Abstract

GRDP in Lampung province is still experiencing fluctuations, which has increased from 2013-2019. Then, in 2020 GRDP will decrease and will increase again in 2021-2022. The research method used is quantitative. The data source used in compiling this research is secondary data in the form of a time series, which was processed using EViews 10. Data obtained from BPS Lampung province includes data on the rupiah exchange rate, the value of CPO exports and the GRDP of Lampung province in 2013-2022. The results showed that partially, the rupiah exchange rate variable had a positive and significant effect on the GRDP in Lampung province in 2013-2022, and the CPO export value variable had no significant effect on the GRDP in Lampung province in 2013-2022. Meanwhile, the f (simultaneous) test shows that the rupiah exchange rate and the value of CPO exports jointly affected GRDP in Lampung province in 2013-2022. GRDP, in the perspective of Islamic economics, will affect tax revenues by increasing waqf, zakat, alms and other income taxes which will have a good impact because increasing regional revenue is expected to increase welfare and economic growth.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Islamic banking financial performance on the growth of Third Party Funds (TPF) in Indonesia in the period 2017–2023 using the Sharia Conformity and Profitability (SCnP) approach. This study focuses on three independent variables, namely the Islamic Investment Ratio (IIR), Islamic Income Ratio (IsIR), and Return on Assets (ROA). This study answers the gap in previous studies that rarely combine the balance between sharia compliance and profitability in explaining TPF growth. The method used is quantitative with panel data analysis using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) on a sample of seven Islamic Commercial Banks (BUS) in Indonesia. The estimation results show that IIR (p = 0.5913) and IsIR (p = 0.9954) do not have a significant effect on TPF growth. On the other hand, ROA (p = 0.0096) has a positive and significant effect, indicating that bank profitability has a stronger influence on public trust and fund placement decisions than sharia compliance indicators. These findings suggest that while compliance with sharia principles is important, people still prioritize financial outcomes when choosing where to save their money. Therefore, Islamic banks are advised to maintain operational efficiency while strengthening sharia-based investment structures to increase credibility and competitiveness.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of religiosity and trust on the interest in paying non-cash zakat through the digital Islamic banking system among the Muslim millennial generation in Bandar Lampung City. The background of the study is based on the rapid development of digital technology and the increasing trend of donations through digital channels, especially during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. In this context, religiosity and trust are assumed to be two main factors influencing an individual's decision to distribute non-cash zakat. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method through a questionnaire distributed to 96 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to test the relationship between the independent variables (religiosity and trust) and the dependent variable (interest in paying non-cash zakat). The results show that religiosity has no significant effect, while trust has a positive and significant influence on the interest in paying non-cash zakat through the digital Islamic banking platform. These findings provide important implications for zakat management institutions and Islamic financial institutions in developing more effective zakat digitalization strategies that are in line with the characteristics of the millennial generation.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to determine the effect of Non-Performing Financing and capital adequacy on profit growth partially and simultaneously. The population in this study was 14 Islamic commercial banks, with a sample of 12 Islamic commercial banks. Methodology – This type of research employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design, utilizing a data analysis methodology that includes panel data regression analysis, assisted by EViews analysis. Findings – The results of this study indicate that partially non-performing financing has a positive and significant impact on profit growth, while capital adequacy does not significantly affect profit growth. Simultaneously, non-performing financing and capital adequacy affect profit growth. Implication – The implication is that Islamic commercial banks need to focus more on managing non-performing financing due to its significant impact on profit growth, despite its positive influence.  In addition, although capital adequacy does not have a partial effect, bank management must still consider both factors simultaneously to ensure stability and sustainable profit growth. Originality – The originality of this study lies in its specific focus on Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia in the period 2020-2024, a period that includes the impact of the pandemic and economic recovery, as well as the use of panel data analysis to simultaneously explore the effect of non-performing financing and capital adequacy on profit growth.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of liquidity (FDR), leverage (DER), and Non-Performing Financing (NPF) on the financial stability of Islamic Commercial Banks (BUS) in Indonesia (2020–2024) using panel data from 10 BUS. The Chow test and Hausman test determined the Fixed Effects Model (FEM) as the best model. The results show: FDR and NPF have no statistically significant effect. Meanwhile, DER has a positive and significant influence with a p-value of 0.009, as Sharia-compliant debt for productive financing through risk-sharing schemes enhances stability. The adjusted R² (11.39%) indicates limited explanatory power, with 88.61% attributed to external factors. From an Islamic perspective, this study highlights that the role of Islamic banks is not solely about financial achievement but also a manifestation of their social responsibility in building a more inclusive and sustainable economy aligned with Islamic values.
