Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the mechanism of OVO payment system discounts on the Grab application and to determine the Fikih Muamalah analysis of the mechanism of OVO payment system discounts on the Grab application. The subjects of this study are Muslim students at the Medan State Polytechnic. This study uses qualitative data. The data sources used are primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques include interviews, documentation, and observation. Validation tests are conducted using interview data and triangulation techniques. The results of the study show that the OVO payment method discount scheme on the Grab application has been structured and transparently organized, covering terms and conditions, promotional periods, quotas, and the rights and obligations of all parties. In principle, this system has fulfilled the principles of fairness, certainty, and avoidance of elements of gharar, dhulm, and israf. This practice is in line with the spirit of MUI DSN Fatwa No. 116/DSN MUI/IX/2017, which requires protection for users, merchants, and drivers in digital transactions. Second, OVO's discount practice can be justified through two sharia contracts: Wadi'ah Contract: user balances are stored as deposits that can be withdrawn at any time, without being used by the issuer except with the permission of the holder, and Qardh Contract: if the issuer uses the balance (for example, for investment), then the discount serves as a voluntary reward that does not contain usury

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the strategic role of youth in driving national economic growth through innovation and cross-sector collaboration, and to examine the relevance and effectiveness of legal policies that support this role in the context of achieving the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045. Theoretical framework: This study uses an interdisciplinary approach that combines the theories of youth empowerment, innovation-driven economy, and the legal framework of national development. This approach strengthens the understanding of how national regulations, such as Law No. 40 of 2009 concerning Youth and Presidential Regulation No. 18 of 2020 concerning RPJMN 2020–2024, support the role of youth in economic growth. Literature review: Youth Innovation in Economic Development, Cross-Sector Collaboration by Youth, Legal Basis for Youth Empowerment. Methods: This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, literature study, and policy analysis techniques. Data sources were obtained from national legal documents, academic journals, BAPPENAS policy reports, and relevant youth innovation case studies. The analysis technique was carried out through the stages of data reduction, thematic categorization, and normative interpretation. Results: The study indicate that youth have great potential to create digital innovation, social entrepreneurship, and creative economy that have a direct impact on national economic growth. However, the implementation of legal policies that support youth innovation still faces challenges in terms of institutional synergy, legal assistance, and access to capital. Implications: These findings provide implications that policy reform and strengthening of youth-friendly legal governance need to be a strategic priority for the government to achieve the goal of Indonesia Emas 2045. The synergy between vocational education, the business world, and legal institutions is the key to successful cross-sector collaboration. Novelty: The uniqueness of this study lies in the integration of strategic analysis of youth innovation and legal approaches in one systematic framework, as well as an emphasis on the importance of legal, social, and economic collaboration in long-term development based on the youth generation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the wage system in the Ijarah contract for content creators in Medan City from the perspective of fiqhmuamalah. The background of this research is based on the growing prominence of the content creator profession in the digital era, particularly on social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, as well as the limited understanding of contractual agreements in accordance with sharia principles. This research employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews involving content creators, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Medan, and Islamic economics experts. The findings indicate that wage practices still show several inconsistencies with the principles of the Ijarah contract, such as a lack of clarity in work agreements, delayed payments, and vague wage amounts. Moreover, content creators’ understanding of fiqhmuamalah, particularly the Ijarah contract, remains limited. Therefore, education and guidance are necessary to ensure that collaborations between content creators and business actors can proceed professionally, fairly, and in accordance with Islamic law.
