Abstract

This study examined the relationship between digital literacy competencies and learning outcomes through the implementation of blended learning models in Indonesian higher education institutions during the post-pandemic period. Employing a qualitative research methodology, this investigation utilized semi-structured interviews were conducted with 25 university students and 15 faculty members across five Indonesian universities, complemented by a document analysis of institutional policies and learning management system data. Through thematic analysis, following Braun and Clarke's six-phase approach, four primary themes emerged: (1) Digital Competency Development, (2) Pedagogical Transformation, (3) Learning Engagement Adaptation, and (4) Institutional Infrastructure Challenges. The findings revealed that students with higher digital literacy levels demonstrated enhanced learning outcomes in blended environments, characterized by improved critical thinking skills, increased collaborative engagement, and greater autonomous learning capabilities. However, significant disparities exist in digital access and competency levels, creating educational inequities that require institutional interventions. The study concludes that successful blended learning implementation necessitates comprehensive digital literacy development programs, robust technological infrastructure, and adaptive pedagogical strategies that bridge the digital divide, while enhancing educational quality in post-pandemic higher education contexts

Abstract

This qualitative research investigates the effectiveness of a mentoring program designed to enhance elementary school teachers' competency in utilizing digital platforms and interactive content for implementing Kurikulum Merdeka in rural Indonesian areas. The study employed a comprehensive mentoring approach focusing on the Platform Merdeka Mengajar and interactive digital content creation to address the digital divide in rural education. Twenty elementary school teachers from remote areas participated in a 12-week structured mentoring program. Data collection utilized in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, participant observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal significant improvements in teachers' digital literacy, confidence in technology integration, and student engagement levels. Pre-mentoring assessment showed 65% of teachers had low digital literacy, which improved substantially post-intervention with 100% satisfaction rates among participants. Key challenges identified included limited internet connectivity, inadequate hardware, and insufficient technical training, which were addressed through innovative solutions including mobile hotspot sharing, device lending systems, and peer mentoring networks. The study demonstrates that systematic mentoring programs can effectively bridge the digital competency gap among rural teachers, enabling successful Kurikulum Merdeka implementation despite infrastructure limitations. This research contributes to understanding professional development strategies for educational transformation in underserved regions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) in lesson planning, implementation, and assessment by pre-service teachers. The study used a mixed methods approach, involving 150 students through quantitative questionnaires and in-depth interviews with 15 students as the qualitative sample. The findings reveal that while students' knowledge of AI remains relatively low, there is a strong interest in further integrating AI into teaching practices. AI tools, such as ChatGPT and Canva, significantly assist students in drafting lesson plans, creating visual learning media, and designing interactive assessment tools. However, limited digital literacy and a lack of proper training present major challenges in AI adoption. This study recommends intensive AI training for pre-service teachers and suggests expanding the research to other study programs to understand variations in AI adoption.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are (1) to describe online learning plans in science lessons to increase students' HOTS. (2) Describe the implementation of online learning in science lessons to increase student HOTS. (3) Describe the evaluation of online learning in science lessons to increase student HOTS. This study uses a qualitative approach. This research was conducted in class IX at SMP Negeri 3 Slogohimo, Wonogiri Regency in the odd semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. The subjects of this study were science teachers and some students in class IX at SMP Negeri 3 Slogohimo, Wonogiri Regency. The results of the study concluded that lesson planning in science lessons to increase students' HOTS was made by the teacher. Core activities based on: Indicators of achievement of GPA competencies, student characteristics, scientific approach, 4C (creativity, critical thinking, communication, collaboration), strengthening Character Education (PPK) and literacy. Planning closing activities includes reflection activities both individually and in groups, providing feedback, following up, informing activity plans for the next meeting, conducting assessments according to KD. The implementation of science learning in the context of increasing student HOTS is carried out through the application of learning models based on student activity, namely: discovery/inquiry learning models, Problem-based Learning (PBL) models, and Project-based Learnin models. The implementation of science learning to improve students' HOTS is constrained by the teacher's lack of understanding of the HOTS concept, so that learning carried out using inquiry, PBL, and project based learning models has not been able to improve higher-order thinking skills, meaning that new students have the ability to remember, understand, and apply, and have not been able to analyze, evaluate, and create. Evaluation of science lessons to increase student HOTS is carried out by teachers by utilizing information and ideas by changing their meanings and implications. The evaluation uses questions that are based on contextual problems, meaning that evaluation questions made by the teacher are related to situations faced by students on a daily basis, using a stimulus that stimulates students' thinking.
