Abstract

The environment is a natural laboratory that presents unique phenomena that humans must study. Plants in the surrounding environment can be used as learning resources and media to bring students closer to their learning objects. Learning by utilizing objects in the surrounding environment can help the learning process. The diversity of tree in the Lambung Mangkurat University campus can be used as a source of learning and support learning based on the concept of diversity. One of the learning media that can be developed is a field guide book to guide users when learning independently in the environment. This study aims to describe the validity of the results of the development of a field guide "diversity of trees in the Lambung Mangkurat University campus". The feasibility of the field guide book was obtained from two experts and one high school biology teacher. The results of the validator's input and suggestions become material for correction and revision of learning products. The results of the field guide book validation show that the product is very valid and theoretically or procedurally feasible to be used for implementation at a later stage.

Abstract

Keanekaragaman tumbuhan terbagi atas Alga, Bryophyta, Pteridophyta, dan Spermatophyta yang hidup pada habitat perairan maupun daratan. Salah satu famili anggota tumbuhan Spermatophyta yang berhabitat di air adalah famili Hydrocharitaceae. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman spesies famili Hydrocharitaceae di kawasan rawa vegetasi galam Kecamatan Bati-bati Kabupaten Tanah Laut. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan diskriptif pada penelitan keanekaragaman spesies dari famili Hydrocharitaceae di kawasan rawa vegetasi galam dengan teknik pengambilan data secara jelajah. Data keanekaragaman spesies dianalisis secara diskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa rawa bervegetasi galam Kecamatan Bati-Bati Kabupaten Tanah Laut ditemukan enam spesies anggota famili Hydrocharitaceae, yaitu; Blyxa echinosperma (CB. Clarke) Hook.f., Hydrilla verticillata (L. f.) Royle., Hydrocharis morsus-ranae L., Limnobium laevigatum (Humb. & Bonpl. ex Willd.) Heine., Ottelia ovalifolia (R.Br.) Rich., dan Ottelia alismoides (L.) Persoon.

Abstract

Abstrak.Keanekaragaman jenis burung di rawa kalang Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Selatan (HSS) dapat dijadikan sebagai indikator karena kehidupan burung dipengaruhi faktor biotik dan abioti.kualitas lingkungan.Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis keanekaragamanjenis burung dan komposisi guild burung di kawasan rawa kalang.Melalui titik kelimpahan dan penjelajahan, burung kawasan rawa kalang diamati dan diidentifikasi visualdan didokumentasikan.Parameter yang didata adalah tipe habitat, jam dan menit kehadiran, nama spesies, dan jumlah individu. Data ditabulasidan dianalisis keanekaragaman jenisnya. Status perlindungan, konservasi,perdagangan, dan pemanfaatan  sumber daya pakan. Hasil pengambilan data dalam rangkaian kegiatan penelitian lapangan pada bulan Mei, Juli, dan Agustus 2017 mengidentifikasi 59 spesies burung dari 32 famili burung yang menggunakan habitat rawa kalang untuk beraktivitas. Tujuh belas diantara burung kawasan rawa kalang dilindungi PP No 7 Tahun 1999.Indeks keanekaragaman burung di kawasan rawa kalang sedang (H’ = 1,121). Komposisi guildyang paling banyak ditemukan adalah kelompok pemakan invertebrata dan vertebratasebesar 38,98%. Kata kunci: keanekaragaman, burung,rawa kalang,habitat, guild

Abstract

Abstract. The control of the learning material needs to be supported by the availability of learning resources, media, learning tools, and selection of strategy accuracy. Direct interaction in the field can provide real experiences, motivate and enhance students' knowledge. Learning the concept of aves in the Vertebrate Zoology course still contains a small local material of wetland. The aim is to describe the validity of the field guide and activities of students for using the field guide. The field guide was developed based on the results of the study and validated by experts. The level of readability is tested, while practicality is seen from their activity. The validity of the field guide is very valid, while the readability test is very good. Products of field guides have been made interestingly, easily, and be able to be used by students. Keywords: validity, practicality, field guide, bird, vertebrate zoology Abstrak. Penguasaan materi perlu didukung ketersediaan sumber belajar, media, perangkat pembelajaran, dan pemilihan ketepatan strategi. Interaksi langsung di lapangan dapat memberikan pengalaman baru dan nyata, memotivasi dan meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta didik. Pembelajaran konsep aves pada matakuliah Zoologi Vertebrata yang dilakukan selama ini masih sedikit memuat materi lokal berbasis lahan basah. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan validitas panduan lapangan hasil pengembangan dan aktivitas peserta didik dalam menggunakannya. Panduan lapangan dikembangkan berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan divalidasi ahli. Tingkat keterbacaan diuji oleh peserta didik, sedangkan kepraktisan dilihat dari aktivitas dalam penggunaan. Validitas panduan lapangan termasuk sangat valid, sedangkan uji keterbacaan sangat baik. Produk pengembangan telah dibuat menarik, mudah dipahami dan digunakan peserta didik. Kata kunci: validitas, kepraktisan, panduan lapangan, burung, zoologi vertebrata

Abstract

Myrtaceae atau jambu-jambuan merupakan tumbuhan pohon atau perdu yang sering ditemui di berbagai kawasan yang ada Indonesia. Pengembangan buku saku dengan potensi lokal dianggap mampu menjadi penunjang sumber belajar yang berbasis potensi lokal. Perkembangan 3D Pageflip banyak dipakai sektor pendidikan dan menghasilkan sumber pembelajaran menarik minat dan motivasi bagi pengguna. Tujuan penelitian yaitu Mendeskripsikan validitas buku saku Famili Myrtaceae di Kawasan Desa Sungai Bakau Kab. Tanah Laut; Penelitian dilakukan di program studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP ULM Banjarmasin. Metode Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pengambilan data secara sistematis menggunakan teknik sampling dan dilanjutkan dengan pengembangan bahan ajar melalui evaluasi formatif uji Tessmer. Validasi dilakukan oleh 2 orang ahli yang merupakan dosen pengampu mata kuliah Botani Tumbuhan Tinggi di Pendidikan Biologi FKIP ULM Banjarmasin. Penelitian ini hanya dilakukan sampai tahap uji pakar (expert review). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa validitas Buku Saku Famili Myrtaceae berbasis 3D Pageflip yang dikembangkan diperoleh total skor rata-rata 94,42% (sangat valid)

Abstract

This research is to determine the diversity of waterbirds in the Sebuku Strait (Pulau Laut Timur and Pulau Sebuku), Kotabaru, South Kalimantan. Communities of waterbirds identified in the mangrove forest (HM); rice paddies and ponds (Sw-Ta); wetlands and ponds (Ra-Te); open land, savannas, and shrublands (LT-PR-SB), beach front and strait (TPT-Se). The Research used point methods or point of abundance and exploration in the habitat types, at 6:00 - 11:00 pm (morning) and 1:00 - 6:00 pm (afternoon) in March until May 2014. Analysis the type of habitat, name of the species, and number of waterbirds were identified. Around the Sebuku Strait were found 28 species of 9 families waterbirds. Diversity of waterbirds around Sebuku Strait was high (H '= 3.237). It was found various families of waterbirds, i.e. family of Ardeidae (11 species), Alcedinidae (4 species), Anatidae (2 species), Anhingidae, Ciconiidae, Fregatidae, Rallidae, Recurvirostridae, and Scolopacidae (1 species). Abstract

Avifauna is a biological aspect, which is easy to use as a decision making to arrange the development of the mining-product port area on postmining. The objective of the research was to evaluate composition of avifauna species in the area of PT Arutmin Indonesia – NPLCT based on the presence or the residence, the preference to the habitat type, the dominant diet, and the propagation indicator. Evaluation was conducted through grouping the field data or published databased on such four parameters and comparing to the references. Among 57 avifauna species in the area, 39 are resident, because they were always found in all observations. A single species is an endemic to Kalimantan. Five other species may be migrants originating relatively far from the research area. Avifauna was likely to prefer secondary forest to other habitat types. Based on dominant diet, there were frugivore, granivore, insectivore, carnivore, nectarivore, omnivore, and piscivore. Abstract

PT Arutmin Indonesia - North Pulau Laut Coal Terminal (PT AI-NPLCT) adalah pelabuhan bongkar muat batubara di bawah manajemen PT Arutmin Indonesia. Fauna lingkungan darat belum pernah dipantau, karena fokus utamanya  biota perairan (laut). Tujuan penelitian adalah mendata spesies  aves, mamalia, dan reptilia (diurnal),  amfibi (nokturnal)  dan statusnya serta menganalisis kehadiran  spesies di tipe habitat dan penggunaan habitat oleh spesies. Dengan metode titik kelimpahan dan penjelajahan, fauna diamati langsung secara visual, diidentifikasi berdasarkan pada suara, atau ditangkap-lepas. Parameternya  adalah tipe habitat, waktu (jam, menit) kehadiran, nama spesies, dan jumlah individu. Foto digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi spesies yang sukar diidentifikasi. Data ditabulasi dan dianalisis, sehingga diperoleh frekuensi relatif kehadiran spesies di satu tipe habitat dan frekuensi relatif penggunaan tipe habitat oleh satu spesies. Status kelindungan, keterancaman, dan keperdaganganannya pun ditentukan. Ditemukan 62 spesies fauna, tetapi  1  di antaranya belum teridentifikasi. Terdapat 2 spesies endemik Kalimantan. Frekuensi relatif kehadiran spesies di satu  tipe habitat dan frekuensi relatif penggunaan habitat oleh satu spesies bervariasi. Lima belas spesies dilindungi menurut PP No. 7/1999. Satu spesies hampir punah, 4 hampir terancam, 48 sedikit diprihatinkan, dan 8 belum dinilai IUCN. Satu spesies masuk dalam Appendix I dan 5 Appendix II CITES. Abstract

Pengelolaan dan pemantauan lingkungan PT Arutmin Indonesia-NPLCT yang mengoperasikan pelabuhan batu bara di Kabupaten Kotabaru, Kalimantan Selatan difokuskan pada fauna laut. Avifauna diurnal di lingkungan PT Arutmin Indonesia-NPLCT belum dieksplorasi dan didokumentasikan. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis penggunaan tipe habitat oleh avifauna dalam tiga periode pengamatan. Spesies avifauna diidentifi kasi pada titik/lingkar kelimpahan dan penjelajahan di hutan mangrove, hutan sekunder, permukiman/perkantoran, lahan terbuka/padang rumput/semak belukar, dan perairan. Frekuensi jumpaan setiap spesies avifauna dan frekuensi relatif penggunaan tipe habitat oleh spesies dihitung berdasarkan pada unit waktu berdurasi 5 menit per unit. Selama penelitian ditemukan 57 spesies avifauna di seluruh lingkungan tersebut. Jumlah atau keragaman spesies burung cenderung turun di perairan dan naik di empat tipe habitat lainnya mulai dari periode pengamatan pertama hingga ketiga. Hampir semua spesies ditemukan di lebih dari satu tipe habitat. Frekuensi relatif penggunaan tipe habitat oleh spesies-spesies itu bervariasi. Hanya dua spesies saja yang ditemukan 100% menggunakan satu tipe habitat untuk aktivitasnya. Environment management and monitoring of PT Arutmin Indonesia-NPLCT operating a coal port in Kotabaru Regency, Kalimantan Selatan was used to be focused on marine biota. Diurnal avifauna in the area of PT Arutmin Indonesia-NPLCT was not explored and documented. The objective of the research was to analyze the habitat type utilization by avifauna in three observation periods. Avifauna species was identifi ed in abundance points and survey in mangrove forest, secondary forest, resettlement/offi ce, open area/grassland/ shrub, and water. Scan frequency of every avifauna species and relative frequency of habitat type utilization by species were counted based on a fi ve-minute unit. Fifty seven avifauna species were found in the area. The number and the diversity of species tended to decrease on the water and increase in the other habitat types from the fi rst period to the third one. Almost all species were found in more than a single habitat type. Relative frequency of habitat type utilization by species varied. There were two species utilizing a single habitat type for their activity.

Abstract

Along with the rapid development of the times, the use of technology is widely used by students in schools. The use of technology-based teaching aids will make teaching and learning activities more fun, easy, and efficient. One of the teaching aids is teaching materials. Teaching materials that are easy, practical, and close to life will make it easier for students to understand the lesson. Cell division material is still considered a difficult learning material. This is because the characteristics of the object are indeed difficult to be presented in real to students. Therefore, research and development on teaching materials are carried out in the form of cell division material modules for class XII SMA based on critical thinking skills. This research and development aim to describe the validity of the e-module material for class XII high school cells based on critical thinking skills. This type of research is research and development with a 4D model. Aspects of validity include aspects of compatibility and participation. The research data were analyzed descriptively in categories. The results showed that the e-module developed was in the very appropriate category with a value of 3.83, which means that this e-module was in accordance with the objectives of learning Biology at SMA 4 Banjarmasin and received a feasibility score of 3.93 in the very feasible category, which means that the module is technically very feasible to be used as a source of learning Biology.
