Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kreativitas mahasiswa calon guru SD melalui pembelajaran IPA bervisi SETS berbantuan Alat Peraga Sederhana (APS). Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar FKIP UPY kelas A7-17 sebanyak 38 orang mahasiswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah kreativitas mahasiswa selama kegiatan perkuliahan IPA 2. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan dokumentasi, sementara analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kreativitas mahasiswa melalui pembelajaran bervisi SETS berbantuan alat peraga sederhana juga mangalami peningkatan dari pra siklus sebesar 54% meningkat menjadi 67% pada siklus satu dan meningkat menjadi 91% pada siklus dua dengan kategori tinggi. Sedangkan jika dari keenam indicator kreativitas mahasiswa pada pra siklus memiliki rata rata 2,23 meningkat menjadi 2,48 pada siklus 1 dan meningkat menjadi 3,2 pada siklus 2. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan indicator kreativitas mahasiswa telah mencapai 80,83 % yang termasuk pada kriteria tinggi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop the scientific character of science learning laden with props thrift and performance assessment. This type of research is research and development. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires, observation and tests. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis percentage. The results showed that the validity of the learning pernagkat validity of the development value (Va) 4.23 which is the valid criterion (4 ≤ Va <5). Scientific character within students in science learning laden scientific character with props used items that are in good category where the average percentage of scientific character on each Class of> 70%. The average percentage of student activity is in the good category that is> 70%. Cognitive abilities of students in the class A1 of 84.44% cognitive ability and very good 13.33% of the students in the category fairly and 2.22% of students are in the poor category. In the A2 grade of 80.43% of the students have the cognitive ability and very good and the rest have the cognitive abilities in the category enough. In the A3 grade of 89.13% of the students have the cognitive ability and very good as well as the A4 grade of 93.33% of the students have the cognitive ability and very good san rest have sufficient cognitive ability.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to develop a science thematic model of science, environment, technology and its validity so that it can be used to improve the literacy of science of elementary school students. This was a research and development. The data collected in this research consisted of model validity data, students’ science literacy, students’ activity, students’ and teachers’ response to the developed learning model. The data collection techniques used was questionnaires, observations and tests. The data were analyzed by descriptive analysis. The result of the research showed that the developed thematic learning model of science, environment, technology and societies got an average score of 4.11 falling into the valid category. The ability of science literacy increased from the previous 41.71 at a very low level (<54) to 62.91 at a moderate level (60-75). The average score of student activity during the learning was in a good category. Students’ and teachers’ responses to the developed learning model were positive.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of knowledge, attitudes, and practice of teachers in disaster education in elementary schools. This study uses questionnaires distributed to teachers in disaster-prone schools. The data taken are age, gender, subjects taught, recent education, experience in disaster education training, knowledge level, attitude, and practice of disaster education. Respondents who have a good knowledge level are 51.5%, enough knowledge level is 39.4%, and less knowledge level is 9.1%. As many as 98.9% of respondents have a positive attitude and 1.1% have a negative attitude. There are 90.9% of respondents have ever taught and 9.1% have never taught disaster education. This study concludes that teachers of Elementary in disaster-prone schools generally have good knowledge of disaster education, agree that disaster education becomes part of the curriculum, and have taught disaster education to students.

Abstract

Kurangnya motivasi dan hasil dari mahasiswa dalam mempelajari mata kuliah IPA dapat diperhatikan dari nilai yang tergolong masih rendah dari soal yang diberikan. Selain itu mahasiswa juga cenderung diam dalam pembelajaran tidak adanya komunikasi balik seperti bertanya atau menjelaskan apa kesulitan yang dimiliki dalam materi yang diberikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis motivasi belajar dan hasil pembelajaran IPA dari mahasiswa PGSD. Metode yang di gunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Quasi eksperimen dengan teknik analisis MANOVA. Pada penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas kontrol dan eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa Kelas A8 Semester 2 angkatan 2021/2022. Untuk pengambilan data menggunakan test yang di sebarkan sesuai dengan tujuannya kelas kontrol dan eksperimen yang di pisahkan. Metode yang dipergunakan dalam menganalisis data adalah uji prasyarat analisis dengan melakukan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Kemudian untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian dengan menggunakan Uji Manova Multivariat Analisis of Variance. Hasil dari penelitian ini menemukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan motivasi belajar IPA setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran jigsaw terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa. Sehingga dapat di simpulkan bahwa motivasi dan hasil belajar mahasiswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran jigsaw sangat signifikan.

Abstract

Problems in education have always been an essential issue in every country, including Indonesia. Almost all Indonesian students only master the lessons up to level 3 only. Meanwhile, many students from developed and developing countries have mastered lessons up to 4, 5, and even 6. The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences in High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) between the groups given the Trikaya Parisudha Learning Model (MPTP) and those given the Conventional Learning Model. (MPK). This research is a quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. The research population is PGSD students in 7 classes. From the 7 classes, 4 classes were selected using random cluster sampling two classes as the experimental group and the other two classes as the control group. MPTP taught the experimental group. Meanwhile, the control group was taught with MPK. The methods used to collect data are observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The instrument used to collect data is the observation sheet. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed differences in student HOTS between the group given MPTP and the group given MPK. There is a difference in Critical Thinking Skills between the group given MPTP and the group given MPK. There are differences in Creative Thinking Skills between the group receiving MPTP and the group receiving MPK. It can be concluded that the Trikaya Parisudha Learning Model can improve students' higher order thinking.

Abstract

This research is motivated by students' literacy and resilience to disasters, which are still relatively low. This study aims to analyze the impact of the SETS-based disaster learning model on disaster literacy and resilience of grade V elementary school students. The method used in this research is a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. Literacy and resilience were collected by giving fifth-grade elementary school students questionnaires. The subjects involved consisted of 2 experimental classes totaling 74 students and 2 control classes totaling 88 students. The data collection technique used the questionnaire method, with the instrument tested for validation and instrument reliability. The data collection is the questionnaire method, with instruments tested for validation and reliability. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing, namely, the multivariate analysis of variance (Manova). The results showed that there was a significant difference in disaster literacy and resilience between students who studied using the SETS-based disaster learning model and students who studied with conventional learning models, so it can be concluded that the SETS-based disaster learning model has a positive impact on disaster literacy and resilience of grade fifth elementary school students.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of SETS-based science learning assisted by IT-based media in increasing elementary school students' scientific literacy and digital literacy. This research method is an experimental nonequivalent control group design type. The subjects of this research were 50 grade V elementary school students divided into experimental classes and control classes. Data collection techniques in this research used observation sheets, questionnaires and test questions. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive percentages, difference tests (t-test) and increase tests (N-gain). The research results showed that the average mastery of scientific literacy aspects in the experimental class was 94.57% and in the control class it was 61.70%. Meanwhile, mastery of digital literacy aspects in the experimental class was 91.45% and in the control class it was 65.40%. Meanwhile, in the t test, the results of the post test obtained a value of t = 5.476 > t table = 1.998 and (p) count = 0 < 0.05, which means that there is a significant difference in learning achievement scores between the experimental group that used the product developed and the control group. . The results of the N gain test showed that the control group had an increase in the medium criteria (0.46) and the experimental group had an increase in the high criteria (0.74). Based on this, it can be concluded that SETS-based science learning assisted by IT-based media is effective and has a positive impact on elementary school students' mastery of scientific literacy and digital literacy.

Abstract

The low scientific literacy of elementary school students, influenced by conventional teaching methods and lack of interactivity, necessitates innovation through digital technology. This study aims to test the effectiveness of digital technology as a strategy to enhance scientific literacy using a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects consisted of 60 fifth-grade students from two elementary schools (30 students in the experimental group and 30 in the control group). The experimental group received science instruction integrating digital tools such as virtual laboratories (Labster) and educational applications (Quizizz) over 8 weeks, while the control group used conventional methods. Research instruments included a scientific literacy test (HOTS-based questions) and student activity observation sheets. Data were analyzed quantitatively using t-test and ANOVA to compare improvements in scientific literacy scores between the groups. Results showed that the experimental group achieved a significant increase in scientific literacy scores (N-Gain 0.72) compared to the control group (N-Gain 0.32). The study concludes that systematic integration of digital technology effectively enhances elementary students' scientific literacy.

Abstract

Pendidikan kebencanaan menjadi aspek penting dalam membangun kesiapsiagaan sejak dini, khususnya di tingkat sekolah dasar. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan mendampingi guru-guru SD dalam mengintegrasikan materi pendidikan bencana ke dalam Kurikulum Merdeka. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan, pendampingan intensif, dan pembuatan modul ajar berbasis projek. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman guru sebesar 85% tentang konsep dasar mitigasi bencana, serta peningkatan keterampilan dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis bencana sebesar 78%, berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test yang diikuti oleh 30 guru dari 5 sekolah dasar. Pendampingan ini diharapkan memperkuat kapasitas sekolah dasar dalam membangun budaya sadar bencana.
