Abstract

Hira Batik is an SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) in Batam City specializing in batik fashion which faces inventory management challenges due to the absence of a system to record incoming and sold products. This lack of documentation makes it difficult to track inventory levels, potentially leading to errors in stock management. To address this issue, the author has designed an inventory system using the Microsoft Access application. The data collection approach involves direct interviews with the SME to understand inventory management processes, challenges faced, and system requirements. Additionally, secondary data techniques are utilized to gain further insights into best practices in inventory management. The proposed system aims to assist Hira Batik in monitoring, recording, and managing inventory more efficiently and accurately. The results for Hira Batik show a significant change in warehouse checks, now utilizing an inventory system designed to make a significant contribution and facilitate the recording of transaction data and transaction history.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of behavioral finance on stock investment decision-making in Indonesia, considering both rational and irrational behaviors. Key behavioral finance factors, including overconfidence, herding bias, mental accounting, and loss aversion, are examined to understand their impact on stock investment decisions, the financial literacy as moderating variables has been added to the model. A self-administered questionnaires were distributed to 391 active trading stock investor in Indonesia. Using Partial Least Squares method, the results shows that loss aversion and overconfidence negatively influence the investment decision. Further, the analysis confirmed the role of financial literacy as moderating variable for mental accounting and overconfidence. It is also consistent with the notion that financial literacy at least in terms of mental accounting biases under some conditions might actually reinforce certain specific cognitive shortcuts. This study’s results suggest policymakers and financial educators should work to increase investors’ literacy about finance, as well as their ability to identify biases they hold which could be used against them when making investment decisions.

Abstract

Research Originality:  This study examines the relationship between ESG and Islamic stocks under the exceptional circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic. Researchers included the stock volatility and involved policy stringency, extending the recent literature focusing on accounting-based performance.Research Objectives: This study examines the relationship between ESG practices and Islamic stock performance during the COVID-19 pandemic.Research Methods: This study applied panel regression analysis. Researchers used Shariah-compliant stocks with ESG scores ranging from 2020 to 2022, resulting in 96 observations.Empirical Results: This study posits the ability of Social and Governance practices to reduce market volatility. The stringency of COVID-19 significantly affected stock volatility, highlighting the importance of government intervention during the Pandemic.Implications: These findings support the need for implementing measures and regulations that incentivize companies to adopt comprehensive ESG practices, which are expected to contribute to stock market stability, particularly during turbulent times.JEL Classification: J6, M2, O3How to Cite:Agustin, I. Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology today is influenced by several factors such as the use of internet technology, the development of smartphones, the emergence of various social media, the development of e-commerce, and the number of people who actively use the internet. This community service activity aims to find the right and effective marketing strategy to promote food products by paying attention to the development of digital marketing in Rumah Makan Sunda Kharisma, particularly through social media. In addition, a descriptive qualitative approach was used in this study, while the data collection was done through observation, in-depth interviews with owners, consumers and documentation. After several implementation of social media marketing in this Small Medium Enterprise, the results stated that promotions using social media such as Instagram (IG) and paid promotions can increase awareness and customer’s purchase intention. This can be seen from the enhancement of social engagement and increase in sales during the community service activities.ABSTRAKPesatnya perkembangan teknologi pada era digital saat ini dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti penggunaan teknologi internet, perkembangan smartphone, munculnya berbagai media sosial, berkembangnya e-commerce, dan banyaknya masyarakat yang aktif menggunakan internet. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menemukan strategi pemasaran yang tepat dan efektif guna mempromosikan produk makanan dengan memperhatikan perkembangan pemasaran digital pada Rumah Makan Sunda Kharisma, terutama pemasaran melalui media sosial. Selain itu, pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, sedangkan pengumpulan datanya dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan pemilik, konsumen, dan dokumentasi. Setelah beberapa implementasi pemasaran melalui media sosial, hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa promosi menggunakan media sosial seperti Instagram, Facebook, dan promosi berbayar dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dan minat beli pelanggan. Hal ini dapat dilihat melalui peningkatan komunikasi dengan pelanggan dan peningkatan penjualan selama kegiatan pengabdian Masyarakat.

Abstract

Fundamental Analysis and Technical Analysis have long been used by investors as an analysis instrument to predict the stock price in gaining optimal return. The purpose of this study is to test the predictive ability of Fundamental Analysis and Technical Analysis model partially, then simultaneously test the integrated model of both analysis. The scope of this study includes the listed companies in LQ 45 stock exchange during 2007- 2016 period. The Fundamental Variable used in this study are Earning per Share (EPS), Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) and Return on Equity (ROE). The Technical Variable used is the price during the previous six months ( price t-0.5), Positive extreme price increase (D-Up), and Negative extreme price decline momentum (D-Down). The result of this study shows that Technical Model produces highest predictive ability compared to the other two models, while Integration model produces higher predictive ability compared to fundamental model. Using Integration model, EPS variable affects positively and significant, DPR variable affects negatively and insignificant, ROE variable, t-0.5, and D-Up affect positively and significant, while variable D down affects negatively and insignificant to the Stock Price. This result indicates that investors need to combine both analysis models i.e. fundamental and technical to generate optimal stock returns. Abstract

AbstrakDi era globalisasi ini kemajuan teknologi yang pesat telah memfasilitasi peningkatan signifikan dalam banyak aspek kehidupan sosial, termasuk kehadiran teknologi keuangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh antara financial technology (Fintech) terhadap kinerja perbankan di Indonesia. Fintech diukur melalui tiga proxy, yaitu Mobile Banking, Internet Banking dan SMS Banking. Jenis penelitian menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Pendekatan dan metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif adalah jenis penelitian yang hasil penemuannya diperoleh dari analisa data berupa angka. Dengan kata lain, bagian-bagian temuan disusun secara sistematis untuk mencari keterkaitan antara satu dan lainnya hingga dapat diambil kesimpulan. Metode penarikan sampel yang digunakan yaitu Purposive Sampling, menghasilkan sebanyak 12 bank yang layak dipilih sebagai sampel pada periode tahun 2017 – 2022. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis regresi panel, hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa Mobile Banking dan Internet Banking berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Return on Assets dan Return on Equity, sedangkan SMS Banking tidak menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja perbankan. Hasil studi ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi terhadap practitioner, perbankan, akademisi dan pengambil kebijakan dalam memanfaatkan financial technology untuk meningkatkan kinerja perbankan terutama di Indonesia. kata kunci : teknologi keuangan; kinerja perbankan; mobile banking; internet banking; sms banking AbstractIn this era of globalization, rapid technological advances have facilitated significant improvements in many aspects of social life, including the presence of financial technology. This study aims to look at the influence between financial technology (Fintech) on banking performance in Indonesia. Fintech is measured through three proxies, namely Mobile Banking, Internet Banking and SMS Banking. This type of research uses descriptive research. The approach and research methods used in this study using quantitative methods are a type of research whose findings are obtained from analyzing data in the form of numbers. In other words, the parts of the findings are arranged systematically to find the relationship between one and the other until conclusions can be drawn. The sample withdrawal method used is Purposive Sampling, resulting in 12 banks that are eligible to be selected as samples in the period 2017 - 2022. Using the panel regression analysis method, the results of this study show that Mobile Banking and Internet Banking have a significant effect on Return on Assets and Return on Equity, while SMS Banking does not show a significant effect on banking performance. The results of this study are expected to contribute to practitioners, banks, academics and policy makers in utilizing financial technology to improve banking performance, especially in Indonesia. Keywords: financial technology; banking performance; mobile banking; internet banking; sms banking

Abstract

AbstrakKajian dalam penelitin ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang dampak penerapan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif pada staf manajerial pemerintah daerah di wilayah Sumatera Utara. Selanjutnya, metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif sedangkan dalam penarikan sampel menggunakan random sampling, dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 786 responden yaitu para pegawai Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) Pemerintah Daerah. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah melalui penyebaran kuesioner yang diukur berdasarkan skala likert. Selanjutnya, analisis data yang diperoleh diolah dengan bantuan software Smart PLS 3.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan melalui peningkatan penerapan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional maka dapat ditingkatkan perilaku kerja inovatif ASN pemerintah daerah khususnya di wilayah provinsi Sumatera Utara. Lebih lanjut, pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan transformasional di sektor publik menguntungkan hubungan antara pemimpin dan bawahannya karena potensi hambatan inovasi yang dipersepsikan oleh bawahan disingkirkan atau dihilangkan oleh pemberdayaan psikologis dan komitmen afektif ASN. Kata kunci: gaya kepemimpinan transformasional; perilaku kerja inovatif; ASN  AbstractThe study in this research aims to find out the impact of implementing a transformational leadership style on innovative work behavior in regional government managerial staff in the North Sumatra region.  Furthermore, the method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method, while sampling uses random sampling, with a total of 786 respondents, namely local government Civil Service (ASN) employees. Data was collected through distributing questionnaires which were measured based on a likert scale. Next, the data obtained was processed with the help of Smart PLS 3.0 software. The results of the research show that there is an influence of the transformational leadership style on innovative work behavior, so it can be concluded that by increasing the application of the transformational leadership style, the innovative work behavior of local government ASN can be improved, especially in the North Sumatra province. Furthermore, the influence of the transformational leadership style in the public sector benefits the relationship between leaders and their subordinates because potential barriers to innovation perceived by subordinates are removed or eliminated by the psychological empowerment and affective commitment of ASNs. Keywords: transformational leadership style; innovative work behavior; ASN

Abstract

Purpose: This study investigates the relationship between Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance and firm value, with profitability—measured by Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE)—serving as the moderating variable.Method: Data were collected from companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) over five years (2019-2023). Control variables include firm size, firm age, and leverage. This study employs a quantitative approach, utilizing panel data regression on 209 firm-year observations from IDX-listed companies. Tobin’s Q serves as a proxy for firm value, while the ESG score is the independent variable, moderated by profitability.Result: The findings indicate that ESG performance positively affects firm value in the base model. However, this effect turns negative when profitability is included as a moderator. Notably, the interaction term ESG*ROE has a significant positive effect, suggesting that higher profitability (as reflected by ROE) enhances the positive impact of ESG on firm value. In contrast, ROA does not exhibit a significant moderating effect.Practical Implications for Economic Growth and Development: This study underscores the importance of integrating sustainability efforts (ESG) with strong financial performance to create long-term value. This insight is crucial for policymakers and investors aiming to promote responsible business practices and sustainable economic development.Originality/Value: This study examines the moderating role of profitability—specifically ROA and ROE—in the relationship between ESG performance and firm value. By focusing on an emerging market context, this research offers insights on how different dimensions of profitability influence the ESG–firm value nexus.

Abstract

Toko Henny merupakan sebuah usaha yang bergerak di bidang perdagangan kebutuhan sehari-hari dan bahan memasak lainnya. Meskipun sudah berdiri sejak lama, Toko Henny belum sepenuhnya mengikuti perkembangan teknologi yang semakin pesat dalam memasarkan produk usahanya sehingga menghambat efesiensi operasional dan strategi pemasaran yang kurang efektif. Oleh karena itu, penulis berkerja sama dengan pemilik Toko Henny untuk menerapkan strategi marketing mix yang lebih terintegrasi seperti penerapan desain logo, penerapan akun media sosial beserta dengan konten yang menarik, penerapan Google Maps untuk mempermudah pelanggan dalam menemukan lokasi mitra, penerapan promosi iklan (Ads), serta penerapan pembayaran digital berupa QRIS yang dapat memudahkan pelanggan untuk melakukan transaksi pembayaran non-tunai. Melalui hasil peracangan implementasi strategi pemasaran ini, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efesiensi operasional dan memperkuat citra merek (Brand Image) pada Toko Henny di era digital saat ini

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dari CSR (Corporate social responsibility) terhadap kinerja perusahaan yang terdaftar dalam BEI (Bursa Efek Indonesia) dengan menggunakan sampel indeks SRI-KEHATI. Pengukuran pada firm performance dengan menggunakan ROA (Return on Assets) sebagai variabel dependen sedangkan variabel independen menggunakan CSR dan leverage dengan pengukuran indikator menggunakan ESG (Environment, Social dan Govarnance) pada CSR yang didukung dengan variabel kontrol seperti leverage. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa ESG tidak signifikan pengaruh terhadap kinerja perusahaan, namun leverage memiliki signifikan positif terhadap kinerja perusahaan
