Abstract

A family caregiver is the most important person who cares for the elderly with schizophrenia. The elderly with schizophrenia had complete problems related to the aging process and also sign and symptoms of schizophrenia. Burden perceived the stress feel of a caregiver who is taking care of elderly schizophrenia influences of caregivers’ perceived health. The study aimed to examine factors associated with perceived health among caregivers who are taking care for elderly with schizophrenia. The cross-sectional study design was applied in this study. Eighty-eight samples were recruited using systematic random sampling. Data were analyzed by using correlation and chi-square with a significance level of p<0.05. The results showed that age, education level, income, level of self efficacy, and level of knowedge. Healthcare providers need to consider those factors to improve health outcomes and before deigning the intervention. In order to improve knowledge and self-efficacy of caregiver, peer support, and health promotion about caring elderly schizophrenia should be emphasized. Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is infectious diseases directly caused by TB bacteria (Mycobacterium tuberculosis). Tuberculosis has been around for thousands of years and remains a significant issue of global health issues. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between trust and family empowerment in preventing pulmonary TB transmission. A cross-sectional design was applied in this study. The results showed that there was a relationship between trust and family empowerment to avoid the transmission of pulmonary TB (p-value = 0.028). Health workers needed to concern about this transmission of diseases and educated of family members on the transmission of pulmonary TB.

Abstract

An awkward posture is the most common and significant factor of Low back pain among nurses. Nurses are often exposed to ergonomic constraints. The study aimed to examine the correlation between the conation with nurse ergonomics behavior in preventing low back pain. This study was an explanatory observational research design using a cross-sectional study. A total of 106 nurses were recruited using a probability sampling method through a simple random sampling technique. Data analysis was performed and presented in descriptive statistics, and significant findings were computed using the chi-square test. The results showed that there is a significant correlation between the conation with nurse ergonomic behavior in preventing low back pain events. Ergonomic behavior is essential for nurses to avoid low back pain. Ergonomic behavior will be formed if a nurse has the intention or conation to do a practice. Intention or conation can be formed from attitudes toward behavior, subjective norms, and perceptions of control. Keywords: Conation, Intention, Ergonomic, Behavior, Low back pain

Abstract

Hypertension is global disease and high incidence rate. Hypertension patients were required to monitor blood pressure regularly. The study aimed at examining factors associated with perceived family support among elderly who were living with hypertension. A cross sectional study design was applied in this study. Total of 225 samples recruited by using simple random sampling. The results showed that there were positive relationship between age, gender, education, occupation, knowledge, length of care for elderly, relations of elderly-families with family support in the elderly with hypertension (p-value<0,05). The adequate information regarding management of hypertension for family caretaker need to establish to support patients to manage blood pressure level.
