Abstract

Aktivitas di sektor kehutanan, termasuk pendakian gunung, merupakan jenis pekerjaan yang memiliki risiko tinggi terhadap kecelakaan maupun gangguan kesehatan, salah satunya kelelahan berat dan hipotermia. Bukit Cendono, yang berlokasi di Jawa Timur, menjadi salah satu lokasi favorit pendaki, terutama saat musim hujan. Pada musim tersebut, suhu rendah dan kondisi cuaca ekstrem kerap meningkatkan kemungkinan terjadinya hipotermia. Minimnya pengetahuan para pendaki terkait cara mencegah dan menangani kelelahan serta hipotermia menjadi dasar dilaksanakannya kegiatan pengabdian ini. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui pendekatan sosialisasi, observasi, dan diskusi bersama 10 orang pendaki berusia 20–40 tahun. Materi disampaikan secara langsung melalui media edukatif seperti poster serta sesi tanya jawab seputar kesiapan fisik dan perlengkapan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebelum kegiatan, 60% peserta memiliki pemahaman rendah, namun setelah sosialisasi, terjadi peningkatan pemahaman secara signifikan, dengan 80% peserta masuk kategori “sangat baik”. Sosialisasi ini memberikan dampak positif dalam menambah kesiapsiagaan dan pengetahuan dasar pendaki terhadap risiko hipotermia dan kelelahan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu mendorong penerapan budaya K3 dalam aktivitas alam terbuka secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

In this case, we are improving the skills of rangers and training climbers at Bukit Cendono. Training in the use of splints is a concrete step to strengthen the first aid skills of Bukit Cendono rangers, increase preparedness for accidents in the field, and help foster a culture of safety in a conservation-based environment. This lack of understanding can certainly have a serious impact on the safety of the entire climbing team if not handled properly and quickly. However, after the socialization activity, which aimed to provide information and education to climbers about handling and using splints, there was a significant increase in the participants` level of understanding. With this improvement in skills, it is hoped that rangers will be able to handle injuries in the Bukit Cendono area more quickly and accurately, as well as share this knowledge with the community and other climbers so that the culture of safety in the outdoors becomes stronger and helps participants understand the basic concepts of splinting.

Abstract

Infeksi Saluran Pernapasan Akut merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan yang sering dialami pekerja konstruksi akibat tingginya paparan debu dan kondisi kerja yang kurang aman. Rendahnya pemahaman pekerja mengenai penyebab, gejala, dan pencegahan penyakit ini melatarbelakangi pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan serta kesadaran pekerja terhadap risiko Infeksi Saluran Pernapasan Akut dan pentingnya perilaku pencegahan dalam mendukung keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada perusahaan konstruksi Ghalea Elka Persada melalui tahapan koordinasi awal, pengukuran pengetahuan baseline menggunakan tes awal, pemberian edukasi interaktif, dan evaluasi menggunakan tes akhir. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan, dengan rata-rata skor tes akhir meningkat lebih dari 73,8 persen dibandingkan skor tes awal yang berada di bawah 20 persen. Edukasi yang disampaikan secara kontekstual terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi kesehatan pernapasan pekerja. Kegiatan ini menyimpulkan bahwa intervensi edukatif secara langsung di tempat kerja berpotensi besar mendukung pencegahan Infeksi Saluran Pernapasan Akut dan memperkuat budaya keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja pada sektor konstruksi.

Abstract

Background: Welders and grinding work at PT. X is carried out manually with non-ergonomic working postures, such as bending or prolonged standing. This study aims to describe work-related musculoskeletal disorder (MSDs) complaints based on individual characteristics (age, gender) and job-related factors (length of employment, daily working hours, and type of work). Methods: The method used is a descriptive quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, involving 47 respondents using a total population sampling technique. Data were collected using a musculoskeletal complaint survey instrument based on the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 9011:2021. Results: The results showed that the majority of respondents were male (93%), aged 25-34 years (42%), and had 1-5 years of work experience (70%). The most reported MSDs complaints were in the lower back (36%), upper back (55%), and neck (23%). Conclusion: Based on the descriptive analysis, both individual and occupational factors contributed to MSDs complaints, particularly in body parts affected by non-ergonomic working postures. Recommended interventions include proper posture training, provision of ergonomic aids to reduce physical load, and regular health check-ups to decrease the prevalence of MSDs among workers.

Abstract

Noise is a problem that is often found in every industry. The use of machines and tools that support the production process has the potential to cause noise. Noise is the unwanted sound of a business or activity in a certain level and time that can cause disturbances to human health and environmental comfort. UD RiWood is a wood industry in Sidoarjo district that produces goods in the form of pallets. Based on the identification results, there are noise hazards in the production process caused by production equipment. Many workers are not aware of this so that the socialization of noise hazards in the workplace is carried out. Educational activities use the lecture socialization method by delivering noise hazard material, interactive discussions, and providing educational media in the form of posters attached to the workplace area. Practitioners also use the interview method before and after using a test interview instrument (pre-test and post-test). The purpose of this educational activity is to increase workers' knowledge and awareness of the dangers of noise in the workplace. The results of the educational activities that have been carried out show that there is a significant increase in the results of the previous pre-test. The success indicator of these educational activities is the increase in general knowledge about occupational safety and health and related to the dangers of noise in the workplace which is measured by evaluation through a post-test conducted by practitioners.
