Abstract

The depletion of fossil fuels, rising of earth temperatures and declining of air quality are an unavoidable phenomenon today. This condition is a result of increased and excessive use of fossil fuels. Bioethanol fuel is one solution to reduce this problem that is sourced from renewable raw materials. Sorghum seeds are raw materials that have the potential to be made bioethanol due to they have a high carbohydrate content (70%). The test is performed the use of pertalite-bioethanol blends fuels was on a four-stroke gasoline engine without modification. The percentage of the mixture volume of fuel used is 10% bioethanol-90% pertalite (E10), 15% bioethanol-85% pertalite (E15) and 20% bioethanol-80% pertalite (E20). Engine speeds vary from 1000 to 4000 rpm, and properties of the sorghum seeds bioethanol-pertalite blends are measured and analyzed. The purpose of this study is to investigate engine performance and exhaust emissions at gasoline engine by using the sorghum seeds bioethanol-pertalite blends with different mixed ratios (E10, E15 and E20). The Engine performance includes engine torque, brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) and thermal brake efficiency (BTE) analyzed. In addition, carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbon (HC), and nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions are measured as gasoline engine exhaust emissions. The results show that BSFC decreased while BTE increased for a fuel blends containing 20% bioethanol at 3500 rpm engine speed, with each maximum value of 246.93 g/kWh and 36.28%. It is also found that CO and HC emissions are lower for the sorghum seeds bioethanol-pertalite blends. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the sorghum seeds bioethanol-pertalite blends can improve engine performance and reduce exhaust gas emissions.

Abstract

Suatu model telah dikembangkan untuk mensimulasi curah hujan harian pada 4 stasiun pengukur hujan yang berlokasi di DAS Kampar. Curah hujan yang merupakan sesuatu yang tidak pasti dan salah satu faktor penting dalam sebuah perencanaan akan disimulasi dengan sebuah model yaitu stokastik rantai Markov. Dengan menggunakan variabel acak, model stokastik rantai Markov dilakukan untuk mensimulasi deretan hari hujan dan kering dan untuk mensimulasi serangkaian besar curah hujan harian dengan menggunakan distribusi gamma. Analisa persentase perbedaan jumlah hari hujan dan total curah hujan dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat perbedaan antara simulasi dan pengamatan. Dan analisa uji Chi-Kuadrat dilakukan menjadi 2 bentuk uji apakah memiliki populasi yang sama yaitu untuk data simulasi dan pengamatan dan untuk data simulasi dan distribusi gamma. Hasil pengujian yang dilakukan terhadap 120 data tiap-tiap stasiun menyatakan bahwa berdasarkan uji Chi-kuadrat, tidak lebih dari 50% data curah hujan hasil simulasi sesuai atau cocok dengan curah hujan hasil pengamatan, dan bahwa kurang dari 30% data curah hujan hasil simulasi sesuai atau cocok dengan distribusi gamma. Tingkat kehandalan rantai Markov dalam mensimulasi data curah hujan di DAS Kampar adalah rendah karena nilai koefisien korelasi (r) antara model dan pengamatan lebih kecil dari nilai koefisien korelasi kritik (rkritik).Kata Kunci : curah hujan harian, hari hujan, model rantai Markov, data hujan simulasi.ABSTRACT

Abstract

Based on the Work Plan and Budget Plan of Public Works Office, the Riau Province service in 2019, the provincial road handling program in Pekanbaru City, Riau Province is only based on the level of damage to road conditions and the level of road stability. The Ministry of Public Work has a definition of the purpose of road handling which is 100% stable roads. The level of road stability is determined by two criteria, the first one is steady in construction and the second is steady in traffic services. The purpose of this study is to obtain a priority sequence for handling provincial roads in the Tampan District of Pekanbaru appropriately by involving relevant parties. This study used the AHP method with 5 (five) criteria that were used to determine the priority of road handling, that is road conditions, traffic volume, accessibility, mobility and regional development. Based on AHP analysis, the importance level of each criterion is obtained to determine the priority of road handling. The results showed that the criteria for road conditions gains the highest weight 39.57% then level of accessibility 18.33%, then the criteria for regional development 18.25%, the criteria of traffic volume 12.51% and mobility criteria 11.35%. This study concludes that the most prioritized road sections in handling provincial roads in the Tampan District of Pekanbaru City in planning for 2020 is S.M Amin Road and Tuanku Tambusai Road and this study proves that the results of the author's analysis are different from the provincial roads planned by the government which to be handled in 2020, S.M Amin Road and Soekarno-Hatta Road. Abstract

Pekanbaru economic growth is relatively advanced to make this city a place to invest in the calculated by the investors one of them is investment in the field of hospitality. Investment inthe hospitality sector has a big risk if not prepared thoroughly, this is because in its construction requires a very large capital, therefore it is very important to review and analyzethe financial feasibility. In this research, it is reviewed about the financial feasibility of Condotel type hotel, which is in Kondotel Pekanbaru Park which is a hotel owned jointly by several owner and managed by hotel manager and its profit and profit will be shared between fellow hotel owners and managers. Financial analysis is done by analyzing the calculation of Net present value, benefit cost ratio, internal rate of return, payback period and also sensitivity analysis. The results obtained are total investment kondotel Rp. 192.670.744.974,35 with NPV of Rp. 67.877.696.368,23, BCR of 1.2, IRR of 24,97% greaterthan the return current of 13.5% and PBP for 9 years 7 month 17 days (project plan life for 50 years). Overall the investment project for the development of Kondotel Pekanbaru Park is feasible to build with the hotel occupancy rate of 66%. Investor standard room or SMI get profit of Rp 33.102.537,58 / year and free stay for 21 point / year. While the investor room suite or SMI corner get a profit of Rp 40.138.145,99 / year and free stay for 21 point / year with discount payback period in year 14.Keywords: Financial Analysis, Condotel Pekanbaru Park, Occupancy Hotel, Sensitivity Analysis, Investor.

Abstract

Delima intersection is a 2/2 four arms UnDivided crossing. The environment around this intersection is a commercial area. There are several activities at the intersection approach, such as vehicles in and out of the shopping area intersections theat cause congestion. The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of Delima intersections and to find out the level of road service. The method used in this study was Indonesian Higway Capacity Manual 1997 which includes analysis of intersection capacity, queue length, signalised phase and delay. Data were obtained by conducting a survey of traffic flow conditions, cycle time and geometric intersection. From the results, the analysis of signalised performance on the existing condition of the highest delay is the North approach with an average delay value of 310.95 sec/smp and the level of service is included in category D. This is necessary to do alternative intersection settings. From the three alternatives considered, the alternative three is the best alternative with the delay value generated in the afternoon peak hours is 6.03 sec/smp. Abstract

Travel time information is one of reference to planning a trip. Therefore it is needed a reliable travel time estimation method. Travel time estimation models used namely Instantaneous model using time mean speed (TMS) and space mean speed (SMS) based on spot speed data. Reability test result for instantaneous model based on TMS get time travel for Research road segment get value 7,472 minutes and based on SMS get value 7,785 minutes. Abstract

In a pavement mixture, filler has a significant effect because its functions as a cavity filler in the mixture. The fillers commonly used are Portland cement, stone ash or fly ash which are relatively expensive. Therefore it is necessary to use alternative filler removal materials but not reduce the quality of the pavement mixture. In this study, the filler used was waste burning rice husk ash because it has a high silica content which is almost the same as Portland cement. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using rice husk ash filler in a mixture of AC-WC asphalt types. In this study the optimum asphalt content determination was carried out at asphalt levels 5%, 5.5%, 6%, 6.5% and 7%. The proportion of rice husk ash used were 0%, 2%, 4%, 6% and 8%. The specifications used follow the Bina Marga 2010 Revision 3 standard with the Marshall method. The results of this study indicate that the AC-WC mixture using rice husk ash filler has better stability than not using rice husk ash filler. The highest stability value is found at 6% filler level which is equal to 1701.00 kg. The recommended level of rice husk ash for AC-WC mixture that is according to specifications is 6% because it has a better value of stability, flow, VIM, VMA, VFA, MQ.Keywords: Rice husk ash, Filler, AC-WC, Bina Marga Specification 2010 Revision 3

Abstract

One most important service aspect of Trans Metro Pekanbaru is a bus stop. Trans Metro Pekanbaru Bus Stop is a place where passenges get on and off from the Bus as well as a place to transit from one to another place orderly, smoothly, safely, and comfortable. Thecondition of bus stop must suit the well-construct building that it can be comfort and be a shelter from the sun and the rain. The condition of facility at coridor 3 is still deficient, henceit needs to observe the suitability of facility according to Standard Directorate General of Land Transportation 2012 and Wahana Tata Nugraha 2010. The result of judgement for busstop condition at corridor 3 showed it was included into deficient category since the weight of all judgement were 40%. Percentage result of bus stop facility according to weight of judgement was in efficient category of 3,77% for 2 bus stops, sufficient category of 35.19%for 19 bus stops, deficient cateogry of 46.30% for 25 bus stops and less deficient category of 13.21% for 7 bus stops. TMP bus stop at coridor 3 is type 1 witb average weight of judgement was 26.71% and was included into deficient category, type 2 with 11% weight of judgement and was less deficient, and type 3 with 30% weight of judgement and wasdeficient.Keywords: Bus stop, Condition, TMP (Trans Metro Pekanbaru), Corridor, WTN (Wahana Tata Nugraha)

Abstract

Asphalt and termite liquid are fluxing materials that can increase the strength of recycled asphalt pavement. This research reuses recycled materials to save on the use of asphalt and aggregate. The purpose of the study was to determine the Marshall characteristics of a mixture of worn-out asphalt concrete (AC-WC) on asphalt rejuvenation and termite antiliquid. This study used a mixture of each asphalt and anti-termite fluxing material with variations of 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, and 2%. The research standard used the Marshall method according to the Bina Marga Specifications 2010 revision 3. Test results on asphalt-added material VMA, VFA values, stability and MQ have met specifications, VIM values are only at 1% variation with an average value of 3.67% that meets specifications, while the flow value does not meet the specifications and is too large with the highest value of 7.53%. The results of the anti-termite liquid additive test results are based on average values, only in 1% added ingredients that meet specifications based on Marshall Characteristics. VMA, VFA and Stability values of all variations have met the specifications and value of flow, VIM in variations of 0.5%, 1.5%, and 2% does not meet specifications while the MQ value is only for 0.5% added material does not meet Bina Marga 2010 specifications revision 3. The optimum level of added ingredients contains anti termite fluids with a variation of 1.4%, this variation is the mixture that is best used based on Bina Marga specifications 2010 revision 3. Abstract

In the road pavement mixture, filler has a significant effect because it functions as a cavity filler. One of the filler that is commonly used is fly ash. Fly ash is a coal combustion waste that can be utilized and has a high silica content so as to improve the quality of the road pavement mixture. The purpose of this study is to determine the durability of the AC-WC layer using fly ash fillers in peat water environments. The proportion of fly ash used was 0%, 2%, 4%, 6% and 8%, each variation of fly ash was immersed for 0.5 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, and 96 hours in peat water. The specification used follows the 2018 Bina Marga standard using the Marshall method. The results show that the AC-WC mixture submerged in peat water would experience a decrease in the value of stability and durability of the mixture. The highest stability value is 1308.08 kg at 0.5 hour immersion, while the lowest stability value at 96 hours immersion is 927.42 kg. However, the use of fly ash as filler will increase the stability and mixture values. The highest stability value for the AC-WC mixture is 1308.80 kg at 6% fly ash variation. This is caused by fly ash being able to maintain stability and durability when submerged in peat water. The optimum variation of fly ash filler which can be added to the AC-WC mixture is 6% of the total weight of the aggregate. This value is based on a high stability value compared to other variations of 1308.80 kg. As for the RSI value, the AC-WC mixture is able to withstand damage up to 48 hours which is equal to 90.07%Keywords: Fly ash, Filler, AC-WC, durability
