Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students' tree thinking, the delivery of animalia material which is still abstract and learning method still teacher centered. So,this research used Modified Free Inquiry learning model which is student-oriented. This study aims to determine the implications of the Modified Free Inquiry learning model on the tree thinking skill of high school students in the Kingdom Animalia lesson. The type of research used in this research is Quasi Experiment with Non-Equivalent Control Group Design research design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, which are class X MIPA 4 as the experimental class and X MIPA 6 as the control class. The results showed that the tree thinking skill of students in the Kingdom Animalia lesson resulted in an average pretest score of 37.84 and an average posttest score of 81.32 with an N-Gain average score of 0.74 in the high category. Based on the hypothesis test, the significance value of Sig (2-tailed) is 0.000, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The emergence of the experimental class students' tree thinking skill on each indicator varied but generally had an N-Gain score in the high category. The results of the student response questionnaire regarding the use of the Modified Free Inquiry model show an average score in the very good category (81-100), this is also in line with the teacher's response at the time of the interview. The results of the three instruments in this study indicate that the Modified Free Inquiry learning model has implications for the tree thinking skiil of high school students in the Kingdom Animalia lesson.

Abstract

PHBS adalah semua perilaku kesehatan masyarakat yang dilakukan atas kesadaran pribadi. Tujuan PHBS secara umum adalah sama, yakni meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakan untuk mau menjalankan hidup bersih dan sehat. PHBS di lingkungan keluarga sudah sejak lama digaungkan pemerintah Indonesia melalui Kementerian Kesehatan. Namun, PHBS di lingkungan keluarga kini terasa semakin krusial mengingat keluarga merupakan tempat berkumpul di rumah di masa new normal pandemi virus corona. PHBS di lingkungan keluarga adalah pelaksanaan prosedur kesehatan tertentu dengan memberdayakan anggota keluarga perawat di lingkungan keluarga. Mereka diharapkan melakukan pola hidup sehat untuk menciptakan sekolah dan lingkungan di sekitar rumah yang sehat pula. Manfaat PHBS di rumah adalah menciptakan lingkungan yang bersih dan sehat. Kegiatan di rumah akan berjalan lancar, sedangkan kesehatan anggota keluarga perawat di sekitar juga tidak terganggu. Pengabdian dilaksanakan pada hari senin tanggal 8 Februari 2021 secara daring dan asesmen lapangan secara luring di rumah keluarga perawat di kota dan kabupaten Sukabumi. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk ceramah dengan bantuan power point, diskusi dengan para perawat dan juga demonstrasi 6 langkah cuci tangan yang baik dan benar. Pesertanya adalah perawat di kota dan kabupaten Sukabumi yang berjumlah 40 orang. Pengabdian dilaksanakan secara mandiri dan terlaksana dengan baik sesuai dengan tujuan yang diharapkan.

Abstract

Penelitian deskriptif ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penggunaan penilaian autentik pada model pembelajaran jigsaw untuk menilai kemampuan berkomunikasi siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan adalah siswa SMA yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas X MIA6 SMAN 3 Kota Sukabumi. Pengambilan data dilakukan selama tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan serta tahap akhir. Pada tahap perencanaan melakukan kajian literatur, pada tahap pelaksanaan, kelas dibagi menjadi enam kelompok masing-masing kelompok berjumlah lima orang dengan model jigsaw dimana setiap anggota kelompoknya mendapatkan tugas mempresentasikan materi tentang pencemaran lingkungan kemudian setiap anggota kelompok melakukan penilaian autentik dan pada tahap akhir terdapat kuis berupa soal uraian. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa peer assessment, self assessment, lembar observasi, soal uraian dan rubrik penilaiannya, angket, wawancara dan catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pelaksanaan penggunaan penilaian autentik pada model jigsaw dapat mengungkap indikator-indikator komunikasi siswa berdasarkan skor rata-rata rubrik penilaian komunikasi terkait pencemaran lingkungan pada komunikasi lisan kategori cukup (75,83%) dan komunikasi tulisan kategori baik (83%). Guru dan siswa memberikan tanggapan yang positif terhadap penilaian autentik, serta penilaian autentik yang dikembangkan memiliki keunggulan dan keterbatasan dalam pelaksanaannya. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penilaian autentik dapat menilai kemampuan komunikasi siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kemampuan pengembangan penulisan modul materi SMA terintegrasi self assessment pada calon guru biologi di Sukabumi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 15 orang mahasiswa calon guru Biologi di Universitas Muhammadiyah Sukabumi dan melibatkan 6 orang dosen yang memiliki bidang keahlian yang sesuai dengan materi pada modul yang disusun mahasiswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar reviewer modul yang diadaptasi dari Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (BSNP) dengan indikator 1) kelayakan isi, 2) Kelayakan penyajian, 3) Kelayakan bahasa dan 4) kelayakan kegrafikan, serta self assesement berupa catatan harian (log book) yang diisi mahasiswa selama mengerjakan modul. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah sebanyak 15 modul Biologi SMA yang telah direview dan direvisi sesuai masukan reviewer. Rata-rata kelayakan isi dari modul adalah 69,33, kelayakan penyajian 70, kelayakan bahasa 72,89 dan kelayakan kegrafikan 68,8. Dari catatan harian mahasiswa diperoleh informasi yang menggambarkan perkembangan penulisan modul, kesulitan saat mengerjakan modul dan manfaat yang dirasakan saat menyusun modul.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Argument Driven Inquiry learning model on higher-order thinking skills based on the learning style of VIII grade junior high school students on the excretory system material. This type of research uses a quasi-experimental design, with a non-equivalent control group design. The samples of this study were students of class VIII F as the experimental class, and class VIII D as the control class at SMP Negeri 6 Sukabumi City. The instrument used is in the form of high-level thinking ability test questions or questionnaires in the form of multiple choice questions as many as 27 questions. The second instrument is using a student response questionnaire to learning using the Argument Driven Inquiry model which consists of 10 questions, and the third instrument is a student learning style questionnaire consisting of 33 statements. Based on the results of the average post-test scores in the experimental class and control class obtained 82.29 and 67.48. Based on the results of the independent sample t-test of the Argument Driven Inquiry learning model, the value of Sig. 0.000, then there is a significant effect of the Argument Driven Inquiry learning model on the students' higher-order thinking skills in junior high school.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pendidikan di perguruan tinggi harus diorientasikan ke masa depan. Disrupsi pada dunia Pendidikan memberikan tantangan tersendiri bagi perguruan tinggi dalam menyiapkan kompetensi mahasiswa yang semakin berkembang dan kopleks. Kebijakan kurikulum MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) diharapkan mentranspormasi sistem pendidikan nasional khususnya di perguruan tinggi agar kurikulum Pendidikan tinggi dapat menyesuaikan dengan cepat terhadap berbagai perubahan. Kurikulum MBKM disiapkan untuk menjamin bahwa proses pembelajaran yang diselenggarakan dapat memberikan bekal kompetensi yang cukup bagi mahasiswa untuk menghadapi masa depan. Tidak hanya hanya pengalaman belajar yang harus disiapkan oleh dosen untuk mendukung implementasi OBE, system penialaian atau evaluasi pun harus disiapkan dalam upaya untuk menjamin outcome diperoleh oleh mahasiswa setelah mengikuti suatu program pembelajaran. Penelitian deskripsip yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang bagaimana presepsi dosen serta implementasi system penilaian berbasis OBE yang sudah dilakukan oleh dosen pada program studinya. Penelitian ini melibatkan (n=36 dosen) pada salah satu perguruan tinggi swasta yang ada di wilayah Jawa Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa system penilaian berbasis OBE belum sepenuhnya di implementasikan oleh dosen di program studinya. Dosen masih menghadapi berbagai kendala sehingga belum system penilaian berbasis OBE belum sepenuhnya di ilmplementasikan

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan sosialisasi dan pendampingan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah melalui maggot Hermetia illucens dan menerapkan PHBS dalam pelaksanaannya. Mitra yang terlibat meliputi sebanyak 25 warga RW 06/RT 04 kelurahan Limusnunggal Nanggeleng kecamatan Cibeureum Kota Sukabumi yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Metode pengabdian yang diterapkan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan melalui enam tahap, antara lain: 1) tahap pemilihan mitra, 2) tahap sosialisasi kegiatan, 3) tahap pelatihan, 4) tahap aplikasi, dan 5) tahap monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil yang  didapat dari kegiatan pengabdian ini antara lain: 1) Terbentuknya kelompok mitra yang akan memberikan informasi terkait pengetahuan tentang zero waste, maggot dan perilaku hidup bersih sehat (PHBS), 2) Meningkatnya pemahaman peserta kegiatan dengan N-Gain kategori sedang, 4) peserta kegiatan dapat membuat media pengembangbiakan maggot Hermetia illucens dengan standar yang baik dan mengaplikasikan PHBS dalam pembuatannya, sehingga dapat dijadikan media alternatif pengelolaan sampah organik di lingkungannya, 5) adanya respon positif dari peserta kegiatan dalam mengikuti pengabdian ini.

Abstract

This descriptive study aims to determine the reasoning of the formal-post formal operations of biology teacher candidates in three aspects of lectures. The research sample consisted of 76 students who took part in the 2019/2020 academic year lectures which were taken using the purposive technique. The sample consisted of 29 students in the General Biology practicum subject, 24 students in the invertebrates practicum subject, and 23 students in the vertebrate zoology practicum subject. The data was collected through a test technique using formal-post-formal operational reasoning questions that were developed by themselves and had met the constructive and empirical valid criteria. Data analysis regarding the level of formal-post formal operational reasoning was carried out using the percentage correct score technique obtained for each item so that the correct score was obtained from all students. The results showed that there was a difference in the percentage level of formal-post formal operational reasoning for each level of student lectures. The highest to the lowest level of reasoning was obtained by students who took the vertebrates zoology practicum course by 67%, invertebrates zoology practicum by 67%, and general biology practicum by 17%. Also, students' formal operational reasoning in each subject tends to be lower when compared to their post-formal operational reasoning. The most common indicators of formal reasoning among the three aspects of the lecture are proportional reasoning, and indicators that are lacking are probabilistic and correlational.

This study aims to ascertain whether there is an impact on students' problem-solving skills and digital literacy. The research method uses Matching Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Fifteen students each from the experimental class and the control class made samples. The experimental class received an Interactive Demonstration model with the help of games. Tests of problem-solving skills and digital literacy and surveys asking respondents about their responses were used to obtain data. The analysis findings suggest that game-assisted Interactive Demonstration models can support and significantly influence high school students' capacity for problem-solving and digital literacy regarding immune system materials. The results showed that students in experimental classes on immune system content had high problem-solving skills, as seen by an average post-test score of 82, with an average N-Gain score of 0.74. According to the results of the hypothesis test, H1 is accepted because the significance value of Sig (2-tailed) is 0.000. The average score for digital literacy at level 4 is 56.77, with criteria usually meeting expectations. The average score on the response questionnaire was 69.33, which is excellent. Abstract

Students' critical thinking abilities are still low for both female and male students. Initial data results obtained from the pretest, female students with a percentage of 35% and male students with a percentage of 27%. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the project-based learning model assisted by the flipped classroom on gender-based junior high school students' critical thinking abilities on the concept of water pollution. This research uses a quantitative type of research with a sample of class VII students at SMPN 6 Sukabumi City, even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The instrument used is a critical thinking skills test. The results obtained show that the average posttest score for female students is 74.2 ± 12.6 and male students is 69.0 ± 11.0. Both of them have increased from the pretest and posttest, but the female scores are superior. The percentage per ability indicator based on gender in indicators 1,2,3 shows that women are superior to men. However, in indicators 4 and 5, women and men are the same. Overall, the data shows that there is no significant difference in learning using the Project Based Learning model assisted by Flipped Classroom between female and male students. However, based on indicators, female students are superior to male students.
