Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of destination image and digital promotion strategies on tourists' interest in visiting tourist attractions in Pangururan District, Samosir Regency. Destination image refers to tourists' perspectives regarding the attractions, facilities, and uniqueness of the place. On the other hand, digital promotion is a marketing method carried out through online platforms to attract tourists' attention. These two factors are very important in increasing tourist interest in visiting. The method used in this study is quantitative by conducting a survey. Questionnaires were distributed to 100 respondents taken by accidental sampling technique. To analyze the data, instrument testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing were carried out. The results of the partial test (t-test) showed that destination image had a t-value of 7.957 which was more than 1.66 and a significance of 0.000 which was less than 0.05. In addition, digital promotion showed a t-value of 7.650 which was also more than 1.66 and a significance of 0.000 which was still below 0.05. In the simultaneous test (F test), the calculated F value was 21.461, which was greater than 3.09 with a significance of 0.000, which was less than 0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality and facilities on tourist satisfaction at Lumbini Berastagi Nature Park, both partially and simultaneously. Lumbini Nature Park is a leading natural and religious tourism destination in Karo Regency that offers the beauty of pagoda architecture and a spiritual atmosphere. Along with the increase in tourist visits to the Berastagi area, understanding the factors that drive visitor satisfaction is crucial for the sustainability of destination management. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a sample of 96 respondents determined using the Lemeshow formula. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis tests (t-test and F-test) using SPSS 27 software. The results showed that service quality (X_1) has a positive and significant effect on tourist satisfaction (Y) with a t_{count} value of 2.992 > t_{table} 1.985. Likewise, the facility variable (X_2) has a positive and significant effect with a t_{count} value of 5.966 > t_{table} 1.985. Simultaneously, both variables have a significant effect with an F_{count} value of 21.466 > F_{table} 3.09 and a significance level of 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R^2) value of 30.1% indicates the contribution of the independent variables in explaining tourist satisfaction, while the rest is explained by other factors outside this study. This study recommends that managers prioritize facility maintenance as the most dominant factor in influencing visitor satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and explain the effect of digital marketing on tourists' intention to visit tourist destinations in Balige District, Toba Regency. The independent variables in this study include content quality, engagement, ease of access to information, and electronic word of mouth (e-WOM), while the dependent variable is tourists' intention to visit. The study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 96 respondents who were tourists or potential tourists who obtained information about Balige tourist destinations through digital media. The data analysis techniques used included validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, partial tests (t-tests), simultaneous tests (F-tests), and coefficient of determination tests (R²). The results showed that, partially, content quality, engagement, ease of access to information, and e-WOM had a positive and significant effect on tourists' intention to visit. Simultaneously, the four digital marketing variables were also proven to have a significant effect on tourists' intention to visit the Balige District tourist destination. The coefficient of determination value shows that digital marketing variables are able to explain most of the variation in tourist visitation intent, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside the research model. These findings confirm that optimizing digital marketing strategies through the presentation of informative and credible content, increasing audience interaction and engagement, ease of access to information, and strengthening positive reviews in digital media are strategic factors in increasing tourist visitation intent.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Medan City Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2022 on Spatial Planning in the development of the H.M. Yamin Underpass infrastructure and its implications for transportation accessibility in Medan Timur District, Medan City. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis applies the policy implementation theory of George C. Edward III, which includes communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The results indicate that the implementation of the spatial planning regulation, as evidenced by the development of the H.M. Yamin Underpass, has improved traffic flow and community mobility. However, the implementation has not been fully optimal due to challenges in inter-agency coordination and policy communication with the community. The development of the underpass has improved transportation accessibility in Medan Timur, although further integration with the urban transportation system in Medan City is still required.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategies used by frontliners in handling public complaints and how these strategies contribute to improving the quality of public services at the Medan Timur District Office. Quality public service is an important indicator in the implementation of government administration, especially at the district level which directly interacts with the community. In the administrative service process, public complaints often arise due to a lack of understanding of service procedures, delays in document processing, and limitations in service facilities. Therefore, the role of frontliners as officers who directly interact with the community becomes very important in handling these complaints. This research uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation involving informants consisting of frontliner officers and members of the public who received services at the Medan Timur District Office. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the strategies used by frontliners in handling public complaints include receiving and listening to complaints directly, providing explanations regarding service procedures, checking the completeness of required documents, and coordinating with supervisors when problems cannot be resolved directly. These strategies help the public better understand the service procedures and create good communication between service officers and the community. Therefore, the complaint handling strategies implemented by frontliners play an important role in improving the quality of public services at the Medan Timur District Office.
