Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the inquiry-contextual approach on the science process skills of high school students in learning ecosystem materials using information technology media, namely google form, google meeting, google classroom and whatsapp group. This research method is a pre-experiment with the type of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The multiple choice questions consist of ten indicators of science process skills, each of wich contains one questions. The sampling technique was Simple Random Sampling from the population of SMA Negeri 2 Sukabumi City. The result showed that the inquiry-contextual approach had an influence in training students science process skills. It is proven in the acquisition of n-gain scores, per-indicator percentage values, gender dominance in answering correctly and the result of LKPD scores. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan inkuiri-kontekstual terhadap keterampilan proses sains peserta didik sekolah menengah atas pada pembelajaran materi ekosistem dengan menggunakan media teknologi informasi yaitu google form, google meeting,google classroom dan whatsapp group. Metode penelitian ini berupa pra-eksperimen dengan jenis One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Soal pilihan ganda berjumlah sepuluh indikator keterampilan proses sains dimana masing-masing memuat satu soal. Teknik pengambilan sampel berupa Simple Random Sampling dari populasi SMA Negeri 2 Kota Sukabumi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pendekatan inkuiri-kontekstual memiliki pengaruh dalam melatih keterampilan proses sains peserta didik. Dibuktikan dalam perolehan skor n-gain, nilai persentase per-indikator, dominasi gender menjawab benar dan hasil nilai LKPD.

Abstract

Limited technology and information, as well as teachers who do not maximize the use of technology in learning, it is necessary to have learning media that utilize technology that can facilitate an educator in conveying material or information to educators. The technology that is currently being developed is Augmented Reality (AR) technology. The use of technology and information has also changed the way of communication. The era of the 21st century demands that every student be able to communicate visually, especially in biology materials whose concepts are partly abstract and require visual assistance. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of Augmented Reality on the visual communication skills of students in one of the high schools in Sukabumi Regency. The method used in this research is Quasi-experiment (quasi-experiment). The research design used is Posttest-Only Control Group Design with purposive sampling. This research was conducted on class XI students in the 2021/2022 academic year. The instrument used is in the form of a Mind Map task. The research data shows that learning using Augmented Reality can train students' visual communication with the visible improvement of the results of making Mind Map, namely the average overall score of 77% in the good category, with the results on the Mind Map task 1 obtained an average of 72% and Mind Map task 2 obtained an average of 82% and the average of student motivation is 3,85 with good category. So it can be concluded that the use of Augmented Reality learning media has an effect on increasing students' visual communication skills and is useful in the learning process in measuring students' skills and student motivation. Key words: Augmented Reality, Visual communication, Student Motivation   ABSTRAK Penggunaan teknologi dan informasi juga merubah cara komunikasi. Era abad 21 ini menuntut agar setiap siswa mampu berkomunikasi visual, terutama dalam materi biologi yang konsepnya sebagian bersifat abstrak dan memerlukan bantuan visual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaran Augmented Realityterhadap kemampuan komunikasi visual siswa di salah satu SMA yang berada di Kabupaten Sukabumi. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Quasi-experiment (eksperimen semu). Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Posttest-Only Control Group Design dengan teknik pengambilan sampel Purposive Sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas XI tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Instrumen yang digunakan ini berupa tugas pembuatan Mind Map. Data hasil penelitian menunjukan pembelajaran menggunakan media pembelajaran Augmented Reality dapat melatih komunikasi visual siswa dengan terlihatnya peningkatan dari hasil pembuatan Mind Map yaitu rata rata nilai keseluruhan sebesar 77% dengan kategori baik, dengan hasil pada tugas Mind Map 1 diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 72% dan tugas Mind Map 2 diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 82% dan rata-rata nilai motivasi siswa sebesar 3,85 dengan kategori baik. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran Augmented Reality berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi visual siswa dan berguna dalam proses pembelajaran dalam mengukur kemampuan keterampilan siswa dan juga motivasi siswa .  Kata kunci: Augmented Reality, Komunikasi visual, Motivasi Siswa

Abstract

This study aims to determine effect of Self Regulation Learning (SRL) learning strategy on the metacognitive knowledge of high school students. The research method used is Quasi Experiment with Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The research population used in this series of research, namely students at SMAN 4 Sukabumi City. The sampling of the two classes of samples was carried out using the purposive sampling method, which means that the sampling technique took into account certain components so that the sample could be said to be in accordance with the research criteria to be carried out. There is a difference in the mean and N-gain value of the scores obtained by the two research classes. It is shown that the experimental class has a higher average score than the control class. In addition, based on hypothesis testing on the independent sample t-test, the value of sig. of 0.000 which means H0 is rejected H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that the application of Self Regulation Learning (SRL) has an effect on increasing students' metacognitive knowledge on the excretory system material. Key words: Self Regulation Learning, Metacognitive Knowledge Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Self Regulation Learning (SRL) terhadap pengetahuan metakognitif peserta didik SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Quasi Eksperiment dengan desain Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian yang digunakan dalam rangkaian penelitian ini, yaitu peserta didik di SMAN 4 Kota Sukabumi. Pengambilan kedua kelas sampel tersebut dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling yang berarti teknik pengambilan sampel dengan mempertimbangkan beberapa komponen tertentu sehingga sampel tersebut dapat dikatakan sesuai dengan kriteria penelitian yang hendak dilakukan. Terdapat perbedaan rata-rata dan nilai N-gain dari skor yang diperoleh oleh kedua kelas penelitian, Ditunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen memiliki nilai rata-rata lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Selain itu berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis pada independent sample t-test ditunjukkan nilai sig. sebesar 0.000 yang artinya H0 ditolak H1 diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan Self Regulation Learning (SRL) berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan metakognitif peserta didik pada materi sistem ekskresi. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the digital literacy skills of high school students through the use of Google Lens on gender-based plant concepts. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a total sample of 27 students consisting of 11 male students and 16 female students who were randomly selected or purposive sampling and based on the results of the researcher's consideration. The treatment given in this study is learning biology on plant concepts by using Google Lens to analyze students' digital literacy skills. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, digital literacy skills in male students and female students on each indicator obtained a score with a good category. In the first indicator, internet searching male students and female students obtained 82% results with good categories, in indicator 2 hypertextual navigation male students obtained 79% results and female students 84% with good categories, in the 3rd indicator content evaluation male students obtained 81% results and female students 83% with results both categories good. The last indicator is that the knowledge assembly of male students obtained 84% results and female students 80% with good categories. It can be concluded that learning biology on plant concepts using Google lens is very helpful for students in constructing their own knowledge, in addition to being able to analyze digital literacy skills, it can also improve student learning outcomes. Key Words: Digital Literacy, Google Lens, Plant ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan literasi digital Siswa SMA melalui penggunaan Google Lens pada konsep tumbuhan berbasis gender. Metode yang digunakan ialah deskriptif kualitatif dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 27 siswa terdiri dari 11 siswa laki-laki dan 16 siswa perempuan yang dipilih secara acak atau purposive sampling dan didasarkan oleh hasil pertimbangan peneliti. Treatment yang diberikan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pembelajaran biologi pada konsep tumbuhan dengan menggunakan Google Lens untuk menganalisis keterampilan literasi digital siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan, keterampilan literasi digital pada siswa laki-laki dan siswa perempuan pada masing-masing indikator memperoleh nilai dengan kategori baik. Pada indikator pertama, internet searching siswa laki-laki dan siswa perempuan memperoleh hasil 82% dengan kategori baik, pada indikator 2 hypertextual navigation siswa laki-laki memperoleh hasil 79% dan siswa perempuan 84% dengan kategori baik, pada indikator ke 3 content evaluation siswa laki-laki memperoleh hasil 81% dan siswa perempuan 83% dengan hasil keduanya berkategori baik. Indikator terakhir yaitu knowledge assembly siswa laki-laki memperoleh hasil 84% dan siswa perempuan 80% dengan kategori baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran biologi pada konsep tumbuhan dengan menggunakan Google lens sangat membantu siswa dalam mengkontruksi pengetahuannya sendiri, selain dapat menganalisis keterampilan literasi digital, juga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Abstract

Higher order thinking skills are thinking that trains students' cognitive abilities at a higher level, namely students are able to combine facts and ideas. This study aims to analyze higher order thinking skills using a conceptual change model. The research subjects were 32 students of class VIII SMP in the city of Sukabumi. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The instrument used is about higher order thinking skills as many as 30 multiple choice options. The indicators are C4 (Analyze) C5 (Evaluate) C6 (Create). The results obtained that the average pretest score was 54.6 and the posttest average was 87.1, the ngain value was 0.7, which is an increase in height. So that this Model pembelajaran conceptual changeis feasible to use to improve higher-order thinking skills. Key words: Higher order thinking, Conceptual Change Model   ABSTRAK Kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi adalah berpikir yang melatih kemampuan kognitif siswa pada tingkat yang lebih tinggi, yaitu siswa mampu menggabungkan fakta dan ide. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dengan menggunakan model konseptual change. Subjek penelitian adalah 32 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri di Kota Sukabumi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi sebanyak 30 pilihan pilihan ganda. Indikatornya adalah C4 (Analyze) C5 (Evaluate) C6 (Create). Hasil yang diperoleh rata-rata nilai pretest 54,6 dan rata-rata posttest 87,1 nilai ngain 0,7 yang merupakan peningkatan tinggi badan. Sehingga model perubahan konseptual ini layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Kata kunci: Berpikir Tingkat Tinggi, Conceptual Change Model

Abstract

Digital literacy is one of the skills that students must have in the current era of industrial revolution 4.0. This study aims to analyze the level of digital literacy of middle school students, particularly in relation to the concept of the human circulatory system, in terms of the use of mobile learning in natural subjects. This survey is a descriptive qualitative survey conducted in May 2022 using an analytical survey methodology. The subjects of this survey are 24 eighth grade students SMPTIT Al-Hikmah. The instrument used was the digital literacy survey adopted from Japelidi. The results show that students' digital competence falls into five categories: very high, high, medium, low and very low. On the other hand, students have a high level of digital competence with an average percentage of the overall indicators of 71.51%. The conclusion of this survey is that based on the results of the survey, students have a high level of digital literacy in using Android-based mobile learning. Keywords : digital literacy, mobile learning, human circulatiory system   ABSTRAK Literasi digital merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki pelajar pada era revolusi industri 4.0. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat literasi digital siswa SMP yang ditinjau dari penggunaan mobile learning pada mata pelajaran IPA khususnya pada konsep sistem peredaran darah manusia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi analisis yang dilakukan pada Mei 2022. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 24 orang siswa kelas VIII SMPT IT Al-Hikmah. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket kuesioner mengenai kemampuan literasi digital yang diadaptasi dari Japelidi. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kemampuan literasi digital pada siswa dibedakan menjadi lima kategori diantaranya sangat tinggi, tinggi, sedang, rendah dan sangat rendah. Sementara tingkatan literasi digita siswa berada pada tingkatan tinggi dengan rata-rata presentase keseluruhan indikator yaitu 71,51%. Simpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa tingkat literasi digital siswa berada pada tingkatan tinggi ditinjau dari penggunaan mobile learning berbasis android melalui skor yang didapat pada angket kuesioner. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the critical thinking ability of high school students using the Inquiry Based Learning model assisted by sukuraga puppet media on the sensory system material. This study used a study sample of 35 students. The type of research used in this study is pre-experimental with a pretest posttest one group design research design. This research was conducted as many as 2 meetings using the Inquiry Based Learning learning model assisted by Wayang Sukuraga media. The research instruments used are 8 items of description questions with indicators that include 5 indicators of critical thinking, namely 1) Providing simple explanations, 2) Making further explanations, 3) Building basic skills, 4) Making inferences, 5) Setting strategies and techniques. The results showed an increase after being given treatment for students' critical thinking abilities. This can be seen by the increase in posttest results based on 5 critical thinking indicators of 85.8. The N-Gain score in this study was 0.64 which belonged to the "moderate" category. This shows that the Inquiry Based Learning learning model assisted by Wayang Sukuraga media can improve students' critical thinking skills. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel penelitian sebanyak 35 peserta didik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pra-eksperimental dengan desain penelitian pretest posttest one group design. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak 2 kali pertemuan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Inquiry Based Learning berbantuan media Wayang Sukuraga.Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah 8 butir soal uraian dengan indikator yang meliputi 5 indikator berpikir kritis yaitu 1) Memberikan penjelasan sederhana, 2) Membuat penjelasan lebih lanjut, 3) Membangun keterampilan dasar, 4) Membuat inferensi, 5) Mengatur strategi dan teknik. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan setelah diberikannya perlakuan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dengan meningkatnya hasil posttest berdasarkan 5 indikator berpikir kritis sebesar 85,8. Skor N-Gain yang pada penelitian ini sebesar 0,64 yang termasuk kategori “sedang”. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Inquiry Based Learning berbantuan media Wayang Sukuraga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Abstract

The aimed of this research is to analyze the influence of the double loop problem solving (DLPS) model on students' spatial reasoning abilities in digestive system subjects. The research used a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. SMAN 1 Ciemas students' ability to think spatially is the variable that is measured. Research was led in two classes on the subject of the digestive system in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. Before being handed over to students, all questions are validated by experts and then used with the help of research applications to find research results. The research data was tested for normality and homogeneity and finally the research hypothesis was tested using the Mann-Whitney test. The results of the research show that the DLPS model can influence students' spatial thinking abilities in class XI digestive system material at SMAN 1 Ciemas. In conclusion, the DLPS learning model with students' spatial thinking abilities can be an effective solution to face the progress of 21st century education. Abstract

During the Covid 19 pandemic, there were many changes in learning patterns and habits, both those carried out by lecturers and students. Most lectures were conducted online during the Covid 19 pandemic to avoid the spread of the Covid virus. After the pandemic, courses changed again, namely some offline, some online, and some blended learning. After the Covid-19 pandemic, lecturers needed to know the non-cognitive state of students in adjusting to post-covid-19 recovery conditions. This study aims to analyze the perspective of non-cognitive factors in lectures after recovering from COVID-19. The method used in this research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The subjects in this study were 69 students from a private university in West Java. Instruments used include questionnaires and interview guidelines. The results showed that students' perceptions of non-cognitive factors after the Covid-19 pandemic had: student motivation in lectures and doing assessments increased after the Covid-19 pandemic; non-cognitive factors that were important for students included motivation, self-confidence, perseverance, tenacity, the concept of self, and anxiety.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to obtain a description of the mastery of the concept of biology teacher candidates through the study of learning difficulties in the concept of development stage of animal embryo. The subjects of the study were 43 students of semester 6 of academic year 2013 which contracted embryology subjects. The instruments used consist of diagnostic questions (essays and multiple choice questions) and interview format. Data analysis was done quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that the mastery of the concept of students on aspects of C1 (remember) is 53% (enough); C2 (understanding) of 77% (good); C3 (applying) of 98% (excellent); And C4 (analyze) of 58% (enough).
