Abstract

Etnobotani merupakan ilmu yang mempelajari pemanfaatan tumbuhan dalam kehidupan  dan adat istiadat suku bangsa. Ilmu ini bermanfaat untuk menjaga pengetahuan masyarakat lokal atau etnis tertentu dalam pemanfaatan tumbuhan berdasarkan nilai hidup masyarakat. Kalimantan Selatan memiliki beraneka ragam tumbuhan yang berpotensi besar untuk dimanfaatkan masyarakat.. Tetumbuhan tersebut berada pada berbagai habitat, seperti hutan, rawa, hutan mangrove, dan riparian sungai.  Penelitian bertujuan  untuk mendeskripsikan kajian etnobotani Mahoni (Swietenia mahagoni) di kawasan desa Sabuhur Kabupaten Tanah Laut. Metode penelitian menggunakan  deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aspek botani , farmakologis,  ekonomis,  Sosio-antropologis, dan linguistik tumbuhan Mahoni.

Abstract

Ethnobotany Galam (Melaleuca cajuputi, subspecies cumingiana) on the bank of Sabuhur river still not available yet in Ethnobotany course. Learning product based on local content are expected to add insight to the use of local plant. Material related to regional potential are specials, that are adapted to local situation. Galam has many benefits, which is learning support material. This study aims to describe the Ethnobotany of Galam on the bank of Sabuhur river and validity of popular scientific books. This research is descriptive research and formative evaluation of the Tessmer test. Based on expert judgment, the book has an average score of 87.5% and is included at very valid category. The popular scientific book has procedural and theoretical feasibility.

Abstract

Cyperaceae has a very large number of members and massive distribution. Species of Cyperaceae live around water and land. The grass (family Cyperaceae) that lives around galam-vegetated swamps in Bati-Batii sub-district has never been studied. Cyperaceae plants can be used as environmental bioindicators. This study to describe the plant species Cyperaceae in the Galam (Melaleuca cajuputi subsp. cumingiana) vegetated swamp. The research method uses a descriptive approach. The research area is a swamp with galam vegetation in Bati-Bati District. There were 5 species of Cyperaceae (Cyperus pilosus, Cyperus pulcherrimus, Eleocharis dulcis, Fimbristylis autumnalis, and Fuirena umbellata). Environmental factors affect the presence of species from Cyperaceae in the Galam vegetated Swamp area.

Abstract

The pandemic that has occurred around the world has affected various areas of life, including education. Learning in schools has been directed at distance learning, including biology practicum activities in the laboratory. Teachers are required to innovate and create interactive media. One of the interactive learning media that can connect the subject and object of learning is a virtual lab. Learning media must be suitable for use in the learning process. This study aims to describe the feasibility of a virtual lab based on a scientific approach on the structure and function of plant tissue. Research and development carried out using the Borg & Gall (1983) model, until the main product revision stage. The feasibility of learning media resulted from expert validation and user readability tests. Expert validation shows that the virtual biology lab based on a scientific approach is a very valid category. The readability test in a virtual biology lab based on a scientific approach showed a very good category. The virtual lab learning media based on a scientific approach to the material on the structure and function of plant tissue can be used independently or guided in distance learning.

Abstract

Kawasan mangrove desa sungai bakau merupakan kawasan yang didalamnya terdapat berbagai macam tumbuhan dari herba sampai pohon salahsatunya ialah familia aracae, dan keanekaragaman araceae dikawasan ini belum pernah dilakukan penelitian sebelumnnya, hal ini yang melatarbelakangi peneliti untuk melakukan sebuah penelitian tentang keanekaragaman spesies Araceae yang ditemukan di kawasan mangrove Desa Sungai Bakau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keanekaragaman spesies Araceae di Kawasan Mangrove Desa Sungai Bakau Kecamatan Kurau. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan teknik jelajah untuk pengambilan data pada kawasan mangrove Desa sungai bakau dan dikembangkan menjadi buku saku. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan ada 9 spesies Araceae ditemukan di Kawasan Mangrove Desa Sungai Bakau, yaitu: Calocasia esculenta, Xanthosoma sagittifolium, Dieffenbachia seguine, Colocasia esculenta var. ilustrilis, Alocasia macrorrhiza, Colocasia esculenta var.elena, Caladium bicolor var.florida, Syngonium auritum, dan Syngonium podophyllum.

Abstract

Pada umumnya rumah tinggal masyarakat Desa Pagatan Besar memiliki pekarangan yang ditumbuhi atau ditanami berbagai jenis tumbuhan. Namun, tumbuhan itu lebih difungsikan sebagai penghias pekarangan atau sekedar penghasil buah dan tidak untuk sumber obat. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat terkait dengan pemanfaatan tumbuhan di pekarangan sebagai obat. Rangkaian selengkapnya pengabdian kepada masyarakat terdiri atas persiapan, pelaksanaan (penyuluhan), dan evaluasi. Penyuluhan dilaksanakan secara kolaboratif oleh dua orang fasilitator yang dibantu mahasiswa pendidikan biologi. Subjeknya adalah 25 anggota masyarakat Desa Pagatan Besar yang terdiri atas pemuda yang tergabung dalam Karang Taruna dan para ibu anggota PKK. Peserta antusias mengikuti penyuluhan. Pengetahuan mereka tentang tumbuhan obat meningkat signifikan. Nilai tes pra-penyuluhan adalah 36,36 atau terkategori kurang, sedangkan pasca-penyuluhan mencapai 90.91 (terkategori sangat baik). Counseling In The Framework Of Increasing The Knowledge Of The Pagatan Besar Village Community About The Use Of Medicinal Plants In general, the houses of the people of Pagatan Besar Village have yards that are overgrown or planted with various types of plants. However, these plants functioned more as garden decorations or just as fruit producers and not as a source of medicine. This community service aims to increase community knowledge related to the use of plants in the yard as medicine. The complete series of community service consists of preparation, implementation (counseling), and evaluation. Counseling was carried out collaboratively by two facilitators who were assisted by biology education students. The subjects were 25 members of the Pagatan Besar Village community consisting of youths who were members of Karang Taruna and mothers who were members of the PKK. Participants enthusiastically participated in the counseling. Their knowledge of medicinal plants increased significantly. The pre-counseling test score was 36.36 or in the less category, while the post-counseling score was 90.91 (very good category).

Abstract

Bahan Ajar Berbasis Aplikasi Android “Sigema” merupakan salah satu bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan tuntutan era revolusi industri 4.0 yang dapat diakses melalui smartphone. Pembelajaran konsep Sistem Gerak Manusia memerlukan bahan ajar yang sesuai untuk mengatasi kesulitan peserta didik. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan validitas dan kepraktisan. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan, menggunakan model Alessi & Trollip (2001) dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahap yaitu (1) Planning (perencanaan); (2) Design (perancangan); dan (3) Development (pengembangan). Subjek uji kepraktisan terdiri dari 15 (lima belas) peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 8 Banjarmasin. Data diperoleh dari instrumen penilaian berupa instrumen kepraktisan. Analisis kepraktisan berdasarkan kriteria Widoyoko (2020). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Bahan Ajar Berbasis Aplikasi Android “Sigema” Konsep Sistem Gerak Manusia yang dikembangkan memperoleh nilai kepraktisan 4,35 tergolong sangat praktis. Kata kunci: Bahan ajar, android, kepraktisan

Abstract

In addition to secondary natural forests, other habitat types that also exist in the Special Purpose Forest Area of Universitas ​​Lambung Mangkurat (KHDTK ULM) are grasslands and rubber plantations. While previous studies have documented macroscopic fungal species in secondary natural forests, there has been no documentation on fungi in the last two habitat types. This study aimed to analyze macroscopic fungal species present in these two habitat types and the substrates they inhabit. Fungal species and their substrates were recorded on a 250 m x 8 m track between May and September 2024. Each track was placed at threelocations representing grasslands and three locations representing rubber plantations. In total, ten fungal species were found in grasslands and 7 species in rubber plantations. The similarity index of the fungal communities in the two habitats was categorized as very low (23.53%). Additionally, more fungal species were found on substrates such as dead trunks (rotten wood) compared to those found in the soil

Abstract

Bio-ecology research is essential to support ecosystem conservation and management, such as that conducted in the coastal forest of Tabanio, South Kalimantan. This forest has high biodiversity and serves an important function in coastal ecosystems. However, published bio-ecology research is still small and fragmentary. This research aims to conduct a comprehensive literature review on the extent of bio-ecology recording of the Tabanio coastal forest. The method used was the PRISMA model to review relevant literature. The results found 73 documents with the keyword <bio-ekologi “hutan pantai” “Tabanio” Kalimantan Selatan> and 22 documents with the keyword <bio-ecology of "coastal forest" "Tabanio" south Kalimantan> Google Scholar.  One of them was also indexed in Scopus. After reviewing, six documents were found that were published about bio-ecology. In contrast, most of them were published in the form of derivative studies, namely the development of educational tools based on local potential. Others are stored in the campus repository. Most studies examined flora biodiversity and population structure; some were fauna studies. However, although there are various related studies, more in-depth studies on ecosystem dynamics and species interactions are still needed. This further research is needed to provide the basis for more effective and sustainable conservation and ecosystem management efforts in Tabanio's coastal forests.

Abstract

Background: Lingkungan lahan basah memiliki tingkat kemasaman rendah yang menyebabkan sayuran sulit tumbuh. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan kepada mahasiswa tentang budidaya hidroponik sehingga menciptakan efek keberlanjutan yang bermanfaat baik bagi individu maupun keluarga. Tujuan pelatihan ini yaitu optimalisasi kemandirian pangan keluarga, serta mendukung keberlanjutan ekonomi peserta melalui hidroponik. Metode: Kegiatan pelatihan dilakukan melalui metode pendidikan masyarakat dengan pendekatan partisipatif dan edukatif pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi. Selain itu, pelatihan ini diharapkan mampu menjadi salah satu solusi pangan mandiri. Hasil: Produksi berbagai bahan pangan, khususnya sayur dan buah secara mandiri serta pemilihan jenis tanaman yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan gizi keluarga sangat diperlukan guna mencegah penyakit. Kegiatan pelatihan hidroponik skala rumah tangga untuk lingkungan lahan basah di Kalimantan Selatan terbukti terlaksana dengan baik. Kesimpulan: Pelatihan terbukti efektif meningkatkan kesadaran, kepedulian, dan keterampilan mahasiswa terhadap alternatif kemandirian pangan skala rumah tangga.
