Abstract

The demand to transform conventional systems into ones that utilize digital platforms is inevitable. Digital transformation is crucial, especially in the customer service sector, to facilitate transactions for consumers. The opportunity to undertake digital transformation within cooperatives is wide open due to the rapid technological advancements today. The specific objective of this research is to understand how the digitalization of services conducted by student cooperatives contributes to enhancing member participation, and also to identify the potential for the development of student cooperative businesses. This research is conducted at the Student Cooperative of Economics Education in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. Informants for this study consist of cooperative advisors, management members, cooperative members, and alumni who were members of the cooperative. Data collection for this research was obtained through three methods: observation of the research location, interviews with the informants, and literature review. Data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions are the methods used to analyze the qualitative data obtained from interview results. The research findings reveal that the student cooperative management has taken initiatives to optimize member participation, such as developing the "KopmaKu" application, attempting collaboration with third-party cooperative application developers, and working towards implementing Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) as a payment system. Student cooperative business units have significant potential to provide benefits and opportunities for alumni. These cooperatives serve not only as places for purchasing essential items, but also as platforms for collaboration, empowerment, and connections between students and alumni. The student cooperative business units can serve as a strong bridge between students and alumni. Alumni can collaborate with students in various aspects, including the provision of products or services, training, and even funding.

Abstract

The Mandar and Bugis ethnic residents have mixed together in Malei Village, Padongga District, Pasangkayu Regency, West Sulawesi Province. Social interaction has been carried out by the people of both ethnic groups to create a harmonious life. This research aims to understand the interaction of residents of the two ethnic groups in maintaining harmony while ensuring that harmonious living is a value in Malei Village. The research was carried out using descriptive qualitative methods. Informants were determined purposively as representatives of the Mandar and Bugis ethnic groups, namely community leaders, youth leaders, traditional leaders and village heads. Data analysis begins when the problem is formulated (through literature study) and continues until the research is completed. Researchers use three activity streams when analyzing, namely data condensation (selecting, focusing, simplifying and transforming field data), displaying or presenting data, and drawing conclusions or verification. The research results show that the interaction between the Mandar ethnic population and the Bugis ethnic population can be seen in associative and dissociative social interactions. Associative interactions include long-standing cooperation on various occasions, accommodation through tolerance in realizing cultural harmonization, acculturation from mixed marriages, and assimilation in the form of high respect for values ??and rules. Meanwhile, dissociative interactions through competition in the economic field, specifically in wallet nests, do not leave conflict. These aspects make the residents of Malei Village, both Mandar and Bugis, have high cultural values ??of harmony because they have a mutual respect for each other.

Abstract

Indonesia, as an archipelagic country, boasts extensive and diverse coastal resources. Sustainable management of coastal areas is crucial to ensure long-term benefits for communities. One recently opened tourist destination is Karang Empat Beach, located in Ranokomea Village, West Poleang District, Bombana Regency. Despite its high tourism potential, the beach faces serious issues related to waste accumulation, particularly plastic waste, caused by a lack of visitor awareness and inadequate disposal facilities. To address this problem, a dedicated team conducted a series of activities, including the provision of trash bins, beach clean-up efforts, and the installation of informational boards to raise public awareness. The positive response from local authorities further supported these efforts. The results of these activities demonstrated a reduction in waste on the beach and an increase in public awareness about proper waste disposal. This study highlights the importance of collaboration between communities and management in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the sustainability of tourist areas.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a pivotal driver of innovation and competitiveness in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), particularly within the creative economy. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis using Scopus as the primary data source and VOSviewer for visualization to examine the intellectual landscape of digital transformation in MSME entrepreneurship. The findings reveal that entrepreneurship, digital economy, and digital transformation are the dominant research themes, with emerging interest in sustainability, artificial intelligence, and platform-based business models. The temporal analysis highlights a shift from early studies on digital adoption and entrepreneurship education toward more recent discussions on economic development, sustainability, and innovation-driven digital ecosystems. The co-authorship and country collaboration networks indicate strong research connections among the United States, China, India, and Russia, but also reveal gaps in contributions from underrepresented regions. This study identifies key research trends, highlights knowledge gaps, and proposes future research directions, including sustainable digital entrepreneurship, ethical platform governance, and policy frameworks for inclusive digital transformation. The insights provided serve as a foundation for further academic inquiry and strategic policymaking to ensure the equitable and sustainable growth of MSMEs in the digital economy.

Abstract

Makassar City, one of Indonesia's big cities, still faces poverty. The poverty data published by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) shows that over the last decade (2010-2023), the average percentage of poverty decreased very small, only around 0.06%, and the number decreased by only about 124 people. This research aims to find out how the strengthening of MSMEs is carried out by the Makassar City government, as well as how it impacts poverty alleviation. The respondents in this study were 102 MSME actors registered with the Cooperatives and SMEs Office. The analysis method uses a quantitative descriptive and explanatory approach with a binary logistic regression model. The results of the descriptive analysis show that MSME actors who have per capita expenditure above the poverty line are more than those who have per capita expenditure below the poverty line. Efforts to strengthen MSMEs are carried out through collaboration between local governments and state-owned banks, startups, and marketplaces through several trainings, including marketing and digital financial management. The variables of training and Labor have a significant effect on poverty alleviation, while the variables of business credit do not affect poverty alleviation. MSME actors who participated in more than one training 17 times had a per capita income above the poverty line compared to MSME actors who did not participate in training. MSME actors who use Labor 9 times have a per capita income above the poverty line compared to MSME actors who do not use Labor.
