Abstract

This study was intended to determine the effect of the presence of tutors in the learning video on cognitive load and academic achievement. The design used in this study was the posttest control group design. The subjects of this study were 30 students of eleventh-grade science of senior high school number 1 Ungaran. The measurements of the data were carried out using cognitive load questionnaires, eye-tracking measurements, and biological matter of reproductive materials (prior knowledge and posttest teaching). The result of analysis using the Multivariate analysis of variance test showed that the presence of tutors in the learning video did not have a significant effect on extraneous load (F(2.27)=2.6, p>0.05), the presence of tutors in the learning video did not have a significant effect on germane load in the subjective measurements (F(2.27)=0.06, p>0.05), however, the presence of tutors in the learning video has a significant effect on the objective measurements (F(2.27)=24.47, p<0.05) and (F(2.27)=28.14, p<0.05). Furthermore, the presence of tutors in the learning video has a significant effect on academic achievement with (F(2.27)=3.38, p<0.05). The findings of this study proved that there were effects of the presence of tutor in the learning video on germane load and academic achievement.

Abstract

Nowadays social responsibility is significant to investigate. It is because in the academic world there are a number of students having low social responsibility. This behavior is realized by unfair actions in groups, bullying or intimidation practice. Concerning this phenomenon, the current study aimed at analyzing the prediction of students’ social responsibility from the perspective of moral disengagement and incivility. This correlational study involved 636 students with a portion of 49.5% of male students and 50.5% of female students. They were selected using cluster sampling from two junior high schools in Central Java. After that, these students were asked to fill in a moral disengagement scale, and classroom incivility scale. The results showed that moral disengagement and incivility significantly predicted social responsibility (R=0.336, R2=0.113, F=6.079, and P<0.01). Specifically, the findings of this study confirmed that the aspects of Moral Justification and Dehumanization, as well as intentional incivility, predict students’ social responsibility.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku prososial, empati, dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya, serta kontribusi empati dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya terhadap perilaku prososial siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex post facto dengan 330 responden yang diperoleh menggunakan area random sampling. Angket perilaku prososial, skala empati, dan skala dukungan sosial teman sebaya digunakan dalam pengumpulan data dengan reliabilitas 0,737, 0,703, dan 0,733. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa siswa SMP Negeri di Sub Rayon 3 Kabupaten Banyumas mempunyai perilaku prososial yang tergolong tinggi (76%), empati yang tergolong cukup tinggi (59%), dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya yang tergolong cukup tinggi (63%). Kemudian hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada kontribusi empati dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya terhadap perilaku prososial siswa (F(8,329)=30,482, p<0,05) sebesar 47,2% terdiri dari 36,6% untuk empati dan 6,6% untuk dukungan soail teman sebaya, sedangkan sisanya diprediksikan disumbangkan oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti pada penelitian ini. This study was aimed to knowing the description of prosocial behaviour, empathy, and social suppor from colleague, also the contribution of empathy and colleague social support to student prosocial behaviour. The study was ex post facto study with 330 respondent as collected by area random sampling. Prosocial behaviour questionnaire,empathy scale, and social support colleague scale, it was use 0,737, 0,703, and 0,733 reliability at data collected. The result showed that the student of SMP Negeri in Sub Rayon 3 Kabupaten Banyumas having high classified prosocial behaviour (76%), empathy with high classified (59%), and colleague social support with high classified (63%). The study also showed that there were contribution of empathy and colleague social support to student prosocial behaviour (F(8,329)=30,482,p<0,05) it was 47,2% consists of 36,6% was empathy and 6,6% was collegue social support, and for the other was contribute by other variable which does”nt researching in this study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan future time perspective dengan emosi akademik melalui self-efficacy pada siswa di SMA Negeri se-Kabupaten Cirebon. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 340 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari skala emosi akademik Achievement Emotions Questionmaire (AEQ), skala future time perspective, dan self-efficacy yaitu New General Self-efficacy Scale (NGSE). Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Mediasi Hayes. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar (β =0.54 , p<0.05; β =0.74 , p<0.05), artinya terdapat hubungan antara variabel future time perspective dengan emosi akademik melalui self-efficacy pada siswa

Abstract

There have been different models of achievement motivation models proposed in the literature. This article aims to examine the effectiveness of the Focused Classroom Meeting Model of Teaching (FCMMT) which is based on the Trisula Model of Achievement Motivation in English as a foreign language setting. The effectiveness of FCMMT was examined through experimental research with randomized pre-test post-test control group design. The subjects consisted of 40 students of 11th Grade who were randomly selected from a senior high school. They were, then, randomly assigned into two different groups, namely experimental and control groups. The experimental group received FCMMT of teaching model intervention, while the control group was given classroom management intervention by applying the experimental design of the control group pre-test multiple post-tests. Both experimental and control groups received teaching intervention for 12 sessions (90 minutes per session; twice per week). The achievement motivation scale used was adapted from the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ). The result of the experiment showed that FCMMT was effective in enhancing students’ achievement motivation. This study provides an alternative new model empirically found effective for increasing student achievement motivation, namely task value, self-efficacy, and goal orientation.

Abstract

Kebahagiaan bagi anak usia dini dapat dikaitkan dengan emosi positif yang dirasakan oleh setiap individu. Kebahagiaan anak menarik untuk dipelajari karena anak mampu mengidentifikasi emosi dalam lingkungan interpersonal. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana prediksi hubungan sosial dan temperamen anak usia dini di TK Kecamatan Pegandon Kabupaten Kendal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan ex post facto dan desain penelitian korelasional. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 150 anak TK di Kecamatan Pegandon Kabupaten Kendal dengan rentang usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dalam menentukan pengambilan sampel. Anak akan didampingi oleh guru atau peneliti untuk membacakan ketentuan dan butir instrumen dalam penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hubungan sosial dan temperamen memprediksi kebahagiaan anak usia dini sebesar 26.2% terhadap kebahagiaan anak usia dini. Hubungan sosial dan temperamen dapat memprediksi kebahagiaan anak usia dini apabila guru dan orang tua bekerjasama dan untuk membangun rasa percaya diri terhadap anak, mendorong anak untuk bersosialisasi dengan orang lain, memberi kesempatan kepada anak untuk meluapkan emosinya dan memberi kesempatan kepada anak dalam mengambil keputusan.

Abstract

Honesty is a significant issue being investigated in the academic world due to the prevalence of dishonesty such as cheating and plagiarism among students. This research aims to examine the relationship between students' honesty and their moral disengagement and incivility perspectives. A correlational study was conducted with 636 students from two junior high schools in Central Java using cluster sampling. Participants completed the academic integrity scale, moral disengagement scale, and incivility scale. The results indicated that moral disengagement and incivility significantly predict students' honesty, as confirmed by the significant correlation (R = .41, F (13,622) = 9.57, p < .01). The study's results suggest that factors such as euphemistic labeling, dehumanization, unintentional incivility, and intentional incivility contribute to students' honesty. The findings of this study highlight the importance of addressing moral disengagement and incivility in educational settings. To promote honesty and positive behavior among students, educational institutions may consider implementing programs that address these factors and encourage positive moral reasoning and respectful behavior. Further discussion of these results is provided in the study.

Abstract

Cyberbullying is a form of behavior that harms, disrupts, and threatens the safety of other users on social media. Cyberbullying is crucial to explore, considering that most research focuses on victims and less on perpetrators. The present study aimed to examine the role of emotion regulation in moderating cyber-victimization and cyberbullying. This correlational study involved 103 respondents (38 males and 65 females). They are aged 19-24, in the second to fourteenth semesters, and indicated as a perpetrator of social media. Data were collected using the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) and the Cyberbullying Inventory (CB-I). The data analysis techniques applied in this study were descriptive, correlational, cluster, and regression-based moderator analyses. The moderator analysis used the PROCESS syntax in IBM SPSS. This study showed that emotion regulation predicted decreasing cyberbullying, whereas cyber-victimization strongly correlated with cyberbullying. Furthermore, the negative correlation between cyber-victimization and cyberbullying increased when emotion regulation was low. This study confirmed that most perpetrators experienced cyber-victimization, and emotion regulation strategically reduced those circumstances.

Abstract

Manusia lahir dengan seluruh potensi yang perlu untuk dikembangkan oleh lingkungan, diawali oleh orang tuanya (lembaga informal) dan dilanjutkan oleh guru (di lembaga pendidikan) serta masyarakat (lembaga non formal). Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana kolaborasi bimbingan orang tua, guru, dan masyarakat dapat berkontribusi dalam kesuksesan pembelajar dasar di era digital dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi hal tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sementara teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini mengadaptasi pola yang digunakan oleh Miles dan Huberman, yaitu tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah : (1) Bentuk-bentuk kolaborasi dalam kesuksesan pembelajar di era digital seperti kolaborasi orang tua dapat dilakukan dengan cara membangun komunikasi yang harmonis dengan pembelajar dasar, kolaborasi guru dapat dilakukan dengan melakukan aktivitas yang beragam di luar kegiatan belajar mengajar dengan menyediakan waktu berkonsultasi dan kunjungan dengan pendekatan kekeluargaan, koaborasi dengan tokoh masyarakat dapat dilakukan dengan cara aktualisasi keteladanan sosial; (2) Faktor pendukung kesuksesan pembelajar di era digital, yaitu keterlibatan orangtua dalam memberikan ruang psikologis yang nyaman bagi pembelajar dasar ketika belajar bersama keluarga, kompetensi guru yang rata-rata sarjana memungkinkan guru memiliki wawasan luas dalam proses belajar maupun memanajemen kelas, serta tokoh masyarakat terlibat secara aktif maupun pasif pada jam belajar pembelajar dasar. Sementara faktor penghambat kesuksesan pembelajar di era digital yaitu kerjasama seluruh aspek pendidikan (orangtua, guru dan tokoh masyarakat) yang kurang integral.

Abstract

Nonsuicidal Self-Injury (NSSI) yang lebih dikenal dengan self-injury atau self-harm, merupakan tindakan yang dilakukan dengan sengaja untuk melukai diri sendiri. Pelaku self-injury melukai dirinya tidak untuk menciptakan rasa sakit fisik, tetapi untuk menenangkan rasa sakit emosional yang mendalam. Sebuah tinjauan literatur menunjukkan bahwa kelompok-kelompok ini pernah melakukan self-injury : sekitar 18% remaja (usia 10-17 tahun) dan 13% orang dewasa awal (usia 18-24 tahun) telah melukai diri sendiri; sekitar 20% di antaranya adalah mahasiswa. Banyak orang yang melukai diri sendiri tumbuh dalam keluarga dimana ekspresi emosi dan kemarahan tidak ditoleransi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif studi kasus, pengumpulan datanya dengan wawancara semi terstruktur, observasi, dan studi documenter. Responden penelitian ini adalah : Ayah dan ibu pelaku self-injury, 5 pasang, dan bersedia menjadi responden. Analisis Data yang digunakan adalah Model Miles dan Huberman (1994). Hasilnya ada sembilan tema yang menggambarkan bahwa orangtua yang memberi pengaruh paling kuat dalam pembentukan konsep diri pada anak, kurang dapat menjalankan fungsi dan perannya sebagaimana mestinya. Peran keluarga, terutama orangtua sangat dibutuhkan untuk mengembangkan konsep diri anak menjadi lebih positif, agar dapat mengatasi tindakan NSSI.
