Abstract

This community service program (PKM) has the aim of implementing the development of a creative problem solving (CPS) learning model using...Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring(REACT) in science learning that is produced towards aspects of improving student achievement, support for the implementation of junior high school science teacher duties, especially in student-oriented learning design in combining theory and practice, implementing practicums and evaluating science learning outcomes in Southeast Maluku Regency. The expected benefits in this PKM are to motivate teachers to be creative in designing and preparing learning devices in the classroom and laboratory that are oriented towards students based on the environment, so that the learning process can take place properly. While for students, it can provide a clear understanding of the material presented by the teacher, so that students are able to find explanations and provide responses to what they are learning. In addition, students are trained to find out for themselves what they observe and try to describe the concept through student worksheets prepared with the help of the CPS learning model using REACT. Therefore, the CPS learning model using REACT in science learning that is designed is collaborated with several methods, namely reflective lectures, discovery, inquiry, demonstrations and questions and answers and recitations to express various concepts that are being studied in class and can be applied in everyday life

Abstract

Creative and critical thinking skills are one of the demands of new skills needed by students in the current era. One of the learning models that can sharpen creative and critical thinking skills is Problem based learning (PBL). Heretofore, research related to creative and critical thinking skills with PBL in understanding static fluid material is still minimal. Therefore, this research explored it. This study aimed to analyze the effect of PBL on students' creative and critical thinking skills. This type of research is experimental with a total of 58 students, both experimental class and control class in 10th-grade science class Christian Senior High School YPKPM Ambon. The research procedure in the form of creative and critical thinking skills tests carried out during the research process and data analysis used was the independent sample t-test. The results showed that the average value of the experimental class students' learning achievement related to students' creative and critical thinking skills was higher than the conventional class. This implies that PBL facilitates in improving students' creative and critical thinking skills on static fluid.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to (1) Identify the evaluation needs of teacher training programs within the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Maluku and North Maluku Provinces; (2) Analyze the factors that influence evaluation needs in the context of the island provinces; and (3) Describe the evaluation practices that have been implemented and examine the extent to which these practices meet the identified evaluation needs. The method used in this study is qualitative. The subjects in this study were two teachers. The data collection techniques used were non-test methods, including interviews and document analysis. Data analysis was carried out through three stages, namely: (1) Data Reduction, (2) Data Display, and (3) Conclusion Drawing and data verification. The results of the study indicate that (1) Teachers within the Ministry of Religious Affairs require systematic, continuous and comprehensive evaluation of training programs; (2) The need for teacher training evaluation is significantly influenced by the context of the island region such as geographical factors, limited electricity and internet infrastructure, and sea transportation constraints that affect the implementation and evaluation models that can be applied and (3) Current teacher training evaluation practices are still oriented towards process evaluation and participant satisfaction. The research findings are expected to provide contextual recommendations for developing teacher-training evaluation models that are relevant to the characteristics of the Maluku and North Maluku regions, as well as further strengthening the evaluation system within the Ministry of Religion.
