Abstract

This study aims to develop ICU Card Talk as a communication tool for mechanically ventilated patients. The method used in this study was a Research and Development approach with data collection stages through literature studies, interviews, and observations to formulate strategic issues and design ICU Card Talk content designs through focus group discussions based on strategic issues. The results of this study are color graphic communication cards equipped with writing according to the patient's basic needs and patient complaints measuring 10x15 cm using a glossy paper. The results of the content validity test by assessing the I-CVI showed that the ICU Card Talk content was valid with a value of 1.0, and the reliability value obtained a reliability coefficient > 0.6 which stated that the ICU Card Talk content was reliable. In conclusion, ICU Card Talk can be used as a communication tool that is easy to use as a means of interaction between patients with mechanical ventilation and medical staff so that patient communication needs can be met. This will indirectly reduce the patient's stress level, which will affect the patient's recovery. Keywords: Intensive Care, Communication, Mechanical Ventilation

Abstract

This study aims to investigate family support for compliance with pulmonary tuberculosis treatment. The method used in this research is systematic observation. The research results showed that out of 1,870 articles, 15 articles in this study found that the implementation of family support was not optimal in relation to four important points in family support such as support (informational, instrumental, emotional, and assessment). In conclusion, when the family always provides support in the form of information, emotions, appreciation, and also plays a role for tuberculosis patients, then this encouragement will influence their psychology, so that it will encourage them physically to take medication regularly and adopt a healthy lifestyle as an effort to achieve successful treatment. Apart from that, it is necessary to pay attention to policies, health programs, support for medical and paramedical personnel. Keywords: Family Support, Compliance, Pulmonary Tuberculosis

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of music therapy in elderly with cognitive impairment who experience depression in the Nursing Home. The research method uses a systematic review review following the principles of PRISMA 2020. The article selection process follows the PICO structure. MeSH is used for keyword searches in the medical field. In assessing the bias and methodological quality of the articles obtained, this study uses the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) critical assessment. The results of the study indicate that music therapy interventions in the elderly are able to manage emotions and have a good impact on the elderly with depression. In addition, music intervention therapy with a time span of 30-40 minutes for 8-12 weeks can help the elderly with cognitive disorders such as dementia. The elderly who receive music intervention therapy are considered able to control emotional regulation, foster empathy and their creativity. Keywords: Depression, Intervention, Elderly, Music Therapy
