Abstract

The development of social media today accommodate a variety of works. Ideas in the form of photos, videos and writings and even potrait and comics including the types of works that can be found on various social media. Social media both content and characteristics of social media is quite diverse, most social media is a place to socialize, share opinions and chatting through chat but social media a little different is LINE Webtoon. LINE Webtoon is a digital comic reading app that is part of LINE's social media products. Comics on social media LINE Webtoon can be accessed for free and have many different genres and titles. The webtoon user segmentation is quite extensive, ranging from 14 years old to adults including among students. Researchers want to know the influence of social media LINE Webtoon to interest in reading comic students of Riau University. LINE Webtoon social researcher used by students of Riau University and students to respond in the form of interest in reading comics. The purpose of this study to determine the influence of social media LINE Webtoon to interest in reading comic students of Riau University.The method used is the method of quantitative explanation research, data collection techniques in this study using questionnaires. The number of samples in this study were 96 respondents. Sampling using Accidental Sampling. To find out how big the influence of these two variables, the researcher uses a simple linear analysis. For data processing questionnaire, done by using Program Statistic Product And Service Solution (SPSS) Windows version 17.The results of research on the influence of social media LINE Webtoon with indicators (Participation, Openness, Conversation, Community and Interconnected) to the interest in reading comics (the need for reading, reading-seeking, fun to read, interest in reading, continued) on the students of Riau University obtained regression coefficient value Y = 5.904 + 0.610 X with a significance level of 0.000 smaller than α = 0.05. This means that there is an influence of social media LINE Webtoon to interest in reading comics on students of the University of Riau for 49.7% and fall into the middle category of influence is. The percentage indicates that Social Media LINE Webtoon affects reading interest. thus H0 is rejected and Ha accepted.Keyword : Social Media, LINE Webtoon, Interest in reading comics

Abstract

Seeing the ever increasing number of visits, Jemur Island is one of the potential objects that can be developed in Rokan Hilir Regency. Marketing strategies are needed to increase the number of visitors and the competitiveness of tourism products in the market. To increase the number of visitors, and introduce it to the wider community, an appropriate marketing communication strategy is needed by the local government. The purpose of this study  was to  determine how the form of advertising (advertising) carried out by the tourism office of Rokan Hilir Regency in promoting the Jemur Island Tourism Object.This  type  of  research  is  field  research  that  directly  goes  to  the  research  location. This research is qualitative in nature of giving (descriptive) to tell the real things in the field. T he locationof this research was conducted in the tourist attraction of Pulau Jemur, Rokan Hilir Regency. Thesubjects  of  this  research  are  the  Head  of  the  Rokan  Hilir  Regency  Tourism  Office,  the  PublicRelations section of the Tourism Office and other employees because in these sections and positions policies are made and implemented for the development of the island of tourism objects. The object ofresearch is the Marketing Communication Strategy of the Rokan Hilir Regency Tourism Office inincreasing the number of visits to the Jemur Island Tourism Object. Data collection techniques using observation,  interviews  and  documentation.  In  the  data  analysis  process,  researchers  used  aninteractive analysis model. Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis model consists of four components, namely (1) data collection (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, and (4) drawing conclusions.The  results  showed  that  the  advertisements  carried  out  by  the  Department  of  Culture,Tourism, Youth and Sports of Rokan Hilir Regency on Jemur Island with the installation of billboards in an easily visible place, in addition to electronic media such as television was implemented. Sales promotion for Pulau Jemur is by going straight to the barge fire event. In the application of personal selling, namely creating outdoor exhibitions or solo exhibitions. In the implementation of public relations,   cooperation   with   the   mass   media,   including:   television   stations,   magazines   and collaborating with other parties in the development and management of tourist objects. Sale PT. Riau Cahaya Utami increasing annualys the increase in sales is closely linked to customer satisfaction with the product tupperware so high. Costumer satisfaction is a very important thing to do with the developmentof enterprise costumer satifaction effect on loyality. In this case the tupperware home party event use the strategy to mainntain costumer loyality. Amidthe intence competition of plastic house hold products. This study aims to determine segmentation, targeting and positiong (STP) PT. Riau Cahaya Utami in the event tupperware home party and communication strategy PT. Riau Cahaya Utami through tupperware home party event in maintainning costumer loyality.This study uses descriptive qualitative data collection techniques of observation, interview anda documentation. The data obtained are then processed to be reduced, resviting conclusions presented to the public. The informan in this research consisted ofs based on purposive method that researchers use as for keabsahan examination of the data, researchers used a technique extension of participation and triangulation.The results showed the segmentation, targeting and positioning (STP) PT. Abstract

Shopee is an e-commerce application online to do the buying and selling via smartphone with a variety of convenience. Shopee as e-commerce company that is currently a trend in society. The purpose of this research was to know how big the influence of exposure to advertising e-commerce shopee version baby shark on television against interest buy student faculty of social and political sciences of the University of riau.             This research was carried out at the Faculty of social and political sciences of the University of Riau. This research using quantitative methods, with the dissemination of the questionnaire. The samples on this research totalled 166 respondents using the technique of Sampling Purposive. Data collection techniques used are kuesinoner and documentation. The data processing is performed with the SPSS program version 23. The results obtained showed that this research has the significance of these numbers in which 0.000 < 0.05 means that accepted and rejected, it means that the influence between e-commerce advertising exposure Shopee version 'baby shark' on television against the interest to buy Students From the University of Riau and R values indicate a correlation between independent variables with the dependent 0.672 and from the model summary of known value of 0.452 which means that influence between exposure to advertising e-commerce purchasing interest Shopee students, with the influence of 45.2% were categorized.

Abstract

The Information is something that is important for humans because it can help meet their needs. communicator as a source of information must be able to account for the validity of the message conveyed by mastering and understanding the message. Sources with high credibility also have a higher influence in influencing the audience. So the research in this thesis is to answer how much influence Ustadz Abdul Somad has had on the decision of pilgrims to take part in his missionary activities in Pekanbaru.          The study uses quantitative explanatory methods using unknown population techniques with a sample of 166 respondents. Researchers collected data with questionnaires. To find out how much influence between the independent and dependent variables. Researchers use simple linear regression analysis. Data processing of the questionnaire test was carried out using Windows Version 23 SPSS program.   Based on the equation Y = -0.783 + 1,027X + e constant (a) of -0.783. This means that if the credibility of Ustadz Abdul Somad is assumed to be zero (0), then the decision of pilgrims to take part in preaching activities in Pekanbaru is worth -0,783. The regression coefficient value of 1.027 states that if the credibility of Ustadz Abdul Somad has increased by 1 unit, then the decision of pilgrims to take part in preaching activities in Pekanbaru will increase by 1,027 points. This means that the influence of Ustadz Abdul Somad's credibility of 96.5% on the decision of pilgrims to take part in preaching activities in Pekanbaru has a very strong influence.Keywords: Source credibility Theory, Ustadz Abdul Somad, decision-making

Abstract

Communication enables the occurrence of social cooperation, making important agreements, and so forth. In the development of social media, WhatsApp itself is one of the most popular social media in the process of accessing it seems practical and simple compared to other instant social media messaging. Therefore, the use of social media whatsapp can lead to the need for the affiliation of the community of Catholic Youth (OMK) of Santa Maria Pekanbaru. This study uses the theory of Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) with the aim of research is to find out how much influence influence between whatsapp social media on the affiliate needs of the Catholic Youth Community (OMK) of the Catholic Church of Santa Maria Pekanbaru.The method used is quantitative explanation using a saturated sampling technique (census) and a total sample of 100 respondents. The researcher collected data with a questionnaire. To find out how much influence between variables X and Y variables, researchers used simple linear regression analysis. Processing questionnaire test data was carried out using the SPPS program Windows Version 25.Based on the results of simple linear regression, the regression coefficient value obtained in this study is Y = 25.944 + 0.264 X with a significance level of 0.000. The level of significance is smaller than α = 0.05. meaning that there is an influence between whatsapp social media and the affiliate needs of the Catholic Youth Community (OMK) of the Saint Mary Catholic Church in Pekanbaru. The magnitude of the effect that occurs is equal to 12.2% and entered into the category of influence is very weak, the remaining 87.8% is influenced by other variables not included in the study. This percentage shows that each person can vary in using social media owned and depends on how they are used. It turns out that the respondent's affiliate needs are fulfilled not only through whatsapp social media, but also the needs of affiliates can be fulfilled by accessing other social media such as Instagram, Facebook, Line, and so on. With these results, in this study it was found that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted.Key Word: Media Social, Theory of CMC, The needs of affiliation

Abstract

The entry of online taxi to Pekanbaru has made Blue Bird Group Pekanbaru make a change from conventional taxis to online taxis and do promotional activities as a strategy to maintain the existence. The purpose of this study was to determine the strategy in maintaining the existence of the company and to determine the promotion mix strategy in maintaining the existence of Blue Bird taxi transportation services in Pekanbaru. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques, interviews, unstructured observation, and documentation. The research subjects used purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used in this research was the interactive model of Miles and Huberman and the data validity technique used was the extension of participation and triangulation.The result found that Blue Bird Group Pekanbaru has made a strategy to maintain existence of collaborating with Gojek which launched GoBlueBird and GoCar service also launched My Blue Bird online taxi. Blue Bird Group Pekanbaru also did some promotional mix activities are include advertising promotion, sales promotion activities, internet marketing activities, and event marketing activities to defend the existence of the Blue Bird Group Pekanbaru. Keywords: Strategy, Promotion mix, Existence, Blue Bird

Abstract

The rise of social media is the new media can be used as marketing at once to do consumer interaction, called social media marketing. One of the social media marketing which is now popular among business people, IE blackberry messenger. Through this application can send a message text, sound, and images for free about their business or place information and promotions offered from their products so that it formed an interest to buy from someone, with the blackberry messenger messages or information submitted can attract the attention of consumers so that it appears consumer interest was bought from them. It is utilized by the sales marketing PT Agung Automall (Agung Toyota) Harapan Raya Pekanbaru, to draw the attention or interest of consumers buy in blackberry messenger. The purpose of this study, i.e. to find out how big the influence of social media marketing through blackberry messsenger against consumer interest in buying PT Agung Automall (Agung Toyota) Harapan Raya Pekanbaru. The theory used in this research is the theory of S-O-R by Hovland and the concept of social media marketing as a supporter. The methods used in this study i.e. quantitative empirical research methods. Researchers gather data using questionnaires and documentation. The location of this research, PT Agung Automall (Agung Toyota) Harapan Raya located at JL. h. Imam Munandar/Harapan Raya Tip No. 13 Pekanbaru. The number of samples for the study that is as much as 91 respondents, using the technique of withdrawal sample Simple Random Sampling. For the sake of knowing how big the influence both of these variables, the researchers used a simple linear regression analysis. While the test questionnaire for data processing, is done using Statistics program Product anf Service Solution (SPSS)20 version of Windows. Based on the results of a simple linear regression for the study of the influence of social media marketing through blackberry messenger consumer buying interest against the PT Agung Automall (Agung Toyota) Harapan Raya Pekanbaru, the regression coefficient values obtained in this study were Y = 0.548 X + with 2.442 level significance 0.000. Of course smaller than α = 0.05. That is, there is the influence of social media marketing through blackberry messenger consumer buying interest against the PT Agung Automall (Agung Toyota) Harapan Raya Pekanbaru 55.3% and enter influencial in the category of being. H0 is rejected and thus Ha is received.JOM

Abstract

The development of information and communication technologies become a topic which widely discussed at this time especially when associated with the functions of government. The implementation of government using information and communication technologies in its development known as e-Government. It has the aim to improve the quality of public service, increas the efficiency and public transparency. As well as many other positive benefits. E-Government is a new innovation that needs to be done by government institutions. The Local Government of Riau Province in this case trying to realize the Law Decree No. 14 of 2008 concerning public disclosure through the implementation of website as a media of public information in the Riau Provincial Government. The applied media public information is www.riau.go.id as the official portal of Riau Provincial Government and this as a bridge of communication between the Local Government with public and Local Government with other Local Governments. This study used descriptive method with qualitative approach. The object of this study is the implementation of electronic government (e-gov) through the implementation website of Riau Provincial Government to achieve public transparency with the subject of 10 people. 6 people from the communications of informatics and electronics data processing department, 3 people from the user public, and 1 person from the public relations bureau secretariat of Riau Province by taking subjects using purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique in this study using in-depth observation, interview and documentation. The result of this study is public service that exist in this e-Gov has 3 classes, namely class publication, class interaction, and class transaction. Riau Provincial Government showed that the implementation of government website in class publication and class interaction have been done, while the class transaction they can not do it. In class publication, Riau Provincial Government has provided a variety if data and information in the form of news and documentations (photos and video) that can be accessed by public freely and transparently. In class interaction, it has provided facility for people to be able to participate through this website, as fas as this form of interaction that is available in the form of indirect interaction.
