Abstract

The recommendation system is an important tool for providing personalized suggestions to users about products or services. However, previous research on individual recommendation systems using skyline queries has not considered the dynamic personal preferences of users. Therefore, this study aims to develop an individual recommendation model based on the current individual preferences and user location in a mobile environment. We propose an RFM (Recency, Frequency, Monetary) score-based algorithm to predict the current individual preferences of users. This research utilizes the skyline query method to recommend local cuisine that aligns with the individual preferences of users. The attributes used in selecting suitable local cuisine include individual preferences, price, and distance between the user and the local cuisine seller. The proposed algorithm has been implemented in the JALITA mobile-based Indonesian local cuisine recommendation system. The results effectively recommend local cuisine that matches the dynamic individual preferences and location of users. Based on the implementation results, individual recommendations are provided to mobile users anytime and anywhere they are located. In this study, three skyline objects are generated: soto betawi (C5), Mie Aceh Daging Goreng (C4), and Gado-gado betawi (C3), which are recommended local cuisine based on the current individual preferences (U1) and user location (L1). The implementation results are exemplified for one user located at (U1L1), providing recommendations for soto betawi (C5) with an individual preference score of 0.96, Mie Aceh Daging Goreng (C4) with an individual preference score of 0.93, and Gado-gado betawi (C3) with an individual preference score of 0.98. Thus, this research contributes to the field of individual recommendation systems by considering the dynamic user location and preferences.

Abstract

Indonesian cocoa products in international trade face challenges in quality, food safety, and environmental requirements. Developing the cocoa agro-industry is essential to meet those global demands. The research aims to analyze the competitiveness of business in Indonesian cocoa products using the Global Value Chain (GVC), Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), and Trade Specialization Index (TSI) methodology. Research data uses the time series of Indonesian cocoa product export trade from 2001-2020. From a GVC perspective, the diversity of cocoa product exporters and the same competition drive a significant increase in competitiveness. Market access opportunities and regulatory support will encourage domestic industrial growth by utilizing efficient supply chains and making Indonesia part of the global production network. Cocoa products require economic value, from dry beans to ready-to-consume products. They are improving farmer’s bargaining position towards agro-industry institutions and better stakeholder coordination. The results of RCA show the comparative advantage of Indonesia cocoa exporters for HS code products 1801, 1802, 1803, 1804, and 1805 in the international market. The stages of identification of Indonesian cocoa products are the maturity stage for cocoa beans, the commercial maturity stage for cocoa paste and butter products, and the growth stage for cocoa product powder.

Abstract

The Cocoa agroindustry requires future changes based on information technology that provide significant value benefits for organizations/companies (digital transformation). The experience during the pandemic required us to transform digitally. Cocoa agroindustry stakeholders such as cocoa farmers, farmer facilitators, and regulators have not been responsive to this, and the industry does not know what to do. The urgency of assessing the readiness for technology adoption in the cocoa agroindustry in Indonesia is urgently needed so that all stakeholders can feel the implementation of 4.0-based technology. What are the benefits of digital transformation to increase productivity, value creation, and social welfare in the industry?  This study aims to investigate and identify profiling of technology-based adoption, develop quantitative and qualitative models of TRI 2.0 and validate the assessment results. In this work, we take the case of agroindustry in Lampung province by involving cocoa agroindustry stakeholders. The technology readiness index 2.0 methodology provides a comprehensive framework with the result that the value of the Optimism variable is 1.05, the Innovativeness variable is 1.01, the Discomfort variable is 0.6, and the Insecurity variable is 0.75. The results of calculating the TRI 3.5 value, including the Intermediate Technology Readiness Index (Medium). The TRI value can be interpreted as Lampung cocoa agroindustry stakeholders in this case have have information and communications technology (ICT) potential and are not resistant to using new technology. Hopefully this will become a milestone for establishing a cocoa agroindustry community within the framework

Abstract

The milling machine is a crucial aspect of the sugarcane agroindustry production system; a disturbed milling machine will cause a decrease in production efficiency, sap quality degradation, and excessive energy consumption. An early fault anomaly detection system through machine learning is a solution to overcome the problems in sugarcane milling machines. The purpose of this research is to propose a system architecture design for early fault anomaly detection in sugarcane agroindustry milling machines and to evaluate the performance of various machine learning models on historical sensor data, identifying the most promising approach. This study proposes a novel anomaly detection framework for sugarcane milling machines to advance smart monitoring in agro-industrial systems. Using an empirical dataset of 7,673 sensor instances (temperature, vibration, pressure, and humidity), and applying several machine learning algorithms (logistic regression, decision tree, and random forest), the framework integrates multi-sensor data to improve fault prediction and reduce downtime. The results showed that the random forest had the best accuracy, at 98.13%, followed by the decision tree, at 97.87%, and logistic regression, at 89.70%. Feature contribution analysis reveals that the vibration signal is the most dominant contributing factor among other features. The results show that machine learning is a potential approach for predicting faults in sugarcane milling machines, which can help the sugarcane agriculture industry make informed decisions in the event of disturbances in these machines.

Abstract

Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) produced by the Palm Oil Mill as a waste is now being used as a medium for cultivating microalgae for bio-oil raw materials. However, the bio-oil production process from POME raw materials is still limited to lab scale. Therefore, in this project, the analysis of bio-oil production system from microalgae for the development of existing production system. In this paper, the optimization model of bio-oil production from microalgae biomass is simulated into Digital Business Ecosystem (DBE) concept then analyzed to related stakeholders in system and interaction of each process or between fellow stakeholders. And the results are defined in the form of Information Communication and Technology (ICT). The method used for this DBE concept is Unified Modeling Language (UML) which is use case diagram and Business Process Model and Notations (BPMN) diagram. And to predict an increase in yield by using ARM (Association Rule Mining). The results of this study are shown in the use case diagram and BPMN consisting of five communities, namely raw materials community, cultivation community, harvesting community, extraction community and quality control (QC). The process of production and storage of the resulting data is illustrated in the BPMN diagram. In this paper the association rule is used to explore the relationship pattern between Cell Density attributes, Lipid Content and Light Intensity. The integration of association rule with a priori paradigm has succeeded in finding 34 rules with 11 valid rules top rank which have lift > 1 of relation between attributes
