Abstract

Lobster (Panulirus sp.) is one of the export commodities from fisheries which gives a quite high contribution of fisheries world, and has an important economic value. This high economic value are encouraging fisherman to catch lobster continuously. One of the fishing gear that can be operated is krendet. Krendet is a fishing gear that operated passively by the use of bait as atracted lobster. The purpose of this research are to understand and analyze the effect of different form of krendet, length of immersion differences and also the interaction between forms and length immersion towards the catches of lobster in cilacap water boundaries. The materials used were boat as transportation, krendet, and GPS to determain position. The method used in the research is experimental fishing method with 16 repetitions and 4 times treatments. The analyze of the data was used in this research normality test and ANOVA test with SPSS 17.0. The result showed the used of krendet forms and the length of immersion differences affected to the catches where the square shape and 12 hours of immersion are giving more catches. There is no interaction effect between krendet forms and length of immersion towards the catches of lobster.

Abstract

PPN Kejawanan di Cirebon dilengkapi dengan fasilitas pokok, fungsional dan penunjang. Fasilitas yang dimiliki oleh PPN Kejawanan sudah lengkap akan tetapi tidak terlihat bekerja secara maksimal. Pembuatan strategi pengembangan PPN Kejawanan memerlukan analisis SWOT, untuk merumuskan strategi pengembangan PPN Kejawanan kedepan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kondisi fisik fasilitas pelabuhan di PPN Kejawanan, meliputi fasilitas pokok, fungsional dan penunjang, menganalisis tingkat pemanfaatan fasilitas pelabuhan di PPN Kejawanan saat ini dan untuk 5 tahun ke depan dan menyusun strategi pengembangan PPN Kejawanan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari 2015. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan data primer dilakukan dengan observasi langsung dan wawancara, sedangkan pengambilan data sekunder dilakukan dengan mengambil data dan informasi dari instansi-instansi yang mendukung penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kondisi fisik fasilitas pokok, fungsional dan penunjang PPN Kejawanan, Cirebon dalam keadaan baik. Tingkat pemanfaatan fasilitas pokok seperti kedalaman alur pelayaran sebesar 92%, kedalaman kolam pelabuhan sebesar 97%, kapasitas kolam pelabuhan sebesar 98%, kapasitas dermaga dengan posisi tambat tegak lurus sebesar 70% dan lahan pelabuhan sebesar 76%. Fasilitas fungsional seperti instalasi BBM sebesar 42%, docking kapal sebesar 13%, TPI dan pabrik es tidak dimanfaatkan. Estimasi dalam jangka waktu 5 tahun ke depan, jumlah produksi ikan, jumlah kapal, jumlah alat tangkap, jumlah perbekalan BBM dan air bersih meningkat antara 10-14%. Hasil analisis SWOT untuk menunjukkan strategi pengembangan PPN Kejawanan, Cirebon menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang harus dilakukan oleh PPN Kejawanan adalah strategi S-O (Strenght-Opportunity).  PPN Kejawanan in Cirebon equipped with main, functional and support facilities. PPN Kejawanan’s facilities is complete but not working optimall. SWOT analysis is required to formulate a strategy of port development. The purpose of this research, to know the physical condition of the port facilities in PPN Kejawanan, main, functional and support facilities. Analyze the level of utilization of port facilities in PPN Kejawanan for now and  the next 5 years and to compose the strategy of PPN Kejawanan development. This research was implemented on January 2015. This research  used is descriptive method with approach of case study. Data collection which was performed through direct observation, interviews and secondary data collectionat the agencies that related to research. The results showed that the physical condition of port facilities mostly good. The utilization rate of basic facilities such as the depth of navigation channel 92%, the depth of the pool harbor 97%, the capacity of harbor 98%, the capacity of the pier with mooring position perpendicular 70% and the land of port 76%. Functional facilities such as the installation of BBM 42%, docking 13%, TPI and ice plants are not utilized. The estimates for total production of fish, total of boats, total of fishing gear, total supplies of fuel and water increased 10-14%. The result of SWOT analysis  indicate that the strategy should be used to PPN Kejawanan is S-O strategy (Strength-Opportunity).

Abstract

Alat tangkap purse seine adalah alat tangkap yang menghasilkan produksi paling besar diantara alat tangkap lainnya di Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara Pekalongan. Hasil tangkapan alat tangkap purse seine didominasi oleh ikan pelagis kecil. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui komposisi hasil tangkapan purse seine; menganalisis keuntungan; dan menganalisis aspek finansial. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode survei. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan multistage sampling. Purse seine dibagi 2 strata yaitu kapal purse seine ukuran 60-90 GT dan ukuran >90 GT. Analisis dilakukan pada komposisi hasil tangkapan dan finansial kapal purse seine. Analisis finansial usaha menghitung PP,NPV,R/C ratio,dan IRR. Hasilnya menunjukkan hasil tangkapan kapal purse seine ukuran 60-90 GT maupun >90 GT didominasi ikan Layang (Decapterus sp). Rata-rata keuntungan per tahun yang didapatkan oleh kapal purse seine ukuran 60-90 GT adalah Rp. 410.718.500,- sedangkan pada kapal purse seine ukuran >90 GT adalah Rp. 534.058.873,-. Hasil analisis PP dari kapal purse seine ukuran 60-90 GT dan kapal purse seine ukuran >90 GT masing-masing yaitu 3,38 dan 2,39. NPV kapal purse seine ukuran 60-90 GT dan ukuran >90 GT masing-masing yaitu Rp. 1.832.448.823,- dan Rp. 980.692.500,-. R/C ratio kapal purse seine ukuran 60-90 GT adalah 1,72 sedangkan kapal purse seine ukuran >90 GT adalah 2,39. IRR kapal purse seine ukuran 60-90 GT dan ukuran >90 GT yaitu 35% dan 22%.

Abstract

Udang merupakan komoditas unggulan hasil perikanan untuk ekspor di Indonesia. Di perairan Indonesia terdapat lebih dari 83 jenis udang Penaeid. Udang Tiger (Penaeus Semisulcatus) salah satu komoditi udang yang ada di perairan Arafura. Alat tangkap yang digunakan saat penelitian adalah alat tangkap pukat udang (double rig shrimp net), cara pengoperasian alat tangkap menggunakan dua jaring pada sisi kanan dan kiri kapal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil tangkapan udang Tiger (Penaeus Semisulcatus) pada siang dan malam hari, selain itu juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi hasil tangkapan udang pada alat tangkap pukat udang (double rig shrimp net). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah deskriptif. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data penelitian adalah metode survei lapangan dengan mengikuti langsung kegiatan operasi penangkapan alat tangkap pukat udang kapal KM. Kurnia no 5. Penelitian ini dilakukan mulai tanggal 29 Juni – 22 juli 2013 dengan jumlah 84 hauling. Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu udang Tiger (Penaeus semisulcatus) 84% (1911 kg), udang Ende (Metapenaeus sp.) 7% (156 kg), udang Banana (Penaeus merguensis) 3% (62 kg), udang Sakura (Metapenaeus ensis) 2% (52 kg), udang Yellow (Latisucatus sp.)2% (48 kg), dan udang Kiji (Metapenaeus ebaracensis) 2% (50 kg). Hasil udang Tiger (Penaeus Semisulcatus) pada siang hari sebanyak 960 kg sedangkan malam hari sebanyak 951 kg. Berdasarkan analisa Uji T-test dihasilkan bahwa perbedaan waktu siang dan malam hari tidak mempunyai perbedaan nyata dengan nilai signifikansi 0,913 (>α=0,05). Shrimp is an excellent commodity for export of fishery products in Indonesia. In the waters of Indonesia, there are more than 83 types of penaeid shrimp. Tiger shrimp (Penaeus Semisulcatus) one commodity shrimp in the waters of the Arafura. Fishing gear used when research is shrimp net fishing gear (double rig shrimp net), how the operation of fishing gear used two nets on the right side and left the ship. This study aimed to determine differences in the catch Tiger shrimp (Penaeus Semisulcatus) on the day and night, but it also aims to determine the composition of the catch of shrimp in shrimp net gear (double rig shrimp net). The method used in this research is descriptive. The method used in this research is a method of data collection by field survey operations immediately following the fishing of shrimp net vessels KM. Kurnia no 5. This study was conducted from June 29 - July 22, 2013, with the number 84 hauling. The results obtained are Tiger Shrimp 84% (1911 kg), Ende shrimp (Metapenaeus sp.) 7% (156 kg), Banana shrimp (Penaeus merguensis) 3% (62 kg), Sakura shrimp (Metapenaeus ensis) 2% (52 kg), Yellow shrimp (Latisucatus sp.) 2% (48 kg), and Kiji shrimp (Metapenaeus ebaracensis) 2% (50 kg). Results Tiger Shrimp (Penaeus Semisulcatus) during the day as much as 960 kg, while the evening as much as 951 kg. Based on the analysis of T-test Test result that the difference between day and night has no real difference with a significance value of 0.913 (> α = 0.05).

Abstract

The activity of hairtail fish catching is usually used handline. It’s because hairtail fish which caught by fishhook still in good and fresh condition, therefore it has high sale value. The purpose of the research was to analyzed the hairtail fish catching by the used of bait and the different size of fish hook then begin to analyzed the interaction between the used of fish hook barb and kinds of bait hairtail fish catching. The research was used experimental fishing methods which have 2 variabel which are bait and the size of fish hook barb with 4 treatmens (bait of tembang, bait of hairtail,the hook with number 8, the hook with number 10). Each experiment must be done with 10 time repeated. Data analysis is using normality test experiment and ANOVA test with SPSS 17.0. The result of test was showed the differences of tembang bait and hairtail bait influence to the amount of hairtail fish catching. The result of bait hairtail number 8 was 43 pieces, tembang bait number 8 is 24 pieces and tembang bait number 10 was 19 pieces. The ANOVA test was showed that the used of fishhook tools with hairtail bait combination and the size of fishhook number 8 is a better ones.

Abstract

Lobster (Panulirus sp) adalah salah satu komoditi perairan karang yang mempunyai nilai jual tinggi yakni mencapai Rp 320.000,-/ kg, yang sampai saat ini produksinya masih dihasilkan dari penangkapan. Krendet adalah jenis alat tangkap yang bersifat pasif, dipasang pada dasar perairan seputar terumbu karang, dengan pengoperasian yang baik dan benar penangkapan lobster atau ikan dengan krendet ini tidak akan merusak karang.Pemilihan umpan umumnya mendasarkan pada harga murah dan mudah untuk mendapatkan. Penggunaan umpan pada pengoperasian suatu alat tangkap berfungsi untuk mengundang atau merangsang ikan sehingga sistem pengoperasian yang dilakukan akan lebih efektif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbedaan waktu dan pengaruh umpan terhadap hasil tangkapan Lobster (Panulirus sp) di perairan Watukarung.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November sampai Desember 2013. Materi yang digunakan adalah umpan kulit sapi, umpan krunken (Chiton sp), alat tangkap Krendet (Trap Net) dan Perahu Jukung. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode experimental fishing yaitu dengan melakukan kegiatan operasi penangkapan secara langsung di lapangan. Analisis data diolah menggunakan SPSS 21 dengan uji t.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa waktu terbaik dalam penangkapan lobster adalah malam hari dimana waktu penangkapan malam hari mendapatkan hasil tangkapan yang lebih banyak dibandingkan siang hari. Hasil analisis  perbedaan jenis umpan menunjukkan bahwa umpan kulit sapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap hasil tangkapan (P > 0,05) dimana umpan krunken (Chiton sp) memberikan hasil tangkapan lebih banyak daripada jenis umpan kulit sapi. Lobster (Panulirus sp) is one of fisheries commodities with high value reach Rp 320.000,-/ kg, these yield producted by catch. Krendet is passive fishing gear set around the chorals, with the right operation, catch lobsters or fishes by krendet would not destruct the choral.Selection of bait generally base on cheap price and easy to get. The usage of bait for the operation of a fishing gear as a firncfion of to invite or stimulate of fish so that conducted operation system will be more than effective. The objective of this study was to find out the effect of the differences time and the effect bait on the products of Lobster (Panulirus sp) in Watukarung waters.This research had been done on November to December 2013 in Watukarung water, Pacitan. The material that been used are cowhide bait, Krunken (Chiton sp) bait, Krendet (Trap Net) fishing gear and  jukung boat. The method used is an experimental fishing method is to conduct fishing operations directly in the field. Analysis of the data was processed using SPSS 21 with t test.The results showed that evening is the best time to catch, which the time of arrest in the evening get more catches than during the day. The results of the analysis in differences type of bait showed that cowhide bait had no effect on the catches (P > 0,05) in which the Krunken (Chiton sp) bait gave more catches than  cowhide bait.

Abstract

The mainly target of the operational of pole and line is skipjack tuna. Pole and line is a type of fishing gear that consist of pole, line and hook. The purpose of this research were to analyze the effect of artificial bait’s colours against total catch, to analyze the effect of type of live bait against total catch, and to analyze the interaction between the colours of artificial bait and live bait against total catch. The research was done in March-April 2012 in PPI Dufa-dufa Ternate. The research was used experimental fishing methods which have two variables they are: the color of artificial bait and live bait with 4 types of treatment. Normality test and ANOVA test by SPSS 16.0 was employed to analyze data.. The results of this research showed that the difference colours of artificial bait and live bait was effected the total catch of skipjack tuna it was seen from the total catch of anchovy artificial red bait as much as 544, and the total catch of anchovy artificial green bait fish as much as 329, the total catch of scad mackerel artificial red bait as much as 425 and the total catch of scad mackerel artificial green bait as much as 272. ANOVA test results showed that using pole and line with anchovy live bait and artificial red bait is better to be used.

Abstract

Usaha penangkapan rajungan di Desa Semat Kabupaten Jepara dengan menggunakan alat tangkap bubu lipat sudah dilakukan oleh nelayan setempat yang tergabung dalam kelompok nelayan “RIZQI LUMINTU” dengan operasi penangkapan di perairan pantai 1-3 mil dari bibir pantai. Umpan yang sering dipakai oleh nelayan setempat adalah umpan ikan rucah yang diasinkan. Dilihat dari segi teknis, apakah dengan menggunakan umpan lain seperti nonkarkas (sisa-sisa bagian ayam) berpengaruh relatif besar atau tidak terhadap hasil tangkapan rajungan karena apabila berpengaruh akan menjadi umpan alternatif jika tidak ada ikan-ikan murah atau tidak musim. Untuk itu penyusun melakukan penelitian menggunakan umpan selain ikan rucah yaitu dengan umpan usus ayam dengan lama perendaman berbeda yaitu 9 jam, 12 jam dan 15 jam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah experimental fishing yaitu dengan mengoperasikan bubu lipat sebanyak 300 unit terbagi 3 lajur yang masing-masing 100 unit dengan umpan usus ayam 50 unit disetiap lajurnya dengan sistem selang-seling dan melakukan perendaman yang berbeda dengan lama perendaman 12 jam sebagai kontrol serta 6 kali pengulangan pada tiap variabel. Analisa data menggunakan regresi dan korelasi dengan menggunakan MS.Excel. Hasil analisis data diperoleh Nilai Significance F = 0,004 (9 jam); 0,0009 (12 jam) dan 0,01 (15 jam) untuk hubungan lama perendaman dengan umpan nonkarkas rajungan yang tertangkap, hasil tersebut menunjukkan H0 ditolak (<0,05) sehingga terdapat interaksi antara kedua variabel dan 0,001 (9 jam); 0,001 (12 jam) dan 0,01 (15 jam) untuk hubungan antara lama perendaman dengan jumlah hasil tangkapan, hasil tersebut menunjukkan H0 ditolak (<0,05) sehingga terdapat interaksi antara kedua variabel tersebut. Swimming Crab fishing effort in Semat Village Jepara district using a collapsible trap fishing gear has been carried out by local fishermen who are members of a group of fishermen "RIZQI LUMINTU" with fishing operations in coastal waters 1-3 miles off shore. Bait is often used by local fishermen bait trash fish is marinated. Viewed from a technical standpoint, whether by using other baits such as noncarcass (remnants of chicken parts) are relatively large effect or not to catch crabs for feed when the effect would be an alternative if no fish are low or no season. To the author conducts research using trash fish bait in addition to that with the chicken gut bait with different soaking time is 9 hours, 12 hours and 15 hours. The method used is an experimental fishing is to operate the traps as much as 300 units divided into three rows, each 100 units to feed chicken intestine 50 units each row system with alternating and perform immersion different soaking time 12 hours as control and 6 repetitions on each variable. Data were analyzed using regression and correlation using Ms.Excel. Results of analysis of data obtained Significance F value = 0,004 (9 hour); 0,0009 (12 hour) and 0,01 (15 hour) for prolonged submersion relationship with noncarcass swimming crab bait caught, these results indicate H0 (<0.05), so there is interaction between the two variables and 0,001 (9 hour); 0,001 (12 hour) and 0,01 (15 hour) for the relationship between the long soaking the number of catches, these results indicate H0 (< 0.05) so that there is interaction between the two variables.

Abstract

The development pattern of Eretan Wetan Coastal Fishery Port needs to be adjust to the development of fishery activities. The aims of this research are to analyze operational level PPP Eretan Wetan and analyze the level of utilization of basic and functional facilities. As soon as formulating to strategies building the operational capacity of PPP Eretan Wetan. The used method is by using the descriptive survey method with case study. Data are collected through observation, interviews, documentation and collected data from PPP Eretan Wetan. Data collection process is limited only in the periode of 2007 – 2011. SWOT analysis is used to determine the operational capacity. From the research result, it can be found that the level operational and utilization rate of facilities in PPP Eretan Wetan not all used optimally, can be seen from the use of the pier, which is 12,5% and 27% auction house. Strategy to increase the operational capacity of P PP Eretan Wetan is: continue the development of PPP aggressively, quickly add basic amenities, functional and support that has not been met, groove cruise facilities should frequently in dredging due to silting, providing docking facilities and ice plants; addition of fleet fishing vessels, so that fish production can be optimized, increasing the quality of human resources through training and empowerment of fishermen and baskets, Developing cooperation with the fish processing industry; additional support facilities and improved quality of fish marketing facilities to support the marketing of fish, and increase the number of environmentally friendly fishing gear that accordance with the target economically important fisheries.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kesejahteraan nelayan Payang di Desa Munjungagung Kecamatan Kramat Kabupaten Tegal dengan menggunakan indikator kesejahteraan gabungan berdasarkan Badan Pusat Statistik tahun 2007 dan Pridaningsih tahun 2011. Cara pengambilan sampel dengan simple random sampling. Data kesejahteraan diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam  berdasarkan kuesioner dan observasi lapangan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan scoring 14 indikator kesejahteraan gabungan dan berdasarkan konsep Nilai Tukar Nelayan (NTN). Hasil analisis berdasarkan indikator kesejahteraan gabungan diperoleh bahwa nelayan juragan Payang termasuk kategori sejahtera tinggi dengan rata-rata skor 38, sedangkan nelayan ABK Payang sebanyak 48 orang termasuk sejahtera tinggi dengan skor rata-rata 36 dan 9 orang ABK termasuk sejahtera sedang dengan skor rata-rata 33. Analisis secara  NTN bidang perikanan nelayan ABK Payang memiliki nilai 0,88 (NTN<1) yang berarti nelayan termasuk tingkat sejahtera rendah sedangkan nelyan juragan memiliki nilai 1,11 (NTN>1) atau termasuk sejahtera tinggi. Rata-rata NTN total pendapatan ABK Payang 1,48 dan rata-rata NTN total pendapatan juragan Payang 1,18 (NTN>1) yang berarti keduanya termasuk dalam kriteria tingkat sejahtera tinggi. The purpose of this research to analyze of Danish Seine fisherman welfare level in Munjungagung village, Kramat District, Tegal Regency used welfare level indicators based on Badan Pusat Statistik, 2007 and Pridaningsih, 2011. This research used simple random sampling through deeply interview and observation. Analyze scoring for 14 welfare level modification and based on NTN concept. The result of welfare modification indicators analysis are all employer is high prosperous level with the average 38 score and the average score for 48 crews is 36 (high prosperous level), 9 crews having average 33 score (medium prosperous level). The result of  NTN concept for fisheries, the crews having average score NTN 0,88 (low prosperous level) and average NTN score for the employers is 1.11 (high prosperous level). Based on total salary of NTN analysis showed that the value of crews is 1.48 and the value of employer NTN is 1.18 so both of them is high prosperous level.
