Abstract

Dispersive thinking is a process of expanding knowledge through reflective thinking, followed by creative thinking and producing various alternative solutions / answers that are unique, new, and appropriate. This research aims to describe students' dispersive thinking processes in constructing their self-regulated learning in a "Conceptual Embodied" world. Data collection methods are non-routine tests (problems) related to flat shapes, interviews, and think out loud. The results showed that students' dispersive thinking processes in constructing self-regulated learning in the "Conceptual Embodied" world consisted of the following stages: experiencing confusion (presence of experience), identifying problems, synthesizing ideas, building ideas, implementing ideas. The researcher recommends that the construction of a flat concept in the "Conceptual Embodied" world should focus on the development of the students' dispersive thinking stages.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen self efficacy dengan menggunakan Rasch Model. Responden pada penelitian ini merupakan siswa SMA berjumlah berjumlah 347 orang. Hasil analisis instrumen self-efficacy menggunakan model Rasch ditinjau berdasarkan aspek-aspek unidimensionalitas, analisis butir item (termasuk tingkat kesulitan dan kesesuaian butir item), serta analisis keseluruhan instrumen. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai Cronbach Alpha mencapai 0,90, yang tergolong dalam kategori sangat baik. Selain itu, nilai person reliability tercatat sebesar 0,88, yang termasuk dalam kategori baik, dan nilai item reliability sebesar 0,98, yang berada pada kategori istimewa. Dengan hasil tersebut dapat dikatakan instrumen self-efficacy dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop a non-test instrument that can be used to measure students' self-concept in mathematics learning. The instrument created was a self-concept questionnaire with 12 statements with three dimensions of self-concept, namely knowledge, expectations, and assessments. This instrument is in the form of a rating scale with 4 choices, namely strongly disagree, disagree, agree, and strongly agree. The respondents in this study were 306 high school students. Data processing in this study used the Rasch Model which was operated through the Winstep application. The reliability of the self-concept development instrument is in the good category with a Cronbach Alpha (KR-20) Person Raw Score value of 0.71, meaning that the development instrument in this study can be used to express students' self-concept in mathematics learning. Include from 12 items of student self-concept statements in mathematics learning valid because they meet at least one validity criterion.

Abstract

Berdasarkan permasalahan yang didapatkan dari hasil diskusi yang dilakukan bersama dengan Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Sukabumi, yaitu dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas mengenai terpusatnya pembelajaran hanya pada guru, kurang aktifnya siswa dalam pembelajaran, metode yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran masih konvensional, dan belum menggunakan media pembelajaran yang interaktif dengan memanfaatkan teknologi. Oleh karena itu, tim pengabdian melakukan kegiatan workshop kepada guru-guru SMA di SMA Al-Bayan Sukabumi agar dapat membuat media pembelajaran yang interaktif dengan menggunakan aplikasi Canva. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan workshop ini adalah teori berupa pemaparan materi media pembelajaran interaktif dan aplikasi canva serta penggunaannya dalam pembelajaran, selain itu praktek berupa pengenalan aplikasi canva dan bagaimana langkah-langkah membuat materi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan aplikasi canva, diskusi dan Latihan. Workshop ini telah membantu dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru-guru dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas, khususnya dalam membuat media pembelajaran yang menarik yaitu Canva pada mata pelajaran matematika. Hal ini dapat dilihat dengan adanya peningkatan hasil pretest 76,4% dan hasil postest 98,8% pada peserta kegiatan. Dalam kegiatan workshop ini terdapat kendala yaitu akses internet yang sulit dan kurangnya waktu yang diberikan. Based on the problems obtained from the results of discussions conducted together with the Sukabumi Regency Education Office, namely in the learning process in the classroom regarding the centralization of learning only on teachers, the lack of student activity in learning, the methods used in learning are still conventional and have not used interactive learning media by utilizing technology. Therefore, the community service team conducted a workshop for high school teachers at Al-Bayan Sukabumi High School so that they could create interactive learning media using the Canva application. The method used in this workshop activity is theory in the form of presentation of interactive learning media material and Canva applications and their use in learning, in addition to practice in the form of introduction to the Canva application and how to create learning materials using the Canva application, discussion and practice. This workshop has helped improve the competence of teachers in the learning process in the classroom, especially in creating interesting learning media, namely Canva in mathematics. This can be seen from the increase in pretest results of 76.4% and posttest results of 98.8% of the participants. In this workshop activity there were obstacles, namely difficult internet access and lack of time given.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalis pengaruh model Problem- Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Metode penelitian ini adalah meta-analisis, yaitu menganalisis penelitian-penelitian empiris yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti sebelumnya. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 10 artikel penelitian pada jurnal nasional. Prosedur dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) menentukan domain penelitian yang akan dianalisis, (2) menentukan penelitian yang relevan yang terdiri atas pertimbangan diantara lain variable yang diteliti yaitu model project based learning dan/ kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis, desain penelitian dan jenis publikasi berupa artikel hasil penelitian, (3) melakuan pengkodean seperti karakteristik desain penelitian serta karakteristik referensi penelitian yang digunakan, dan (4) menghitung effect size. Perhitungan effect size menggunakan jenis meta-analisis Group Contrast dengan jenis Standardized Mean Difference dikarenakan skala nilai yang digunakan diseluruh penelitian relevan tidak cukup jelas atau berbeda- beda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model Problem-Based Learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Hal tersebut terlihat dari hasil perhitungan rerata effect size yang berkategori tinggi.

Abstract

This article aims to develop an instructional design in applying the Jigsaw cooperative learning model to the ability to understand mathematical concepts and the self-efficacy of students at SMK N 26 Pembangunan Jakarta. The learning material chosen is lines and series, covering the following sub-topics: Arithmetic series, geometric series, arithmetic series, and geometric series. The steps before forming the instructional design carried out a needs analysis in which classroom observations and teacher and student interviews were carried out. After the needs analysis is obtained, a learning plan is formed that will be created and will be implemented in the next lesson.

Abstract

The instructional design with a problem-solving approach is essential for enhancing students' Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in secondary education. The aim of this research is to develop an effective and measurable learning process that can improve students' HOTS through a problem-solving approach, with a particular focus on the topic of integrals, which students often find challenging. The research method used in this study is Instructional Design Development, which integrates student needs analysis, clear learning objectives, and the application of innovative and relevant instructional strategies. This research involves a comprehensive analysis of various theories and best practices in problem-based learning, as well as evaluating its effectiveness through classroom trials. The sources of information evaluated include academic journals, textbooks, and previous research reports, providing diversity and validity of data for analysis. This analysis includes the definition of HOTS, HOTS indicators investigated, and the strategies and methods commonly used in problem-solving learning. This research aims to provide a deeper understanding of how instructional design with problem-solving can enhance students' HOTS, particularly in understanding and mastering integral material. The results of this research are expected to significantly contribute to the development of more effective and efficient learning strategies, focusing on developing students' critical and creative thinking skills in education.

Abstract

This socialization aims to develop the creativity and competence of quantitative data analysis for teachers in the Thousand Islands. The method of this socialization is delivering material interactively and practically using a laptop. The participants of this socialization were 25 teachers in the Seribu Islands. This socialization was carried out for two days at the Seribu Islands school. This socialization forms teachers into groups to carry out analysis and discuss together. The results of this socialization activity are the conclusions from the results of the questionnaire after the socialization, namely (1) 100% of participants stated that they easily understood the material; (2) 92% of participants stated that the duration of the socialization was following the material presented; (3) 100% of participants stated that the presenters had detailed and clear presentation of the material; (4) 100% of participants acquire new knowledge. The socialization went smoothly because the participants were enthusiastic about practicing quantitative data analysis using SPSS. The obstacle to this socialization is the limitation of the duration of socialization activities.

Abstract

Resiliensi matematis adalah kemampuan afektif yang harus dimiliki peserta didik untuk bertahan dalam menghadapi dan mengatasi masalah di dalam pembelajaran matematika. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research Development (R&D) dan melewati serangkaian pengumpulan data: 1) perencanaan; 2) pengembangan instrumen; 3) validasi teoritik; 4) uji lapangan; 5) validasi empiris; 6) analisis instrumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis validitas konstruk instrumen resiliensi matematis peserta didik menggunakan Rasch Model. Responden pada penelitian ini sebanyak 400 peserta didik SMA di Bekasi. Analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan metode Rasch Model dengan aplikasi Winstep versi 3.73. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 27 item butir yang valid dan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebagai respresentasi dari interaksi antara person dengan keseluruhan item sebesar 0,83 tergolong dalam kategori baik. Nilai Person Reliability sebesar 0,80 tergolong cukup dan nilai sebesar 0,99 sebagai nilai Item Reliability. Oleh karena itu, instrumen ini dapat digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat resiliensi matematis peserta didik dengan layak dan kredibel.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain and convey information about the connection between the Brain Based Learning model and students' conceptual understanding abilities in classroom learning. The method that will be applied in this study is a literature study, one of which is based on the Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which aims to discuss in depth the discussion and formulation of problems from several previous literatures that are relevant to the topic discussed. The technique used in this study uses the PRISMA protocol basis. Some of the characteristics of the literature sources used or discussed are indexed by Sinta and Scopus, available on the Google Scholar platform; Researchgate; and Eric Journal with the year of publication of the source in the last 10 years. The topics and discussions discussed in this study are related to the application of the Brain Based Learning model to students' mathematical conceptual understanding abilities and the success of the application of the Brain Based Learning model in developing students' mathematical conceptual understanding abilities. From the results of the analysis, it was found that several stages of BBL themselves were able to direct students to be able to train their mathematical conceptual understanding abilities during learning. BBL can change students' learning activities to be better in developing their mathematical conceptual understanding abilities.
