Abstract

In today's increasingly complex life situations, mental health problems can increase, especially among students in Indonesia. Mental health problems that occur in students are related to Self-efficacy regarding the potential they have in achieving something and in dealing with pressure in certain situations. Low Self-efficacy in adolescents can cause emotional and mental disorders. Based on this, this study aims to develop a mentor application to help improve students' mental health through Self-efficacy in solving algebraic form problems. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Kedungtuban, and the subjects of this study were 30 seventh-grade junior high school students. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D), and the ADDIE Model design is used. The results of data analysis show that the mentorika application is proven to be valid because it has a significant level of 0.000 < 0.005, feasible because all variables (statements) have a value of r count > r table, and effective because it meets the individual completeness test and classical completeness test, so it can be said that the mentorika application developed is effective in improving students' mental health through Self-efficacy in solving algebraic form problems. The evaluation results show that the effect of student confidence on improving mental health in solving algebraic form problems has increased significantly after using the Mentorika application. Keywords: Mental Health, Self-Efficacy, Algebraic Forms.

Abstract

The limited variety of learning media and digital assessments is one of the challenges for teachers in improving students' mathematical connections. To overcome this, this community service activity aims to empower junior high school mathematics teachers in the Harapan Bunda Semarang Learning Community in designing e-comics and interactive digital assessments to improve students' mathematical connection skills. The target partners consist of 20 mathematics teachers who are active in the Harapan Bunda Semarang Learning Community. This program is implemented for two months with a participatory training approach consisting of three stages: (1) socialization and mapping of teacher needs, which aims to understand the level of ability and needs of teachers related to digital learning media, (2) training in creating e-comics based on contextual problems that are relevant to junior high school mathematics material, as well as designing digital assessments using the Liveworksheets platform, and (3) direct practical assistance by a team of lecturers and students from the Mathematics Education Study Program, FKIP, Sultan Agung Islamic University. The results of the activity showed an average increase in teacher competency scores of 60% in the posttest compared to the pretest, the quality of the e-comic products produced reached 86% based on the assessment rubric, and an average teacher satisfaction score of 4.7 out of 5. This increase reflects the positive impact of the training in significantly improving teachers' digital skills, while also contributing to efforts to develop more innovative and effective mathematics learning in schools

Abstract

Keterkaitan yang erat antara kemampuan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar belum tercermin pada praktik pembelajaran, di mana kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan motivasi belajar siswa masih menjadi tantangan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan motivasi belajar siswa melalui implementasi model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dengan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT). Penelitian ini dikategorikan sebagai penelitian tindakan kelas yang prosesnya berulang melalui bentuk siklus. Penelitian ini bertempat di SMA Islam Sultan Agung Islam 3 Semarang pada bulan September hingga November 2024. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 29 siswa kelas XI-2 sebagai penerima tindakan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, angket, dan tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Setiap siklus pada penelitian ini memberikan hasil skor kemampuan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar yang meningkat. Pada kemampuan berpikir kritis, skor indikator kemampuan interpretasi meningkat dari 38% menjadi 79%, kemampuan analisis meningkat dari 41% menjadi 76%, kemampuan evaluasi dan inferensi meningkat dari 38% menjadi 83%, kemampuan eksplanasi meningkat dari 34% menjadi 76%, dan kemampuan pengaturan diri meningkat dari 31% menjadi 76%. Pada motivasi belajar sebanyak 75.86% siswa mencapai kategori tinggi. Penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menerapkan model TGT dengan CRT dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

Kemampuan memecahkan masalah dapat dikuasai dengan baik oleh siswa apabila siswa memiliki kemampuan afektif, salah satunya adalah self efficacy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self efficacy siswa melalui Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dengan pendekatan Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan dua siklus. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Islam Sultan Agung 3 Semarang pada kelas XI-1 yang berjumlah 29 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi, angket, dan tes. Hasil pembelajaran melalui dua siklus menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan, yaitu lebih dari 75% siswa memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah untuk setiap indikator dan lebih dari 75% siswa memiliki self efficacy kategori sedang. Disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model TGT dengan pendekatan TaRL dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self efficacy siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the KOPSINU teaching aid in the Make a Match learning model for improving students' numeracy literacy. The research is based on the low numeracy literacy of Indonesian students, which is caused by less interactive learning methods and minimal use of teaching aids. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental posttest-only control group design was used. The subjects consisted of 60 seventh-grade students at SMP Islam Sultan Agung 4 Semarang, divided into experimental and control groups. The research instrument was a numeracy literacy test covering aspects of mathematization, symbolization, reasoning, and argumentation. The t-test results showed a significant difference between the two groups, with the experimental group scoring higher on the posttest. These findings indicate that the use of KOPSINU significantly enhances students' numeracy literacy by creating a more interactive, engaging, and motivating learning environment that helps students actively understand mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Kesulitan siswa dalam memahami bangun ruang akibat rendahnya kemampuan spasial dan keterbatasan media visual dalam pembelajaran konvensional. Augmented Reality (AR) hadir sebagai solusi inovatif untuk meningkatkan visualisasi konsep geometri, namun efektivitasnya dipengaruhi oleh gaya kognitif siswa, seperti Field Independent dan Field Dependent. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kemampuan spasial siswa dalam pembelajaran bangun ruang berbasis AR ditinjau dari gaya kognitif tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek empat siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Salem yang dipilih berdasarkan hasil tes GEFT dan tes kemampuan spasial. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes tertulis dan wawancara semi-terstruktur, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa berkategori gaya kognitif field independent lebih baik dalam persepsi ruang, rotasi mental, dan visualisasi spasial dibandingkan siswa berkategori field dependent. Siswa gaya kognitif field dependent juga lebih mampu memahami objek geometri secara mandiri dan fleksibel, sementara siswa gaya kognitif field dependent cenderung bergantung pada petunjuk visual . Ssiswa yang bekerja sendiri di lapangan, penggunaan AR meningkatkan pemahaman spasial bagi kedua kelompok. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa integrasi teknologi AR dalam pembelajaran bangun ruang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan spasial, terutama bila disesuaikan dengan gaya kognitif siswa.

Abstract

Modul ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan literasi numerasi siswa pada materi kesebangunan dengan mengintegrasikan konsep etnomatematika dari budaya lokal Rumah Osing di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Pendekatan Problem-Based Learning dipilih sebagai model pembelajaran karena dapat mendorong siswa untuk berpikir kritis, kreatif, dan mampu memecahkan masalah secara kontekstual. Modul ini juga bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan nilai-nilai budaya lokal dalam pembelajaran matematika sehingga siswa dapat lebih memahami hubungan antara matematika dengan budaya sekitar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan Research and Development dengan model ADDIE. Namun penelitian ini baru sampai pada tahap ketiga yaitu Development[U1] . Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Gambiran, dan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket validasi produk oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, serta angket respon guru dan siswa untuk menilai praktikalitas. Nilai validasi dari ahli materi dan ahli media masing-masing sebesar 4,65 dan 4,5 (kategori sangat valid), sedangkan nilai praktikalitas dari respon guru dan siswa sebesar 4,37 (kategori praktis). Dengan demikian, modul ini layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar alternatif dalam meningkatkan literasi numerasi siswa melalui penggabungan konteks budaya setempat dan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis masalah.

Abstract

This study aims to identify errors made by students in solving numeracy literacy problems on probability material and to find out the factors that cause these errors. The type of research conducted is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques include observation, written tests, and interviews. The subjects of this research were 6 students of class X-2 SMA Islam Sultan Agung 3 Semarang. The instruments used in this research are 2 questions of numeracy literacy description of probability material. Data analysis was carried out using the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity technique is done by comparing data from interviews obtained from each subject or called source triangulation. The results showed that there were 6 errors in solving numeracy literacy problems based on Nolting's theory: misread-direction, careless, concept, application, test-taking, and study errors. The highest form of student error is in the category of test-taking errors, where students do not write conclusions, and some students write incorrect conclusions. The factors causing this are that students are less careful during the process of applying the problem, and are too hasty in working on the problem.

Abstract

Errors are a reflection of how students reason and illustration of the process of students’ building their own knowledge. The purpose of this study is to describe the types of errors in solving mathematics literacy problems on topic the system of linear equations of two variables based on Watson's criteria and the factors that cause students to make mistakes. The research subjects consisted of 6 students with high, middle, and low mathematical ability. This research used qualitative approach with data collection techniques were carried out by written tests and interviews. In general, the error made by students is indirect manipulation, namely by moving the coefficient value of a certain variable to another part to obtain the value of the variable being sought. Upper category students made indirect manipulation errors and response level conflicts. Medium category students made missing data errors, indirect manipulation and skill hierarchy problems. Lower group students made errors of improper procedure, missing data, indirect manipulation, skill hierarchy problem, missing conclusion and other than the seven categories. Factors causing errors made by students include, experiencing object-process error misconceptions, deliberate and hasty factors, lack of focus and thoroughness and lack of understanding of number operations, not thinking of writing steps and not knowing the next step to solve it, forgetting and not solving the problem so that he does not write conclusions, difficulty in understanding the problem.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy is a person's ability to formulate, apply, and interpret mathematics in various contexts which can be influenced by self-efficacy. This research aims to describe students' mathematical literacy profile in solving PISA quantity content questions in terms of self-efficacy. The design of this research is qualitative research with descriptive research type. Data collection methods are through self-efficacy questionnaires, mathematical literacy tests, and interviews. The research subjects were students of class X E1 MA NU Banat in Kudus. The research results show that student self-efficacy influences mathematical literacy. Students with high self-efficacy can fulfill 3 indicators, namely students are able to formulate real problem situations mathematically, use concepts, facts, procedures, and mathematical reasoning, and interpret, apply, and evaluate mathematical results. Students with moderate self-efficacy can fulfill 2 of the 3 indicators. Students are able to formulate real problem situations mathematically, using concepts, facts, procedures, and mathematical reasoning. Students with low self-efficacy can fulfill 1 indicator out of 3 indicators, namely students are able to formulate real problem situations mathematically.
