Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji pengaruh strategi brain based learning pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain non-equivalent control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Eka Sakti Semarang. VII Bahasa dan VII Bhinneka dipilih menjadi sampel dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dinyatakan berpengaruh apabila terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara keterampilan berpikir kritis kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Data keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa diuji menggunakan uji t. Hasil analisis uji t menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifkan yaitu keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi brain based learning pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup berpengaruh lebih baik terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. The study examines the effect of brain based learning strategy on material classification of living things on sudents’ critical thinking. The study adopted non-equivalent control group design. The population of the study included all junior primary Eka Sakti Semarang. VII Bahasa and VII Bhinneka were selected using purposive sampling technique. This study avowed to be influential if there was a significant difference between critical thinking skill of experimental group and control group. Data of students’ critical thinking skill was examined using t test. The result of t test analyis showed that there was a significant difference which critical thinking skill of experimental group better than the control group. The study showed that brain based learning strategy on material classification of living things has positive effect on sudents’ critical thinking skill.

Abstract

  Abstract ___________________________________________________________________The aims of this research are to develop student worksheet based on Search, Solve, Create, and Share model and to measure the effectiveness of student worksheet for the student learning achievement, thinking skills, activities, and scientific attitude of Molluscs and Arthropods concept. Based on initial observation, known that needs to develop LKS which has never been used in the learning of Molluscs and Arthropods. This is an R&D research with pretest-posttest comparison group design. Large-scale field-testing in this research was class X.IPA.1, X.IPA.3, dan X.IPA.7 in Senior High School 1 of Tegal. Result of student worksheet development in terms of its material feasibility aspect was 75,75% and media feasibility 83,9%. Normalized gain score was 0,62, indicating that there was an increasing learning achievement from pretest to posttest under medium category. The average classical completeness of students reached 82,96%. The average percentage classical of students for the thinking skills, activities, and scientific attitude of student are 77,7%; 77,04%, and 77,76%. It was concluded that student worksheet on the basis of Search, Solve, Create, and Share model was feasible and effectively applied for learning of Molluscs and Arthropods concept.  Abstrak___________________________________________________________________Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKS berbasis Search, Solve, Create, and Share dan mengukur keefektivan LKS terhadap hasil belajar, keterampilan berpikir, aktivitas, sikap ilmiah dalam pembelajaran Mollusca dan Arthropoda. Berdasarkan observasi awal diketahui bahwa perlu dikembangkan LKS yang belum pernah digunakan dalam pembelajaran Mollusca dan Arthropoda. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian Research and Development dengan desain pretest-posttest comparison group. Uji skala besar dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas X.IPA.1, X.IPA.3, dan X.IPA.7 di SMA Negeri 1 Tegal. Hasil pengembangan LKS, aspek kelayakan materi memperoleh skor 75,75% dan kelayakan media 83,9%. Nilai gain ternormalisasi sebesar 0,62 menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar dari pretest ke posttest dengan kategori sedang. Rata-rata ketuntasan klasikal siswa mencapai 82,96%. Rata-rata persentase klasikal keterampilan berpikir; aktivitas; dan sikap ilmiah siswa berturut-turut yaitu 77,7%; 77,04%, dan 77,76%. Berdasarkan hal tersebut disimpulkan bahwa LKS berbasis Search, Solve, Create, and Share layak dan efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran Mollusca dan Arthropoda.

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to discribe the correlation between emotional regulation and interest in learning with the learning achievement of students of biology. This study is a correlational study conducted SMA Negeri 1 Muntilan. The study population was a class XI student-MIA as many as 154 students. The sample used is 82 students, taken by simple random sampling. The method of data collection used is the method of questionnaire (emotion regulation’s scale and the scale of interest in learning) and documentation (midterm’s value of biology). Data were analyzed by partial correlation analysis followed by multiple regressions. The coefficient of determination showed that there was a positive correlation in moderate category with the amount 53.1% between emotion regulation and interest in learning together with biology student learning achievement. Thus the statement indicates that the regulation of emotion and interest in learning of biology contribute to the achievement of student learning. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan antara regulasi emosi dan minat belajar dengan prestasi belajar biologi siswa. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional yang dilaksanakan SMA Negeri 1 Muntilan Kabupaten Magelang pada semester gasal tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI-MIA sebanyak 154 siswa. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 82 siswa, diambil melalui simple random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode kuesioner (skala regulasi emosi dan skala minat belajar) dan dokumentasi (nilai ujian tengah semester biologi). Data dianalisis dengan analisis korelasi parsial dilanjutkan dengan regresi berganda.Hasil koefisien determinasi penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang positif berkriteria sedang dengan besaran 53,1% antara regulasi emosi dan minat belajar secara bersama-sama dengan prestasi belajar biologi siswa. Dengan demikian pernyataan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa regulasi emosi dan minat belajar berperan terhadap prestasi belajar biologi siswa.

Abstract

Abstrak __________________________________________________________________________________ Standar Proses meliputi perencanaan proses pembelajaran, pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran, dan penilaian proses dan hasil pembelajaran. Standar Penilaian meliputi penilaian otentik yang mengukur ranah kompetensi sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan secara berimbang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hambatan guru Biologi kelas X di SMA Negeri se Kabupaten Semarang dalam implementasi Standar Proses dan Standar Penilaian Kurikulum 2013. Berdasarkan observasi awal ditemukan fakta bahwa Guru Biologi Kelas X mengalami hambatan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Kualitatif dimana objek dan sumber data yang dipelajari diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah guru Biologi kelas X, aktivitas yang diamati adalah proses pembelajaran, dokumen Silabus dan RPP digunakan sebagai data pelengkap. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis dekskriptif presentase digunakan untuk menganalisis data hasil kuesioner, data hasil wawancara dan observasi dianalisis secara kualitatif, data hasil dokumentasi sebagai data pelengkap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gambaran umum hambatan guru Biologi kelas X dalam perencanaan proses pembelajaran rata-rata sebesar 24,09% termasuk dalam kategori hambatan rendah, dalam pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran rata-rata sebesar 22,92% termasuk dalam kategori hambatan rendah, dan dalam penilaian proses dan hasil pembelajaran rata-rata sebesar 22,25% termasuk dalam kategori hambatan rendah. Standar Penilaian are include in authentic assesment that measure attitude competence, knowledge competence, and skill competence in equal proportion. This researh go in a certain direction to find out the obstruction of Standar Proses and Standar Penilaian Kurikulum 2013 implementation for the ten grade Biology Teacher’s in state senior high school on entire Semarang regency. Be based on the beginning observation there is a fact that the ten grade Biology Teacher’s in state senior high school on entire Semarang regency have an obstruction. This is a Qualitative Research and the purposive sampling technique is use to take the object and the data resoure. The respondent on this research are the ten grade Biology Teacher’s, the activity observed is learning process, and the document of syllabus and the teacher’s learning implementation plan use as a data complement. The data accumulation methods is questionnaire, interview, observation, and documentation. The data analysis method is the descriptic analysis with percentage methods for analyzing the questionnaire data output. The interview and the observation data output analyzed by qualitative method, and the documentation data output as a complement. The result indicate the general representation of the ten grade senior high school Biology Teacher’s obstruction  on the learning procces plan in 24,09% average that include in low obstruction category, on the learning procces implementation in 22,92% average that include in low obstruction category, and then on the learning proccess and output evaluation in 22,25% that include in low obstruction category. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan menganalisis kontribusi BSCS5E Instructional Model dengan pendekatan JAS terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa. Metodepenelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental design dengan desain penelitian pretestt-posttestcontrol group design, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana.Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP Negeri 1 Boja kelas VIII tahun pelajaran 2016/2017dengan sampel kelas VIII B dan VIII D yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Instrumen tesdigunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi sains, sedangkan tingkat keterlaksanaan sintaksBSCS 5E Instructional Model dengan pendekatan JAS diukur menggunakan angket. Berdasarkananalisis data yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh persamaan regresi Ŷ=48,421X + 0,354, koefisienkorelasi antara BSCS 5E Instructional Model dengan pendekatan JAS dengan kemampuan literasi sainssiswa sebesar 0,572 dan koefisien determinasi 0,328. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa BSCS 5EInstructional Model dengan pendekatan JAS berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan literasisains siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Boja Kendal dan BSCS 5E Instructional Model denganpendekatan JAS memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri1 Boja Kendal sebesar 32,8%.   The purpose of this study to determine the effect and analyze the contribution of the BSCS 5EInstructional Model with JAS approach towards students science literacy skills. The method used is a quasiexperimentaldesign with pretestt-posttest control group design, whereas the data analysis techniques using simplelinear regression test. This study population are students of SMP Negeri 1 Boja class VIII school year 2016/2017with a sample class VIII B and VIII D were taken by purposive sampling. The test instrument used to measurethe ability of science literacy, while the level of adherence to the syntax of the BSCS 5E Instructional Model withJAS approach is measured using a questionnaire. Based on data analysis that has been done, regression equationY = 48,421X + 0.354, the correlation coefficient between the BSCS 5E Instructional Model with JAS approachwith students science literacy skills amounted to 0.572 and the determination coefficient is 0.328. The resultsshowed that the BSCS 5E Instructional Model with the approach JAS significant effect on the ability of scienceliteracy class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Boja Kendal and BSCS 5E Instructional Model with the approach of JAS havean impact on the ability of science literacy class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Boja Kendal about 32, 8%.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze collaborative skill through guided inquiry strategy on cell bioprocess material and analyzerelationships of collaborative skill with students cognitive result. Student’s collaborative skill which assessed were student’s participation in experimental activities, students’s participation in discussion activities, adaptation in grup and flexible work. This research method uses one shot case study with pre-experimental design. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIPA 1, XI MIPA 2 and XI MIPA 3 with a total of 107 students. The collaborative skill of student’s assessed using observation, self-assessment and peer assessment. Then the results of the assessment were correlated with student cognitive study results. A total of 91.6% of students have excellent collaborative skills and 8.4% of students have good category. The correlation test results showed that there is a positive relationship between collaborative skill and student test result. It can be concluded that guided inquiry strategy is effective toward students collaborative skill and gives positive relationship between collaborative skill and students cognitive result

Abstract

This research aims to know the influence of motivation towards Learning Cycle of learning and critical thinking skills of students on the material of the human digestive system in SMP Negeri 03 Jekulo. The sample used is grade VIII VIII C and D taken with the technique of convenience sampling and research design a non-randomized control group pretest-posttes design. Data obtained in the form of motivation and critical thinking skills as well as the response of teachers and students towards learning Learning Cycle model. Data analysis using SPSS 16.0. The research results obtained studying motivations of students after learning Learning Cycle has increased from 76.87 with higher category be the category with very tinngi 84.67. Results the average critical thinking skills has increased from 76.34 with critical categories into classes with 82.11 wants a category of highly critical. The t-test based on posttest showed thitung > 11.628 from ttabel 2.073 which means there is a significant difference. The response of the students towards the Learning Cycle shows interest because of the interesting activities and serves the appropriate issues with everyday life. The teacher gave a positive response, namely students became active in learning, so that students acquire the knowledge of the concept of direct experience of the menjadiikan pengetahuaanya longer remember.  The conclusions of this research are the Learning Cycle model provides a positive influence motivation towards learning and critical thinking skills on the material of the human digestive system in SMP Negeri 3 jekulo.

Abstract

Interest determines the yield. Higher learning interests can improve learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the interest of students in participate the guidance of learning and its implications on the results of biology learning in SMAN 1 Semarang. The methodology research uses mixmethod with sequential exploration strategy. The research was conducted in the field using four methods, namely observation, interview, documentation, and questionnaire. Data were obtained in the form of description of student interest and student interest score. Furthermore, compared with the final exam results of students. Data were analyzed by correlation, regression and t-test which then explained. The results showed that 70% of students interested to participate the guidance of learning and based on linear regression analysis there is a contribution of student interest on the results of biological studies with r2 = 0.87 (? = 0.003). Pearson product moment correlation analysis obtained coefficient value 0.295 with significance 0.003 indicates that there is a positive relationship between interest with biology learning result. Based on the independent test ttest shows tvalue = 5.12 ? ttable = 2.32 (? = 0.00; n = 100). Based on the results of research and discussion can be concluded that some students are interested in participate the guidance of biology learning. Students' interest in learning outcomes has a positive relationship with low criteria and influences biological learning outcomes. There are differences in biology learning outcomes of students who participate the guidance of learning and not participate in tutoring.

Abstract

This Study aimed to determine the effect of guided inquiry-based learning model with Natural Environment Exploration (JAS) approach on the topic of sensory system on student?s Sciencetific Process Skills (SPS) as well as determining the increase of students? SPS. The type of this study was quasi-experimental with non-equivalent control group design. Subjects in this study were students from grade XI of class MIA 4 as the control and XI MIA 5 as the treatment group. The independent variable was the guided inquiry-based learning model with JAS approach on the topic of sensory system, while the dependent variable was students? SPS. Students? SPS was measured by pre-test and post-test consist of 30 questions. The result of data analysis showed that the guided inquiry-based learning model with JAS approach had a significant effect on students? SPS, with the value of determination coefficient at 0.374. Students? SPS increased after the treatment with the average N-gain of treatment group at 0.27. The result of the study concludes that the implementation of guided inquiry-based learning model by JAS approach on the topic of sensory system affects and increases the students? SPS, especially in the aspect of interpreting data, communicating, designing experiment, formulating hypotheses and classifying

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of Project Based Learning ecosystems dioramas with Jelajah Alam Sekitar approach against students’ critical thinking ability and creativity, and to analyze the relationship between critical thinking ability and students' creativity in Project Based Learning ecosystems dioramas with Jelajah Alam Sekitar approach. This research method is pre-experimental design with pre-test and post-test one group design. The results showed that Project Based Learning ecosystems dioramas with Jelajah Alam Sekitar approach was effective against students' critical thinking ability and creativity. The average of critical thinking ability in post-test is 84.96 and average of creativity in post-test is 84.50. The completeness of classical learning shows "High" criteria, the classical completeness rate in post-test of critical thinking and creativity is same (89.21%). The results of the N-gain mean on the test scores of critical thinking ability and creativity are in the "High" criteria. N-gain of critical thinking ability shows "High" category (66.66%) and N-gain creativity shows "High" category (79.42%). The results of the analysis of the two average difference test (one right side) on the critical thinking ability test has t table of 1.97 < t count of 20.89. The creativity test has t table of 1.97 < t count of 31.80, so it shows a significant difference between the achievements at the pre-test and post-test. Based on these results it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning ecosystems dioramas with Jelajah Alam Sekitar approach are effective against students' critical thinking ability and creativity. The relationship between critical thinking ability and creativity shows the relation of 0.38, has a "Low" criteria, so it can be concluded that the relationship between critical thinking ability and student creativity in Project Based Learning ecosystems dioramas with Jelajah Alam Sekitar approach is low.
