Abstract

Granulated sugar is a vital ingredient in Indonesia, widely used as a sweetener in various food and beverage applications. To meet increasing domestic demand, the government has targeted sugar self-sufficiency by 2025. The Indonesian Long-Term Development Plan 2020–2024 outlines efforts to enhance sugarcane productivity. This study aims to identify the factors influencing farmer loyalty in sugarcane cultivation in Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed to examine the relationships between government policy, sugar company policy, farmer behavior, and cooperative member participation (independent variables) and farmer loyalty (dependent variable). The data were analyzed using SmartPLS version 4. The results indicate that government policy and cooperative member participation do not significantly affect farmer loyalty, while farmer behavior and sugar company policy have a significant positive influence. Notably, the policies of sugar companies play a pivotal role in shaping farmers’ commitment to sugarcane cultivation. These findings suggest that strengthening farmer behavior and enhancing company-level policies can improve loyalty. Furthermore, the results imply that government efforts toward sugar self-sufficiency should not only focus on policy formulation but also ensure alignment with farmers' practical needs and support systems. Integrating sugar company strategies with national agricultural policies could enhance the effectiveness of government programs and accelerate the achievement of self-sufficiency targets.

Abstract

The integration of sustainability principles into human resource management has gained increasing scholarly attention, yet comprehensive frameworks addressing economic, social, and environmental dimensions simultaneously remain insufficiently developed. Whilst previous research has examined socially responsible HRM, green HRM, and sustainable work systems independently, the fragmented nature of these investigations limits understanding of how organisations can operationalise triple bottom line principles through strategic human resource management. This study employs a bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review to explore the incorporation of triple bottom line concepts into sustainable human resource management scholarship. Bibliometric data were collected from the Scopus database covering publications between 2015 and 2025, analysed using VOSviewer and Bibliometrix package in R to map intellectual structures, publication trends, and thematic evolution. The findings reveal substantial growth in sustainable HRM and green HRM research over the past decade, with three dominant typologies identified: socially responsible HRM, green HRM, and triple bottom line HRM. However, persistent challenges include conceptual fragmentation, inside-out economic orientations, and geographical imbalances in research contributions. The study contributes empirically by documenting intellectual evolution of triple bottom line research in sustainable HRM and conceptually by synthesising how economic viability, social equity, and environmental responsibility are progressively operationalised within human resource management domains.

Abstract

. Kata kunci: Kesuksesan Bisnis, Kopi Kare, SEM-PLS, Manajemen Agribisnis, Motivasi Kewirausahaan, Semangat Kewirausahaan. This study analyzes the influence of agribusiness management (AM) and entrepreneurial motivation (EM) on business success (BS) among coffee farmers in Kare District, Madiun Regency, with entrepreneurial spirit (ES) as a mediating variable. Primary data were collected from the entire population of 85 members of the Mugi Lestari Farmers Group using a five-point Likert questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS to test the direct, indirect, and total effects. The results showed that AM and EM had a positive and significant effect on ES and BS. However, ES was not proven to significantly mediate the relationship between AM and EM with BS. The structural model can explain 64% of the variance in BS. These findings conclude that improving coffee business performance is more dependent on strengthening management and motivation directly, while efforts to develop an entrepreneurial spirit alone are not sufficient to impact business success. The study recommends an integrated empowerment program that combines agribusiness technical training with incentive schemes to improve farmer motivation and entrepreneurial behavior, in order to support the competitiveness and sustainability of coffee businesses. Abstract

Rice fields managed by farmers or agricultural business actors provide cultivation benefits and environmental services. Research in Japan shows that the environmental benefits of rice fields reach 90%, much higher than its role as a cultivation medium which is only 10%. This study aims to examine the economic value of rice fields as a whole in three main aspects: (1) its value as a rice field medium, (2) its value as an environmental service, especially flood control, and (3) a comparison of these economic values. The method used is economic valuation through the Replacement Cost Method (MBP) and the calculation of farming profits. MBP is used to calculate the economic value of rice fields that do not yet have a market price. Meanwhile, the calculation of farming profits is to assess the cultivation benefits produced by rice fields. The results of the study show that (1) the economic value of rice fields as a rice field medium is IDR 24,750,000 per hectare per year. (2) As a provider of flood control, its economic value reaches IDR. 150,276,000 per hectare per year, and the conversion of 350 hectares could result in an annual loss of Rp. 52.6 billion. (3) The comparison of the economic value between rice fields as a planting medium and as a flood controller is 1:6, highlighting the important environmental benefits provided by rice fields

Abstract

Broilers are one of the animal protein producers that experience an increase in demand every year. Based on data from the Food Security and Livestock Service Office of Pamekasan Regency in 2019, the highest broiler production in Pamekasan Regency was located in Larangan Subdistrict, however, many farmers closed their businesses. This research was conducted at Pak Rudi's broiler farm located in Pamekasan Regency with the aim of knowing the sources of risk, prioritizing risks that require the most immediate prevention, and knowing alternative control strategies. The methods used in this research are fishbone and FMEA. The results of this study indicate that there are three main sources of risk on this broiler farm including production risk, financial risk, and marketing risk. Risk prioritization lies in the source of production risk with an indicator of the risk of contracting diseases for alternative strategies used in controlling risks in the form of administering vaccines regularly to maintain the immune system of chickens and conducting examinations on chickens carefully and regularly so that if there are chickens that contract diseases, treatment can be carried out quickly and appropriately to avoid disease transmission to other chickens.
