Abstract

Character education in schools plays a crucial role in shaping students' behavior, particularly in enhancing their awareness of environmental issues. This study aims to explore the implementation of character education through the Rohis organization at SMK Al Ihsan Sukanegara and its impact on students' character, especially in terms of cleanliness and environmental conservation. A qualitative approach was used, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving students, Rohis mentors, and the school principal. The findings indicate that activities carried out by Rohis, such as environmental cleanliness programs and tree planting, effectively integrate religious teachings about cleanliness into practical school activities. However, a major challenge identified is students' inconsistency in maintaining cleanliness outside formal activities. The study concludes that character education based on religion through Rohis can raise students' awareness of the importance of cleanliness and environmental sustainability. Future prospects for this program involve the active involvement of families and communities, as well as the need for regular evaluations to ensure its continuity. In conclusion, character education that integrates environmental awareness can foster a generation that is more concerned with the earth and responsible for its preservation. ABSTRAKPendidikan karakter di sekolah memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk perilaku siswa, terutama dalam meningkatkan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali penerapan pendidikan karakter melalui organisasi Rohis di SMK Al Ihsan Sukanegara dan dampaknya terhadap karakter siswa, khususnya dalam hal kebersihan dan pelestarian lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi untuk mengumpulkan data dari siswa, guru pembimbing Rohis, dan kepala sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan yang dilaksanakan oleh Rohis, seperti program kebersihan lingkungan dan penanaman pohon, efektif dalam mengintegrasikan ajaran agama tentang kebersihan dengan kegiatan nyata di sekolah. Meskipun demikian, tantangan utama adalah ketidakkonsistenan siswa dalam menjaga kebersihan di luar kegiatan formal. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan karakter berbasis agama melalui organisasi Rohis dapat meningkatkan kesadaran siswa tentang pentingnya menjaga kebersihan dan kelestarian alam. Prospek pengembangan program ini di masa depan melibatkan peran keluarga dan masyarakat serta perlu adanya evaluasi berkala untuk memastikan keberlanjutannya. Dengan demikian, pendidikan karakter yang mengintegrasikan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan dapat menciptakan generasi yang lebih peduli terhadap bumi dan bertanggung jawab atas kelestariannya.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the strategies used by parents in instilling awareness of performing prayers (Sholat) in early childhood in Srikaton Village, Anak Tuha District. Early instillation of religious practices, particularly prayer, is crucial in shaping the religious character of children. The research employed a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews and observations with parents and TPQ (Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur'an) teachers. The findings indicate that parents employ several strategies, including setting an example by praying themselves, repeatedly teaching prayer movements and recitations, advising children on the importance of prayer, and enrolling children in TPQ for religious education. Parents also ensure the comfort and focus of their children during the learning process and consistently pray for their children to become pious individuals. The study concludes that despite variations in approaches, the methods used are effective in instilling prayer awareness in young children. Future research could explore the use of digital media as an additional tool in children's religious education. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali strategi orang tua dalam menanamkan kesadaran ibadah sholat pada anak usia dini di Kampung Srikaton, Kecamatan Anak Tuha. Penanaman kesadaran ibadah sholat sejak usia dini sangat penting dalam pembentukan karakter religius anak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam dan observasi terhadap orang tua serta guru TPQ. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi orang tua dalam mengajarkan sholat pada anak melibatkan beberapa metode, antara lain mencontohkan langsung, melatih gerakan dan bacaan sholat secara berulang, memberi nasehat tentang pentingnya sholat, serta mengirimkan anak ke TPQ untuk pendalaman agama. Orang tua juga memperhatikan kenyamanan dan fokus anak saat belajar sholat, serta selalu mendoakan anak agar menjadi pribadi yang soleh. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa meskipun terdapat variasi dalam pendekatan, metode yang digunakan cukup efektif dalam menanamkan kesadaran ibadah sholat pada anak usia dini. Prospek pengembangan penelitian ini di masa depan dapat difokuskan pada penggunaan media digital sebagai sarana tambahan dalam pendidikan agama anak.

Abstract

Character education is an integral part of shaping the personality of adolescents with good morals and integrity. This article aims to analyze the values of character education in Izhatun Nasyi'in by Sheikh Musthafa al-Ghalayaini, focusing on concepts such as patience (sabr), sincerity (ikhlas), hope, courage, and nationalism, which are considered important in adolescent character formation. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection through literature studies of the Izhatun Nasyi'in text and interviews with educational practitioners and experts in character education. The analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques to identify key themes in the text and in-depth interviews. The findings of this study show that values such as patience and sincerity have a strong relevance in shaping resilient, hopeful, and highly-integrated adolescents. Moreover, the concepts of hope and courage in this book teach the younger generation to face life's challenges with strong determination and always maintain noble aspirations for the nation’s development. Based on these findings, it is recommended that these values be more widely integrated into both formal and non-formal education, as well as in family education, to form a generation that is not only intellectually competent but also emotionally and spiritually mature. Thus, character education based on the values found in Izhatun Nasyi'in can serve as a solid foundation for producing a high-quality generation ready to face global challenges. ABSTRAKPendidikan karakter merupakan bagian integral dalam pembentukan kepribadian remaja yang berakhlak baik dan berintegritas. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam kitab Izhatun Nasyi'in karya Syaikh Musthafa al-Ghalayaini, dengan fokus pada konsep-konsep seperti sabar, ikhlas, harapan, keberanian, dan nasionalisme yang dianggap penting dalam pembentukan karakter remaja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka terhadap teks Izhatun Nasyi'in dan wawancara dengan praktisi pendidikan serta pakar di bidang pendidikan karakter. Analisis dilakukan dengan teknik analisis isi untuk mengidentifikasi tema-tema kunci dalam teks dan wawancara yang mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai seperti sabar dan ikhlas memiliki relevansi yang sangat kuat dalam membentuk karakter remaja yang tangguh, penuh harapan, serta berintegritas tinggi. Selain itu, konsep harapan dan keberanian dalam kitab ini mengajarkan kepada generasi muda untuk tidak hanya menghadapi tantangan hidup dengan tekad yang kuat, tetapi juga untuk selalu memiliki cita-cita luhur dalam membangun bangsa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, disarankan agar nilai-nilai ini diintegrasikan lebih luas dalam pendidikan formal dan non-formal, serta dalam pendidikan keluarga, untuk membentuk generasi yang tidak hanya cerdas secara intelektual, tetapi juga matang secara emosional dan spiritual. Dengan demikian, pendidikan karakter yang berbasis pada nilai-nilai dalam Izhatun Nasyi'in dapat menjadi dasar yang kokoh dalam mencetak generasi muda yang berkualitas dan siap menghadapi tantangan global.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the strategies implemented by the headmaster to improve teachers' performance at MTs Bustanul Ulum Jayasakti. The main focus of this research is how the headmaster employs various approaches to empower teachers and enhance educational quality. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that the headmaster implements several key strategies, including continuous training programs, individual teacher performance evaluations, rewards and incentives, teacher involvement in decision-making, and improvements in educational facilities. These strategies have proven effective in enhancing teachers' competencies and motivation, as well as creating a better learning environment. The conclusion of this study indicates that visionary and participatory leadership of the headmaster can be a key factor in improving teachers' performance and the quality of education at the madrasa. In the future, this research can be expanded by examining the impact of each strategy on student learning outcomes. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis strategi yang diterapkan oleh kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di MTs Bustanul Ulum Jayasakti. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah bagaimana kepala madrasah menggunakan berbagai pendekatan untuk memberdayakan guru dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala madrasah menerapkan beberapa strategi penting, termasuk program pelatihan berkelanjutan, evaluasi kinerja guru secara individu, pemberian penghargaan dan insentif, keterlibatan guru dalam pengambilan keputusan, serta peningkatan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan. Strategi-strategi ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi dan motivasi guru, serta menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang lebih baik. Simpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala madrasah yang visioner dan partisipatif dapat menjadi kunci utama dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru dan kualitas pendidikan di madrasah. Ke depannya, penelitian ini dapat diperluas dengan mengkaji pengaruh masing-masing strategi terhadap hasil pembelajaran siswa.

Abstract

Schools often organize non-formal activities to enhance students' understanding of Islamic religious education, which often receives limited time in the classroom. This underscores the need for greater attention to religious education, as it is an integral part of the school curriculum. This research aims to evaluate the impact of extracurricular religious activities on students' understanding of Islamic Religious Education at SMP N 1 Padangratu Lampung Tengah. The method employed in this study is quantitative, utilizing data collection methods such as Observation, Documentation, and Questionnaires. Data analysis involves summarizing, presenting, drawing conclusions, and verifying data validity. The research findings indicate a significant correlation between extracurricular activities and the improvement of students' understanding of PAI, with an "r" value of 0.418, considered quite strong in the interpretation category.

Abstract

The dynamic regulatory landscape presents significant challenges for International Standard Schools (SBI) in Indonesia, impacting their ability to meet global educational standards while integrating local cultural values. This study aims to explore the regulatory challenges faced by SBIs and their implications for educational quality and cultural integration. The method used is library research, which involves reviewing relevant literature and studies on regulations and the implementation of international standard programs. The findings reveal that although SBIs strive to provide high-quality education and facilities in line with international standards, they are often hindered by fluctuating regulations and inadequate financial support. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of a consistent and supportive regulatory framework, sustainable funding sources, and the adoption of an inclusive curriculum that respects local cultural values. These insights offer valuable implications for policymakers, educational institutions, and stakeholders, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts to enhance the stability and effectiveness of SBIs in Indonesia. By addressing these challenges, SBIs can better fulfill their role in providing internationally competitive education while preserving Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage.

Abstract

This research is aiming to examine the process of Islam's adaptation to local culture in Indonesia, which is creating a distinct and unique Islamic identity. Islam, which is arriving in Indonesia as a global religion, is experiencing dynamic interaction with local traditions and cultures, resulting in syncretism in various aspects of society. Through a qualitative approach using literature study method, this research is finding that Islam in Indonesia is not only being passively accepted, but is undergoing deep negotiation and transformation, both in religious practices, social structures, arts, and law. One of the main findings is the integration between Islamic teachings and local cultural practices, such as in religious rituals, performing arts, and architecture, which is showing a strong influence of local culture on the form of Islam developing in Indonesia. However, this research is also revealing the tensions between more universal Islamic teachings and the more particular local cultural values, which are sometimes creating challenges in maintaining harmony between the two. This research is concluding that Islam in Indonesia is the result of a complex adaptation process, involving cultural syncretism that is not only creating harmony but also sometimes generating tensions. For further research, it is being suggested to explore more the regional differences in the acceptance of Islam and how this adaptation process is unfolding in different areas of Indonesia. Abstract

Rendahnya tingkat publikasi artikel ilmiah di kalangan mahasiswa Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (PTKI), termasuk di Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Tarbiyah (STIT) Bustanul Ulum Lampung Tengah. Hal ini menjadi tantangan signifikan dalam meningkatkan reputasi akademik dan penyebaran pengetahuan. Pengabdian Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan penyusunan karya ilmiah bagi mahasiswa STIT Bustanul Ulum Lampung Tengah. PkM ini menggunakan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR), yakni dengan menekankan pentingnya keterlibatan mahasiswa yang akan dijadikan objek pengabdian. Identifikasi masalah, perencanaan, hingga tindakan pengabdian. Identifikasi masalah bagi mahasiswa STIT Bustanul Ulum adalah kurangnya kemampuan dalam menulis artikel jurnal ilmiah yang mencakup aspek penulisan, tinjauan pustaka, metodologi penelitian, dan proses pengiriman naskah. Memperhatikan masalah yang dihadapi objek pengabdian tersebut, tindakan yang diberikan adalah dengan melaksanakan bimbingan penulisan artikel ilmiah selama dua hari agar dapat memberikan perubahan bagi mahasiswa objek pengabdian dalam penyusunan artikel jurnal. Hasil pengabdian ini adalah dapat diukur melalui beberapa indikator utama, yaitu: pertama, para mahasiswa mampu menyusun artikel jurnal ilmiah yang siap untuk dikirimkan ke beberapa jurnal yang sesuai bidang masing-masing; kedua, terdapat peningkatan kompetensi penulisan, di mana peserta menunjukkan kemampuan yang lebih baik dalam menulis artikel ilmiah serta memiliki pemahaman yang lebih mendalam mengenai standar internasional dalam publikasi akademik; ketiga, dalam jangka menengah, jumlah artikel yang berhasil dipublikasikan di jurnal terakreditasi mengalami peningkatan; dan keempat, program ini turut memperkuat jaringan akademik melalui kolaborasi antara STIT Bustanul Ulum Lampung Tengah sebagai PTKI di bawah naungan Kementerian Agama dan Universitas Lampung sebagai PTN di bawah naungan Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, serta mendorong peserta untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam konferensi ilmiah dan seminar di tingkat nasional maupun internasional.

Abstract

This study aims to describe Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning in realizing independent learning in MI / SD. The method in this research is literature study. Literature study research is usually referred to as bibliography. Literature study can be done by reviewing or searching in various scientific papers, research reports relevant to the problem being studied, books as reinforcing references, scientific magazines, newspapers and so on. To understand a concept in learning is one of the learning objectives itself and understanding this concept has been determined by the government. Learning concepts will be easier to understand if students are able to interpret the concept well. The results of this study indicate that through Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning, students are able to understand a learning concept by linking it to everyday life, so that students can capture the concept as a whole. Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning itself has important components that are not owned by other learning. The main components of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) are; Contructivism, Questioning, Inquiry, Learning Community, Modeling, Reflection and Authentic Assessment. With these components that will help students in understanding and interpreting a concept / learning material as a whole and well by linking it to everyday life.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The transformation of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum within the Merdeka Belajar policy context represents a strategic effort to address educational challenges in the era of globalization and Indonesia’s socio-cultural dynamics. This study focuses on analyzing the dynamics of implementing the Merdeka curriculum in PAI, emphasizing changes in teaching methods, the role of teachers, the utilization of technology, and the integration of the Indonesian Student Profile values. The research employs a qualitative approach through a literature review of primary and secondary sources from the past ten years. The research stages include data collection via document analysis, comparative analysis, and synthesis of empirical and conceptual findings. Results indicate that the PAI curriculum transformation occurs in a complex context, with major challenges including teacher readiness, infrastructure limitations, and resistance to traditional learning cultures. However, significant potential exists through the application of innovative teaching methods and digital technology to enhance contextual and humanistic religious education quality. The study concludes that a holistic approach to PAI curriculum development is necessary—not only adjusting content but also the learning culture and systems to align with the values of Merdeka Belajar and the Indonesian Student Profile. This research recommends strengthening teacher capacity and equitable provision of facilities as strategic steps to support the sustainable transformation of religious education in Indonesia. ABSTRAK Transformasi kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam konteks kebijakan Merdeka Belajar merupakan upaya strategis untuk menjawab tantangan pendidikan di era globalisasi dan dinamika sosial budaya Indonesia. Fokus penelitian ini adalah menganalisis dinamika implementasi kurikulum Merdeka pada PAI, dengan menyoroti perubahan metode pembelajaran, peran guru, pemanfaatan teknologi, dan integrasi nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi literatur dari sumber-sumber primer dan sekunder terkini selama sepuluh tahun terakhir. Tahapan penelitian meliputi pengumpulan data melalui kajian dokumentasi, analisis komparatif, serta sintesis temuan empiris dan konseptual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transformasi kurikulum PAI berjalan dalam konteks yang kompleks, dengan kendala utama pada kesiapan guru, keterbatasan infrastruktur, dan resistensi budaya pembelajaran tradisional. Namun, terdapat potensi besar melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran inovatif dan teknologi digital untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan agama yang kontekstual dan humanis. Kesimpulan penelitian menegaskan perlunya pendekatan holistik dalam pengembangan kurikulum PAI, yang tidak hanya menyesuaikan konten, tetapi juga budaya dan sistem pembelajaran secara menyeluruh agar selaras dengan nilai-nilai Merdeka Belajar dan Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi untuk penguatan kapasitas guru dan pemerataan sarana-prasarana sebagai langkah strategis dalam mendukung keberlanjutan transformasi pendidikan agama di Indonesia.
