Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes in Analyzing Circuits (MRL) subjects in class X TDTL SMK N 1 Padang, by using the active learning strategies type of Everyone is a Teacher Here. This type of research was quasi-experimental. The subjects of the research was class X TDTL with 32 students. The object of the research was active learning strategies type of Everyone Is a Teacher Here. The instrument used was the achievement test by using multiple-choice questions that had been tested for validity and reliability. From the results of the research, data showed the average value of student learning outcomes in the average pretest was 57. While at posttest by applying Active Learning Strategies Everyone is a Teacher Here, it showed an increase of 17.5 points, with an average of 74.5. The learning outcomes were tested by using Gainscore’s formula (g) which obtained 0.337 g with middle score criteria.

Abstract

Increasing teacher competency is a process that cannot be done instantly. Teachers must always be provided with new knowledge that can be applied to their own needs and institutions. Computer-based learning will greatly help educators in the current era of Information and Communication Technology, especially vocational teachers who teach in productive fields (engineering subjects). The problem faced is the inability of teachers to use computers as learning media. Teachers only use computers to present powerpoint media, even in practical subjects. The teacher has not been able to utilize software engineering that will assist in the practical learning process, such as AutoCAD software in learning Drawing Engineering and PLC software in learning control systems. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct integrated and comprehensive training for teachers in utilizing computers as learning media especially in the use of software engineering. All Muhammadiyah 1 Padang Vocational Middle School teachers and SMK Dhuafa Nusantara Padang were invited to take part in engineering training. In the implementation of the activity there were 15 teacher participants. The training material consisted of the introduction and use of AutoCAD software, and PLC software. The results of this training show that more than 90% of participants have been able to use AutoCAD and PLC software. Besides that, there was an increase in motivation and enthusiasm from the teacher to show performance, both in the use of software for classroom learning and in daily life as a professional who always tried to improve his competence.

Abstract

This study reveals the improvement of community competence, especially youth after participating in the Installation and Maintenance training program for Simple House Installations in Padang City. The competence in question is the ability in the field of installation and maintenance of simple house installations at the household level in the community. The increase in the ability of the training participants is measured using a research instrument in the form of a Performance Assessment Rubric that has gone through a validation process. The research data were analyzed by percentage analysis and interpreted with an improvement table to get the level of improvement achieved. The research subjects were as many as 15 trainees who were representatives of members of the youth organizations of each sub-district in the city of Padang. The results showed that the average participants experienced an increase in the installation and maintenance of simple home electrical installations after participating in training activities where the increase was at a very high level (total average = 83.32). Thus, it can be concluded that the training program held was able to improve the competence of youth youth organizations in the city of Padang in the field of installation and maintenance of simple house installations.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan kepada pemuda putus sekolah yang berada di Panti Sosial Asuhan Anak Binaan Remaja (PSAABR) Budi Utama Lubuk Alung Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pemberian materi dan praktik pemasangan instalasi listrik domestik. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah guna peningkatan keterampilan bidang pemasangan instalasi listrik domestik sehingga dapat membantu Panti Sosial Asuhan Anak Binaan Remaja (PSAABR) Budi Utama untuk meningkatkan Kompetendi anak asuh. Materi yang diberikan dalam pelatihan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini antara lain: sambungan kabel, loop kabel dan pemasangan kabel, instalasi box sekering, saklar tunggal dan saklar seri serta merangkai lampu, instalasi saklar, dan stop kontak. Pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat tentang instalasi listrik domestic ini diawali dengan tes tertulis untuk melihat kemampuan awal peserta, rata-rata keberhasilan peserta dalam mengerjakan soal sebesar 57,5. Setelah kegiatan pelatihan juga dilakukan test tertulis dengan nilai rat-rata yang didapat 78.0, dengan demikian kegiatan ini dapat dikatakan berhasil dalam meningkatkan kompetensi peserta dibidang instalasi listrik domestik.

Abstract

This study discusses about feasibility test analysis of power electronics trainer kit before it can be used in the learning process of power electronics practicum especially for uncontrolled 3 phase rectifiers. This testing process is carried out to ensure that the developed power electronics trainer complies with the criteria of a trainer kit that can be used in the learning process of power electronics practice. This feasibility test analysis is a laboratory level testing activity where the testing phase includes electrical testing and circuit testing. A circuit testing is carried out for 3 phase half-wave and full-wave rectifier circuits. The results showed that the developed power electronics trainer is in accordance with the criteria as a trainer kit in the learning process so that it could be applied in the learning process of power electronics practice in the laboratory. It can be concluded that power electronics trainer kit can be used as a trainer kit in the learning process of power electronics practicum

Abstract

This study reveals the improvement of people's lifeskills after attending a repair and maintenance program for household electronic equipment in Kenagarian Kapau Alam Pauh Duo, Kecamatan Pauh Duo, Kabupaten Solok Selatan. Lifeskills in question is the ability in the field of repairing and maintaining household electronic equipment that is commonly used in everyday life. Increased ability of trainees is measured by using a research instrument in the form of Performance Assessment Rubric that has been through the validation process. The research data are analyzed by percentage analysis and interpreted with an improvement table to get the level of improvement achieved. Research subjects are 15 trainees who were community representatives in the Nagari Kapau Alam Pauh Duo. The results showed that the average participant experienced an increase in the field of repair and maintenance of household electronic equipment after attending training activities where the increase occurred at very high levels (average total = 83.32). Thus, it can be concluded that the reparation training program and maintenance of household electronic equipment is able to increase the lifeskill of the community in Kenagarian Kapau Alam Pauh Duo in the field of repair and maintenance of household electronic equipment.

Abstract

This study discusses efforts to improve one of the competencies of Vocational High School (SMK) teachers in the field of Electricity, namely professional competence, through the implementation of the Programmable Logic Control (PLC) and Electropneumatics training program. the training program is designed in the form of learning processes namely learning theory and practice that is shared into two main materials namely PLC and Electropneumatics. Both of these materials are one part of industrial automation material that needs to be understood by every teacher to be taught to students because vocational learning materials must be adaptive to the latest developments in science and technology. The latest development of this century is termed the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The subjects of this study are 20 teachers in the field of electricity in SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. The results showed that after the implementation of the training program there is an increase in the professionalism of teachers in the field of industrial automation especially PLC and Electropneumatics indicated by the participants' posttest results which reached 85,6% graduation for the two materials. Thus, it can be concluded that PLC and Electropneumatics training for teachers can improve the professional competence of teachers in the field of industrial automation by the development of the industrial revolution 4.0

Abstract

Kompetensi profesional guru merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, harus selalu ditingkatkan agar dapat menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang baik bagi peserta didik. Penelitian ini membahas tentang peningkatan kompetensi profesional guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) bidang Ketenagalistrikan melalui pelaksanaan program pelatihan keterampilan Programable Logic Control (PLC), program pelatihan dirancang dalam dua metode yaitu metode teori dan praktik. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 20 orang guru bidang ketenagalistrikan SMK Negeri 1 Pariaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam bidang otomasi industri khusunya PLC setelah mengikuti kegiatan program pelatihan keterampilan PLC. Peningkatan ini diindikasikan dengan hasil Pascates peserta yang rata-rata mengalami peningkatan pada tingkatan yang tinggi. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa program pelatihan keterampilan PLC bagi guru SMK 1 Pariaman dapat meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru dalam bidang otomasi industri sesuai dengan tuntutan perkembangan revolusi industri 4.0.

Abstract

The servo motor control and monitoring system based on the human machine interface is a system that can control and monitor the speed of the servo motor. Servo motors can be controlled and monitored because of the mutual communication between the motor driver and the encoder that translates and controls the servo motor. The motor driver works on the command of a programmable logic controller that has been programmed with the help of a computer. For control and monitoring, the human machine interface is used as a tool that can interact with the user as a controller as well as monitoring the speed and position of the servo motor. The hardware used is the SIEMENS SIMATIC 1215C DC/DC/DC programmable logic controller, SIMATIC BASIC COMFORT human machine interface, SINAMICS V90 motor driver and SIMOTICS S-1FL6 servo motor. TIA PORTAL and V-Assistant software are used for programming and parameter setting of each system hardware.

Abstract

The virtual laboratory is one of the popular trends for implementing remote learning in vocational education during the COVID-19 to Post-COVID-19 pandemic, either as a substitute or as a complement to learning in a Real Laboratory. This study discusses the effectiveness analysis of the virtual laboratory as a practicum learning media to support remote or online learning implementation. The purpose of this study was to analyses the virtual laboratory's effectiveness as a learning media in the learning process of the Power Electronics Practicum in Post-COVID-19. The type of research applied is a Pre-experimental Design with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The Performance Appraisal Rubric is used as an instrument to collect research data. The virtual laboratory's effectiveness is known from the difference analysis of pretest and post-test scores using the Paired Sample T-test. Meanwhile, Cohen's d effect size analysis was used to determine the effect size. The results showed that the virtual laboratory was effectively used as a practicum learning media with a large effect category. Thus, it can be concluded that the virtual laboratory can be an effective choice for implementing practical learning in supporting the implementation of remote learning.
