Abstract

Developments in technology have contributed to the progress of the tourism industry, including in the online travel agent (OTA) business. OTA business competition in Indonesia is quite high, especially targeting Z generation (gen Z) consumers. This research aims to conduct a study of the intention of gen Z consumers in using OTA. This research consists of three independent variables, namely perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and trust. The number of respondents in the research was 248 and the research data was collected using a questionnaire. The data was processed using linear regression techniques using the SPSS application. The results are explain that the three variables have an influence on the intention of gen z consumers to use OTA. The results of the study will contribute to OTA providers to understand the behavior of using OTA applications by gen Z consumers for traveling.

Abstract

Villages, as the lowest unit of government, play a crucial role in the national economy. Most of Indonesia's population lives in villages, so a strong foundation for economic growth should be built from the village level to achieve self-reliance and economic improvement of the community. Teluk Mata Ikan Tourism Village, located in Nongsa, Batam, is an attractive destination for tourists looking for an experience of nature and local culture. Teluk Mata Ikan Village offers the charm of stunning natural beauty and underwater life rich in marine life diversity. The village is surrounded by a stretch of clear blue sea, soft white sand and green tropical vegetation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh estetika dan kualitas produk terhadapkeputusan pembelian konsumen di cake shop. Latar belakangnya adalah pentingnya keduafaktor tersebut dalam menarik minat konsumen, terlebih di era digital yang dipengaruhi olehmedia sosial. Gap masalah yang ditemukan adalah minimnya penelitian yang mengukurdampak estetika dan kualitas produk dalam konteks pasar pastry Indonesia. Rumusan masalahyang diajukan adalah seberapa besar pengaruh estetika dan kualitas produk terhadap keputusanpembelian konsumen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan survei kuesionerkepada 400 responden di Kota Batam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa estetika produkberpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian dengan koefisien 0.492, sedangkankualitas produk juga berpengaruh positif dengan koefisien 0.260. R-Square 0.424mengindikasikan bahwa kedua faktor ini dapat menjelaskan 42,4% variasi dalam keputusanpembelian konsumen. Berdasarkan temuan ini, disarankan agar cake shop fokus padapeningkatan estetika dan kualitas produk sebagai strategi untuk menarik konsumen danmeningkatkan keputusan pembelian.

Abstract

Hotel reservations are currently dominated by online bookings from Online Travel Agent, therefore thisresearch was created to assist hoteliers in knowing how the role of online reviews can influence consumerpurchase intentions in making online reservations. There is no previous research that discusses this topic withthe setting in Batam, so this research was made to discuss it. This research used quantitative method and testedusing IBM SPSS, with the target population of respondents who have made hotel reservations using OTA inBatam, at the end of this study it is proven that the independent and mediating variables have a significantinfluence on the dependent variable. However, this study has limitations, which there are still invalid items andthere are still many that can be researched in more detail for further research.Keywords: Online Booking Intention, Purchase Intention, Reviewer Expertise, Online Travel Agent

Abstract

Batam is the largest contributor to the number of foreign tourists to the Riau Islands and has great potential as the main entry point for tourism. This research aims to determine tourist characteristics and the influence of social media communication and brand equity on destination brand loyalty and tourist satisfaction in Batam. This research applies quantitative methods using the population of foreign tourists who come to Batam. Apart from that, the sample used is data on foreign tourists who come to Batam for the purpose of traveling. This research obtained the results that social media communication and brand equity factors influence tourist satisfaction, then tourist satisfaction has a positive influence in mediating these factors on destination brand loyalty. The limitation of this research is the scope of the research which only involves foreign  tourists who travel to Batam.

Abstract

Berwisata sangat penting dalam membantu seseorang bersantai dan beristirahat. Perilaku wisatawan merupakan respon pada niat berkunjung kembali ke objek dan destinasi wisata, tetapi perilaku wisatawan juga sebagai respon tidak mengunjungi kembali ke objek dan destinasi wisata tersebut. Hal ini dapat disebabkan karena citra destinasi yang positif atau negatif berdasarkan pengalaman wisatawan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui alasan wisatawan berkunjung ke Jembatan 1 Barelang dan persepsi masyarakat serta pedagang sekitarnya mengenai perilaku wisatawan lokal. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, yang membahas secara rinci mengenai perilaku wisatawan lokal berdasarkan persepsi masyarakat dan pedagang setempat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, perilaku wisatawan lokal menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar (77,8%) wisatawan yang berkunjung merupakan masyarakat Kota Batam. Sedangkan perilaku wisatawan lokal ramah dan baik (61,1%), hal tersebut disebabkan karena wisatawan yang datang berkunjung dengan tujuan untuk berlibur dan berekreasi dengan demikian terjadi interaksi yang terkesan lebih akrab. Saran untuk pihak pengelola agar mengembangkan lokasi melihat sunset lebih luas, dan variasi dari menu pedagang kuliner sehingga dapat meningkatkan citra dan niat berkunjung kembali. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian lanjut, dapat menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif, dan objek penelitian fokus pada perilaku pedagang dari sudut pandang wisatawan.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between the role of online reviews usefulness and credibility in driving customer satisfaction and continued use of Traveloka. Set within the context of Indonesia’s post-pandemic tourism recovery and the growing competition in the digital marketplace, the research underscores the importance of understanding consumer behaviour in the tourism sector. Adopting a quantitative approach, data were collected from 300 respondents in Batam City, Riau Islands Province, using purposive sampling through an online survey. Data analysis was conducted using structural equation modelling with partial least squares. The results reveal that consumer reviews significantly influence customer satisfaction by offering reliable information regarding service quality and convenience. Positive reviews help people trust the platform, which makes them more likely to keep using it. In addition, the findings show that customer satisfaction has a significant positive impact on the intention to continue using the service, meaning that satisfied users are more likely to maintain their engagement and consistently use the Traveloka digital platform over time. However, external factors, such as government policies and macroeconomic changes, may also impact travellers' preferences. To enhance the competitiveness of digital platforms in the travel industry, the study highlights the critical role of continuous innovation. Abstract

This research aims to elucidate the relationship between servant leadership and organizational citizenship behavior mediated by employee resilience. The research employed a descriptive and verificative method with data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling. Primary data were collected through a survey of 398 employees from a state-owned bank in the Batam City region. The findings reveal that employee resilience has a positive and significant effect on the relationship between servant leadership and organizational citizenship behavior. The impact of servant leadership on organizational citizenship behavior is more dominant compared to the influence of employee resilience. However, this study has limitations. Organizational citizenship behavior is not solely influenced by servant leadership and employee resilience but is also affected by other factors, necessitating further research. The results of this study also suggest expanding the scope of the analytical unit to provide a broader contribution to the understanding of organizational citizenship behavior.

Abstract

Desa wisata merupakan salah satu tujuan dari Pembangunan Berkelanjutan dengan arah pemberantasan kemiskinan. Desa Wisata memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan, tidak hanya dari potensi alam, tetapi juga dari potensi sumber daya manusia agar memiliki kemampuan di dalam mengelola operasional kegiatan desa sehingga dapat menjadi salah satu pertumbuhan ekonomi. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan kegiatan positif yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan masyarakat desa dalam hal pengelolaan desa wisata, diantaranya adalah pelatihan-pelatihan yang berkaitan dengan hygiene dan sanitasi, kebersihan lingkungan, hingga pada pengelolaan sosial media dan pembuatan company profile sebagai salah satu kebutuhan desa wisata agar dapat dipromosikan secara maksimal. Kegiatan ini merupakan salah satu projek desa dengan target peserta adalah masyarakat yang tinggal dan menetap di desa wisata Teluk Mata Ikan, Kecamatan Nongsa, Kelurahan Sambau. Hasil dari kegiatan ini, masyarakat lebih mengenal terkait hygiene dan sanitasi, hingga pentingnya pemanfaatan sosial media agar dapat memperkenalkan desa wisata teluk mata ikan kepada seluruh turis baik yang ada di kota Batam, maupun dari luar Batam.
