Abstract

Anxiety is a feeling of discomfort, worry, fear, and tension. This response is a physiological response to external or internal stimuli that can cause behavioral, emotional, cognitive, and physical symptoms. Anxiety in patients starts from the moment the patient receives a surgery schedule. If the patient continues to feel anxious while the operation is in progress, this can disrupt the operation process because a tense patient can increase the heart rate which can affect the patient's blood pressure and breathing. This study aims to determine the effect of educational videos on anxiety in surgical patients. The research uses a quantitative research design with a quasi-experimental research design (pretest-posttest with control group design). There were 66 street children as respondents consisting of 33 control group respondents and 33 treatment group respondents. Respondents were determined using affordable population techniques. The independent variable is smart visual education based on Dorothea Orem's self-care theory and the dependent variable is anxiety level. Data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the independent t-test with a significance level of p<0.05. The instrument used was the Amsterdam Preoperative Anxiety and Information Scale (APAIS) Questionnaire. There is a significant relationship between respondents' anxiety levels in the pretest and posttest results (p=0.000) in both the control group and the treatment group. However, there was no significant difference in the delta of respondents' anxiety levels in both the control and treatment groups. Smart visual education based on Dorothea Orem's self-care theory influences reducing the anxiety level of patients who will undergo surgery with SAB regional anesthesia.

The target group in this community partnership program (PKM) is Posyandu for the elderly Wijaya Kusuma RW V and Budi Luhur RW VI. The problem that occurs in Posyandu for the elderly is the instability of the elderly's blood pressure. If this situation occurs continuously and is left untreated, it can cause a decline in the health status and quality of life of the elderly. The solution to overcome this problem is to provide reinforcement with educational methods about hypertension and how to control hypertension in the elderly. The implementation of the activities began with screening, education on preventing uncontrolled hypertension, and finally providing innovative activities in the form of making anti-hypertension instant noodles for the elderly and cadres. It is hoped that the results of this activity can improve the self-management of elderly people in managing hypertension. Apart from that, it can increase the economic value of Posyandu by making anti-hypertension instant noodles and becoming a commodity for small and medium scale businesses. Keywords: hypertension, elderly, instant noodles, Posyandu.

Abstract

Decreased quality of service in the ICU occurs due to decubitus conditions, namely localized tissue damage due to pressure on soft tissue over bony prominence and pressure from outside for an extended period, so the importance of instruments with the Braden scale is used as an effort to prevent decubitus. This study aims to develop a decubitus risk assessment instrument based on Virginia Henderson's theory on a website that can be applied in the ICU to prevent decubitus. This research is descriptive research using the Delphi approach method, which consists of two stages: a literature study, FGD, expert consultation, content validity tests, readability tests, and website-based applications. In the second stage, researchers will conduct instrument experiments on ICU nurses at RSI Sultan Agung Semarang, with a sample of 50 ICU nurses. The results showed that the instrument has strong validity, so the manufacture of instruments can continue at the stage of making website applications. The results of the validity and reliability test of the instrument obtained 11 instruments that were declared feasible to use with valid and reliable values of 0.714>0.70. ICU nurses can use the Virginia Henderson theory-based decubitus instrument with a website to prevent decubitus.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate family support for compliance with pulmonary tuberculosis treatment. The method used in this research is systematic observation. The research results showed that out of 1,870 articles, 15 articles in this study found that the implementation of family support was not optimal in relation to four important points in family support such as support (informational, instrumental, emotional, and assessment). In conclusion, when the family always provides support in the form of information, emotions, appreciation, and also plays a role for tuberculosis patients, then this encouragement will influence their psychology, so that it will encourage them physically to take medication regularly and adopt a healthy lifestyle as an effort to achieve successful treatment. Apart from that, it is necessary to pay attention to policies, health programs, support for medical and paramedical personnel. Keywords: Family Support, Compliance, Pulmonary Tuberculosis
