Abstract

This research aims to analyze the performance of the KH Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan State Islamic University (UIN) using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) method which focuses on two perspectives: finance and internal business. The research method used is descriptive with a quantitative approach. Data was collected through surveys, interviews, and analysis of financial documents and internal university performance reports. Financial performance indicators include income, expenses and cost efficiency, while internal business indicators include academic processes, operational efficiency and service quality. The research results show that from a financial perspective, universities experienced a significant increase in annual income, especially from PNBP and academic support. However, there is still a need to diversify income sources. The largest expenditures are allocated to academic activities, staff salaries and allowances, and despite savings efforts, cost efficiency can still be improved. From an internal business perspective, the quality of the academic process is considered good but requires curriculum innovation that is more responsive to job market needs. Campus operational efficiency is good, but several administrative processes require digitalization. The level of student and staff satisfaction with university services is quite high, although there are areas that need improvement such as IT services and supporting facilities. This research concludes that the performance of UIN KH Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan from a financial and internal business perspective is quite good, but there are areas that require improvement to achieve higher efficiency and effectiveness. Key recommendations include diversifying revenue sources, increasing expenditure efficiency, curriculum innovation, and digitizing administrative processes.

Abstract

Abstract. This community service is carried out to empower Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Wiradesa District, especially those who are members of the Pecel Lele community. The main aim of this activity is to increase participants' capacity in terms of business legality and financial management through training in creating a Business Identification Number (NIB) and using the Buku Warung application. With better business legality and more structured financial records, it is hoped that MSME players can increase their operational efficiency and competitiveness in the market. The methodology used in this service is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which involves participants actively in the learning process. The training will be held from September to November 2023, with the location of the activities taking place in the homes of community members. A total of 40 participants took part in this training, which consisted of creating an online NIB, a workshop on the importance of financial recording, and practice using the Buku Warung application to support their business management. The results of the service showed a significant increase in the participants' ability to manage their business more professionally. Before the training, most participants did not have NIB and carried out financial records manually or irregularly. That is, 85% of participants did not NIB before the training, but afterward, 90% had NIB. In addition, 70% of participants previously did not keep regular financial records, and after the training, 95% started using the Buku Warung application regularly, and after the training, 95% started using the Buku Warung application. However, after the training, most of the participants succeeded in getting an NIB and started using the Buku Warung application to record financial transactions digitally. This improvement not only strengthens business legality, but also increases the efficiency and accuracy of financial recording, which ultimately helps participants make more precise and strategic business decisions.   Abstrak. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk memberdayakan pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Kecamatan Wiradesa, khususnya yang tergabung dalam komunitas Pecel Lele. Tujuan utama dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan kapasitas peserta dalam hal legalitas usaha dan manajemen keuangan melalui pelatihan pembuatan Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB) dan penggunaan aplikasi Buku Warung. Dengan legalitas usaha yang lebih baik dan pencatatan keuangan yang lebih terstruktur, diharapkan para pelaku UMKM dapat meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan daya saing mereka di pasar. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR), yang melibatkan peserta secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dari bulan September hingga November 2023, dengan lokasi kegiatan di rumah anggota komunitas secara bergantian. Sebanyak 40 peserta mengikuti pelatihan ini, yang terdiri dari pembuatan NIB secara online, workshop tentang pentingnya pencatatan keuangan, dan latihan penggunaan aplikasi Buku Warung untuk mendukung pengelolaan bisnis mereka. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan peserta untuk mengelola usaha mereka secara lebih profesional. Sebelum pelatihan, sebagian besar peserta tidak memiliki NIB dan melakukan pencatatan keuangan secara manual atau tidak teratur. Yaitu Sebanyak 85% peserta tidak memiliki NIB sebelum pelatihan, tetapi setelahnya, 90% telah memiliki NIB. Selain itu, 70% peserta sebelumnya tidak melakukan pencatatan keuangan secara teratur, dan setelah pelatihan, 95% mulai menggunakan aplikasi Buku Warung  Namun, setelah pelatihan, mayoritas peserta berhasil mendapatkan NIB dan mulai menggunakan aplikasi Buku Warung untuk mencatat transaksi keuangan secara digital. Peningkatan ini tidak hanya memperkuat legalitas usaha, tetapi juga meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi pencatatan keuangan, yang pada akhirnya membantu peserta dalam membuat keputusan bisnis yang lebih tepat dan strategis.

Abstract

The use of single-use plastics derived from fossil fuels has been a major cause of environmental pollution. As a solution, biopolymers based on renewable resources have emerged as an environmentally friendly alternative. This article examines the development, challenges, and implementation strategies for biopolymers in providing sustainable plastic solutions. The discussion begins with an introduction to biopolymers, their types, and applications in replacing fossil-based plastics in various industrial sectors. It is found that although biopolymers offer environmental advantages, key challenges include higher production costs, limited raw materials, and waste management. The article also discusses the role of government policies, technological innovation, and multisectoral collaboration in accelerating biopolymer adoption. With appropriate policies, infrastructure development, and increased consumer awareness, Indonesia has great potential to lead sustainable biopolymer production.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze a case study of the Batik Kafina business in Pekalongan. This research will involve collecting primary and secondary data to obtain comprehensive information about the business of Batik Kafina. The research method used is a qualitative approach by collecting data through in-depth interviews with the owners and managers of Batik Kafina, as well as direct observation at business locations. Furthermore, the data will be analyzed descriptively to identify the factors that influence the success of the Batik Kafina business. The analysis will be carried out by considering several key factors, including marketing strategy, operational management, product innovation and customer response. In addition, it will also analyze the local business environment in Pekalongan, including competition with other batik producers and support from the local government. The results of this study are expected to provide insight into the factors that influence the success of the Batik Kafina business in Pekalongan. The findings of this study can be used as a reference for business owners and other business actors in developing strategies and facing challenges in the batik industry. This research can also contribute knowledge in the development of the batik industry in Indonesia as a whole.

Abstract

Digital branding has become an important element in building a strong brand identity amidst the challenges of the digital era. The guest teacher-based community service program at SMK Negeri 1 Sragi aims to provide education and training on digital branding strategies to students who want to become entrepreneurs. This activity involves materials on building brand identity, creating logos, producing digital content, and using Content Management Systems (CMS). With a practical and interactive approach, students are invited to understand the concept and apply digital branding strategies in their businesses. Program evaluations show students' success in creating logos and digital content, as well as a deep understanding of the importance of brand identity in the digital era. Participant testimonials confirm the benefits of this program in improving students' skills and readiness to face competition in the digital business world. This program is a strategic step in developing students' competencies and strengthening their potential as future entrepreneurs.

Abstract

Technological advances in the financial sector are growing rapidly. Technological innovation brings a more practical financial transaction process, one of which is applied to online loans. The implementation of Community Service activities (PkM) is motivated by the rampant illegal online loans offered to the public but not balanced with public knowledge of the online loans themselves. This has caused some MSME players to be trapped in online loan problems. The purpose of the PkM activity is to provide education to the community about digital finance which focuses on online lending material. The implementation of the PkM activity was carried out directly on May 22, 2023 at the culinary market of East Pekalongan District, Pekalongan City. The results of this PkM activity explain that understanding literacy around digital finance, especially on online loans, is very useful for MSME players. This can be seen from the results This service activity has increased participants' awareness of the importance of understanding the legality and risks of online loan fintech.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing strategy used by Kedai Geprek Niki in facing business competition in the digital era. This study uses qualitative research methods by interviewing the owners and customers of Kedai Geprek Niki. The results show that Kedai Geprek Niki still uses word of mouth marketing as the main method to develop its business. This is done by ensuring quality food and good service to increase customer satisfaction and make them recommend Kedai Geprek Niki to their friends and family. In order to increase customer satisfaction, Kedai Geprek Niki also pays attention to service aspects. They provide special training for their staff to provide good and friendly service to customers. Kedai Geprek Niki also pays attention to aspects of cleanliness and environmental comfort. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that Kedai Geprek Niki has managed to survive in the digital era by adopting a marketing strategy that is in line with current business trends. They leverage technology and strengthen their word-of-mouth marketing strategy by focusing on product and service quality.

Abstract

This research examines the marketing strategies used by MSME players, focusing on Sylviea Collection's use of TikTok Shop as a case study. MSMEs in Indonesia face various challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic bug and changes in consumer shopping behavior towards the digital economy. One of the efforts made by MSMEs is to utilize TikTok Shop to market their products. This study concludes that MSMEs can increase the appeal and effectiveness of their TikTok content by using high-quality smartphones, non-rational persuasive advertising techniques, and functional ads that provide clear product information. With the right marketing strategy, MSMEs can expand their market in the growing digital era.

Abstract

Indonesia is a developing country with many potential tourist destinations, natural tourism and cultural tourism in each region because Indonesia has different tribes, customs, cultures and geographical location. Indonesia is a tropical country that produces. Indonesia also has many traditional snacks in each region, Indonesian traditional snacks are one of the legacies of our ancestors that must be preserved and preserved so that they are not forgotten by future generations. However, currently Indonesian people prefer snacks such as pizza, hamburgers and other snacks as they develop. In western culture, it is not uncommon for children to be asked if they don't know the traditional food of their area. Therefore, let's preserve traditional snacks by buying traditional snacks, learning how to make them, practicing recipes, and also helping to market and introduce traditional snacks to the general public. Communication is one of the most important aspects in marketing the tourism industry in an area, according to Soemanagara (2008), this service activity provides various benefits, knowledge and skills to Bojong Pekalongan market traders to increase culinary tourism in the Bojong Pekalongan market. Promotion of local traditional food Bojong Pekalongan market traders are trained to promote local traditional food on social media using mobile media such as Traditional food is apem cake, ball baling and others.

Abstract

A tourist village is a village that is used as a tourist attraction because of its attractiveness. The potential possessed by the village is a form of integration between attractions, accommodation and supporting facilities which are then presented in a structure of community life. This method by conducting PKM activities in a research-based community service program was carried out on June 18, 2023 in collaboration with UMKM Wonobodro Village, Blado Kab. Batang, which was held at a religious tourism site. This community service activity carries the theme of developing local culinary products to increase regional tourism. Therefore, the tourist village is usually made in one particular area supported by attractions, accommodation, and other facilities which as a whole integrate all elements in a village to promote local uniqueness and wisdom. Culinary tourism is one of the tourism potentials in this tourist village is Opak Singkong. This cassava opak is sold in raw or fried form. Opak is sold from Rp5-10 thousand per pack that can be used as souvenirs for tourists who come.
