Abstract

Abstract: Cybercrime from the perspective of Islamic criminal law presents significant challenges in formulating appropriate sanctions in the digital era, particularly as the rapid development of information technology has generated new forms of crime that are not explicitly addressed in classical Islamic legal literature. This study aims to evaluate the extent to which the principles of Islamic criminal law can accommodate the phenomenon of cybercrime and how contemporary ijtihad can be applied to formulate fair and relevant sanctions. Using a normative legal approach through the analysis of classical and contemporary Islamic legal sources, this study finds the necessity of reformulating the concepts of jarīmah and ta‘zīr within the digital context to preserve the continued relevance of Islamic criminal law. This reformulation involves expanding the concept of jarīmah to include the protection of digital data as māl mutaqawwim (legally recognized property) and developing proportionate digital ta‘zīr sanctions based on the severity and impact of the offense. Such reformulation must remain aligned with the objectives of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah the protection of religion, life, intellect, lineage, and property given that cybercrime poses significant threats to moral and social security. Therefore, the enforcement of Islamic criminal law should emphasize preventive and educational measures while also engaging constructively with positive law to establish a comprehensive and adaptive legal framework responsive to modern technological developments. Abstract

This study examines the importance of integrating Qur’anic values into the design of modern learning based on Student-Centered Learning (SCL) for the reinforcement of students' character development. SCL, which places students at the center of the learning process, provides students with the opportunity to be more active in determining their learning direction. Qur’anic values that teach honesty, patience, empathy, and compassion can serve as a moral foundation in shaping students' character and noble conduct. This article highlights how the application of these values in learning can strengthen character formation, enrich learning experiences, and support holistic personal development. With this approach, it is expected that students will not only develop academically but also in social and moral aspects. Despite challenges in its implementation, collaboration between teachers, students, parents, and the community will strengthen the success of this integration in sustainable character education.

Patient satisfaction is a key indicator of hospital service quality, influenced by verbal and nonverbal communication from registration staff, who act as the gateway to service. This study aims to analyze the relationship between verbal and nonverbal communication and patient satisfaction in a Type B hospital Jepara Regency. Using a cross-sectional quantitative approach, a population of 148 outpatients (aged 18-60 years) was incidentally sampled into 108 respondents using the Slovin formula. The Chi-square results showed good verbal communication (59.3%) and a value of correlation coefficient r = 0,431, good nonverbal communication (57.4%) and a value of correlation coefficient of r = 0.403, and satisfied satisfaction (53.7%), with a significant relationship (p=0.001 for both). The conclusion states that effective communication improves patient satisfaction; ongoing communication training is recommended.
