Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi pengajaran digital yang menciptakan kebiasaan belajar kapan saja, di mana saja. Hal ini menjadi sebuah tantangan besar bagi tim pengabdian untuk melakukan pendampingan kepada para guru SMA N 1 Manyak Payed di Aceh Tamiang agar dapat mengembangkan kreativitas dan kemampuannya terhadap teknologi untuk memastikan tujuan pembelajaran dapat dicapai. Guru harus berinisiatif untuk membuat video pembelajaran yang inovatif dan mudah diakses oleh siswa. Salah satu caranya adalah dengan membuat satu media ajar berbentuk video yang dapat diakses oleh siswa kapan saja dan dimana saja. Peserta kegiatan PKM adalah guru SMA N 1 Manyak Payed, yang berjumlah 20 orang. Adapun tujuan dari pengabdian ini yaitu: Melakukan kegiatan pendampingan pengembangan video ajar menggunakan media Open Broadcast Sofware bagi guru SMAN 1 Manyak Payed, Aceh Tamiang, meningkatkan pengetahuan guru dan meningkatkan literasi digital guru SMAN 1 Manyak Payed, Aceh Tamiang terhadap penggunaan Open Broadcaster Sofware untuk pengembangan video pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan yang dipaparkan adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan terstruktur, dengan tiga tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Hasil dari pelatihan ini peserta mendapatkan tambahan ilmu/wawasan tentang penggunaan OBS dan pelatihan telah memberikan pembelajaran lebih terstruktur tentang OBS. Seluruh peserta menyatakan 80% sangat setuju bahwa OBS dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan literasi digital peserta dengan menggunakan OBS sebagai pembuatan video ajar dan menyatakan sangat puas dengan kegiatan pendampingan ini.

Abstract

Abstrak: Beberapa kegiatan melalui kerja sama telah dilakukan dan mendapat respon yang positif. Namun, JSDI khususnya wilayah Aceh Timur belum mampu merekrut anggota secara luas dan memberikan pelayanan yang optimal kepada anggota dan calon anggota. Selain itu, website resmi organisasipun statusnya dalam perbaikan (maintenance) hingga sekarang. Sehingga, para guru yang bergabung menjadi anggota JSDI hanya berjumlah 6 orang. Tujuan PkM adalah: (1) memperbaiki fasilitas layanan mitra untuk mewujudkan tujuan mitra membantu guru mengimplikasikan kurikulum merdeka melalui produk aplikasi eduweb app media satu pintu yang mengoptimalkan program kerja mitra; (2) meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra mengembangkan eduweb app sebagai media satu pintu mengoptimalkan program kerja JSDI. Bentuk kegiatan PkM ini berupa kegiatan sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan. Evaluasi terhadap ketercapaian indikator keberhasilan diketahui dari pengumpulan data dilakukan, yaitu menggunakan lembar wawancara dan angket. Hasil kegiatan PkM berupa sebuah eduweb app bernama “sahabat guru digital” yang dapat membantu para guru terutama anggota JSDI dalam menerapkan kurikulum Merdeka. Selain itu, produk ini dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan mitra terkait perbaikan fasilitas penyampaian informasi kepada anggota dan masyarakat melalui media satu pintu, serta meningkatkan pelayanan dalam hal perluasan keanggotaan dan keterlibatan masyarakat pada setiap kegiatan yang diselenggarakan oleh mitra. Berdasarkan jawaban peserta pelatihan dan pendampingan, pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota mitra mengembangkan eduweb app meningkat dari 52% menjadi 72% setelah kegiatan.Abstract: Several collaborative activities have been conducted, receiving positive responses. However, JSDI, especially in the East Aceh region, has not been able to recruit members widely and provide optimal services to its members and potential members. Furthermore, the official organization website is still undergoing maintenance to this day. As a result, the number of teachers who have joined as JSDI members is only six. The objectives of this Community Service Program (PkM) are as follows: (1) to improve partner service facilities to help partners achieve their goal of assisting teachers in implementing the independent curriculum through the Eduweb App, a one-stop media application that optimizes partner work programs; (2) to enhance the knowledge and skills of partners in developing the Eduweb App as a one-stop media to optimize JSDI's work programs. The PkM activities include socialization, training, and mentoring. Evaluation of the achievement of success indicators is known from data collection, namely using interview sheets and questionnaires.. The result of the PkM activities is an Eduweb app called "Sahabat Guru Digital”, which can assist teachers, especially JSDI members, in implementing the independent curriculum. Furthermore, this product can address partner issues related to improving information delivery facilities to members and the public through a one-stop media, as well as improving services in terms of expanding membership and community involvement in every activity organized by the partners. Based on the answers of training and mentoring participants, the knowledge and skills of partner members developing eduweb apps increased from 52% to 72% after the activity.

Abstract

This study investigates perceptions of, attitudes toward, challenges in, and how critique is influencing students’ academic and reflective growth. Data were collected according to a mixed-methods study design through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with 25 undergraduate students enrolled in a Critical Reading course at Universitas Samudra. It has been found that appreciation by the students of the significance of critique in building critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and academic writing exists, but they find it challenging to handle complex terminologies, identifying arguments, and being objective. Time also seems to be a limiting factor. Students perceive that guided practice, group discussion, and further practice would make them more competent in critiquing. The literature addresses the need for learning processes that enable students to transition from recapitulation to critical thinking, and eventually to more intellectual engagement and confidence in scholarship. The literature guides the overarching argument about critical reading and its role in college learning.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an Augmented Reality media-based module with learning the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project that is feasible and effective for fourth-grade students in elementary schools. This research starts by examining the demands and traits of the prospective audience, then continues with the design of a module that utilizes AR technology to provide a more dynamic learning experience. This study employed the research and development method with the ADDIE model, which consists of five main stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data analysis techniques employed included qualitative and quantitative descriptive approaches. Qualitative data were obtained from observations of the implementation of the teaching module, while quantitative data were obtained from assessments by content experts and material experts, as well as from questionnaires. The results indicated that the media expert validation reached a percentage of 90.97%, and material experts reached 85.00%, both of which fall into the 'excellent' category. Therefore, the media was deemed suitable for use in learning. The field trial involved 60 students. The results showed that in the small group trial, the media obtained a percentage value of 90.63%, categorized as 'excellent', while in the large group trial, it obtained a percentage value of 92.73%, also categorized as 'excellent'. Based on the feasibility and effectiveness evaluations, the module is suitable and effective for use by fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Tualang Cut Aceh Tamiang. Thus, the AR-based module is an innovation that can enhance the quality of learning by making content dynamic and interactive.

Abstract

Kabupaten Gayo Lues di Provinsi Aceh dikenal sebagai daerah pegunungan dengan kekayaan sumber daya alam yang melimpah, salah satunya adalah sere. Potensi besar ini menjadikan Gayo Lues mendapat julukan sebagai salah satu sentra penghasil sere baik sere wangi maupun sere biasa di Indonesia Tanaman sere telah lama dibudidayakan oleh masyarakat, terutama sere wangi karena nilai ekonominya yang tinggi sebagai bahan baku minyak atsiri. Minyak sere wangi banyak dimanfaatkan dalam industri farmasi, kosmetik, aromaterapi, hingga produk rumah tangga, sementara sere biasa belum ada yang dimanfaatkan padahal manfaat dari sere biasa ini juga banyak, diantaranya biasa menjadi bumbu dapur. Sere biasa dikenal luas di masyarakat Indonesia sebagai rempah penyedap makanan dan memiliki nilai ekonomi serta kesehatan. Namun, belum ada yang membuka usaha olahan dari sere biasa ini, hal inilah yang menjadi tantangan seperti penduduk tidak tahu cara mengolah sereh biasa selain hanya sebagai bumbu penyedap makanan, kurangnya pengetahuan berikatan sere biasa ini, melalui program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN), mahasiswa dapat berperan aktif dalam membantu mengatasi masalah ini dengan memberikan teknologi, pendampingan, pelatihan, dan solusi inovatif. Urgensi dari pengabdian adalah meningkatnya pendapatan Mitra melalui memberdayakan sere biasa menjadi produk olahan, memberikan pelatihan dalam membuat olahan sere biasa. Memberikan pengalaman dan pengetahuan kepada mahasisiwa yang mengikuti KKN dalam kegiatan pengabdian. Tim Pengabdi menyimpulkan bahwa ada tiga permasalahan pada Mitra yaitu bidang produksi, Mitra tidak tahu inovasi dalam mengolah sere biasa, Permasalahan bidang manajemen, tidak tahu membuat perencaan produksi, bidang pemasaran, permasalahan Mitra yaitu Mitra tidak tahu cara memasarkan produk. Tujuan pengabdian yaitu meningkatkan pendapatan mitra melalui inovasi produk olahan berbasis sere biasa.

Abstract

This study examines how Indonesian English as Foreign Language (EFL) teachers perceive and negotiate pedagogical change arising from the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into language instruction. This research uses an interpretive qualitative approach through semi-structured interviews with seven teachers from diverse institutional backgrounds in Sumatera. Thematic analysis identified six key themes: (1) pedagogical change through AI integration, (2) evolving teacher identity, (3) reflective professional agency, (4) contextual constraints, (5) students' engagement and critical awareness, and (6) the need for instructional support and teacher training. Findings indicate that AI tools, such as ChatGPT and Grammarly, have facilitated a shift toward more student-centered, project-based, and reflective teaching practices. Teachers reported a redefinition of their roles from content transmitters to facilitators and mentors, with an increasing emphasis on assessing learning processes rather than outcomes. However, AI integration was hindered by infrastructural limitations, unequal access to technology, and a lack of AI literacy. The study reveals that technological transformation in ELT is not merely technical but also shaped by contextual realities and teacher identity. It highlights the need for context-sensitive professional development and inclusive policy support that enhance teachers' adaptive capacities in an AI-mediated learning environment.

Abstract

Parents play a vital role in supporting their children’s academic achievement. This study aims to identify the types of parental involvement that support students’ English learning at SMPN 3 Langsa and to examine how these forms of involvement relate to students’ English achievement. This study addresses this gap by examining the forms and effects of parental involvement on English achievement among eighth-grade students in an Indonesian public middle school. Guided by Epstein’s Framework of Parental Involvement, this study categorizes parental practices into six types and investigates their relationship with students’ formal English achievement scores. A qualitative-dominant design was employed, triangulating three data sources: (1) questionnaires measuring the frequency of involvement across Epstein’s types, (2) semi-structured interviews exploring parental practices and motivations, and (3) official English score documents quantifying students’ achievement. Findings show that parenting, learning at home, and volunteering were the most frequently practiced types of involvement, with rates of 89%, 84%, and 82%, respectively. Qualitative patterns indicated that learning-at-home involvement—including homework supervision and structured study routines—was strongly associated with higher English achievement scores, particularly among students consistently surpassing the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). The study contributes context-specific evidence for designing targeted parental engagement programs that address the unique demands of L2 learning in Indonesian middle schools.
