Abstract

This study systematically examines the impact of pay and incentive inequality on work motivation, focusing on the interplay between monetary and non-monetary incentives, organizational factors, and demographic contexts. By addressing critical gaps in the literature, the research seeks to provide actionable insights into designing equitable and effective compensation systems. A systematic literature review (SLR) synthesized findings from diverse studies across various sectors and demographics. The analysis integrated theoretical frameworks such as Equity Theory and Self-Determination Theory (SDT) to explore how compensation systems influence employee motivation and organizational outcomes. The findings reveal that pay and incentive inequality significantly affect employee motivation and well-being, with disparities in compensation leading to perceptions of injustice, reduced engagement, and higher turnover. Monetary incentives are effective for short-term productivity but insufficient for sustaining intrinsic motivation without complementary non-monetary rewards. Organizational culture, transparency, and demographic factors, such as age, gender, and geographic location, were found to mediate the impact of compensation disparities. Additionally, the study underscores the need for context-specific compensation strategies to address systemic inequities and enhance motivation. The study highlights the importance of transparent and inclusive compensation policies for fostering equity and long-term organizational sustainability. Practical recommendations include combining monetary and non-monetary incentives, engaging employees in policy design, and tailoring strategies to demographic and geographic contexts. These insights contribute to developing equitable workplaces and inform future research directions.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of organizational goal vagueness (OGV) on employee motivation, focusing on intrinsic and extrinsic factors. The research investigates how unclear goals influence employee productivity, engagement, and well-being within organizations. The study employs a systematic literature review (SLR) approach, analyzing recent studies and theories to synthesize findings on the effects of goal ambiguity. The study examines various empirical and theoretical contributions by reviewing peer-reviewed articles. The findings reveal that goal ambiguity significantly reduces employee motivation by creating confusion and uncertainty about roles and expectations. Both intrinsic motivation (personal satisfaction) and extrinsic motivation (rewards and recognition) are negatively impacted. The research also highlights that goal vagueness undermines employee engagement and increases stress, leading to burnout and decreased productivity. Additionally, clear and well-communicated goals are essential for enhancing motivation, improving performance, and fostering organizational success. The study suggests that organizations must prioritize clear goal-setting and transparent communication to mitigate the adverse effects of goal vagueness. Regular feedback, aligned objectives, and better leadership communication are essential to improve employee motivation and ensure organizational effectiveness. These findings provide practical recommendations for managers aiming to foster a motivated and engaged workforce.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of integrating stress management and work motivation development training for housewives and workers, focusing on how combined interventions impact stress reduction, motivation enhancement, and overall well-being. A systematic literature review (SLR) methodology was employed to analyze and synthesize studies from 2018 onward that explore the intersection of stress management and motivation development for housewives and workers. Relevant studies were selected from academic databases, and findings were assessed to identify trends, gaps, and the effectiveness of integrated interventions. The study found that integrated programs combining stress management techniques with motivational strategies led to significant improvements in stress reduction and motivation. While both housewives and workers showed positive outcomes, workers demonstrated more pronounced improvements in productivity and job satisfaction due to the structured nature of workplace settings. Housewives, however, experienced greater emotional well-being improvements but faced challenges in accessing formal programs due to time constraints and societal norms. The study highlights the potential of integrated interventions in improving personal and professional outcomes for both housewives and workers. It provides practical insights for policymakers and organizations in designing inclusive, flexible programs that address the unique needs of these groups. The findings suggest that combining stress management with motivation can lead to more sustainable behavioral changes, benefiting both well-being and productivity. Future research should expand the scope to include long-term effects and explore cultural differences in program efficacy.
