Abstract

This research is motivated by the students interest in narrative writing skills are still low. Problems encountered is the difficulty students in expressing ideas or his mind in the form of expository writing, students difficulty in determining the characteristics of narrative essays, students difficulties in distinguishing narrative essay examples. This is due to the teachers not on the use of learning methods. This study aimed to describe the narrative expository essay writing skills using cooperative learning model CIRC class VII SMP Negeri 2 Bayang.This type of research is a quantitative study using descriptive methods. The study population was a class VII student of SMP Negeri 2 Imagine the academic year 2012/2013. Number of students, the population in this study were 210 students, which is scattered in seven classes. The sample was 32 people (15% x number of population per class). The data obtained in this study by giving a test to the students.             The results can be seen the following things. First, the ability of students to write an expository essay narrative using cooperative learning model (CIRC) class VII student of SMP Negeri 2 Bayang for Indicator 1 (written language to expand knowledge) are at sufficient qualifications (C) with an average of 63.75 students abilities. Second, Indicator 2 (conveying information about an event in chronological order) is more than enough in qualifying (LDC) with an average of 66.88 students abilities. Third, Indicator 3 (the language used is more likely to kebahasa informative with emphasis on the use of denotative words) are on qualified enough (C) with an average of 56.25 students abilities. Based on the research that has been conducted on the ability of narrative expository essay writing using cooperative learning model (CIRC) class VII student of SMP Negeri 2 Bayang, it can be concluded that the ability to write narrative expository essay using cooperative learning model (CIRC), a student of class VII SMP Negeri 2 Imagine obtaining an average of 63.81 , is in the range 56-65 % qualified enough (C). The study is expected to be Indonesian teacher at SMP Negeri 2 shadow to enhance students understanding back narrative expository essay

Abstract

This researeh is relid on the moral values, social, social volues, intelektual values and religious values. The purpose of the researeh is to deseribe educational values of choldren shortstories in mogazine ummi from the result of the researeh we can concllude that children short stories in magazine ummi heve moral, social, intelektual, and religios values. Moral values contain keeping promise end gorgeus. Intelektual values contain keping promiet the wise end gorgeus. Intelektual values contain eritical thinking. Logical thinking, engcreative thingking critical thingking is that the children consee clearly and fast the wrong things. Logical thingking is that the children can see the relationship between problems fast. Creative thingking is that the chil dren can find something new from researeh and experiment they do. Social values inelude patience, mutual assistance, sy mpaty, hospitaling andrespectfulness. Meanwhile the religious values are thanking to Allah Swt and ashing for help.

Abstract

The background of this research are the problems faced by students of class X SMA N 1 Tarusan in the ability to write a faragraph of exposition is still low, which is the main dificulty for students in writing is to find ideas and develop ideas. In writing paragraphs of exposition students are required to read  the news read with unfamiliar students will be helped to expose a knowledge or information. This study aims to (1) describe the news reading class X SMA N 1 Tarusan, (2) describe the ability to write a paragraph of exposition class X SMA N 1 Tarusan, (3) analyze the relationship reading the news with the ability to write a paragraph of exposition class X SMA N 1 Tarusan. Types of research used in this study is quantitative descriptive method. The sampling tecnique used in this study is random sampling, which is sampling besed on the population of the number of students every class. The study population class X SMA N 1 Tarusan with the sampling amounted to 64 people. File were obfained through two kinds of tests are objektive tests and performance tests. Objektive test is used collect file while the reasoning knowledge of performance test are used to gather file of exposition paragraph writing skills. The results showed that the relationship reading the news with the ability to write a paragraph of exposition class X SMA N 1 Tarusan there is a significant positive relationship. Based on file analysis and discussion, the avarage count obtained news reading class X SMA N 1 Tarusan are more than enougth in qualitying (68,67) in the range of 66-75%. Subtantial realitionship betwen the two variabels with rhitungobtained count of 0,34 wich is the result of reading the news correation with the ability to write a paragraph of exposition class X SMA N 1 Tarusan and hypotesis testing result prove that thitung > ttabelis (2,84>1,67).

Abstract

This research has the background of the problems. The first is the pengajaran menyimak only gave in theory ratherthan practice. The second is students had lack consentration in pay attention of teaching material that had been done by a teacher. The third is the books of pembelajaran menyimak were still less to support in teaching and learning process. The fourth is kemampuan menyimak mite of students was not optimal. The fifth is students were more act playfully rather than pay attention.  The sixth is students were more prefer dreaming than pay attention on learning material that had been given by teacher. The seventh is students were preferred popular story rather than old story. The eighth is there was not any media that is used, the teacher explained about theory only. The purpose of this research is to describe kemampuan menyimak mite siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Rumbai by using audio based on thema, characteristics, background, plot and finding the interesting things about charachteristic of story.This research is quantitative research by describtive design. The population of this research is the garde of X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Rumbai, the amount is 192 in six classes. The taken of sample uses proportional random sampling tehnic so that the sample has taken be 36 students. the data analysis is done by doing several steps: (1) give scors in the result of test, (2) turn scors become marks, (3) make a group of the scors toward the result of test, (4) determine avarege, (5) make the histogram based on students skill whole, (6) analyze and discuss the result, (7) conclude the result of finding.The result of research is data per indicator is as following. (1) indicator 1 indicator 1 (thema) classify Hampir Cukup (HC) by avarege 49,99, (2) indicator 2 (charachteristich) classify Lebih dari Cukup (LdC) by avarege 71,76, (3) indicator 3 (backgound) classify Hampir Cukup (HC) by avarege 49,53, (4) indicator 4 (plot) classify Baik (B) by avarege 93,52, (5) indicator 5 (the charachteristic intersting things of mite story) classify Kurang (K) by avarege 42,13. This result that can be gotten, it canbe concluded students’ Kemampuan  menyimak mite on garde of X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Rumbai by using audio media is classified Cukup (C) by avarege 62,13 genaraly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam pengungkapan ide dalam menulis teks pidato serta pemahaman terhadap ciri-ciri pidato persuasif yang belum maksimal. Penelitian ini membahas kemampuan menulis teks pidato persuasif siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 X Koto Diatas dengan media gambar berdasarkan ciri-ciri pidato persuasif, dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis teks pidato persuasif siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 X Koto Diatas dengan media gambar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Jumlah populasi dan sampel penelitian ini adalah 75 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes unjuk kerja yang kemudian diperoleh data (skor) dari hasil tes siswa, yang selanjutnya dianalisis berdasarkan teknik analisis data. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh kemampuan siswa SMA Negeri 1 X Koto Diatas dalam menulis teks pidato persuasif dengan media gambar berdasarkan ciri-ciri pidato persuasif dengan rata-rata hitung (M) nilai sebesar 80, berkualifikasi baik dengan tingkat penguasaan 76-85%.
