Abstract

A qualitative research was conducted to analyze values of local wisdom of Pekandanganculture in Kuantan Singingi Regency. This study is a qualitative research. Data are collectedthrough observation, documentation, and dept interview with the key informans including thechief Pekandangan Kerbau and society leader. The result of this study shows the following :The culture Pekandangan Kerbau contains the values local traditions or local wisdom are : (1)there are mudhole in perkandangan area (2) insect bite protection (3) there are protector treesin perkandangan area, (4) as the use of half dried log (mati koro), (5) the use of hard wood,buffaloes’ dirt for firewood; (6) the knowledge of hungry buffalo, (7) the consumtion of thehealth traditional food and (8) Mandawai is community working together (gotong royong). Thelocal wisdom is useful for the environment base development

Abstract

Abstract: Young generation have to know and understand their own characters. However, in fact, many of them have not known what kind of characters that they have. Characters must be built to be a human that has characteristics. Hence, the material services need to be develop to be a material for students’ character building that expected to be used by guidance and counseling teachers to be taught to the students. This study aims at (1) to arrange the material for students’ character building based on the clarity, the systematic, the supporting pictures, the instruments, the novelty of material, and the supporting of game and video, (2) to know the result of the students’ character building quality. The material is arranged by using research and development method, then it is experimented to the students with the time allocated is 4 lesson hours (4x40’). This material is validated by first and second guidance lectures, guidance and counseling teacher, 38 students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2, Pekanbaru. The material consists of the definition and the method of character building. The result of the material development shows that the quality of the material is in the “Very Good” category with the score 4,26 for the whole aspects of assessment.Keywords: Guidance and Counseling, Character Building, Senior High School

Abstract

Abstract:The causes of aggressive behavior done by students are complicated,however, it can be divided into two groups, namely, internal and external causes such as anger,frustration, environment, violent model of learning process, erroneously discipline process. Theboth factors cause inhibiting in the development of students’ emotional and social aspects. Theinhibiting in the development of students’ emotional and social aspects is showed by doingaggressive behavior. It influences the development of students’ emotion and behavior at school.The aim of this study is to obtain the impact of group guidance and counseling services to thedecreasing of the aggressive behavior of students grade XI AK/ADP SMK Telkom Pekanbaru,academic year 2015/2016. This study was carried out at SMK Telkom Pekanbaru fromFebruary 2016 to May 2016. The method used in this study is experimental method by using thepattern of pretest and post test control group design. The subject of this study is the studentswho undergo the problems of the high aggressive behaviors. The technique of data analysisuses three formula, namely Wilcoxon Experiment, Spearman Rank Experiment and ManWhitney Experiment. Based on the hypothesis experiment by applying SPSS 16.0, it is obtainedthat the value of sig. (2-tailed) is 0.025. Due to the fact that the value of sig. (2-tailed) fewerthan the α value (0.025 < 0.05) thus it can be concluded that There is positive impact thatsignificant in giving group counseling services in the decreasing of students’ aggressivebehavior give medium contribution, that is 48,5 %.Keywords: group guidance services, aggressive behavior

Abstract

Abstract:The purpose of this research is to know the quality picture of the parent's interaction with the child, to know the description of the interaction of the child with peers and to know the relation of the quality of the parent-child interaction with peer interaction in vocational highschool Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. Technique of taking data in this research using questionnaire method, to collect data of parent interaction with child and child interaction with peer. Research subjects were all students of grade X vocational highschool Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru which amounted to 370 students, but researchers only take 50% of students grade X. Determination of the sample by using random sampling technique. Data analysis was done by using percentage technique and Pearson product moment correlation. Where researchers choose grade X students due to the results of the phenomenon in the field. The results showed that the interaction of parents with children is in good category that is equal to 49.19% and interaction of children with peers are in good category that is equal to 81,08%. There is a positive relationship between parent-child interactions with peer interactions. This is evidenced by the correlation value of 0.709 and the value of p = 0.00.Key Words: Parent-Child Interaction, Child's Interaction With Peers.

Abstract

Abstract: Aggressive behavior is a behavior intended to hurt other people both physically and verbally in order to hurt others. Aggressive behavior can be demonstrated through various forms of behavior, such as attacking other people (hitting, slapping, kicking, biting), threatening physically or verbally, harassing others (mocking, shouting, saying rude), anger (irritability, revenge), feeling of entrepreneurship (bad prejudice, jealousy) being impolite and compelling to possess other people's things that are not his. One way to overcome aggressive behavior is to use self control techniques. The purpose of this study was to describe the aggressive behavior of students before and after being given the technique of self control through group guidance, to determine differences in aggressive behavior of students before and after self control techniques through group guidance and to determine the effect of self control techniques through group guidance to overcome behavior aggressive students. This research is an experimental quantitative research with one group pre-test post-test approach. The subjects in this study were 7 students taken by purposive sampling technique with questionnaire results. The results showed that: (1) The aggressive behavior of students before being given the technique of self control was in the high category, the aggressive behavior of students after being given the technique of self control was mostly in the low category. (2) There is a significant difference between the aggressive behavior of students before and after being given the technique of self control. (3) There is a significant effect of the technique of self control on students' aggressive behavior.Key Words: Self Control, Aggressive Behavior, Group Guidance

Abstract

Abstract: The research is aimed at 1) finding out the male and female students' personal problems; 2) finding out the male and female students' emotional problems; 3) finding out the male and female students’ learning problems; 4) finding out the male and female students' familial problems; 5) finding out the male and female students' social problems; 6) finding out the overall problems faced by male and female students; 7) finding out the most dominant category of students' problems in general. The subjects of the research are 200 11th and 12th grade students of Kuok State Islamic Senior High School. The sampling technique is the total one, therefore the entire population were taken as samples. There are no greater written subjects or groups because entire individuals in a group are involved directly, hereafter this kind of sampling technique is called total sampling (Ibnu Jahar, 1999). The research results showed that: 1) more female students experienced personal problems than male students. While, the personal problems experienced by male students were emotional ones; 2) more male students experienced emotional problems than female students, in other words female students experienced less emotional problems; 3) more male students experienced learning problems than female students, in other words female students experienced less learning problems; 4) more male students experienced social problems than female students in other words female students experienced less social problems; 5) more male students experienced familial problems than female students in other words female students experienced less familial problems; 6) in general, male and female students experienced more personal and social problems. The personal problems experienced by male and female students caused their difficult learning concentration; 7) the problems experienced by students were generally categorized moderate.Keywords: Students’ problems

Abstract

Abstract : Problems experienced by students in the implementation of education in schools influenced by factors in and outside himself. One of the problems that hinder the process in learning is the low self-confidence of students. In this regard schools play an important role in improving students' self-confidence. But so far the school has not shown any effort to handle it. Therefore it is necessary to develop a material about Student Self Confidence that is expected to be used by guidance and counseling teachers to be submitted to students. This material is prepared using research and development (R & D) methods. The purpose of this study is 1) The creation of Student Self Confidence material in terms of clarity, systematics, image support, update and completeness of the material and support games / video 2) To know the quality of material produced. This material is validated by the lecturers 1 & 2, teachers Counseling Guidance and 38 students SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru. This material is tested to students with allocation time 3 hours lesson (3 x 45 '). The results of this material development show the quality of the material produced is in the category of "Very Good", with a score of 4.35 for all aspects of the assessment.Keywords: Modul Of Guidance and Counseling, Self Confidence.

Abstract

Abstract: The background of research is sadly the world of education as a result of uncontrolled emotions student so with unimportant things students has done a commendable behavior. The purpose of this research is to know the level of emotional intelligence of students in school. Furthermore to know the difference in students emotional intelligence at school before and after the dhuha prayer direction. So from the difference, can know the impact of dhuha prayer direction to students' emotional intelligence in school. This research method uses Experimental Research is Pre-Experimental Designs with The One Group Pretest-Posttest. The subject of this research is 11 students selected through the pretest. Data processing has been done can be concluded is The students emotional intelligence before the direction of dhuha prayer was eleven students in the medium category. Then after given the direction of praying dhuha there are two students in the medium category, and nine students in the high category. After being given the direction to Dhuha prayer there are differences in emotional intelligence of students. The direction of praying dhuha provides a significant positive effect on students' emotional intelligence.Key Words: Emotional Intelligence, Direction of Dhuha Prayer

Abstract

Abstract: The social behavior paradigm focuses more on individual relationships with social and non-social environments. Social behavior can grow in the child through interactions that are intertwined with the social environment. A student who is able to socialize well to his environment will be able to place himself in behaving within a social group. Because there are still students who have not been able to put and show social behavior well then in this study felt the need to see the picture of social behavior of students. The purpose of this study is to find out the description of social behavior with peers in terms of ethnicity and gender in role behavior, social relations and expressive behavior. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. Data collection techniques used questionnaires. To analyze data using percentage technique. The sample in this study amounted to 396 students. The results showed the role of ethnic behavior of Java is better than the ethnic Malay, Minang and Batak. While social relations and expressive behavior of ethnic Batak better than ethnic Java, Malay and Minang. As for gender, female role behavior is better than men, in male social relations is better than women, and in expressive behavior of women is better than men.Keywords : Social Behavior, Peers, Ethnicity, Gender

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru. This research entitled "Profile of Positive and Negative Impact of Handphone Usage on Class X Student in SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru". The purpose of this research is to know the picture of positive and negative impacts of handphone usage on learners. Data collection tools include systematic non-participatory observation and open interviews. Subjects used in this study amounted to five people. Consideration or basic researcher to take the subject of the students who use the phone with the duration of time ranging from 17 to 19 hours in 24 hours, while at school and at home. This is based on assessments from researchers, from BK teachers and from the assessment of subject friends at school. Analysis of data that researchers do is qualitative which is described with words or sentences separated by category to draw conclusions. Research conducted found that the positive impact of the use of mobile phones by learners is easier to communicate, improve social fabric and relieve stress. The negative impact of the use of mobile phones by learners is to make students lazy to learn, interfere with the concentration of student learning, forget the duties and obligations, disrupt the development of children, potentially affecting attitudes and behavior, and waste.Keywords: Impact, Handphone Usage, Student
