Abstract

Diarrhea is an infectious disease caused by complex environmental conditions and is experienced by every country in the world. Diarrhea is an endemic disease that can become an Extraordinary Event (KLB) in Indonesia which often causes death. This study analyzed the relationship of clean water quality to the incidence of diarrhea. The method of analysis used was literature review. This study used 15 journals taken from the last 5 years with Google Scholar and PubMed data sources. The implementation of the study began in April-May 2025. Based on the literature review, it was found that there is a significant relationship between clean water sources and the level of diarrhea cases in the community. This indicates that E. coli contamination of consumed water increases the likelihood of diarrhea, especially in children under five. The results of this study are expected to provide an overview of how the government and health workers control diarrhea cases in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to elaborate on the pattern of additional food as a risk factor for stunting in toddlers at the Pasar Prabumulih Health Center in 2023. Stunting is a condition where a child's height is shorter than the height of other children of the same age. Factors that can influence stunting include unhealthy eating patterns, low birth weight (LBW), lack of breastfeeding, due to infectious diseases during infancy, and failure to achieve perfect growth improvement in the following period. This study uses a case-control study approach with an analytical observational research design. Cases are toddlers diagnosed with stunting and controls are toddlers diagnosed as normal. The data collection technique uses primary data obtained directly from the research site by means of observation and interviews using questionnaires. Data were analyzed using binary logistic regression tests. The results of the analysis showed that there was no relationship between exclusive breastfeeding, parental education level, parental knowledge, and history of infectious diseases with stunting, but additional food patterns were related to stunting. The final multivariate model showed that only additional food patterns affected stunting.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the factors influencing compliance with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) among construction workers through a literature review. Despite its importance, non-compliance with PPE usage remains a persistent issue. This research utilized a qualitative descriptive method and was conducted from January to April 2025. A total of 15 relevant articles published between 2020 and 2025 were reviewed. These articles were obtained from various reputable national and international databases, including Google Scholar, PubMed, and ScienceDirect. The analysis revealed two primary categories of factors affecting PPE compliance: internal and external. Among these, knowledge and attitude were found to be the most dominant contributors to PPE compliance. These findings suggest that improving PPE usage among construction workers requires a multifaceted approach. Recommended strategies include strengthening workers’ knowledge through continuous education, conducting regular safety training, ensuring the availability and ergonomic design of PPE, and fostering a safety-oriented workplace culture supported by active supervision and peer encouragement. The study contributes to the understanding of behavioral on PPE use and provides insight.

Abstract

The dangers of smoking remain a critical issue, with e-cigarette (vape) use rising among Gen Z, often perceived as safer than traditional cigarettes. This study aims to evaluate the factors influencing e-cigarette use among Generation Z and its impacts. Utilizing literature reviews from journals published in the last five years via Google Scholar and PubMate, the research was conducted from March to April 2025. Findings indicate that adolescent behavior is shaped by internal factors like knowledge, confidence, and gender, as well as external factors including parental support, peer influence, and accessibility. To combat the rising e-cigarette use, prevention and promotion efforts are crucial, focusing on education about health risks and strengthening social roles. Ultimately, the goal is to enhance Generation Z's awareness of the risks associated with e-cigarettes.
