Abstract

Pakan merupakan aspek yang sangat penting dalam budidaya. Pentingnya efisiensi dalam produksi pakan sangat diperlukan untuk menekan biaya produksi. Salah satunya adalah penambahan probiotik Probiotik merupakan feed additive yang memiliki efek positif bagi kesehatan ikan karena dapat meningkatkan keseimbangan mikrobiota usus serta memberikan perlindungan dan perlindungan terhadap penyakit.Mengandung banyak mikroorganisme. Meningkatkan kecernaan pakan mendorong pertumbuhan dan meningkatkan kekebalan tubuh terhadap patogen tertentu. Sumber probiotik diperoleh melalui proses isolasi spesies bakteri dan karakterisasi kemudian diuji pada ikan yang diuji. Selain itu, saat memberikan probiotik pada ikan, ada dua jenis, cair dan bubuk, keduanya memiliki efek yang sama. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan probiotik ini harus diterapkan secara luas untuk meningkatkan kualitas pakan.

Abstract

Cipanas River is one river in West Java where its upstream region in Tampomas Mountain, Sumedang and it is emptied into the Java Sea, Indramayu. The study was aimed to investigate fish diversity in the downstream area of Cipanas River. The study was conducted by survey methods with census data collection techniques, taken place at 3 stations of Santing, Tempalong, and Cemara of Indramayu Regency. The parameters measured consisted water quality and fish assemblages. Water quality was measured referring to standard laboratory protocol, and fish collection was made by case net with different mesh sizes. The results showed that water quality conditions of the Cipanas River downstream was suitable for inhabiting fishes. There were as many as 548 individual fishes caught belonging to 21 species, 16 genera, and 14 families. Fish diversity was categorized as medium with 1.6 ≤ H ’≤ 2.2 indicating fairly good community structure, and the Evenness index was 0.81 ≤ E ≤ 0.86 to show highly evenly distributed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui lokasi dan waktu terjadinya thermal front pada perairan Selat Bali serta pengaruhnya terhadap penentuan daerah penangkapan ikan pelagis. Metode yang digunakan adalah Single Image Edge Detection (SIED) dengan menggunakan data Suhu Permukaan Laut (SPL) yang diakses dari satelit MODIS dengan sensor Aqua (MODIS-Aqua), lokasi penangkapan tahun 2013 sampai 2015 diperoleh dari pelabuhan perikanan Pengambengan, dan arus geostropik yang diambil dari European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). Identifikasi thermal front dari data citra raster SPL menggunakan algoritma SIED kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan pendekatan spasial dan temporal. Hasil penelitian menunjukan thermal front yang terbentuk bersifat sementara pada kisaran harian hingga mingguan dengan kekuatan lemah dan kuat. Thermal front terbentuk pada musim barat dimulai dari arah barat selatan Selat Bali. Musim peralihan 1 terbentuk di selatan Selat Bali. Masuk ke musim timur dan peralihan 2 terbentuknya thermal front berada pada sisi sebelah timur selatan Selat Bali. Thermal front banyak terbentuk pada musim barat dan musim timur dengan musim barat sebagai puncak. Thermal front tidak berpengaruh terhadap jumlah hasil tangkapan ikan pelagis di perairan Selat Bali. Pada daerah penangkapan ikan tidak selalu terbentuk thermal front, diduga karena lokasi wilayah Selat Bali yang terlalu kecil sehingga thermal front lebih banyak terbentuk di daerah selatan perairan Selat Bali. Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on the entire community in various sectors. One of the problems faced is the decline in the level of the economy. It reduces the people's purchasing power for fishery commodities. This will reduce the fulfillment of nutritional needs, especially protein. One of the skills that can be learned as an alternative business as well as to meet nutritional needs, especially protein is Budikdamber (Fish Cultivation in Buckets) which can be done on limited land at low cost. The purpose of this community service activity is to disseminate information about the meaning, method of making, and maintaining fish in buckets (budikdamber). This service is carried out through several stages, namely the preparation stage, the counseling implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. During the webinar preparation stage, the activities carried out include the division of tasks, discussions on the concept of the event, publication of webinar flyers, and rehearsals. The implementation stage is carried out by holding a webinar "Tips for Success of Budikdamber in Limited Land as a Provider of Family Food". In this activity, a video about assembling the budikdamber was also presented to the participants to make it easier to understand and can be applied later. The evaluation stage is carried out by providing an evaluation form to measure the success of the activity. The results of the webinar which was attended by approximately 130 people from various backgrounds showed that all participants were satisfied with the webinar activities carried out. This community service went well and received a positive response from the community. The community has understood the meaning, method of making, and maintaining fish through the Budikdamber method.

Abstract

Shrimp cultivation has always been a star in the world of Indonesian aquaculture and today it is still one of the national priority aquaculture commodities. The market needs of domestic and foreign shrimp cultivation can be met by the high economic value of shrimp. There are many models of cultivation designs and shrimp farming systems that have been developed and used by farmers ranging from traditional to modern. The development of cultivation technology by utilizing marginal land by using plastic as a container for cultivation maintenance is called "Busmetik" technology, relatively small container sizes between 600m2 - 1000m2 are used in order to encourage young entrepreneurs or those who are new to aquaculture. Shrimp cultivation requires large funds both in investment and operational costs in its activities so that young entrepreneurs become pessimistic in starting a shrimp farming business. The banking sector can be convinced by young entrepreneurs with Busmetik technology because it can provide mutually beneficial solutions between entrepreneurs and banks. There are several things behind this Busmetik technology, namely shrimp which is currently the main focus in the cultivation business, has a stable market, the quality of the environment continues to decline, it is difficult to manage ponds with an area of >2000m2, the types of soil used for pond plots to support the Director General of Aquaculture in the shrimp farming program.

Abstract

Sistem Akuaponik merupakan sistem saling menguntungkan antara tanaman dan ikan, sistem terintegrasi sederhana antara akuakultur dengan hidroponik dimana limbah budidaya ikan berupa sisa metabolisme dan sisa pakan dijadikan sebagai pupuk untuk tanaman. Prinsipnya, akuaponik menggunakan sistem resirkulasi dimana air yang berasal dari wadah pemeliharaan ikan akan dialirkan kembali ke dalam wadah tersebut melalui proses filtrasi. Saat ini terdapat beragam konstruksi akuaponik diantaranya deep water culture (DWC), nutrient film technique (NFT) dan media bed. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis konstruksi sistem akuaponik yang paling efektif digunakan untuk kegiatan budidaya ikan sehingga menghasilkan kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan ikan yang optimal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif eksploratif dari berbagai literatur dan hasil-hasil penelitian yang telah dipublikasikan, baik dari buku, jurnal nasional ataupun jurnal internasional. Berdasarkan perbandingan dari hasil penelitian terdahulu dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa sistem akuaponik dengan konstruksi NFT lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan konstruksi lainnya yaitu DWC dan media bed. Sistem akuaponik dengan model konstruksi NFT menghasilkan pertambahan berat pada ikan lele sebanyak 11,25 gram/ekor dengan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan lele sebesar 93%, pada ikan nila menghasilkan rata-rata tingkat kelangsungan hidup sebesar 95%, dan pada ikan muray cod menghasilkan kelangsungan hidup 100% dengan laju pertumbuhan spesifik 1,09%/hari.

Abstract

Oyster culture is an aquaculture activity that is mostly carried out in Japanese waters. While in Indonesia, oyster shells are widely consumed, but they have not been produced through the culture process but are caught on the high seas. This study aims to determine how the application of technology and transportation in the culture and sale of oyster in Japan. Based on literature studies and activities at the Kamashima-Japan company, transportation is an important part of oyster farming activities. Oyster transportation technology is currently carried out in two areas, namely sea and land, using open and closed dry transportation methods. Sea transportation uses Hydraulic Cranes for Shipboard Use (Marine Cranes) technology which is applied to special vessels measuring 6-7 GT with the classification of Truck-mounted cranes, while land transportation uses Styrofoam boxes equipped with ice blocks to immobilize the temperature. The size of the wind that blows in the sea, the time of pick-up and delivery, and the number of oyster shells required are important factors in these transportation activities.

Abstract

Fine bubbles (FBs) merupakan teknologi baru dalam sistem akuaponik yang diharapkan mampu meningkatkan produksi ikan dan tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pemberian tekanan fine bubbles (FBs) yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas air dan produktivitas kangkung dalam sistem akuaponik. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari – Maret 2022 di Green House Ciparanje Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah pemberian tekanan FBs masing-masing 0 atm (A), 5,25 atm (B), 5,5 atm (C), 5,75 atm (D). Parameter kualitas air yang diukur terdiri atas parameter fisika (suhu) dan kimia (oksigen terlarut, pH, amonia, dan nitrat). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian tekanan FBs 5,75 atm menghasilkan suhu berkisar 24,4℃ - 26,5℃, kandungan oksigen terlarut sebesar 7,83 mg, pH 6,98 – 8,07, konsentrasi amonia 0,002 mg L-1, yang berpengaruh pada pertumbuhan ikan yang baik serta konsentrasi nitrat 0,316 mg L-1 yang berpengaruh pada produktivitas tanaman yang lebih tinggi, menghasilkan pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman 128,83 cm, bobot tanaman 140,60 g, dan jumlah daun 284 helai.ABSTRACTThe fine bubbles (FBs) is a new technology in aquaponic system that is expected to improve the fish and plant productivity. This study aimed to determine the application of fine bubbles pressure in improving water quality and water spinach in an aquaponic system. The research was conducted from January to March 2022 at Ciparanje Green House, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor. This study used an experimental method of Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications. The treatments used were FBs pressure of 0 atm (A), 5.25 atm (B), 5.5 atm (C), 5.75 atm (D). The water quality parameters measured consisted of physical (temperature) and chemical (dissolved oxygen, pH, ammonia, and nitrate) parameters. The results showed that the pressure of FBs 5.75 atm generated temperatures ranging from 24.4oC - 26.5 oC, dissolved oxygen content of 7.83 mg L-1, pH 6.98 – 8.07, ammonia concentration 0.002 mg L-1 which affected on good fish growth and nitrate concentration 0.316 mg L-1 which affected higher plant productivity, resulting plant height of 128.83 cm, a plant weight of 140.60 g, and the number of leaves of 284 leaves.

Abstract

Pengolahan sampah merupakan wujud dari tindak lanjut dari permasalahan yang timbul dari sampah dan dapat menghasilkan produk yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat. Produk yang dihasilkan ini dapat mempermudah pekerjaan manusia dan dapat menjadi salah satu sumber pendapatan. Untuk pengolahan limbah organik sendiri dapat menghasilkan beberapa produk seperti biogas, pupuk organik, dan maggot. Dari hasil pengolahan limbah organik menjadi maggot dapat digunakan sebagai produk pakan ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi dan pengaplikasian masyarakat Desa Gudang, Kecamatan Tanjungsari dalam mengolah limbah organik menjadi komoditas bermanfaat. Metode yang digunakan dalam mengolah data pada penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif berupa pengumpulan data dengan kuesioner. Berdasarkan data kuesioner yaitu sebanyak 30 responden yang telah berpartisipasi, mayoritas responden mengetahui apa itu limbah organik yang ditandai dengan diketahuinya pengertian, contoh, manfaat, dampak, pengolahan sampah, dan minat terhadap pengolahan sampah, tetapi pengolahan limbah organik yang dilakukan masyarakat Desa Gudang, Kecamatan Tanjungsari belum banyak dilakukan secara mandiri, dan lebih berminat untuk mengolah limbah organik menjadi pupuk kompos daripada produk lainnya karena dinilai lebih mudah dan lebih umum dibandingkan dengan produk lainnya.

Abstract

Carp (Cyprinus carpio) is a widely cultivated consumable fish because of its high demand. This fieldwork practice aims to find out specifically about the hatchery techniques of carp. This fieldwork practice activity will be held on June 27-July 27, 2022 at the UPTD Balai Benih Ikan Cimaja Sukabumi. The data collection methods used are active participation, observation, and interviews. The data analysis used is descriptive. Carp hatchery activities start with brood rearing, selection of mature gonad broodstock, spawning, nursery, and water quality management. Spawning of carp is carried out naturally using 30 males and 6 females. The sex ratio of females and males was 5:1. The results of the number of fertilized eggs are around 70,535 eggs with a fertilization rate of 73.45%. The number of eggs that hatched was about 57,831 with a hatching rate of 81.98%. The number of seeds at the end of rearing was 40,521 seeds with a carp seed survival rate of 70.07%.
