Abstract

Students' awareness in conserving medicinal plants and the environment is still the focus of discussion among educators. Especially in students at vocational school levels who do not receive comprehensive Biology learning. The purpose of this study was to measure students' attitudes in conserving medicinal plants and the environment. The research method used is descriptive method with survey techniques. The study was conducted in March-April 2019 at Cipanas State 1 Vocational High School, Cianjur, West Java, Indonesia. The sample used was selected by simple random sampling, obtained as many as 104 students divided into 44 male and 60 female students. The results showed that the average score of students' attitudes was 76.47. The indicator with the highest score is related to the program of planting medicinal plants in the home yard. While the lowest indicators relate to conservation policies for medicinal plants and the environment. This is because the information received by students in terms of conservation policy is still need to be improve. The conclusion of this study is that the scores of student attitudes regarding the conservation of medicinal plants and the environment are good, but in some indicators still need to be improved.DOI: doi.org/10.24071/ijiet.2019.030202

Abstract

Medicinal plants were contextual to study during Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). The purpose of this study was to measure Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOTS) and Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of medicinal plants and analyze the relevance of science learning during new normal COVID-19. The research method used descriptive quantitative with survey techniques carried out in 2019 and 2020. The instrument used 12 items test questions with a sample of 104 vocational students. The results showed that the students' LOTS of scores were higher (2.32) than students’ HOTS (1.69). The analysis showed that the topic of medicinal plants and the relevant environment during the new normal period of COVID-19. The conclusion from this study that the LOTS score was higher than HOTS and knowledge of medicinal plants became relevant during the new normal COVID-19.

Abstract

Budaya sekolah dipandang sebagai variabel vital dalam membangun iklim sekolah yang lebih kondusif. Kemungkinan faktor ini akan mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja guru biologi dan akhirnya mempengaruhi tugas kinerja guru adalah masalah penelitian ini. Survei kausal yang digunakan dengan memilih 90 SMA secara acak dan guru biologi sebagai sampel. Ada tiga instrumen yang dikembangkan untuk mengukur yaitu kinerja, budaya sekolah dan kepuasan kerja yang telah divalidasi. Data dianalisis melalui regresi, korelasi dan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja guru dipengaruhi secara langsung dan signifikan oleh sekolah budaya dan kepuasan kerja, dan berdasarkan temuan ini, kepuasan kerja adalah variabel mediasi yang baik dalam menghubungkan budaya sekolah dan kinerja tugas guru. Itu adalah temuan yang logis ketika guru berprestasi diharapkan lebih positif, semua guru, terutama guru biologi, membutuhkan suasana yang positif yang tercermin dari budaya sekolah dan juga sejauh mana guru merasa puas diperlakukan oleh sistem sekolah. Oleh karena itu, pengambil kebijakan pendidikan harus lebih memperhatikan bagaimana meningkatkan budaya sekolah agar lebih kondusif, guru merasa lebih puas kemudian akan berdampak pada kualitas sekolah yang dicerminkan oleh kinerja guru.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal konsep bilangan pada anak usia dini dengan media apron berhitung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu. Desain eksperimen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah non-equivalent control group design. Sampel subyek adalah kelompok B yang terdiri dari 30 anak PAUD Al Hidayah, 15 anak dari kelompok B1 dan 15 anak dari kelompok B2. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, dokumentasi, dan anecdotal note-taking. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen lembar observasi. Kemudian menganalisis data dengan menghitung uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney. Nilai posttest untuk kelompok eksperimen adalah 15,33 dan kelompok kontrol adalah 10,73. Hasil post-test kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen PAUD Al Hidayah memiliki nilai 0,000. Jika nilai yang dilaporkan kurang dari 0,05, ada perbedaan antara kontrol dan hasil posterior eksperimental. Berdasarkan analisis data dapat dikatakan bahwa Paud al-Hidayah kelompok B dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal konsep bilangan dengan menggunakan media apron aritmatika.

Abstract

Kemampuan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan dari soal cerita matematika merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang harus dimiliki siswa. Namun, hal ini terjadi sebaliknya banyak siswa yang belum memiliki keterampilan untuk menyelesaikan soal cerita. Penilitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesulitan siswa dalam mengerjakan soal cerita matematika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian kali ini yaitu metode Problem Based Learning (PBL). Abstract

Drug abuse (Narcotics, Psychotropics and Addictive Substances) is like an iceberg that never reaches the root of the problem. It is as if this case was not handled properly because cases are always discovered from year to year. In fact, efforts have been made by related elements to combat this case, assisted by several elements who have a role in prevention. However, the results of the efforts of the government and related parties will never be seen if they are not supported by community efforts. Therefore, the Bina Bangsa University student work study team (KKM) initiated community service activities in the form of education about the negative impacts of drug use on teenagers. It is hoped that after this activity, teenagers' knowledge of NAPZA will increase. Not only does knowledge increase but awareness of the effects of drug use deters teenagers and makes them reluctant to approach these prohibited substances. From the results of the activities, it can be seen that there has been an increase in the knowledge of teenagers who took part in counseling activities. It is hoped that after increasing knowledge, these teenagers will become anti-drug campaign agents in the community.

Abstract

The use of technology in education is currently an important indicator in efforts to improve the quality of learning in early childhood (PAUD), especially in influencing the optimization of children's growth and development. This study aims to determine the impact of digital literacy on PAUD educators according to four indicators, namely access, selection, understanding, and dissemination of information. This research is a descriptive research using quantitative methods. The population includes all PAUD teachers from 8 institutions in Saketi District, totaling 30 people. The sampling technique uses a population sampling technique that includes all PAUD teachers in the Saketi sub-district. The results of the research data analysis show that the average value of digital literacy educators in PAUD is in the proper category. Therefore, the digital literacy of PAUD educators needs to be improved so that they can make better use of digital devices in their learning, in order to optimize children's growth and development

Abstract

Community service at the Disabled Foundation aims to improve the skills, knowledge and independence of people with disabilities through methods of learning simulation and mentoring. This program is designed to provide interactive, simulation-based training that allows participants to learn practical skills and relevant knowledge in an applicable way. This simulation adapts real-world situations so that participants can practice and understand the skills needed in everyday life and the work environment. Apart from that, this program also provides personal support through methods of mentoring, which connects participants with experienced mentors. Mentors will provide guidance, motivation and emotional support to help participants overcome personal and professional challenges and achieve their goals. With this guidance, it is hoped that participants can increase their self-confidence and achieve better independence. The main goal of this program is to strengthen the connectedness and involvement of people with disabilities in the community. By involving people with disabilities in training simulations and providing access to mentors who understand their needs, this program aims to increase the sense of inclusion and social participation among people with disabilities, as well as improve the quality of life disabled people overall. It is hoped that this program can become an effective model for skill development and community support for people with disabilities in the future.
