the study. A descriptive qualitative approach is used in the study. Interviews, observations, and documentation were used to gather data. The research results show that the limitations of learning media, such as the lack of access to modern teaching aids, significantly reduce student enthusiasm and engagement. The recommendations proposed include enhancing teacher training and investing in learning media facilities by schools to improve the quality of education.
